The United States had lead in the coronavirus cases throughout 2020. Now India is the leading country for the coronavirus. It hasn't stopped the U.S. from being No. 1 in an area that is considered fixable but it won't because of the "culture wars."
Let's get to the National Rifle Association's Mother's Day message. It featured a white woman and a child both holding semi-automatic rifles. The message is dog whistling white extremists into believing that immigrants, Muslims, Antifa, Black Lives Matter and criminal thugs are making white women grab firearms in droves.

Shootings happened in many parts of the United States. This is what the NRA is doing. Promoting more stupidity under guise of "protecting freedoms." You have the right to own firearms. You have a right to post you holding firearms on social media. However, once someone pulls the trigger, you have fired a round. Wherever that round hits, it's a target. It doesn't matter....something was hit.
Folks are either dead or being treated for gunshot wounds. Folks died and folks have life altering injuries. To the NRA, that's the cost of freedom. This is the disgraceful shit that makes the NRA a problem and not a solution.

There was a shooting at Time Square in New York City. So let's get to it. Let's bring an honest discussion on why gun violence will continue to be a problem here in the United States.

So the mass shooting in Colorado Springs, Colorado was committed in a "senseless way." It happened at a birthday party and in front of juveniles. The terrorist drove to a birthday party at a mobile home, walked inside and started shooting. He killed six people and then turned the gun on himself.
The victims were identified as:

Joana Cruz
Jose Gutierrez
Sandra Ibarra
Jose Ibarra
City officials told CNN that it could take several days to conduct autopsies and make forensic identifications for the victims. Colorado Springs police didn't release any new information on Monday.
Colorado Springs Police say the suspected shooter in the incident appeared to have shot himself and died. The suspect was Sandra's boyfriend, according to a family member who identified the terrorist's name as "Junior."
According to Sandra Ibarra's Facebook page, she was listed in a relationship with the terrorist.
A fundraiser to help pay for funeral expenses for the victims has been set up on Facebook.
TESSA, a Colorado Springs non-profit that works with victims of domestic violence, issued the following statement in response to the shooting.
"With heavy hearts, we struggle to make sense of the shocking violence, and devastating loss that ripped through our community on Sunday morning. While we face the harsh realities of domestic violence on a daily basis, no amount of exposure ever lessens the sheer weight of grief following such senseless tragedy. Our hearts are with those who mourn lost loved ones, and as always, we stand in solidarity with this community as we seek healing. While no amount of progress will ever undo the injuries sustained following this loss, we remain steadfast in our pursuit of a community free of violence where all people can thrive, and we will continue to support recovery in any way we can. The Colorado Springs Police Department said officers responded to a report of the shooting around 12:18 on Sunday morning. Officers found six adults dead inside the residence. One person was taken to the hospital but succumbed to the injuries.
The El Paso Sheriff's Department, the FBI and the police department are trying to piece together the motives to why this terrorist opened fire on people just trying to celebrate a moment.
Gov. Jared Polis still reeling over the Boulder King Soopers mass shooting is shocked and saddened by this. He condemns the actions of this terrorist and repeats the demands for state legislature to do something to curb gun violence in the state.

Colorado Springs mayor John Suthers said, "The only time we’ve had this many [deceased] victims in a single incident goes all the way back to 1911, and it was an ax murder, if you can imagine. A couple of families."
Hundreds miles away, New York City mayor Bill de Blasio is demanding an end to the violence in the five boroughs. The latest mass shooting happened in the heart of New York City.
The man suspected of a shooting in New York City's Times Square that injured three bystanders, including a 4-year-old girl, has been identified but is still on the run, police said Monday.

The terrorist was identified by two senior New York City Police Department officials as the person of interest in the Saturday afternoon shooting on West 45th Street and 7th Avenue, NBC New York reported. The officials said detectives think terrorist was trying to shoot his brother but missed, hitting the pedestrians in the busy tourist hub.
Police on Saturday released a video of the person of interest.
The girl, identified as Skye Martinez, was shopping for toys with her family when she was struck in the leg, police said.

Wendy Magrinat, 23, was struck in a thigh, and Mạrcela Aldana, 43, was hit in a foot, they said.
Magrinat, a Rhode Island resident who was on a Mother’s Day trip to New York City, told NBC New York that doctors told her she will likely have a bullet lodged in her leg for the rest of her life because more damage would be done if it was removed.
None of the victims' injuries were life-threatening, but Skye had to undergo surgery, authorities said.
The NYPD on Monday posted video of an officer, identified as Alyssa Vogel, putting a tourniquet on the little girl, then picking her up and rushing toward an ambulance with her.
"As a mom, I think my motherly instincts just went to, you know, 'I need to help her,'" Vogel told ABC News on Monday.
NYPD Deputy Commissioner John Miller wrote on Twitter: "Whether they’re rushing toward the danger to help save a little girl or rushing home to family after their tour this #MothersDay — the dedication of NY’s Finest knows no bounds."
De Blasio tweeted Saturday that "the flood of illegal guns into our city must stop."
Shooting incidents in New York City nearly tripled in the month of April compared with last year, from 56 to 149, according to NYPD crime statistics.

It never happens in your community....... Until it does! Every community in the United States will eventually have a legacy. A legacy of tragedy. Gun violence and COVID-19 will affect your town, your family and your life. So I don't want to hear that bullshit about how this gun reform is taking away your rights. I don't want to hear that protesting against police killing people of color is hate on cops in general. I don't want to hear talk about the coronavirus being a myth. I don't want hear folks say this is not white privilege. I don't want to hear folks say masks impede their freedoms. I don't want to hear the shit about guns saving lives. These incidents are a tragic part of American history.
