Karen Abbott, the governor of Texas signed off a law that allows unlicensed gun owners to carry firearms in public. It's a dog whistle appeal to white nationalists who want to leave states in the Midwest and Northeast. With the state of Texas population's growing, the white nationalists are fearing a Brown invasion.

So in order to protect their "way of life" the white nationalist Republicans will sign off legislation that go against the very things they were voted out for.

A Texas woman was shot by an off-duty cop in Copperas Cove on Sunday after a road rage incident. 

Lecresha Murray said that the argument happened after she made a U-turn in front of the officer's car because she started feeling sick and all of this led to the shooting.

"I did a U-turn in the middle of the street because I was going to go to the hospital," Murray said. "I started feeling sick."

The police responded around 12:45pm Sunday after calls came in for reports of gunfire.

A shooting in a residential neighborhood involved a motorist and an off-duty cop.

When the cops arrived, they discovered the off-duty cop was involved in the shooting. 

The off-duty cop was not injured during the incident, but Murray was taken to local hospital for treatments of a gunshot wound towards her leg.

During the argument, the man pulled out a gun and shot her.

"When I turned around to run back to my truck and get out of there, I just heard pop pop pop pop and all I could do was bend over and duck," she said.

She said the man did not identify himself as a member of law enforcement. He did after the shooting.

Residents gathered around to hear the shooting and that's when the cop identified himself.

"We were not going to have in this neighborhood because this neighborhood is quiet and cohesive and we were not going to have this mess," one resident said to the junk food media anonymously.

Murray's daughter called 9-1-1.

One resident told her children to hide in the closet, but many others stood in their front yards yelling to the man with the gun to put it away.

"If the guy with the gun tried to run, he wasn't going [anywhere] because the whole neighborhood would have tackled him because we were all out here," a neighbor said.

Murray was treated for her injuries and released from the hospital.

The cop is in the freezer pending an investigation into whether the use of force was justified. The Texas Department of Safety's Texas Rangers are investigating the matter.

It never happens in your community....... Until it does! Every community in the United States will eventually have a legacy. A legacy of tragedy. Gun violence and COVID-19 will affect your town, your family and your life. So I don't want to hear that bullshit about how this gun reform is taking away your rights. I don't want to hear that protesting against police killing people of color is hate on cops in general. I don't want to hear talk about the coronavirus being a myth. I don't want hear folks say this is not white privilege. I don't want to hear folks say masks impede their freedoms. I don't want to hear the shit about guns saving lives. These incidents are a tragic part of American history.

We haven't forgotten about the many mass shootings in the United States. COVID-19 doesn't stop individuals from picking up firearms and killing others.

And I am getting fucking tired of white nationalists and their enablers of color complaining about the lack of Black fathers. The fathers are either killed by gun violence, police violence, COVID-19, heart diseases, diabetes, freak accidents and just being Black in America.
