Fox Entertainment confirms that The Simpsons will continue into 2023. The network greenlighted the animated sitcom for Season 33 and Season 34. It is currently one of the longest running animated programs. It has over 600 episodes. The longest running animated show currently running in the world is the German stop-animation series Sandmännchen.

You really expect to be that judgemental of an animated adult sitcom that's been on the air for over 30 years?

Fans of the longtime animated sitcom The Simpsons are calling out producers over another flashback episode where Homer Simpson is a teen in the 1990s. They are quick to go back to the past episodes where Homer was growing up in the 1970s.

Fans worked up over the 1990s Homer.

An episode that featured J.J. Abrams, the famed actor, podcaster and movie director showed a flashback where Homer was a teenager growing up in the 1990s. Fans were quick to point out why is Homer's actual age.

The Simpsons bio says he is 39 years old. But of course, the fans want to see cognitivity. 

The Simpsons premiered in 1987 as a part of the Tracey Ullman Show before branching into its own franchise. Since 1989, the series has looked into the lives of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson as well as the citizens of the fictional town of Springfield.

The show is a staple of Fox.

It's well known for sparking massive conspiracies and predictions. 

As with longtime Simpsons fans, some get worked up over the ideas and pitches of episodes.

The reality is that the show will have continuity errors. It's fiction. 

Just like the far-right being upset over Dr. Seuss, Mr. Potato Head, The Muppets and Pepe Le Pew. It's all smoke and mirrors. It's just something for people to be riled up over but fail to see the bigger picture.

For those who were born in the 1980s and 1990s, growing up watching this adult sitcom, they would notice some continuity errors. For those born in 2000s and 2010s, this is just normal.

Hey, the actors who voice the characters are in the late 60s and early 70s. They have done the show for over 30 years. They have given their voices to video games, product placements, television promos, commercials for food (i.e. Butterfinger), spin-off shows and crossovers. 

The Simpsons are a part of American history. They will move where history moves. 

For reality to sink in, folks must first realize that The Simpsons is an animated adult sitcom. It bends the rules. I will admit that the first seven seasons when it was written by Conan O'Brien really were funny.

The show still carries a lot of weight on Fox. If one said actor (i.e. Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer) resigns or passes away, then it could throw the show into limbo. 

The show confirms that Asian, African American, Native American and Hispanic will no longer be performed by white actors. They will give the roles to people of color for the foreseeable future.

Kevin Michael Richardson, Alex Desert, Eric Lopez and Mario Jose will play some of the characters who are people of color.

Some of the notable actors have passed away. Marcia Wallace and Russi Taylor who had recurring roles on the show passed away. They retired Ms. Krabappel (played by Wallace), reduced Martin Prince and Sherri and Terri's (played by Taylor) roles or recasted the voice to Grey DeLisle.
