The Republicans are going to get a wake up call in 2022 if they don't pull their heads out their asses. They better get use to the new norms. This insurrection was an attack on our country.

The impeachment trial of former president Donald J. Trump begins. The U.S. Senate will convene for a vote to move forward the trial. Once the vote is confirmed, the Senate will have the House Impeachment Managers bring forth evidence to convict Trump.

If found guilty, Trump will be forbidden to run for federal office. He will lose his presidential pension and he held liable in federal court. He will lose his executive privilege to not be sued.

At 1pm, the Senate will begin the trial and its expected to last at least a week.

The House of Representatives had impeached Trump for the second time. In the wake of the U.S. Capitol riots, the House had issued an Article of Impeachment. The charge of inciting an insurrection is very serious.

Trump appeared at the infamous "Stop The Steal" rally in Washington, DC on January 6.

He told thousands of supporters to march to the U.S. Capitol to pressure Republicans to stop the vote on certifying joe Biden and Kamala Harris through the Electoral College.

They said they done this for Trump.

So they went to the Capitol and demanded entry. They managed to overtake the police and managed to break into the building. Congress was evacuated.

The rioters said they wanted to "Hang [former vice president Mike] Pence" and get that Bitch [Nancy Pelosi]. They were targeting Pence, Pelosi, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Adam Schiff, Chuck Schumer, Maxine Waters, Eric Swalwell and Mitt Romney.

The rioters destroyed Nancy Pelosi's office and tore through other lawmakers' offices.

They bragged they were doing for Trump. At no time, they were remorseful for their actions. 

Trump refused to call the national guard. The White House pressured him to do that infamous "Go home in peace" video while he still claimed the election was stolen from him.

It was over 3 hours before the national guard came to help the police expel the rioters.

Five people died in this attack. There were multiple injuries and lots of damage to the U.S. Capitol.

So far, there were 250 individuals criminally charged for this. There's outrage that some of these rioters are given release and permissions to carry on with their lives while awaiting trial.

The FBI has troves of evidence and faces.

Black leaders slammed federal judges for allowing rioters release and even granting one an opportunity to go on a retreat in Mexico. Trust me, that rioter may not come back.

Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms banned Trump. They also banned other individuals who had played a role in inciting the riots and spreading misinformation about the election.

Republicans want to move on and are trying to drive President Joe Biden's message of "unity" as a wedge. They are hoping to retake the Congress in 2022.

Fox News also is under fire. The white nationalist propaganda outlet is named in two lawsuits in regards to their false claims that voting machines were changing votes from Trump to Biden. The outlet is trying to place the blame of the insurrection on the feet of Biden, Democrats and their competitor CNN.

The Republicans refuse to hold Trump accountable. They fear the repercussions of angering Trump's extremist base. 

This incident not only damaged the reputation of the United States, it also exposed racism, class warfare, white privilege and the power of social media.

It's time to push for a conviction, If Republicans refuse to push for a conviction, they should be held accountable. The country doesn't want to move on from this. This insurrection was just a taste of what we're going to expect in the Biden years.

Republicans and conservatives prove to be shameless hypocrites. The amount of white privilege and phony outrage being cranked up by these politicians and agitators is pathetic. Do they not know what we're facing fight now.

We have a global pandemic that killed over 500,000 Americans. We have civil unrest due to the previous president's inflammatory rhetoric. We have gun violence that's gone out of control.

We are seeing racism everyday from white people refusing to wear facial masks, getting angry over policies, calling the law on people of color and using entitlement as an excuse to not face accountability for one's actions.

The impact is felt. We have a mission to make sure that the current president lives up to the promises he said he will do for the Black community.

Oh by the way, conservatives: You don't get to say Blue Lives Matter. 

You don't support police reform nor accountability. You support moving on. We're tired of moving on to the next tragedy. This shit needs to stop now. 

The Republican Party talks a mean game about being the "party of law & order" but in reality, they want to enforce law on the oppressed. 

Republicans cater to dirty cops, crooked politicians, crooked religious leaders, white nationalists, anti-government extremists, Karens and conspiracy nuts.

Trust me, there's going to be more incidents like this.

Those involved are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Trump is innocent in the trial conducted by the U.S. Senate.
