The Supreme Court handed former president Donald J. Trump a blow. He can't use executive privileges or any lame excuses to prevent a state or federal investigation into criminal activity involving his finances.

The Court gave Trump a major setback on Monday in his ill-timed quest to keep his taxes from being seen by Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance. The New York District Attorney is trying to obtain the former president's tax returns and other records as a part of a criminal investigation into unlawful transactions.

The Court roundly rejected Trump's lawyers' request to hold off an October 7th ruling directing him to comply with the state's subpoena. His accounting firm Mazars USA must hand over his tax returns immediately to Vance.

"The work continues," Vance said in a statement.

Vance had previously said in a letter to Trump's lawyer that his office would be free to immediately enforce the subpoena if the justices reject Trump's request.

A Mazars spokesman said the company was aware of the Court's action and "remains committed to fulfilling all of our professional and legal obligations." A lawyer for Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Court basically told Trump that he's not a king and he can't use executive orders and privileges to shield himself from responsibilities.

He is not above the law.

The Court also struck down a lawsuit being issued by adult entertainer/activist Stormy Daniels. Daniels and Karen McDougal are suing Trump over their non-disclosure agreements that were pushed upon them by former Trump attorney Michael Cohen. 

The women claim that Trump paid off six figures to keep them quiet about affairs. The National Enquirer shelved the bombshell stories. The former fixer was sentenced to federal time out for four years after pleading guilty to fraud, lying to federal authorities and tampering with evidence.

The Supreme Court includes Chief Justice John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, Stephen Breyer, Samuel Alito, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett.

Trump, Elliott Broidy and Sean "Screwball" Hannity were named as clients of Cohen in a federal court room. Broidy was recently pardoned by Trump. 

Screwball Hannity is facing heat over allegations of instigating the insurrection, pushing misinformation on the airwaves, sexual harassment, tax fraud and using his connections with Trump to get his son and daughter into privileged schools. He allegedly used his private jet to fly his son's tennis team to sporting events.

We say hold them accountable. I mean what I say.

My hopes are Sean "Screwball" Hannity will be off the airwaves soon. He has been getting away with lot things lately. Fox News will be paying the price for his antics and they'll eventually cut his ass loose if they are dragged into another scandal. 

Trump better hope Vance doesn't find anything incriminating.
