Mississippi Republican governor Tate Reeves follows Texas governor Greg Abbott in ending the mandate on wearing facial masks. We are still in a global pandemic where the United States leads in coronavirus deaths. We're at 550,000 Americans dead from this shit.

Both states are cleaning up from the major winter storm that affected their water reserves and electrical grids.

The two Republican white nationalist governors are caving to pressure. They are now lifting the mandate and going back to 100% full capacity.

And when the pandemic spikes again, guess who'll they'll blame?

President Joe Biden.

Biden said it was nenatheral thinking to just dismiss the pandemic and countless lives lost to this deadly disease. 

Reeves said that he wants the office "out of the business of what people do in Mississippi."

Medical doctors are saying that it's too damn early for Americans to ease back on the pandemic.

Many companies are not going to listen to the governors. Kroger,  Walgreens, CVS, Macy's, JCPenney, Walmart, Target, Best Buy and many national restaurant chains (corporately owned) will continue to enforce mask mandates. They will continue to have employees and shoppers in their businesses wearing facial protection.

Safety is very important in the wake of this deadly pandemic. If Texans and Mississippians want to risk their lives because they refuse to follow safety measures, that's them. 

Mississippians are struggling to get clean water due to the governor's failures.

The decision comes as governors across the U.S. have been easing restrictions, despite warnings from health experts that the pandemic is far from over. Like the rest of the country, Texas has seen the number of cases and deaths plunge. Hospitalizations are at their lowest levels since October, and the seven-day rolling average of positive tests has dropped to about 7,600 cases, down from more than 10,000 in mid-February.

Only California and New York have reported more COVID-19 deaths than Texas.

Abbott is caving to the extremists within the Republican Party. The Republicans want to businesses to reopen to full capacity. They want us to "just get on with our lives."

The United States is on pace to have over 600,000 Americans dead from the coronavirus. 

It been a rough year in 2020. Expect things to get worse in 2021.

The coronavirus does not care about your race, gender, sexuality, religion, politics, your thoughts on wearing a mask, your thoughts on opening up America, your job, your vacation, your education, your personal wealth or who won an election.

The coronavirus is a disease that can kill.

Jackson, Mississippi with a population of 242,000 residents is facing a water crisis. Due to the winter storm, water reserves are strained and overwhelmed. 

Mississippi has a 35% Black population. Many of those who are dealing with water restrictions and struggling to get water are Black residents.

Reeves doesn't seem to care much about this.

The first casualty of the Biden administration. The nomination for the White House Office Of Management and Budget is withdrawn. Neera Tanden has withdrew her nomination due to the opposition from Republicans and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV).

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris can't trust the Republicans. They can't trust Manchin, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ).

Manchin said he will not support Tanden because of some stupid tweets criticizing Republicans and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

Straight up racism and sexism at it finest.

Manchin seems to have a forgiveful memory. He allowed white nationalists to be confirmed to the White House and Supreme Court.

The White House on Tuesday pulled Neera Tanden's nomination to lead the Office of Management and Budget amid opposition from key senators, dealing the first Cabinet-level defeat for President Joe Biden.

Joe Manchin and Bernie Sanders are fucking ridiculous.

Biden said in a statement that Tanden had requested to withdraw her name from consideration, and that she would still serve in his administration.

"I have the utmost respect for her record of accomplishment, her experience and her counsel," Biden said.

He added, "She will bring valuable perspective and insight to our work."

The former Clinton campaign aide and president of the left-leaning think tank Center for American Progress came under fire during the confirmation process for past critical comments of lawmakers on both sides of the aisle. The Washington Post first reported the White House's decision.

The announcement comes after several key senators said they would oppose Tanden's nomination, citing her past comments aimed at lawmakers and posts on social media.

Though Tanden withdrew her nomination, the White House saw no path to her confirmation, according to an administration official.

"We exhausted every path forward," the official said.

In a letter to Biden, Tanden said it was the "honor of a lifetime" to be considered for the role.

"I appreciate how hard you and your team at the White House has worked to win my confirmation. Unfortunately, it now seems clear that there is no path forward to gain confirmation, and I do not want continued consideration of my nomination to be a distraction from your other priorities," Tanden wrote.

Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Republican Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Mitt Romney of Utah all said in recent weeks that they would oppose her confirmation, pointing to Tanden's past criticisms of lawmakers on social media.

Without Manchin's support, Tanden would have needed a Republican senator to vote in favor. Democrats hold a narrow majority in a 50-50 Senate with Vice President Kamala Harris able to cast tie-breaking votes in the chamber.

Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska was seen as a potential swing vote and met with Tanden on Monday afternoon to discuss her nomination. Murkowski told CNN shortly before the nomination was pulled that she had still not made a decision on Tanden.

A senior administration official said that in addition to Murkowski, the backing of independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona were also very much in doubt.

Neera will have a role in the administration and possibly a role in helping Democrats win the Senate.

Sanders, the chairman of the committee that oversaw Tanden's confirmation hearings, told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room" that he did not believe Tanden had the votes to be confirmed.

"Well, right now Neera Tanden does not have the votes, so we'll see what happens in the future," Sanders said in an interview moments before the White House announced her nomination was being pulled.

Tanden apologized and expressed regret over her past tweets during Senate confirmation hearings last month.

She appeared before the Senate Homeland Security Committee and apologized for some of the criticism she has previously directed at congressional Republicans and expressed regret over past tweets. Tanden later faced senators on the Budget Committee, including Sanders, an independent who caucuses with Democrats, who said some of her past comments amounted to "vicious attacks made against progressives."

In the days after the election, Tanden also deleted more than 1,000 tweets from her personal account, some of which were reviewed by CNN's KFile.

Tanden would have led a key economic post that oversees the production of the President's proposed budget for his agenda if she had been confirmed.

The White House had remained steadily in support of Tanden for the role. Biden had said he did not intend to pull Tanden's nomination and that he believed they would find the votes to get her confirmed.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York said Sunday he was working with Biden to gather the support needed to confirm Tanden.

After Manchin and Collins came out against Tanden's nomination, White House press secretary Jen Psaki released a statement in support of Tanden.

"Neera Tanden=accomplished policy expert, would be 1st Asian American woman to lead OMB, has lived experience having benefitted from a number of federal programs as a kid, looking ahead to the committee votes this week and continuing to work toward her confirmation," Psaki said in a tweet.

Vernon Jordan, the civil rights lawyer who built his career as a power broker in the world of politics and business has passed away at the age of 85.

Vernon "passed away peacefully last evening surrounded by loved ones," his daughter, Vickee Jordan, said in a statement sent to NPR. "We appreciate all of the outpouring of love and affection."

Vernon is a native of Atlanta. He attended DePauw University before earning his law degree at Howard University. Soon after graduating, he devoted himself to ending discrimination against Black Americans in the fight for equal rights. 

In 1992-93, Jordan chaired President Bill Clinton's transition team, and for decades he remained a friend and advisor to Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Jordan played an important role in desegregating education in the South, particularly at the college level. 

Born on August 15, 1935, Jordan grew up in the segregated South and graduated from DePauw University in Indiana in 1957, the only Black student in his class. 

He then studied law at Howard University and began his career fighting segregation, starting with a lawsuit against University of Georgia's integration policy in 1961 on the behalf of two Black students, Hamilton Holmes and Charlayne Hunter.

"An icon to the world and a lifelong friend to the NAACP, his contribution to moving our society towards justice is unparalleled," NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson said, noting that his organization had had honored Jordan for his lifetime achievement award.

The former president of the National Urban League rose to prominence as a civil rights activist with close connections in all corners of American politics, though he was closest with Democrats, including presidents from Lyndon Johnson to Barack Obama. He also worked with Republican Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush.

Vernon had a lifelong friendship with Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Jordan's friendship with Clinton found him entangled in then-independent counsel Kenneth Starr's investigation, which uncovered the affair Clinton had with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky while in office. Jordan had helped Lewinsky job hunt at the request of Clinton's personal secretary and had recommended an attorney who briefly represented Lewinsky. Jordan testified several times before the grand jury.

Jordan also had an illustrious career in the corporate world, serving on the board of directors for several major American corporations.

DePauw University on Tuesday mourned the passing of Jordan, and its president, Lori S. White, said in a statement that the university "has lost a dear friend and the world has lost a determined leader."

"He spoke loudly -- through words and deeds -- as a civil rights activist and quietly as a trusted counsel to presidents," White said. "DePauw is better for having had him as a beloved alumnus, and the country and the world are better for having him as a leader."

In a tweet Tuesday morning, Obama, said he and former first lady Michelle Obama "benefited from Vernon Jordan's wise counsel and warm friendship—and deeply admired his tireless fight for civil rights."

"We hope the memory of his extraordinary presence and the legacy of his work bring comfort to Ann, Vickee, and his family," Obama said.

Gov. Greg Abbott will announce on Tuesday that the state of Texas will end its mandate on wearing masks. It will be the latest controversy facing the embattled governor.

While we're all tired of wearing masks in public, it's necessary to prevent the variants of the coronavirus from spreading and also giving Americans who haven't gotten a vaccination a chance to stay alive.

The coronavirus has killed more people of color. About 40% of the deaths affect those who are African American, Hispanic and Native American.

Texas governor Greg Abbott wants the mask mandate lifted despite the pandemic.

The governor imposed the mandate eight months ago and limited COVID-19 restrictions. It was lightly enforced and the worst outbreaks occurred during the final months of former president Donald J. Trump's disgraceful term.

Texas will also do away with limits on the number of diners that businesses can serve indoors, said Abbott, who made the announcement in Lubbock.

Coi Leray: I Ain't Wit Cha, Ray!

It's gotten worse between entertainer Coi Leray and her father Raymond "Benzino" Scott. The entertainers are feuding with one another. The former rapper and reality television agitator was the former co-owner of The Source Magazine. 

In early 2000s, Scott engaged in a feud with Eminem. He claimed that Em's presence in hip-hop has hurt Black music and he has called the white rapper a racist. The washed up entertainer made a handful of songs going at Em and 50 Cent. 

In response, Eminem released two devastating disses against Scott. It also exposed the controversial friendship between Scott and The Source founder, Dave Mays, a white Harvard-educated business mogul.

Scott tried to time his feud around his album release. Upon its release, it tanked badly. The Source also faced criticism. The magazine was used as Scott's personal attack dog and propaganda tool. Scott and Mays were forced out of the magazine after it was revealed they were owing debt and were failing to get magazine subscriptions out to readers.

Scott would end being reduced to reality television. He was on a handful of reality television shows before he was fired out the cannon. He ended up impregnating reality television agitator Althea Heart.

They ended up having a son named, Zino Scott. The two have feuded over custody of their son. As explained in last year's post, Real Police Videos shows Scott degrading Althea, his son and a female officer responding to the scene. A Black officer had to actually calm him down and tell him to do his job as a father to raise his son..... (of course he meant his children).

Raymond "Benzino" Scott is a mentally ill man.

Also in Real Police Videos, we seen Scott berate his landlord at his apartment. He was being evicted from it because he failed to pay the rent. The police had to calm him down.

Even worse, he verbally and racially abused an Asian American officer when he was arrested for not showing up to court. He infamously called the officer derogatory names and slurs. 

He appeared on celebrity agitator Queenzflip doing podcasts about his life. All of this ended up becoming a big issue. 

Enter Coi Leray.

Many folks didn't know one of the hottest female MCs in the game is the daughter of the worst rapper in the world. 

Coi at first supported her father throughout his turmoils. But she realized that her dad is fucking crazy.

Coi has said her father burnt bridges and is trying siphon off her fame. She said that he's a terrible father. She believes that his drug abuse, his enormous ego and relentless feuds with the hip-hop industry has destroyed him.

Coi, Taj and her half-brother CoolBreeze Ray have distanced themselves from the father.

The song "No More Parties" has a subliminal diss aimed at Scott. Coi says that her father wasn't there and he was always trying to throw her into the limelight.

Now the two are engaged in a major fallout.

In the lyrics, she claims that Scott wasn’t a good father: "My daddy let me down, but I promise you, I won’t let up / I wanna say fuck that man but the shit won’t make me better." However, Scott has since denied her accusations, saying that Leray "was raised in a mansion and had everything she ever asked for. My other two sons are grown and would never say these things."

Coi also took to Twitter to rant about her relationship with Scott. "Just like a month ago he called me. We spoke. Told him I needed him. I needed my father in this cold world. He said I should of been a boy," she tweeted. "Reasons why I be thinking I need NIGGA to love me now because your bitch ass never did!!"

"And this why I never wanted anybody to know !! I’m embarrassed to be your daughter," she added. "I should of been a boy your right cause I would of knocked you the fuck out already."

In a few of these videos, Coi goes at her dad. Then Coi's gay best friend goes off on him. Scott is very upset in the videos.

Former president Donald J. Trump and Melania both got the coronavirus shot in early January probably around the time of the insurrection. It was revealed that Trump back in October when he caught the coronavirus was really, really, almost fatally sick.

Scrutiny exists within the orbit of the washed up actor turned washed up president. The one termer went to CPAC to address his grievances to a friendly crowd of white nationalists and far-right extremists.

Hell they even made a statue of gold in his honor.

Trump teases that he may run again in 2024. 

The loyal base of Trumpers will not turn their back on him. After all 17 Republicans who voted with their conscience and for their country are called "traitors" and Trump vows to support the challenger.

Trump did not reveal to the junk food media he and Melania received the COVID-19 vaccines. 

A slap in the face to the far-right conspiracies that he pandered during the height of the pandemic.

Trump was telling folks to use hydroxychloroquine as a treatment. He also thought folks could inject cleaning chemicals like disinfectant and bleach to stop the coronavirus. 

Trump clashed with former advisors Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Brix. He had a bunch of dumbass yes men running the Operation Warp Speed and COVID-19 Task Force.

For the record, Trump often lies about what happens so I don't want to waste too much time talking about his bullshit carnival.

After six years, New York rapper Bobby Shmurda is out of the iron college.

Ackquille J. Pollard spent six years in the iron college. He was criminally charged with conspiracy to murder, weapons possession and reckless endangerment. He plead guilty to the charges and was given at least seven years in the iron college. The state of New York released him early.

He is associated with the domestic terrorists known as the GS9 which the NYPD claims are involved in extortion, racketeering and gun trafficking. 

The arrest came shortly after Shmurda signed his deal with Epic Records. 

The GS9 label founded by Shmurda, Rowdy Rebel, Fetty Luciano and Corey Finesse gave fans the drill. 

Drill music is often defined as dark, grimey, violent, nihilistic lyrical content with ominous trap-influence beats. The NYPD saw the label and the acts as potential domestic terrorists (criminal gangs).

Shmurda released his single, "Hot NIGGA" and the song peaked at No 1. R&B/Hip-Hop charts from Billboard. It also led to "challenges."

His debut EP is called Shmurda She Wrote and it landed on the Billboard charts at No. 79 but ended up being a top selling in the R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap categories. 

Feels good to be free.

He went Gold with this album and was hoping to prepare for the debut album. The album was scrapped after he went to the iron college. He was expected to have the album produced by him and Jahlil Beats.

The state of New York used his own lyrics of him for a lengthy serving. The Supreme Court of New York dismissed his lyrics as evidence. They said that the NYPD has to have "exact proof" to show he's was involved in any of the complaints.

They managed to only get him on two felonies which he served concurrently. He was released on Friday.

He immediately headed back into the studio and record a couple of tracks. His GS9 family gave him a large "glow in the dark" necklace when got out. He also noted that he to complete community service and be restricted from certain aspects of the drill.

But on good terms, he is back making music and taking care of himself and family.

I am really getting annoyed with this. Anyway, Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall return to the big screen on a digital platform.

Amazon Studios/Paramount Pictures are preparing for the premiere of the Eddie Murphy comedy, Coming 2 America. It's the sequel to the 1980s hit comedy about an African king heading back to the United States in search of his long-lost son. The movie stars Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, Shari Headley, James Earl Jones, Wesley Snipes, John Amos, KiKi Layne and Teyana Taylor.

Paramount Pictures, New Republic Pictures, Eddie Murphy Productions, Misher Films and Amazon are the production companies responsible for the release.

The movie was initially scheduled for release in summer 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the movie will release the movie on Prime Video on March 5. The pandemic forced Paramount to sell distribution rights to the movie.

The plot of the movie picks up after Prince Akeem Joffer marries Lisa McDowell. Now as King Akeem, he is the ruler of Zamunda. He finds out that during while experiencing his "royal oats" he discovers he had a son he never knew about in America. 

I know about the surprise child....believe me.

So he travels with his loyal aide Semmi back to New York and meets his son Lavelle and his wise-cracking mother Mary. He is told by his dying father, retired king Jaffe to groom his son to become a crown prince. 

Coming 2 America was talked about for years. Murphy and Hall have discussed the idea of a sequel.

Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall return as King Akeem and Sammi in the sequel to the classic comedy, Coming to America.

The original movie filmed by John Landis helped build Murphy's brand. The movie pulled $354 million in ticket sales, movie rentals and built a cult following. 

Murphy and Hall had dual roles and got into zany characters during the first movie.

It's expected that Murphy and Hall will play local residents in the movie. Murphy played Randy Watson, a soul singer from the band Sexual Chocolate, Mr. Clarence, the local barber and Saul, the Jewish barbershop customer. Hall played Reverend Brown, Morris, the barber and will play a new ugly woman. Hall will be a witch doctor known as Baba.

The movie was filmed in Atlanta. It was filmed in the Tyler Perry Studios (formerly Fort McPherson). The rapper and media personality Rick Ross who has a role in the film said his mansion was used in portions of the film. The movie was directed by Craig Brewer. Kevin Misher, Kenya Burris, Berry W. Blaustein, David Sheffield, Hall and Murphy are the executive producers of the film.

Murphy also had a reunion with James Earl Jones. Jones who played the retired king Jaffe Joffer will reprise his role. The veteran actor couldn't make it to the filming. Murphy flew to his home to film some of the scenes of the movie.

The filming took two years and wrapped up around 2020. The pandemic pushed back the release date.

Paramount Pictures sold the distribution rights to Amazon and the film is slated for digital release on March 5 on Prime Video.

The major releases are now heading to digital platforms. Amazon, Netflix, Apple, CBS All Access, HBO Max, Showtime, Hulu, Disney+, Facebook and even YouTube are streaming movies and television shows online.

Again, the extreme partisans are racing to their corners on this #MeToo movement.

There are accusations of sexual harassment against the Democratic governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo. The junk food media is now covering the allegations against him.

We are reminded that former president Donald J. Trump, President Joe Biden, Tucker Carlson, Sean "Screwball" Hannity, Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas, Bill O'Reilly, former president Bill Clinton, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and countless others are facing allegations.

The Biden accuser has a shady past and they are using her as an expert. Alexandra Tara Reade McCabe Moulton weighs in this controversy against Cuomo.

So the allegations come from two women who accused the governor of inappropriate comments while in office. 

Cuomo, a third-term Democrat, also maintained that he never inappropriately touched or propositioned anyone, denying the allegation of a former aide that he had kissed her on the lips after a one-on-one briefing.

The governor's statement capped a whirlwind 24 hours that began with a new accusation on Saturday of sexual harassment and growing calls from prominent New York Democrats for an independent investigation into the allegations. His efforts to guide that process also unraveled after the state attorney general, Letitia James, rejected Cuomo's proposal that she and the New York's chief judge jointly select an independent attorney to conduct "a thorough and independent review" of the claims against him. Instead, James insisted that the process be free from any perception of interference by the governor or his allies. To do that, she said, her office requested an official referral that would provide the investigation -- which will be handled by an outside law firm -- subpoena power.

Second accuser came forward this week.

The claims against Cuomo that will be investigated include one that emerged Saturday evening in an article in The New York Times. Charlotte Bennett, a 25-year-old former executive assistant and health policy adviser to Cuomo, told the newspaper that during one of several uncomfortable encounters, Cuomo asked her questions about her sex life during a conversation in his State Capitol office and said he was open to relationships with women in their 20s.

A separate allegation was made by Lindsey Boylan, another former Cuomo aide, who wrote a detailed post on Medium last week about her own claims of sexual harassment against Cuomo, which his aides have said are untrue.

Boylan alleged in the Medium post that Cuomo invited her to "play strip poker" during a 2017 flight on his taxpayer-funded jet while another aide was seated beside her and a state trooper behind her. In 2018, Boylan said, Cuomo stunned her by kissing her on the lips after a one-on-one briefing on economic and infrastructure projects in his New York City office.

Cuomo denied Boylan's allegations in a December news conference when she first made them.

In a statement released by the governor's press secretary on Wednesday, four other people said they were on October flights with her and that "this conversation did not happen."

First accuser posted her allegations on social media platform Medium.

New York State Attorney General Letitia James has opened an investigation into the matter and will appoint an independent special counsel.

Quick question: Why aren't these accusers hiring lawyers? 

Second, why are they posting their accusations on social media instead of hiring a lawyer?

Again, the benefit of doubt is now being enforced with accusers and accused. I am not making a blanket statement of guilt or innocence anymore. Given that the junk food media is quick to run these stories and drive ratings and partisan rancor, the real victims are actually being sexually harassed. The real victims are being wrongly accused by an allegation. The real victims are often shamed to silence. The real victims regardless of the claim being proven false are still guilty as sin. 

So no I am going to take a cautious approach to all allegations of sexual abuse and harassment.
