Many Americans are homeless because of the hurricane. The Supreme Court made being homeless illegal now. The Supreme Court also rollback regulations on greenhouse gases and federal agencies enforcements.

A lot of Republicans are blaming the president and Democratic presidential nominee for the gridlock in getting aid to victims of this hurricane.

I am reminded that Republicans in the House wanted to shut down the government and wanted to impact the election.

Republican mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, Glenn Jacobs slams far right and their endless stupidity and guilibiness to conspiracy theories.

Jacobs is best known as retired WWE star Kane. He along with Knoxville mayor Indya Kincannon have come together to urge federal and state authorities to help East Tennessee.

Early Friday morning, Jacobs took to social media to dispel the rumors and asked people to help instead of posting misinformation.

“Two things,” Jacobs wrote. “1) To my knowledge, FEMA, TEMA, nor anyone else is confiscating supplies. Please quit spreading those rumors as they are counterproductive to response efforts. 2) If everyone could maybe please put aside the hate for a bit and pitch in to help, that would be great.”

The aftermath of Hurricane Helene has cost the lives of over 1,000 and it has an impact of damages totaling over $4 billion. Approximately 2.8 million Americans could be financially displaced.

Conspiracy theories are floating.

In the aftermath, the far right claimed that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris refuse to give aid because the states favor Trump.

Russia, Israel, MAGAland and Trump amplify artificial intelligence propaganda.

Then they claimed FEMA is confiscating supplies.

They claimed that the North Carolina State Police are arresting federal officials who are interfering in the search and rescue (i.e. recovery).

The latest claims is that the ILA strike ended because Trump got the union and employers back to the table. The longshoreman and dockers strike would have impacted the efforts to deliver goods and supplies to areas affected by Helene.

The far right claims that migrants are getting FEMA funds. They claim that FEMA is only handing out $750 to survivors. 

The falsehoods started quickly and came from the top. Former president Donald J. Trump, freshly landed in Georgia on Monday to see the storm’s devastation, claimed that the state’s governor, Brian Kemp, had not been able to reach President Joe Biden to talk about disaster aid. Kemp had already said earlier in the day that he’d spoken to the president, who offered any help the state needed and said to call him directly.

Elon Musk, the owner of X and key Trump ally, claimed Fema was blocking flights trying to aid the area, calling it “belligerent government incompetence”. The transportation secretary, Pete Buttigieg, responded: “No one is shutting down the airspace and FAA doesn’t block legitimate rescue and recovery flights. If you’re encountering a problem give me a call.”
