Def Jam's new A&R and media visionary is now the owner of Death Row Records. On top of that, he still owns Doggystyle Records. The toy company Hasbro had bout eOne Entertainment which was home to Koch Records.
Death Row's catalog was part of that catalog. When the label eOne Music was sold to the Blackstone Music Group, the catalog was stalled. Big Snoop Dogg managed to invest in buying Death Row Records and he now acquired the rights for its trademark and he is working to buy back the catalog.
The catalog includes the albums, outtakes and unreleased music from Big Snoop, Dr. Dre, Tha Dogg Pound, Tupac Shakur and others.
Snoop performed at Super Bowl LVI.
He said he will release his album before the Super Bowl.
The album titled BODR (abbreviated as Bacc on Death Row). It was released through Death Row Records and Create Music Group. The album is executive produced by Snoop, Battlecat and DJ Green Lantern.
The album has production from Battlecat, Bink!, DJ Green Lantern, Don Cannon, Hi-Tek, Hit-Boy, Hollis, Nottz, Soopafly and Trevor Lawrence, Jr.
On the album there are features from Nefertitti Avani, Nas, Emo Trap, T.I., Sleepy Brown, Nate Dogg, The Game, DaBaby, HeyDeon, Uncle Murda, Jane Handcock, Lil Duval and October London.
