NBC News Fired Andy Lack Out The Cannon!

Andy Lack was finally ousted from NBC News.
The chairman of NBC News and MSNBC was fired out the cannon. It was about freaking time.

Andy Lack was forced out of the company after allegations of sexual abuse and his deliberate covering up of Tom Brokaw and Matt Lauer's allegations. Ronan Farrow who worked at MSNBC for a brief time left the network and started writing for Vanity Fair. He has played an instrumental role in the takedown of Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby and Matt Lauer. Lack took part in covering up Lauer's tracks when it came to allegations of sexual abuse.

The New York state attorney general's office has contacted multiple women who have raised concerns about sexual harassment at NBC News, according to two people familiar with the matter, as part of an initial inquiry into the concerns.

The inquiry, which is being conducted by the office's Civil Division, is in a fact-finding stage after the women voiced their concerns publicly, one of the people said. It is not a formal investigation, and there is no indication that it will become one.

At least two of the women were interviewed in January during meetings that were hours long, although the inquiry began earlier than that, a second person said, adding that the inquiry was looking at sexual harassment, gender discrimination and retaliation.
Chris Hayes faces a backlash for covering the Tara Reade allegations.
A spokesperson for the attorney general's office declined to comment. The inquiry was first reported by DailyMail.com.

On Monday, NBCUniversal announced that Lack will step down at the end of the month as part of a larger corporate reorganization.

Lack was responsible for the Today show fiasco between Lauer and Ann Curry. Ann Curry had a rough three years as the co-anchor of Today. She was forced off the network after allegations of a feud brewing between her and Lauer.

Lack was responsible for the prominent suspension and demotion of Brian Williams, the former NBC Nightly News host. He was suspended for misrepresentation of his work. He was placed in the freezer for six months and then permanently placed on MSNBC as their late night news host. He is now the host of The 11th Hour and recently been promoted to being breaking news anchor.

Lack was also responsible for hiring that disastrous Megyn Kelly to the roster. After Kelly got into a feud with Fox News and its personalities, she abruptly left the network. She was wooed by Lack to take over the third hour of Today. That infuriated Al Roker and Tamron Hall. They believed that Kelly's past with Fox and her downplaying the seriousness of unarmed Black men being shot by law enforcement were going to be problematic.

They were right. Kelly only lasted on the network for two years before her "blackface" comments finally got her fired out the cannon. She took the $69 million buyout and left the spotlight. She is no longer able to find a suitable network given her history as a toxic figure.

Lack also was responsible for the dismissal of Melissa Harris-Perry, the shakeup of Joy Reid, Al Sharpton and Ali Velshi. He demoted Al Sharpton to Sundays only at 8am before he moved his show PoliticsNation to weeknights at 5pm He wanted to have them fired out the cannon.

He also felt that Lawrence O'Donnell and Chris Hayes were far-left and didn't appeal to the viewers.

He was planning on hiring Hugh Hewitt and former lawmaker Charlie Dent to replace them.
Ronan Farrow brought Harvey Weinstein and Matt Lauer's sexual abuse allegations to light.
Lack also considered having Greta Van Susteren lead off the 6pm spot. That failed. They replaced her with Ari Melber. Van Susteren was fired out the cannon. She went on to host programs on Gray Television affiliates.

Lack got Ed Schultz off the air. Schultz who held the 5pm spot before being moved to the 6pm spot was ousted from the network after 11 years. He was replaced by Chuck Todd who went on to host MTP: Daily. Schultz went to RT America and voted for Donald J. Trump in the end before his passing.

Krystal Ball, Abby Huntsman, Ari Melber and Toure hosted The Cycle at 3pm. They were replaced with MSNBC live with Ali Velshi and Stephanie Ruhle.  Joy Reid hosted a program at 4pm briefly before she was replaced with Ronan Farrow and now Nicolle Wallace.

Wallace now hosts Deadline: White House and temporarily fills the 3pm hour with Brian Williams.

Lack also fired Chris Matthews. After allegations of sexual harassment came out from a pro-Bernie Sanders commentator and his remarks about Sanders brought controversy, the network "retired" him.

Now Steve Kornacki, formerly the weekend host and election analysis commentator has temporarily hosting the 7pm spot.

Rachel Maddow is the only host who hasn't been shifted around for now. She is doing really well going against her fellow polarizing agitators like Chris Cuomo and Sean "Softball" Hannity.

MSNBC is facing a backlash from Joe Biden's supporters. The allegations of Tara Reade were brought into the limelight by Ari Melber and Chris Hayes. They had been pushing for lawmakers to react to the allegations. Hayes went as far to cover the allegations without bringing her inconsistencies

Now Hayes is facing a pressure campaign to apologize or step down.
