Demands For Voting Rights Reach The U.S. Territories!

The city of Hagatna. The city is the capital of the U.S. territory of Guam. The residents are U.S. citizens but are banned from voting in presidential elections. HBO's John Oliver pointed out that Guam has a high turnout of voters in their choosing of the nominee for the president. Unfortunately, they can't vote for the nominee. Five territories in the United States have longed for the right to be recognized but Congress is once again inept in doing so.

Republican governors and lawmakers are trying to pass stricter voting laws to keep Blacks and the poor away from the ballot box. Young voters aren't inspired to vote in elections. The candidates running aren't inspiring.

Donald Trump sucks most of the air out of the room. Republicans are feuding with one another.

Conservatives and concern trolls are trying to stop Hillary Clinton's momentum.

Bernie Sanders is getting name recognition and criticism.

The Congress is still unproductive. They can't even pass a bipartisan infrastructure bill. On July 31, the money dries up. Construction workers will lose their jobs and roads will not be completed. Gridlock will continue. Americans will be totally pissed off.

The 2016 U.S. Elections are coming. Many Americans will have a chance to vote. They will pick a successor to President Barack Obama. They will have an opportunity to pick a governor, their representatives and senators.

In the U.S. territories, the residents only elect a governor and a non-voting delegate for the U.S. House of Representatives. They vote in their local elections but no presidential elections.

It's a shame that even in the United States, we still have a long way to go before everyone is counted as equal.

There are five island territories under jurisdiction of the United States. They regard these as territories of the United States.

United States territories are any extent of region under the sovereign jurisdiction of the federal government of the United States.

Guam (pop. 138,000 capital Hagatna)
Northern Mariana Islands (pop. 54,000 capital Saipan Island)
Puerto Rico (pop. 4.5 million capital San Juan)

About few months back John Oliver of Last Week Tonight on HBO explained why the need for voting rights doesn't often apply to African-Americans, the poor and 18-24 year old groups.

In these U.S. territories they are banned from voting in presidential elections.

Matter of fact, those born in American Samoa aren't American citizens. They are U.S. nationals. They must apply for a passport with a special documentation saying they are nationals. American Samoa has 55,000 residents living there.

American Samoa is located in the South Pacific Ocean. The territory has one of the largest recruitment of military enlistment. Those who fought for America have no legal right to call themselves U.S. Citizens. Some residents have considered petitioning for independence.

Congresswoman Amata Coleman Radewagen (R-AS) is a non-voting delegate for the House of Representatives. She is the first woman to serve for the U.S. territory of American Samoa. She is the first Republican to be elected. She and many of her constituents are considered U.S. nationals. They are not granted U.S. citizenship.

Puerto Rico and the Northern Mariana Islands are commonwealths. They are insular areas where the government advocates free association status. Given that these territories and residents are granted as U.S. Citizens, these territories are semi-independent and often times represented as a country and not a territory.

Puerto Rico, a semi-autonomous territory (regarded as a commonwealth) has a fiscal crisis and the U.S. Congress refuses to give aid to the island. Puerto Rico has over 4.5 million residents living there.

The United States offers assistance to the territories whenever its necessary. But expect it to be another partisan battle between the inept lawmakers who believe the key to balancing a budget is to cut the safety net.

The territories have a non-voting delegate who is assigned on a committee but are barred from general voting. These Representatives are not pleased that Congress failed them as well.

Concern Trolls React To Sandra Bland's Death!

The trolls are out!

First things first these were the victims of tragedies.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, Kate Steinle, Jillian Johnson, Mayci Breaux, Rexdale Henry, Kindra Chapman, Samuel Debose, Carson Holmquist, Thomas Sullivan, Squire "Skip" Wells, David Wyatt, Randall Smith and Dontae Martin.

Here we go again. World News Today have covered an influx of violence in the United States.

And yet, our concern trolls make the case to assume guilt before innocence.

A concern troll is a person who participates in a debate posing as an actual or potential ally who simply has some concerns they need answered before they will ally themselves with a cause. In reality they are a critic.

In the case of the Louisiana terrorist who lit up a movie theater, the concern trolls say now it's not the time to act on gun control. The terrorist has mental issues. The terrorist didn't hit the radars of the Homeland Security.

In the case of Sandra Bland who was arrested she questioned the officer orders.

This is what we're dealing with in America.

The hashtag #BlackLivesMatter meant something. It's the reaction towards the junk food media portrayal of Black people. The Black Lives Matter movement also speaks out and organizes against police brutality against African-Americans in the United States.

Republican judge from Waller County post on social media that the victim caused her own arrest and later death.

It was met with White resentment and the counter troll responses #GoHomeDeRay #AllLivesMatter, #BlueLivesMatter, etc.

The agitators went into their usual blame the victim nonsense.

First things first, a Waller County judge went to social media to say that Bland had large amounts of THC in her system. They are saying that she was under the influence of marijuana. Trey Duhon, a Republican (no surprise) judge was the one who put that out there. People fired back asking why the fuck you got to bring up this shit. He said "well it may have" contributed to her arrest and later her death. Duhon eventually deleted the posting and clammed up.

The network that inspires right wing terrorism is now talking about it. Obviously, we know how they feel about this situation. Sandra Bland was guilty and Obama should not speak on it.

Megyn The Outrage Princess hosted the one Black commentator who happens to be a lawman himself. The controversial Milwaukee County sheriff David Clarke is back once again bitching about how Black America should respect the law and she did it to herself.

Ann Coulter called her a druggie scofflaw.

Bill Cunningham said that Sandra caused her own death by not listening to the order and getting mouthy with the law.

This just a portion of the racist reactions to the death of Sandra Bland.

Is it fair to say that for every Black person to die in police custody, the conservatives will find some reason to justify the law's side?

Mitch McConnell To Ted Cruz: F**k With Me And I'll F**k You Up!

Republican infighting is getting worse.

Even though Majority Leader Mitch The Turtle (R-KY) wants the Obamacare (Affordable Care Act) repealed, he's getting even tired of fighting this battle. He is also getting tired of political novices telling him what he needs to do.

President Barack Obama is getting fed up with the inept Congress. His final years in office will be met with great opposition. The president hopes that Americans will see Republicans for what they are. A bunch of ignorant idiots.

The Republicans are infighting and the junk food media finally acknowledging that this rift between the establishment and insurgency has gotten worse.

Things can't get done with this Congress. Many lawmakers believe that the political environment is extremely toxic. Some blame the insurgency for the toxic nature.

The lawmakers spent Sunday trying to pass a transportation bill and a few slip ins.

The slip ins were the repeal of Affordable Care Act for the 60th time. It failed. The defund Planned Parenthood proposal failed. The demand to make Iran recognize Israel or face sanctions failed. The advocating of funds for the Export-Import Bank for the president's trade deal with Asian nations is likely to make it through.

One senator has had enough of it. He blasted the Majority Leader on Friday. It's winning praise from the insurgency.

The establishment is none too happy with it.

Word on the street is that Republican leaders are going to put him in his place. Mitch is going to make them suffer if they can't fall in place.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is a part of the Stallmigos. He and six other members of the Republican led Senate have openly bucked the party for "giving in" to Obama.

He believes that the Republicans caving in to the Ex-Im Bank proposal. Cruz believes that the Republicans allow crony capitalism to occur.

Cruz went on this tirade.

"[I've taken the Republican leader] at his word. Like St. Peter, he repeated it three times. The only thing I told the proponents of the Export-Import Bank is like any other senator in this body, they could offer any amendment they liked on any amendable vehicle, but I gave them nothing."

To see the so-called Republican leader whip against allowing a vote to defund Planned Parenthood...makes clear that the McConnell-Reid leadership is united in the favor of big government.

The majority leader and minority leader, arm-in-arm again, should not team up against the American taxpayers."

This epic rant was overshadowed by the poll numbers. Cruz is somewhere in the bottom tier.

Stallmigos Rand Paul (R-KY), Marco Rubio (R-FL) and head honcho Cruz are not getting much attention now that Donald Trump sucked the crazy from them. These three clowns are a part of a big tent of contenders. So far there's 16 candidates running.

The junk food media is so focused on Trump, the remaining clowns are jealous and they're doing everything in their power to get the cameras back on them.

Barack Obama: It Feels Like I'm Home...

Why not? They never gonna believe anything he tells them.

The president is now in Ethiopia on his tour of Eastern Africa.

During his trip to Africa, he visited the Republic of Kenya. That's the home of Barack Obama, Sr. the reclusive father of the President Barack Obama.

The president didn't get many opportunities to see his father, but he loved him and his large family.

See the birther crowd (ah hem, Donald Trump) have often accused the president of being born in Kenya instead of Hawaii.

The racist right often have bait the stick with this nonsense of the president's birthplace. Some believe the birthers have racial extremism in their views.

The birth certificate issue is still an ongoing thing. Although, the birther crowd is not as active as it was during the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections, Republicans have often thrown the notion that Barack Obama isn't one of us.

Republicans are seething once again about the president taking vacations on the taxpayer dime.

Of course, since he doesn't give two fucks about their complaints, he decided to poke a little fun at their ongoing obsessions.

The live birth certificate. To this day, some kookspiracy theorists believe that President Barack Obama forged this.

He joked about the birth certificate.

"I suspect that some of my critics back home are suggesting that I'm back here to look for my birth certificate. That is not the case."

The president trip to Kenya marks a first. No president ever visited the East African nation. Barack Obama has made it possible. He visit his step-grandmother Sarah Obama, his sister Auma and their families.

The trip was heavily detailed. Due to the threats made by al-Qaeda's sub group al-Shabaab and Boko Haram, the U.S. Secret Service shuts it down hard. The president entourage was bigger than normal.

Obama's visit was to encourage investment in America. the fight against terrorism, and LGBT rights.

He also aimed at President Uhuru Kenyatta for allegations of corruption and his stance on gay rights.

The president heads to Ethiopia to met President Mulatu Teshome.

The president will be heading back to the United States on Tuesday night.

BREAKING: Bobbi Kristina Brown Passed Away!

Krissy, may you rest in peace.

The 22-year old celebrity agitator and daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown has passed away in hospice says the family.

Bobbi Kristina is the only daughter of Whitney Houston during her marriage to Bobby Brown was the sole heir of Houston's estate. Brown has six other children besides Bobbi Kristina.

In January, Georgia police found her in her suburban Atlanta home unconscious in her bathroom.

Her live-in boyfriend Nick Gordon and his friend called 911 to report that she was not breathing.

She was rushed to the hospital where they've tried to revive her. They ran out of options.

The family acknowledged that she is brain dead and the hope of a recovery was dimmed.

Now that the news broke about her passing, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is launching a criminal probe into how she passed away.

Gordon denies any involvement in her death. But the fingers are pointing at him.

In February 2012, Whitney Elizabeth Houston was found unresponsive in hotel bathroom, hours after performing at a nearby event. She was supposed to be a headliner for the Grammy's.

Her death shocked the nation. We all knew that she had struggled for years with bipolar disorder, cocaine addiction and depression. She would often deny it but the actions spoke for itself.

Now I feared that Krissy got into the habits. Losing her mother sent her into a downward spiral.

I mean I could fathom losing my mother in such a fashion. It probably sent her over the edge.

A Bern In Every County!

Progressives love the Bern.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is gaining some momentum as a serious contender. The Democrats are fearing that the senator's populist stances could hurt them in swing districts where its competitive.

Sanders who is a democratic socialist was elected as a senator in 2006. He is currently serving as the senator from the state of Vermont.

He's very vocal about helping the middle class. And it's amazing!

He's a very proud progressive activist. Sanders has emerged as a leading progressive voice on issues like income inequality, climate change, and campaign finance reform. He rose to national prominence on the heels of his 2010 filibuster of the proposed extension of the Bush-era tax rates for the wealthy. Sanders is also outspoken on civil liberties issues, and has been particularly critical of mass surveillance policies such as the Patriot Act

But somehow the establishment want perennial candidates like Hillary Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden running. They think that Sanders is the left's version of Donald Trump.

Conservative Democrats fear that the Bern surge may hurt their chances at uprooting Republicans.

They are the most vulnerable Republicans for now. On the Democratic side, Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) and the open seat in Nevada.

The most competitive seats Ohio, Indiana, New Hampshire, Florida, and Pennsylvania.

Some states that have Democratic governors are likely to flip to Republican. West Virginia and Kentucky are two to come to mind. The failed Democratic candidates who ran away from President Barack Obama felt the burn when progressives sat it out.

Why would they vote for a Democrat who votes like a Republican?

The progressives won. Obamacare is legal. Marriage is equal. We're closing the door on feuds with Cuba and Iran. The Confederate flag is being wiped away from the South. Marijuana is about to be legalized. Police reform is happening in states. The demand for equal pay and time off is popular. Immigration reform is needed. Gun control is needed.

Minorities, the poor, over 18 before 35 aged voters, and middle class got to keep fighting for the voting rights.

If the Democrats keep electing candidates who think like the Republicans, they'll lose.

That's why Republicans have such a hard time with nominating candidates like Jeb Bush, Scott Walker and John Kaisch. They are too cozy with the Democrats. Walker is trying to break from that.

Donald Trump is tapping into the anger that Republicans have with the changing demographics.

Bernie Sanders is doing the same. Democrats want the party to embrace the policies of Obama. They don't want candidates who roll back progress.

Summer Fire!

The memorable scene of Boyz In The Hood. A group of gang bangers fired off a double barrel at Rickey.

In cities with populations over 100,000, there's often a rise in the gun violence. I mean over 2,300 shootings happened in a day! Some of these shootings were deadly.

The law often worries about March through September. This is when the rise in gun violence occurs.

My hometown of Dayton, Ohio experienced a rise in gun violence. And it's troubling. Just in the past three weeks, eight people have lost their lives to gun violence. Six lost their lives to violence by a  knife or dangerous instrument. 

Dayton with a population of 137,000 is the sixth largest city in the state of Ohio. It's vicinity includes Xenia, Troy, Eaton and Miamisburg. The metro area is 578,000 residents. 

Dayton, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Toledo have seen a huge spike in gun violence. 

These names don't get national recognition.  

I can't be a concern troll. There's just too many events in America where someone lost their life to gun violence. Those often affected by gun violence are youth and "at risk" populations.

I often hate when those annoying conservatives act like they care about gun violence in America. 

How often do you read in the comment section describing an event in an area they've never visited?

Conservatives often bring up Democrats, Chicago, Baltimore, New York and Cleveland as examples to the rise of gun violence. 

This ridiculous concern trolling is an example of why most Blacks often look at conservatives as racist. Black America is aware of gun violence. 

Many in the Black community have slight distrust towards law enforcement. Given the recent officer involved incidents in which unarmed Black suspects die in police custody, it's often harder to get witnesses who may have seen a criminal act.

I hate to say this, but Republicans deserve most of the blame for the rise in gun violence. Their solution for gun violence is more guns. In the wake of mass shootings, the junk food media often turns to Congress and President Barack Obama to do something about it. The president has called for reasonable gun control measures. It's often met with opposition from Republicans and some Democrats. They fear the NRA and their money machine. 

They don't seem to understand that gun trafficking doesn't often happen at gun shows. You can actually purchase firearms through social media.

Black leaders are often pressuring for more gun control measures.

President Barack Obama, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, NAACP and every other Black leader have expressed concern about the rise in gun violence in urban areas. It often is ignored by the concern trolls.

Random musings to what goes on in my community.

With the recent mass shooting in Louisiana, I want to make it clear that is a systematic issue. Gun crime is more dangerous than al Qaeda and the Islamic State.
