They Snapped: Mass Shooting In Columbus, Ohio!

Mass shooting in Ohio. Workplace shooting.

The latest crisis for President Donald J. Trump. Workplace shooting in Ohio.

Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Gov. Mike DeWine, Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH), Sen. Jon Husted (R-OH) and the U.S. House members of Ohio were notified.

A mass shooting in Columbus, Ohio. It happened in the suburb of New Albany.

A man carried out a workplace shooting at a warehouse distribution center killing one and injuring five. The suspect is still on the loose.

The facility KDC/One is a distributor of health, beauty and medical supplies.

The suspect is a Black man.

Cue the conservative outrage.

Blame DEI.

Claim the suspect had no father or was a part of a criminal gang.

Police are seeking an employee of a warehouse in a Columbus, Ohio suburb who they say shot one co-worker to death and wounded five others late Tuesday night.

New Albany, Ohio said in a statement early Wednesday that authorities are looking for Bruce Reginald Foster III.

Police Chief Greg Jones told reporters in a news conference Wednesday morning that authorities didn't know of a motive for the shooting and there were no reports of a confrontation or dispute that would have led to it. He said Foster had been at work "for some time" before the gunfire, adding that police were checking addresses associated with Foster.

Earlier, Jones told reporters the shooting may have been "targeted" and noted there was no apparent ongoing threat to anyone in the vicinity.

The wounded were taken to hospitals but there was no word on their conditions, Jones said.

A firearm was found in the warehouse, he pointed out.

The city said police responded at about 10:30 p.m. to the active shooter situation at KDC/One, which is a cosmetics and toiletries company.

Jones said some people were "self evacuating" when officers arrived and the rest in the "large building" were evacuated to another building nearby, roughly 150 in all. He told CBS News earlier that a drone was used to help clear them out.

Jones noted that some were being interviewed and there was a language barrier with several. Many didn't know what had happened until they were evacuated, Jones said.

"This has been a very tragic situation. Our thoughts go out to the victims, their families and everybody that works at this facility" Jones said. "This is something that we hoped would never happen in our community, but we prepare for it, and this is where we are now."

New Albany is 15 miles northeast of Columbus.

Black shooter. The white conservatives are breathing a sigh of relief. They can continue festering their hate on people of color, immigrants and Muslims.

A bullet doesn't care about color. We all bleed red and so many lives are lost to gun violence. Republicans offer no solutions other than "thoughts and prayers" with a touch of "lock em up."

An active shooter doesn't care about the politics, race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, your finances, your family, your plans that day, your successes, your failures, and most importantly, your life.

You're not safe in the school, the concert, the hospital, the church, the casino, the bus station, the subway, the light rail train, the buses, the malls, the local big box store, the political rally, the protest rally, the women's center for reproductive surgeries, the mosque, the synagogue, the state buildings, the workplace, the gas station, the family picnic, the food truck rally, the funerals, the birthday parties, the graduations, the wedding, the televised events, the sporting events and many more events that have some terrorist with a firearm. Domestic violence, suicide, racism, culture war inspired, politically motivated and international operative inspired are types of gun violence.

Gun violence is the number one threat in the United States.

I dismiss this ridiculous notion that criminals are the problem, not the guns. Firearms are often obtained through legal purchases.

Again, having more security, teachers being armed and offering safe rooms are not solving the problem. The problem is legislators not willing to stop gun violence.

According to the far rightWhite shooters are mentally ill. Black shooters are unrepentant thugs and criminals. Gay shooters are active groomers. Muslim shooters are terrorists. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants. According to the far right, almost all white [or non-white] mass shooters are registered Democrats [or some progressive activist] because they have liked or done one thing common to the left. Of course, they often share or post disinformation by using the "Sam Hyde" meme or make bogus social media platforms with the shooter's image as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white or associated with conservative causes. The far right says a white person should "protect" themselves from thugs, terrorists or protesters. They believe the use of firearms are "justified" if they are protesting or even instigating a conflict. The far right believes if a shooter is a police officer, an active military member, a veteran or a citizen who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens in urban communities, the far right automatically assumes the gunmen are Black.

The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican legislators who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms.

The far right and Republicans exploit gun violence in the Black community for culture wars and racism.

The call number to the White House and US Capitol is now going to be used. This is the official White House numbers 202-456-1111 and 202-456-1414. This is the Congress official phone number, 202-224-3121. Please be respectful to operators, staff members and elected leaders. Your calls are monitored by the US Secret Service and US Capitol Police.

Let them know that "thoughts and prayers," "hearts going to" and "good guys with guns" are no longer acceptable and you want legislation to curb gun violence. Let them know that we are tired of police officers using immunity when committing death of suspects in custody. Let them know that you are tired of private equity firms getting away with destroying small businesses and long established companies. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel. You are tired of hearing about "Israel having a right to..." and the bogus claims of being anti-Semitic or in support of terrorism.

We have bigger issues at home and our tax dollars should solve the housing crisis, lowering food prices, fixing roads, bridges, helping reinvest in struggling urban and rural communities. We have hospitals closing, big box retailers leaving communities and television programs dying. There are bigger issues in the country than Israel. You want an immediate ceasefire and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and legislators avoid influence from lobbyists.

Ceasefire Over!

Two evil men.

Israel has a firm grip on the U.S.

The U.S. Justice Department is about to establish a task force to combat antisemitism. Some far right Jewish extremist group called Betar U.S. has collaborated with the DOJ in doxxing protesters. They are handing out mock pagers to intimidate protesters. The pagers is a shameless aggression.

Israel conducted a terrorist attack on Lebanon using pagers, radios and cell phones.

The International Criminal Court has a warrant against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel. The United States refuses to acknowledge the seriousness of this. The U.S. is trying to push sanctions on prosecutors and judges.

World leaders are getting tired of the U.S. and the arrogance. President Donald J. Trump and former president Joe Biden have made the United States a complete joke.

We have no freedoms here. Republicans are stripping away freedoms. Democrats are stripping away freedoms.

The Republicans and Democrats are both sucking the same off of Israel.

Israel must fall and fall it shall.

Today, Netanyahu came to the U.S. to make another pitch to lawmakers and Trump. He needs more weapons and the need to push Hamas out.

In reality, the Israeli regime is about to force Palestinians out as well as seize Lebanese and Syrian territory. It will certainly violate the rules of international law. It will force Russia, China and Iran to respond.

It will certainly start World War III.

Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Qatar and Oman are warning Israel and the U.S. that any expelling of Palestinians will result in expelling of American military bases. They will also push for boycotts on American products. They will stop oil production for the U.S. and Israel. OPEC can force American oil trade to end.

Hamas might as well continue fighting the criminal Zionist entities.

The Zionists already violated the ceasefire and it appears that tensions are bubbling.

Trump repealed the Biden executive order to restrict the Zionist entity cluster bombs which carry a 2000 lb payload. Those can destroy up to 4 miles and kill thousands.

Israel is thrilled that Trump is back in office. They got the perfect stooge.

Trump claims that Gaza and the West Bank should belong to Israel. He wants the people be forced to leave for countries that are willing to take them. Of course, he and Republicans do not want them in the United States.

Trump saying it was time to “clean out” the territory in comments that are likely to outrage Palestinians and Arabs across the region.

Trump on Tuesday suggested that displaced Palestinians in Gaza be permanently resettled outside the war-torn territory and proposed the U.S. take “ownership” in redeveloping the area into “the Riviera of the Middle East.”

Trump’s brazen proposal appears certain to roil the next stage of talks meant to extend the tenuous ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and secure the release of the remaining hostages held in Gaza.

The provocative comments came as talks are ramping up this week with the promise of surging humanitarian aid and reconstruction supplies to help the people of Gaza recover after more than 15 months of devastating conflict. Now Trump wants to push roughly 1.8 million people to leave the land they have called home and claim it for the U.S., perhaps with American troops.

“The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it too,” Trump said at an evening news conference with Netanyahu by his side. The president who made his name as a New York real estate developer added: “We’ll make sure that it’s done world-class. It’ll be wonderful for the people — Palestinians, Palestinians mostly, we’re talking about.”

Trump outlined his thinking as he held talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, where the two leaders also discussed the fragile ceasefire and hostage deal in the Israeli-Hamas conflict and shared concerns about Iran.

Trump said the U.S. would redevelop the territory after Palestinians are resettled elsewhere and turn the territory into a place where the “world’s people”— including Palestinians — would live. He offered no detail about what authority the U.S. would use to take the land and develop it.

Resistance is the only way to win. If Hamas gives in, they lose. Israel will not survive much longer. The U.S. will fall along with Israel.

Allies reject the idea

Egypt, Jordan and other U.S. allies in the Mideast have cautioned Trump that relocating Palestinians from Gaza would threaten Mideast stability, risk expanding the conflict and undermine a decades-long push by the U.S. and allies for a two-state solution.

Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry issued a sharply worded reaction to Trump, noting their long call for an independent Palestinian state was a “firm, steadfast and unwavering position.” Saudi Arabia has been in negotiations with the U.S. over a deal to diplomatically recognize Israel in exchange for a security pact and other terms.

“The duty of the international community today is to work to alleviate the severe human suffering endured by the Palestinian people, who will remain committed to their land and will not budge from it,” the Saudi statement said.

Still, Trump insists the Palestinians “have no alternative” but to leave the “big pile of rubble” that is Gaza. He spoke out as his top aides stressed that a three-to-five-year timeline for reconstruction of the war-torn territory, as laid out in a temporary truce agreement, is not viable.

Last week, both Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi and Jordanian King Abdullah II dismissed Trump’s calls to resettle Gazans.

But Trump said he believes Egypt and Jordan — as well as other countries, which he did not name — will ultimately agree to take in Palestinians.

“You look over the decades, it’s all death in Gaza,” Trump said. “This has been happening for years. It’s all death. If we can get a beautiful area to resettle people, permanently, in nice homes where they can be happy and not be shot and not be killed and not be knifed to death like what’s happening in Gaza.”

Trump also said he isn’t ruling out deploying U.S. troops to support reconstruction of Gaza. He envisions “long-term” U.S. ownership of a redevelopment of the territory.

The president’s proposal was greeted with alarm by Democrats and a measure of skepticism by his Republican allies.

“He’s completely lost it,” said Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn. “He wants a U.S. invasion of Gaza, which would cost thousands of American lives and set the Middle East on fire for 20 years? It’s sick.”

“We’ll see what our Arab friends say about that,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican and a Trump ally. “And I think most South Carolinians are probably not excited about sending Americans to take over Gaza. I think that might be problematic, but I’ll keep an open mind.”

Palestinians must resist the Israeli apartheid.

A fragile ceasefire

The White House’s focus on the future of Gaza comes as the nascent truce between Israel and Hamas hangs in the balance.

Netanyahu is facing competing pressure from his right-wing coalition to end a temporary truce against Hamas militants in Gaza and from war-weary Israelis who want the remaining hostages home and for the 15-month conflict to end.

Trump may be betting he can persuade Egypt and Jordan to come around to accept displaced Palestinians because of the significant aid that the U.S. provides Cairo and Amman. Hard-line right-wing members of Netanyahu’s government have embraced the call to move displaced Palestinians out of Gaza.

“To me, it is unfair to explain to Palestinians that they might be back in five years,” Trump’s Mideast envoy, Steve Witkoff, said. “That’s just preposterous.”

Trump also signaled that he may be reconsidering an independent Palestinian state as part of a broader two-state solution to the decades-long Israel-Palestinian conflict.

“Well, a lot of plans change with time,” he told reporters when asked if he was still committed to a plan like the one he laid out in 2020 that called for a Palestinian state. “A lot of death has occurred since I left and now came back.”

Netanyahu’s arrival in Washington for the first foreign leader visit of Trump’s second term coincides with the prime minister’s popular support sagging.

The prime minister is in the middle of weekslong testimony in an ongoing corruption trial that centers on allegations he exchanged favors with media moguls and wealthy associates. He has decried the accusations and said he is the victim of a “witch hunt.”

Being seen with Trump, who is popular in Israel, could help distract the public from the trial and boost Netanyahu’s standing.

“We have the right leader of Israel who’s done a great job,” Trump said of Netanyahu.

Netanyahu praised Trump’s leadership in getting the hostage and ceasefire deal. The prime minister also spoke glowingly of Trump thinking outside the box.

“You say things others refuse to say. And after the jaws drop, people scratch their heads and they say, ‘You know he’s right.’”

Hamas in a statement decried Trump’s comments.

“We reject Trump’s statements in which he said that the residents of the Gaza Strip have no choice but to leave, and we consider them a recipe for creating chaos and tension in the region,” the group said.

Netanyahu met with White House national security adviser Mike Waltz and Witkoff on Monday to begin the daunting work of brokering the next phase of a ceasefire agreement.
Fuck Israel everyday.

The Israeli leader said he would send a delegation to Qatar to continue indirect talks with Hamas that are being mediated by the Gulf Arab country, the first confirmation that those negotiations would continue. Netanyahu also said he would convene his security Cabinet to discuss Israel’s demands for the next phase of the ceasefire when he returns to Israel at the end of the week.

Witkoff, meanwhile, said he plans to meet with Qatar’s prime minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, in Florida on Thursday to discuss the next phase in the ceasefire. Qatar and Egypt have served as key intermediaries with Hamas throughout the conflict.

Netanyahu is under intense pressure from hard-right members of his governing coalition to abandon the ceasefire and resume fighting in Gaza to eliminate Hamas. Bezalel Smotrich, one of Netanyahu’s key partners, vows to topple the government if the war isn’t relaunched, a step that could lead to early elections.

Hamas, which has reasserted control over Gaza since the ceasefire began last month, has said it will not release hostages in the second phase without an end to the war and Israeli forces’ full withdrawal. Netanyahu, meanwhile, maintains that Israel is committed to victory over Hamas and the return of all hostages captured in the Oct. 7, 2023, attack that triggered the war.

Washington, DC Church "Owns" The Proud Boys!

President Donald J. Trump pardoned and commuted the sentences of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers. The two are extreme right.

They are considered dangerous.

Trump’s pardoning of the participants of the Jan. 6 insurrectionists is considered one of the worst decisions in his first 100 days. Oh he has made many more.

The Proud Boys were vicious in 2020. When Trump lost to Joe Biden, many of his supporters caused damaged while in Washington, DC.

A church that hosted former president Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey and was the spiritual for Fredrick Douglass was vandalized by the Proud Boys.

The church sued the Proud Boys for $1 million in damages.

The Proud Boys refused to pay.

A federal judge ruled that the Proud Boys will lose their trademark and everything they earn will go to the church.

The Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church got the ruling on Monday.

Unapologetic former leader of the Proud Boys will lose his right to tell his story and make a buck.

The ruling means that the far-right group can no longer use its name, and “clears the way for the church to try to seize any money that the Proud Boys might make by selling merchandise like hats or T-shirts emblazoned with their name or with any of their familiar logos, including a black and yellow laurel wreath,” the New York Times reports.

Proud Boys leader Henry “Enrique” Tarrio pleaded guilty to the act that July.

The Proud Boys were ordered to pay the church more than $1 million in 2023 but the group failed to do so, leading to Monday’s ruling.

Trump pardoned Tarrio, who also pleaded guilty to bringing a high-capacity magazine into the District, when he returned to office last month, and members of the group marched in DC on Inauguration Day. Tarrio called the ruling a “betrayal of justice,” the Times reports.

AP Cuts Babyface Short!

Whip appeal.

The Associated Press has caused a controversy involving two entertainment reporters and Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds.

Edmonds was the lead singer of the Cincinnati based group The Deele. He went solo and ended up releasing nine studio albums. Edmonds discovered Usher, P!NK, OutKast, TLC, Toni Braxton, Donell Jones, T.I., Goodie Mob, Shanice and so many others. He and former drummer turned disgraced media mogul Antonio "L.A." Reid founded LaFace Records.

The legendary singer and media personality was at the Grammys. He was being interviewed and within 10 seconds, it ended.

The two ended an interview abruptly for a Grammy nominee.

The one who interrupted apologized during the livestream. It was terminated after a major backlash happened. It was a total disaster and it forced the AP to do a course correction.

The Associated Press issued an apology to Edmonds on Monday after people online criticized reporters at the outlet for cutting their Grammys red carpet interview off to beckon nominee Chappell Roan.

"We are deeply sorry for cutting our interview with Babyface short on our YouTube livestream of the Grammys red carpet," the outlet wrote on X. "We have apologized to him through his representative and to our viewers on the livestream."

In the stream, AP entertainment reporters Leslie Ambriz and Krysta Fauria are seen chatting with the 65-year-old Grammy-winning artist, songwriter and producer ahead of the Sunday awards ceremony when the interview suddenly took what some viewers online described as an awkward and disrespectful turn.

Krysta Fauria

Mid-conversation, Fauria suddenly appears to lean to the side of the shot before then shouting over Babyface to get Roan's attention. Roan was nominated for several awards including best new artist, which she later won.

Babyface then smiled and stepped aside. He told the reporters, “Go do that,” and returned the microphone to Ambriz, who apologized for the interruption.

The AP's post on X came after the journalists themselves had already addressed the moment at the end of their livestream.

“I’m really sorry about interrupting Babyface earlier,” Fauria said, standing alongside Ambriz and another AP journalist, Gary Gerard Hamilton. “Chappell Roan had come up and there was a lot of commotion, as there is on these carpets.”

But a clip of the interview continued to spark outrage from fans and celebrities as it circulated across social media platforms.

Reality TV star and entrepreneur Khloé Kardashian was among those who weighed in, calling the exchange “disrespectful” and highlighting Edmonds’ legacy.

Krysta Fauria and Leslie Ambriz brushed off Babyface for Chappell Roan.

“It’s maddening to see a LEGEND not get the respect and attention they deserve. He is a pioneer and deserves so much better than this,” the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star wrote on X. “I love you @babyface and I am a forever fan and thankful for all that you have blessed us with.”

Singer and actor Dionne Warwick also shared her thoughts, reposting the clip on X with a pointed question: “13x Grammy Award-winning Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds? Am I seeing this correctly?”

She followed up with a screenshot of the dictionary definition of “decorum,” tagging AP in the post.

In a statement issued on Monday, Babyface reflected on the Grammys overall.

“The best part of the night was reconnecting with old friends, meeting new artists, and feeling all the love in the room,” he said. “That’s what I’ll remember. That’s what it’s really about. Music is bigger than any one moment. Much love to everyone who won and everyone out here making great music.”

Ken Martin: Gloves Off!

The status quo is back in the DNC.

The Democratic National Committee picked a new leader.

The status quo within the Democratic Party almost ensures some small gains but a longtime of endless losses.

For one thing, the new chair is supportive of Israel. The majority of Democratic voters opposes Israel, opposing aiding Israel in their genocide and the gaslighting from U.S. House and Senate members.

The Democratic failed to win over Black men, Latinos, Arab Americans and Muslim voters. They also felt the sting of a reality.

Some of the influncers on the left were tone deaf to the base. Trust me, I still see this on social media and many of these folks continue attacking the left instead of trying to bring them back in.

Former president Joe Biden has made the Democrats highly unpopular. His stances on Israel, the TikTok ban and the unintentional sabotage of former vice president Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign still simmers. I will not let this go.

Biden spent 15 months on his hands and knees bowing to a bunch of fascists.

Because of that, we actually have the return of Donald J. Trump. The moron president in three weeks managed to spook the global economy and put so many Americans in anxiety.

Ken Martin, 51, a low-profile seasoned Midwestern political operator, will lead the party’s resistance toTrump after being elected chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

He ran on promises to broaden the party’s appeal among the working class and pledged not to shy away from the Democrats’ dedication to diversity.

Martin’s win over his closest rival Ben Wikler, the chairman of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, ended a months-long race that focused on party mechanics and messaging, rather than any radical ideological changes.

During the campaign, he said the party already had “the right message”. But in his first message as leader, he quickly offered a warning to Trump and his allies, saying: “We’re coming. This is a new Democratic Party. We’re taking the gloves off.”

Martin succeeds Jaime Harrison of South Carolina atop the Democratic National Committee. Harrison did not seek another term after the 2024 election when Trump became the first Republican to win the popular vote in two decades and made modest gains with core Democratic constituencies — African Americans, Latinos and working-class voters, among them.

Martin now becomes one of the most important players in the Democratic Party’s comeback attempt as Trump pushes the limits of presidential power. While Martin promised bold changes, he said he could not discuss specific actions until the party conducted a postelection review to determine what went wrong in November.

Ultimately, Martin’s relationships with DNC members helped him overcome Wikler’s higher-profile alliances. Martin is one of the longest serving state party chairs, having led the Minnesota Democratic-Labor-Farmer Party since 2011.

While the Democrats inside the cavernous hotel ballroom cheered Martin’s election, not every one was convinced that he alone can lead the party’s resurgence.

Jeanna Repass, the Kansas Democratic chair and an unsuccessful candidate for DNC vice chair, described Martin as “a workhorse” instead of “a champion.”

“Your workhorse pulls the plow, and you need that. But we don’t have that voice, that champion, to get out in front of us,” Repass said. “Donald Trump, for all of his faults, is able to get up there and lie with impunity and do it convincingly, and I don’t hear or see that voice in our party.”

Martin on Saturday promised to refocus the Democratic message on working-class voters, strengthen Democratic infrastructure across the country and improve the party’s anti-Trump rapid response system. He has pledged not to shy away from Democrats’ dedication to diversity and minority groups, a pillar of the modern-day party.

Two tone deaf Democratic Party leaders.

Still, Martin became the first white man to lead the DNC since 2011.

Also in the race were Martin O’Malley, a former Maryland governor and Biden administration official, and Faiz Shakir, who managed Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ last presidential campaign.

Candidate Marianne Williamson, an activist and author, surprised DNC members before voting began by endorsing Martin as “our best chance to cut the cord with the billionaire funded corruption that will otherwise obstruct and limit our possibilities.”

Fundraising was one of the few issues that differentiated the front-runners.

Some candidates criticized Wikler for relying on billionaires to fund his campaign. George Soros and Reid Hoffman, the LinkedIn cofounder, each gave Wikler $250,000, according to federal filings.

Martin received a donation from a billionaire as well — Vance Opperman, a Minnesota-based businessman, donated $100,000. Martin has defended the party’s need accept money from wealthy donors to keep up with Republicans. He has said he would not take contributions from people who do not share his values.

The Democrats’ connection to such wealthy contributors could undermine one of the party’s central arguments against Trump, who has tapped more than a dozen billionaires for prominent roles in his nascent administration, none more prominent than Elon Musk.

Some of Martin’s competitors were more willing to make sweeping changes.

Shakir called for a reliance on small-dollar donors, much more coordination with labor unions and less focus on minority groups sorted by race and gender. The only Muslim seeking the chairmanship, Shakir was alone during a recent candidate forum in opposing the creation of a Muslim caucus at the DNC.

Shakir earned just two votes, however. Martin got 246, Wikler 134 and O’Malley 44.

Some Democratic leaders remain concerned about the direction of their party.

“As positive as I am and as hopeful as I am, I’m watching this in real time, thinking to myself, ‘We’re in real trouble because I don’t see a desire to change,’” Repass said.

5 Grammys And The Super Bowl!

Kendrick Lamar won five Grammys. He will perform at Super Bowl LIX.

Black entertainers come for the neck.

Alicia Keys says DEI is not a threat, but a gift.

Trevor Noah dings President Donald J. Trump at the Grammys.

The South Africa-born comedian, who hosted the awards for the fifth consecutive year this weekend, immigrated to the U.S. in 2011 and joked that he may not be able to stay in the country to continue his hosting streak, given Trump’s new crackdown.

“I don’t know if you know this, but there’s been a few changes in Washington, so I’m going to enjoy tonight because this may be my last time I get to host anything in this country,” Noah said during the live broadcast.

Trump’s ICE raids have led to the detaining and questioning of migrants across the country. The raids have reportedly resulted in the arrests and detainment of some natural American citizens, particularly Native Americans and Puerto Ricans.

In the wake of tariffs being imposed on Canada, Mexico and China, the three nations warn that free trade is at risk and Americans will see financial pain.

Noah joked about the upcoming Beyoncé Cowboy Carter tour. He said that Americans might want to get discounts because they may end up paying $50 for maple syrup.

“Yesterday, Beyoncé announced her new tour. Yeah, everyone saw that. I will say though, Beyoncé, there’s tariffs—we can’t afford a new tour. Maple syrup is about to be $50.”

Kendrick [Lamar] Duckworth won all the categories in hip-hop. Lamar's "Not Like Us" swept all five of its nominations, which included Record of the Year and Song of the Year, making it the most-decorated rap song in Grammy history. He became the second rap artist to win both awards, after Childish Gambino in 2019.

Crowning the Queen.

Beyoncé received the most nominations at the ceremony with eleven and won three awards, which included Album of the Year and Best Country Album for Cowboy Carter. She became the first Black artist to win Best Country Album, and the first Black woman to win Album of the Year since Lauryn Hill in 1999. Other three-time winners included Charli XCX and St. Vincent. In addition, Chappell Roan took home Best New Artist. Other artists that led nominations included Charli XCX and Post Malone with eight each, and Billie Eilish with seven.

I bet that pisses off MAGAland.

Cowboy Carter is by far one of Beyoncé's best albums. The country stations refused to play it claiming she was hip-hop. The pop star has done it all.

Bey can rap, sing, act and defy the hate.

Kendrick Lamar got his flowers. He will be crowned one of the Kings of Hip-Hop.

He beat Metro Boomin, Future, Common, J. Cole, Pete Rock, Eminem and Doechii.

However, Doechii ended up winning best rap album. Alligator Bites Never Heal won Best Rap Album at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, while its lead single "Nissan Altima" received a nomination for Best Rap Performance and Doechii herself earned a nomination for Best New Artist.

I bet that pisses off Drake, Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, J. Cole, The Game, Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent.

Cognitive Declining Trump Wants To Seize 🇬🇱 🇨🇦 And The 🇵🇦 Canal!

Ontario Primer Doug Ford is warning Americans that Trump will cripple their lives.

The Premiers of Ontario and British Columbia have issued moratoriums.

They said they will remove products made in U.S. states ran by Republicans.

Canada and Mexico ordered retaliatory tariffs on American goods in response to sweeping tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump, and businesses and consumers in both countries questioned Sunday how the new trade war might affect them.

Canada initially ordered tariffs of 25% on American imports starting Tuesday, including beverages, cosmetics and paper products worth 30 billion Canadian dollars ($20 billion). A second list of goods was to be released soon, including passenger vehicles, trucks, steel and aluminum products, certain fruits and vegetables, beef, pork, dairy products, aerospace products and more. Those goods were estimated to be worth 125 billion Canadian dollars ($85 billion).

“We can play the game all they want,” Trump said. He said he plans to speak with his Canadian and Mexican counterparts on Monday.

Some roads, buildings and monuments of the United States sit on the International Boundary

Washington has Point Roberts. The town sits on the sliver of British Columbia. The Americans have to enter British Columbia to travel one hour to Washington. The Smugglers Inn in Blaine, Washington was permanently closed because of the U.S. and Canadian authorities suing the owner to bankruptcy. He would not report illegal crossings and allegedly smuggled products from Canada into the the U.S. without declaring them. The International Peace Arch Monument sits between Washington and British Columbia. Surrey, British Columbia and Blaine, Washington have a "friends" park.

The town of Coutts, Alberta have emergency services for the village of Sweet Grass, Montana.

The International Peace Garden sits between Manitoba and North Dakota.

Minnesota has Angle Inlet. The Minnesota angle is bordered between Manitoba and Ontario. The Americans have to take a two hour drive from Manitoba to Minnesota.

The Gordie Howe International Bridge was funded by Canada. They put over 75% of the profits into building the new crossing that will build better relations with the United States. It was the biggest project for Detroit and took over 20 years to make it happen. The bridge is expected to be open to traffic in late 2025.

The Akwesasne tribal organization covers New York, Ontario and Quebec. The Mohawk sovereignties share the land and are freely able to travel without U.S. or Canadian border interference. Certainly the Trump administration will interrupt this.

New York has five places that sit directly on the U.S.-Canadian border. The Rainbow Bridge is a landmark to visitors of Niagara Falls. The two cities both in New York and Ontario have a revenue in the billions from the falls, casinos and wedding venues.

Vermont has ten places that sit directly on the U.S.-Canadian border. The Haskel Free Library, Rue Canusa, the East Richford Slide Cemetery, Province Point, Tivoly Manufacturing literally sit on the border.

Pittsburg, New Hampshire is a town of 800. The town has impassable roads. Some Americans have to travel into Quebec to get to their homes.

President Donald J. Trump back to golfing while there's a crisis.

Maine is the most complex. Northwest Maine is unorganized territory. The roads are impassable. Many Americans must travel into Quebec and New Brunswick to get into Maine. Estcourt Station is a tiny village at the tip of Maine. If you have no off road vehicles, you must travel two hours into Canada to get into Estcourt Station. At some point, you have to be at the border stations before 5pm on weekdays or you literally are stuck. A series of islands in New Brunswick have limited travel. You have to either take a ferry or a bridge to Lubec, Maine from the islands. There is the Aroostook Valley Golf Course and Resort. It sits on the border of Maine and New Brunswick. It is the only public golf course where Canadians have to travel an hour to Maine to hit the links. Also the disputed Machias Seal Islands. The U.S. and Canada have a longstanding conflict over that island.

Doug Ford, François Legault and David Eby are the first of the 13 Canadian primers who may impose crippling sanctions on the U.S.

If you unemployed and desperately in need of work, hey you can sign up to join the U.S. Armed Services. Or join the Israeli Defence Forces.

The U.S. is willing to give you benefits and probably veteran's assistance.

Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL) and Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) have proposed offering Americans who serve in the IDF, U.S. veteran's assistance. That's America First!

You serving a foreign country's military and be rewarded American benefits.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio went to Panama to demand the country end its association with China and return operations to the United States. It was met with protests and vows of no longer cooperation with the U.S.

The U.S. is seriously damaging its reputation and the signature accomplishment of Trump was the USCAM Agreement. That could collapse if Trump continues on.

Mexico has so far said only that it will impose retaliatory tariffs, without mentioning any rate or products.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum spoke by phone Saturday after Trump’s administration imposed the new tariffs — 25% on goods from Canada and Mexico, with a lower rate of 10% for Canadian oil, and 10% on imports from China.

Trudeau’s office said in a statement that Canada and Mexico agreed “to enhance the strong bilateral relations” between their countries. Canadian officials have had extensive dialogue with their Mexican counterparts, but a senior Canadian official said he would not go as far as to say the tariff responses were coordinated.

“Now is the time to chose products made right here in Canada,” Trudeau posted Sunday on X. “Check the labels. Let’s do our part. Wherever we can, choose Canada.”

Canada is the largest export market for 36 states, and Mexico is the largest trading partner of the U.S.

Canada and Mexico ordered the tariffs despite Trump’s further threat to increase the duties charged if retaliatory levies are placed on American goods.

“We’re certainly not looking to escalate, but we will stand up for Canada,” Trudeau said late Saturday.

Some authorities in the provinces of Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, Manitoba and Nova Scotia planned to remove American liquor brands from government store shelves.

For instance, the Liquor Control Board of Ontario sells nearly $1 billion worth of American wine, beer, spirits and seltzers every year, Ontario Premier Doug Ford pointed out Sunday.

“Not anymore,” Ford said in a statement. Starting Tuesday, they planned to remove American products from their shelves and their catalog. As the only alcohol wholesaler in the province, the board’s action will prevent Ontario-based restaurants and retailers from ordering or restocking U.S. products.

British Columbia Premier David Eby vows to punish Republican states.

On social media, people were sharing suggestions for alternatives to American products.

Trudeau addressed Americans directly, saying they the tariffs “will have real consequences for you.”

Trump responded Sunday, criticizing Canada’s trade surplus with the United States and contending that without that surplus, “Canada ceases to exist as a viable Country. Harsh but true! Therefore, Canada should become our Cherished 51st State. Much lower taxes, and far better military protection for the people of Canada — AND NO TARIFFS!”

Canadians are feeling a sense of betrayal. Trudeau reminded Americans that Canadian troops fought alongside them in Afghanistan and helped respond to many disasters in the U.S., including wildfires in California and Hurricane Katrina.

Canadian hockey fans booed the American national anthem Saturday at two National Hockey League games. The booing continued Sunday at an NBA game in Toronto where the Raptors played the Los Angeles Clippers.

One fan at the Raptors game chose to sit during the anthem while wearing a Canada hat. Joseph Chua, who works as an importer, said he expects to feel the tariffs “pretty directly.”

“I’ve always stood during both anthems. I’ve taken my hat off to show respect to the American national anthem, but today we’re feeling a little bitter about things,” he said, adding that he will start to avoid buying American products.

In Mexico, public statements on the tariff threat have been limited to saying the government is prepared and that it will ensure the country is respected.

In 2019, Mexico avoided Trump’s tariff threat by adding immigration control to the responsibilities of its newly formed National Guard, but this time the accusation that Sheinbaum’s administration has alliances with criminal groups pushed her to punch back.

She called on the U.S. to clean up its own problems with drugs and guns and to keep its nose out of Mexico. Trump said he was imposing the tariffs to stop the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs across both the southern and northern U.S. borders.

In the streets, Mexicans were trying to absorb the announcement.

From a small coffee and snack shop in downtown, Carlos Barona, 40-year-old salesperson, said that Trump’s decision did not worry him and that he trusts in the actions of Sheinbaum’s administration.

“If we survived the pandemic and everything that it brought to us, I think we will survive this,” he said.

In the border city of Mexicali, across from Calexico, California, some people were concerned about the wider implications of a trade war.

Driver Alejandro Acosta says that he crosses the border weekly in his truck to deliver vegetables to American companies. He said he fears American businesses in the Mexicali Valley will no longer want to operate in Mexico and they will move to the U.S.

“If they raise taxes on the factories here, jobs may also decrease,” he said.

The trade war comes as Canada begins an election cycle. Trudeau’s Liberal Party will announce a new leader on March 9, and a spring election is expected.

“Canada will not bow down to a bully,” said Mark Carney, considered the front-runner to replace Trudeau.

🇺🇸 To Impose Tariffs On 🇨🇦, 🇲🇽, 🇨🇳 And 🇩🇰!

Tensions between U.S. and Canada. This is President Donald J. Trump's third week.

The Trump Administration confirms there will be tariffs imposed on China, Denmark, Canada and Mexico.

American travelers: Be warned, you can be turned away from entering Canada and Mexico at the discretion of border agents. If you are, you are forbidden from entry for two years. If caught by Mexico, the ban will exceed up to 10 years. If caught by Canada, the ban will be longer years. A second time, it will be 20 years or a lifetime ban.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada, Democratic People's Republic of China President Xi Jinping, Mexico President Claudia Sheinbaum, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen of Denmark and Danish King Frederik X will react to President Donald J. Trump in due time.

The tariffs on Canada and Mexico will certainly have an impact on trade, immigration and assistance when disasters strike. Canada and Mexico assisted the U.S. during the California wildfires, the two major airplane crashes and NORAD.

This will collapse the USCAM Agreement that Trump pushed in 2019. It went into effect in 2020 and was somewhat an achievement for the 45/47th president.

Trump showed his incompetence again.

Government workers are furious at Trump. Taking a page out of Elon Musk's playbook, the president fired FBI agents and Biden appointed U.S. Attorneys who investigated him and the Jan. 6 insurrectionists. He also is demanding thousands of federal workers to resign or be forced out.

That will impact the jobs report and we will see if the economy will show growth or decline. Just to make it clear, former president Joe Biden's policies have impacted retail and commercial businesses. Several national companies are going out of business. It happened under Biden and is continuing under Trump.

Inflation has eased slightly but due to the Avain H5N1 (Bird Flu) pandemic, egg and food prices have increased again.

With Trump taking the U.S. out of the World Health Organization and the Paris Climate Accords, it will be difficult to prevent deadly diseases or catastrophe weather events from happening.

Trump claiming a "major threat" from illegal immigration and drugs -- a move that sparked promises of retaliation.

Canadian and Mexican exports to the United States will face a 25 percent tariff starting Tuesday, although energy resources from Canada will have a lower 10 percent levy.

Goods from China, which already face various rates of duties, will see an additional 10 percent tariff.

The announcement threatens upheaval across supply chains, from energy to automobiles to food.

Trump invoked the International Emergency Economic Powers Act in imposing the tariffs, with the White House saying "the extraordinary threat posed by illegal aliens and drugs, including deadly fentanyl, constitutes a national emergency."

The aim is to hold all three countries "accountable to their promises of halting illegal immigration and stopping poisonous fentanyl and other drugs from flowing into our country," the White House added.

China's commerce ministry said in a statement it would take "corresponding countermeasures" and file a claim against Washington at the World Trade Organization.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced that her country would impose retaliatory tariffs.

Sheinbaum said she had told her economy minister "to implement Plan B that we have been working on, which includes tariff and non-tariff measures in defense of Mexico's interests."

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau -- who spoke with Sheinbaum -- separately said his country would hit back with 25 percent levies of its own on select American goods worth Can $155 billion (U.S. $106 billion), with a first round on Tuesday followed by a second one in three weeks.

"We're certainly not looking to escalate. But we will stand up for Canada, for Canadians, for Canadian jobs," he said in a dramatic tone as he warned of a fracture in longstanding Canada-U.S. ties.

Trump has repeatedly expressed his approval of tariffs as a policy measure, and has signaled that Saturday's action could be the first volley in further trade conflicts to come.

This week, he also pledged to impose future duties on the European Union.

He has also promised tariffs on semiconductors, steel, aluminum, oil and gas.

"Tariffs are a powerful, proven source of leverage for protecting the national interest," the White House said.

- 'Opening salvo' -

"The tariff action announced today makes clear that our friends, neighbors and Free Trade Agreement partners are in the line of fire," said Wendy Cutler, vice president at the Asia Society Policy Institute and a former U.S. trade negotiator.

"The move today is an opening salvo on the tariff front," she told AFP.

Economic integration between the United States, Mexico and Canada -- who share a trade pact -- means stiff tariffs will have "a strong and immediate impact" in all three countries, she said.

Imposing sweeping tariffs on the three biggest U.S. trading partners in goods carries risks for Trump, who won November's election partly due to public dissatisfaction over the economy.

Higher import costs would likely "dampen consumer spending and business investment," said EY chief economist Gregory Daco.

He expects inflation would rise by 0.7 percentage points in the first quarter this year with the tariffs in place, before gradually easing.

"Rising trade policy uncertainty will heighten financial market volatility and strain the private sector, despite the administration's pro-business rhetoric," he said.

Economists also expect growth to take a hit.

Trump's supporters have downplayed fears that tariffs would fuel inflation, with some suggesting his planned tax cuts and deregulation measures could boost growth instead.

- Ready to respond -

Doug Ford, premier of Canada's economic engine Ontario, warned of potential job losses and a slowdown in business with tariffs.

He told CNN Saturday: "We're going to stand up for what's right."

U.S. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has warned new tariffs could "further drive up costs for American consumers."

Canada and Mexico are major suppliers of U.S. agricultural products.

The tariffs are also expected to hit the auto industry hard, since automakers and suppliers produce components throughout the region.

Analysts have warned that hiking import taxes on crude oil from countries like Canada and Mexico threaten U.S. energy prices too.

Nearly 60 percent of U.S. crude oil imports are from Canada, according to a Congressional Research Service report.

Plane Crash In Alaska!

At least the pilot survived. But $80 million lost.

What is going on with our aviation?

Before the two most notable ones, there were plane crashes in Alaska, Fullerton, California and Honolulu, Hawai'i.

President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Gov. Mike Dunleavy, Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK), Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Rep. Nick Begich (R-AK) were notified of a video showing a F-35 jet crashing in Alaska.

This happened days before the Washington, DC and Philadelphia plane crashes.

On top of that, the U.S. President failed to acknowledge this incident.

As with most crisis in the country, Trump does a tone deaf response. He immediately blamed former presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama. He also claimed that DEI was a reason for the tragedies.

He is enjoying a weekend in Florida at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

While there, at behest of Israel he ordered the military to conduct an airstrike on Somalia to take out the Islamic State. The Islamic State was supposed eliminated by Trump in 2019.

What happened?

Also NORAD.

U.S. and Canadian fighter jets were dispatched after Russian fighter jets were spotted in near Alaska and the Yukon.

Anyway, a U.S. Air Force pilot was reported to be safe after a single-seat F-35 fighter jet crashed Tuesday during a training exercise at a base in Alaska.

The pilot experienced an “inflight malfunction” but was able to eject from the aircraft, Col. Paul Townsend, commander of the 354th Fighter Wing, told a news conference. The plane crashed during the landing phase of the flight at Eielson Air Force Base, he said.

The pilot had declared an inflight emergency prior to the crash and was in stable condition and being evaluated at a medical facility, he said.

The crash, which occurred early Tuesday afternoon, caused significant damage to the aircraft, the Air Force said in a statement.

Eielson Air Force Base is about 25 miles (40 kilometers) south of Fairbanks.

Townsend said in the statement said the Air Force would conduct “a thorough investigation in hopes to minimize the chances of such occurrences from happening again.”

Eielson was selected in 2016 to host 54 F-35s, spawning an expansion that cost more than a half-billion dollars that was to include 36 new buildings and dozens of housing units. The expansion included about 3,500 new active duty airmen and their dependents.

With the capability to fly more than 12 hours at a time, the F-35 can reach almost anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere in one mission.

In May, an F-35 fighter jet on its way from Texas to Edwards Air Force Base near Los Angeles crashed after the pilot stopped to refuel in New Mexico. The pilot was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

In October, a Marine investigation blamed the pilot of an F-35 for ejecting from the aircraft when he didn’t need to, causing the fighter to fly unmanned for 11 minutes before it crashed in rural South Carolina in 2023.

ICE Barbie!

Mattel, come and get your doll.

President Donald J. Trump began his term with 46% job approval. It was his highest so far. His first term was 43%.

Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has a nickname that she not gonna like.

They labeled her the ICE Barbie.

She embarrassingly came to New York City dolled up for an Immigration Customs Enforcement raid. Then she went to Fox and had a clash with Laura Ingraham, one of the propagandists for MAGA and Israel.

Noem, former South Dakota governor was vilified for killing her puppy after it had an incurable disease. she was on the shortlist of DEI picks for vice president. It got passed on to a man who repressed his gayness. A man who called his boss America's Hitler. He also married an Indian American woman.

Noem faced allegations of adultery with Corey Lewandowski and her godly awful plastic surgery. In 2020, Noem allowed the Sturgis motorcycle rally happen during the COVID pandemic and it killed 2,000 people.

Noem was told not to issue fireworks during a wildfire warning. She allowed it because of the current president and media personality Mary Hart being total assholes.

Noem has an alcohol problem too.

Noem is banned from 14 tribal reservations.

Noem also signed off the reestablishment of the Keystone XL pipeline in preparation of Trump's return. The Keystone XL pipeline allows Alberta, Canada oil tar sands ship through tribal sovereignties and water resources for an outsource in Port Arthur, Texas.

The Senate easily confirmed her. Several Democrats backed her.

The newly sworn leader was late to her swearing in. Vice President JD Vance waited for three hours to swear her in. He got tired of waiting on her so Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas had to swear her in.

So Tom Homan, the border czar and Noem have started the mass deportation which coincide with the infamous Project 2025 that former vice president Kamala Harris warned voters about.

Trump has now considered overturning former president Joe Biden’s order to reduce occupation of Guantanamo. He wants to put deported individuals in that facility if the U.S. is turned away from countries receiving.

Trump wants to continue keeping the 40 men who the U.S. claimed were terrorists in permanent custody.

Noem before and after. When she was a U.S. House member, Kristi Noem aged naturally. She decided to get the MAGA makeover after she won the governor seat in South Dakota.

Trump was granted more power to enforce immigration laws.

Congress passed the latest white nationalism based law named after a white woman.

The Laken Riley Act is a United States law that requires the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to detain illegal immigrants admitting to, charged with, or convicted of theft-related crimes, assaulting a police officer, or a crime that results in death or serious bodily injury like drunk driving. The Act also allows states to sue the Department of Homeland Security for alleged failures in immigration enforcement.

The bill was introduced following the murder of Laken Riley by an illegal immigrant, who had previously been cited for shoplifting, on the campus of the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. On January 22, 2025, the House agreed to the Senate’s version of the bill with a 263–156 vote. Trump signed the bill into law on January 29, 2025.

The bill is opposed by organizations including the American Immigration Council, the American Civil Liberties Union, the Center for Constitutional Rights, the League of Women Voters, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, the National Education Association, the National Organization for Women, the Southern Poverty Law Center, the United Steelworkers, the United Church of Christ, the National Association of Social Workers, the National Council of Churches, the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists, the Center for Law and Social Policy, and the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.
