Kendrick Lamar won five Grammys. He will perform at Super Bowl LIX. |
Black entertainers come for the neck.
Alicia Keys says DEI is not a threat, but a gift.
Trevor Noah dings President Donald J. Trump at the Grammys.
The South Africa-born comedian, who hosted the awards for the fifth consecutive year this weekend, immigrated to the U.S. in 2011 and joked that he may not be able to stay in the country to continue his hosting streak, given Trump’s new crackdown.
“I don’t know if you know this, but there’s been a few changes in Washington, so I’m going to enjoy tonight because this may be my last time I get to host anything in this country,” Noah said during the live broadcast.
Trump’s ICE raids have led to the detaining and questioning of migrants across the country. The raids have reportedly resulted in the arrests and detainment of some natural American citizens, particularly Native Americans and Puerto Ricans.
In the wake of tariffs being imposed on Canada, Mexico and China, the three nations warn that free trade is at risk and Americans will see financial pain.
Noah joked about the upcoming Beyoncé Cowboy Carter tour. He said that Americans might want to get discounts because they may end up paying $50 for maple syrup.
“Yesterday, Beyoncé announced her new tour. Yeah, everyone saw that. I will say though, Beyoncé, there’s tariffs—we can’t afford a new tour. Maple syrup is about to be $50.”

Beyoncé received the most nominations at the ceremony with eleven and won three awards, which included Album of the Year and Best Country Album for Cowboy Carter. She became the first Black artist to win Best Country Album, and the first Black woman to win Album of the Year since Lauryn Hill in 1999. Other three-time winners included Charli XCX and St. Vincent. In addition, Chappell Roan took home Best New Artist. Other artists that led nominations included Charli XCX and Post Malone with eight each, and Billie Eilish with seven.
I bet that pisses off MAGAland.
Cowboy Carter is by far one of Beyoncé's best albums. The country stations refused to play it claiming she was hip-hop. The pop star has done it all.
Bey can rap, sing, act and defy the hate.
Kendrick Lamar got his flowers. He will be crowned one of the Kings of Hip-Hop.
He beat Metro Boomin, Future, Common, J. Cole, Pete Rock, Eminem and Doechii.
However, Doechii ended up winning best rap album. Alligator Bites Never Heal won Best Rap Album at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, while its lead single "Nissan Altima" received a nomination for Best Rap Performance and Doechii herself earned a nomination for Best New Artist.
I bet that pisses off Drake, Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, J. Cole, The Game, Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent.
