Benzino: No Neck And No Damn Sense At All! 👈🤮

Raymond Scott caught up in another embarrassing situation.

Eminem released his single "Houdini" and it became the fastest streamed single in history. It was a smart move to wait until Kendrick Lamar and Drake's feud settled down.

The album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) is possibly the retirement album from Em. Being a perfectionist, Em will release the album when the timing is right. The album will likely have production from Em, Dr. Dre, Mr. Porter and Luis Resto.

Album executive produced by Em, Dre and Mr. Porter.

Em also watched his daughter Hallie Mathers get married this year. He shared a few pictures of her and her new husband.

He is going to address his old nemesis once again likely.

Raymond Scott is never without an excuse. He is falling further down. A nearly 60 year old man child who had everything but squandered it for drugs and his grudges. He was once a celebrity. Not a big celebrity, but known around hip-hop circles as Benzino. Scott squandered all of the money he and his former business partner Dave Mays earned when they ran The Source. His ongoing feud with Eminem has ruined his reputation and pretty much blackballed him.

Now he is trying to sabotage his only daughter. She is well known and is building a career for herself. His reputation and his need to be "respected" has his daughter actually disowning him.

Right off the bat, Scott comes out in defense of embattled media mogul Sean "Puffy" Combs as the entertainer is facing a federal sandwich of allegations of sex trafficking, drug trafficking, extortion and promoting prostitution of underage minors. Scott also is saying former singer, Robert Kelly (R. Kelly) got a bum rap and deserved a second chance.

Eminem dances with daughter Hallie.

Scott's former ally Wack 100 warned him to stop playing games with him, Em and daughter Coi Leray. The celebrity agitator has promised to release videos of Scott doing sex acts on himself. Earlier this year, we got wind of his ex-girlfriend telling stories of how Scott sexually abused her, placed cocaine in her food or in her intimate places, his fetish to wear women lingerie and his relentless outburst when he is caught looking at gay porn.

This week, Scott probably jumping up and down, whirling himself into a frenzy seeing Eminem dropping a single after he was mercilessly ridiculed for his ghostwritten diss "Rap Elvis."

And this gets so good.

A Georgia State Police dash cam leaked the latest encounter with the nearly 60 year old former rapper and reality TV star and his tendency to be operating a vehicle while being permanently banned from driving. Scott was pulled over on Interstate 75 near downtown Atlanta and he was on his cellphone and had his son not in a child seat. He also was smoking marijuana or was in direct contact with it while operating a vehicle.

This happened in 2019. His son Zino Scott was 4 years old at the time. This was also before the Real World Police body camera release of his first Brookhaven encounter when he had his vehicle impounded and the second encounter where he went on his racist tirade with an Asian American officer and a female officer when the vehicle was on a warrant hit.

This also occurred in the year where he had got into a fight with Althea Easton during his Christmas party where she had to take her son after he threatened to hurt them. Not to mention the 2020 incidents. There were two times the Brookhaven Police were called to his then apartment after he berated the general manager and her landlord staff after he was served an eviction. Scott threatened her with violence. Scott was evicted properly.

Scott also was caught up in a scuffle with a man after he got upset over Althea walked around her home with the man and Scott's son. He went totally ballistic. Crying and threatening violence led to his arrest in Gwinnett County.

Scott also had a drunken meltdown when he went on Drink Champs with N.O.R.E.

Scott was upset over the junk food media constantly asking him about Em. Yet, he went into a tirade calling Em a racist, saying he ain't hip-hop and blaming everyone for his career failure. He also blame Coi for abandoning him for Busta Rhymes.

Busta Rhymes is mentoring Coi and Scott is saying its inappropriate for him to be with her.

Last year, Eminem addressed Charlamagne Tha God, Melly Mel, The Game, Lord Jamarr and MGK. He even said that he's not worried about being No. 1. He's worried about these idiots trying to use his name for clout.

Responding to these idiots is a "lose-lose" for Em. It gives the idiot a paycheck and interviews. Em wants to make sure that his foes are buried in the coffin. Scott to this day continues to dig himself out of his coffin.

Em mocked Scott for his constant failures and his famous physique. He also took aim at Coi Leray after she said that she needed permission to do a collab with him. Scott for years was talking reckless about him. That diss restarted the beef.

The internet trolls mock Scott for having no neck. Of course, he gets riled up whenever people mock his failures. Scott is really vulgar and extremely racist whenever someone calls him out on his ongoing feud with Em.

Scott decided to fly out to Detroit and actually film his "Rap Elvis" music video in front of Mom's Spaghetti, a popular establishment close to the Fox Theatre, Comerica Park and Ford Field. The business is located in the Little Caesars Corporate Headquarters on Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit.

Trick Trick, Snap Dogg, Royce Da 5'9" and Icewear Vezzo warned Scott to stay out of the city. They warned him that his beef with Em will only result in him being ridiculed as a "Stan." The goons would also handle him if he decided to show his face.

Scott proved Em's point.

By filming a low budget video, purchasing a spaghetti meal, posing around the facility and doing everything to gain attention is the ultimate "Stan" move for Scott.

What makes it so ironic, the fool done purchased the spaghetti only to dump it on the ground. It was revealed he picked up the spaghetti. He tried to steal a sign only to place it back. The video was done in less than 45 minutes. Scott was lip syncing the diss. He couldn't remember the lyrics. He had ghostwriters write his disses. Many pointed out the weird guy with orange hair in a fur coat, Scott not being able to keep up with his lyrics, the change of scenery, the interludes and the fact that he can't afford to do this seeing he is practically broke. He is living off another person.

Scott now trying to charge podcasters for interviews. What a joke?

Anyway, his stunt backfired and folks are demanding he give up the feud and move on.

Benzino Dog.

The winners and losers of 2024.

I feel sorry for Coi LeRay. Her legacy is tarnished because of her father's constant need to be in the spotlight. Scott is no longer a rapper or even a reality television star. He is a washed up celebrity who ruined his career feuding with Eminem. Anything he does is in the words of Eminem, "speaking from the grave."

Shout out to The Evolve, Wack 100, Crypt, Cliff Beats, NoLifeShaq, Aayan X, N.O.R.E., DJ EFN, The Danza Project, 50 Cent and all the podcasters on YouTube. These podcasters are the reasons to why I address the crisis with Scott. It has put a real dent in Coi Leray.

  79. He has no neck.
  80. He has no fame.

It is part of an ongoing feud that has been going on for over 20 years. It is the only thing memorable about him. Besides the reality series, "Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta", Scott was the former co-owner of The Source Magazine and Hip-Hop Weekly.

He started a feud with Em to promote his album in 2002. Scott accused Em of being a "culture vulture" and a "Rap Elvis." Eminem is white and probably the most successful rappers because of his rhyming skills, not his race. Em released two devastating disses at Scott and ruined his rap career.

Scott in turn, used The Source Magazine as a weapon to trash Em. He tried to brand Em a racist after he made a demo tape dissing a Black woman. The song was blocked by Em and Scott ignored the injunction and released the single in full. Em sued the magazine and its founder Dave Mays, a white business executive and Scott's rap manager at the time. The Source ended up wasting all its money and going into bankruptcy. The magazine executives fired Mays and Scott after the feud. Mays ended up doing other ventures and Scott ended up going broke. Mays helped Scott get on reality television with Stevie J. He ended up ruining that and as of today, Scott has struggled.

Just to make this clear, Scott has tendencies to be bipolar, suicidal, violent and mentally unstable when he is under the influence of drugs and alcohol. So here the number for people dealing with mental illness and has suicidal tendencies.

Scott said that no one in the hood plays Eminem's music. He said Em's music is trailer trash and his fans voted for Donald J. Trump. He said thinks Em rhymes "masturbater in the elevator" whenever he's on the mic.

Tell me:

Has anyone in the hood ever heard of a Benzino song (other than the most recent disses)?

Or perhaps has anyone ever played any of Benzino's music?

Let me make this clear. If you believe your street credibility leads to you being arrested, financially struggling, estranged from your family, constantly angry at people, always trying win favor for unruly behavior; it's not the streets, it's you.

Raymond Scott, please get some mental health treatment. Try to repair the broken relationship with Coi and Zino. Stop capping. Act your fucking age. Stop obsessing with Eminem.

Your behavior is a totally a prediction of being a stan.

Signing off with this.... Benzino: No Neck and No Damn Sense At All.

Deadly BBQ: Mass Shooting In Akron!

Another deadly mass shooting in America. The city of Akron had its latest.

This the 224th mass shooting. This is the one of the shootings that made it to the junk food media. So far we had over 200 mass shootings and we're only mid year.

The incident happened in Akron, Ohio.

President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Gov. Mike DeWine, Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), Rep. Emilia Sykes (D-OH), Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) and Rep. Shontel Brown (D-OH) were notified.

An early morning shooting in Ohio killed one person and injured at least two dozen people, some critically, police said.

Shots were reported in a street in the city of Akron early Sunday just after midnight and multiple victims were hit by the gunfire, police said. Local hospitals told emergency dispatchers soon afterward that people were arriving in their emergency departments with gunshot wounds.

Capt. Michael Miller, an Akron police public information officer, told the Associated Press on Sunday morning that there were 25 total victims with one deceased. Some of the victims were in critical condition while others had injuries that were not life-threatening, he said.

"This morning, our city is reeling after the devastation of senseless violence," Miller and Akron Mayor Shammas Malik said in a joint statement. "With more than two dozen victims, the pain and trauma reverberates across all of Akron today as we search for answers. As with all acts of violence in our city, our hearts are with the victims and their loved ones."

CBS affiliate WOIO reported that police found dozens of bullet casings and one gun at the scene. The station reported the victim was a 27-year-old man.

No arrests were immediately reported. Police said the investigation is in its preliminary stages and asked anyone with information to call detectives.

Kelly Avenue in East Akron was blocked off for nine hours.

A 27-year-old man died in the incident, according to a news release from the Akron Police Department. According to a spokesman from Summa Health, he was dead when he reached the hospital.

According to spokespeople from Cleveland Clinic Akron General and Akron City, one patient at each hospital was listed in critical condition.

The far right on X are using this as a racial issue. Once again, without any evidence, they resorted to troupes about gang violence, the Black population and Democrats.

White people posing with guns are looked upon as tough, macho, heroes, patriots, etc.

Black people posing with guns are looked upon as....

1. Criminals.
2. Unfit parents.
3. Violent liberals.
4. Future delinquents.
5. School to prison pipeline.
6. A conservative propagandist's wet dream.

And Republicans want to make inroads with Black voters. Trump and his Republican allies use wedge issues like gun violence, Black on whatever crime, immigrants, Muslims and Israel to paint it as "Us vs. Them."

A bullet does not care about color. We all bleed red and so many lives are lost to gun violence and Republicans offer no solutions other than "thoughts and prayers" with a touch of "lock em up."

Gun violence is the number one threat in the United States.

I dismiss this ridiculous notion that criminals are the problem, not the guns. Firearms are often obtained through legal purchases.

Again, having more security, teachers being armed and offering safe rooms are not solving the problem. The problem is lawmakers not willing to stop gun violence.

According to the far rightWhite shooters are mentally ill. Black shooters are unrepentant criminals. Gay shooters are active groomers. Muslim shooters are terrorists. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants. Almost all mass shooters are registered Democrats because they have liked one thing common to the left. Of course, they often share disinformation by using the "Sam Hyde" meme as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white. They say a white person should "protect" from protesters and use of firearms are justified. They say if a shooter is active military or a veteran who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens, the far right automatically assume the gunmen are Black.

The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican lawmakers who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms. The far right and Republicans exploit gun violence in the Black community for culture wars and racism.

A bullet doesn't care about anything. It is only maintained for a target.

So in closing, expect more.

The website Officer Down is a memorial to those police officers who were killed in the line of duty. Those victims who don't get their names or accomplishments mentioned in the junk food media. Also the website the National Gun Violence Memorial also keeps record of the many individuals killed by gun violence. We are tracking police violence as well.

The call number to the White House and U.S. Capitol is now going to be used. This is the official White House numbers 202-456-1111 and 202-456-1414. This is the Congress official phone number, 202-224-3121. Please be respectful to operators, staff members and elected leaders. Your calls are monitored by the U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Capitol Police.

Let them know that "thoughts and prayers," "hearts going to" and "good guys with guns" are no longer acceptable and you want legislation to curb gun violence. Let them know that we are tired of police officers using immunity when committing death of suspects in custody. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel. You are tired of hearing about "Israel having a right to..." and the bogus claims of being anti-semitic or in support of terrorism. You want an immediate ceasefire and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and lawmakers avoid influence from lobbyists.

The Conway Shell Game!

It either Trump or me?

Family matters.

Kellyanne Conway is a former Trump adviser who is now a Fox contributor again.

She is engaged in an open feud with her estranged husband and her daughter.

Conway like many Republicans reacted to the Donald J. Trump verdict in New York.

Many Republicans are abandoning the "law and order" mantra for "we don't care if he is a criminal, we still voting for him" mantra. The neverending hypocrisy of MAGA.

The "Lock Her Up" and "Lock Him Up" crowd who supported jailing Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden now are upset that Trump was convicted in a court for falsifying documents to keep a story from impacting his 2016 presidential campaign.

MAGA is claiming that Biden, George Soros, Democrat radicals and the junk food media are corrupt and they vow revenge. Even Tara Reade, the Russian operative chimed in to say that Trump being convicted is wrong and she still wants Congress to investigate her sexual assault allegations. Reade is seeking asylum in Russia and if they were investigating her claims, she would have to return to the U.S., hire a lawyer and swear under oath her claims in front of Congress. She won't do it because if she perjured herself, she could be criminally charged. Besides, I believe she may face a failure to register under FARA Act.

Biden should be criminally liable for his role in giving aid and comfort to Israel.

His stance on Israel has seriously placed American influence in danger.

Trump, the so called "America First" former president is willing to shelve billions to Israel. He was the president who gave Israel full immunity and declared Jerusalem as the Israeli capital. He said he would deport any protesters who opposed Israel. Republicans are insufferable when it comes to political extremism. They claim that Biden is driving America in decline. They just literally ignore Trump's role in the Jan. 6 insurrection which gave world leaders the opportunity to ignore American influence.

Biden fell victim to the status quo. He said he wants to save the soul of the nation.

Claudia Conway is tired of her parents embarrassing themselves.

The soul of the nation is telling President Joe Biden that he needs to abandon Israel or suffer the consequences. Democrats are rightfully panicking about poll numbers.

Young voters, Black voters, Arab voters and Muslims view Biden very negatively.

Some are willing to allow Trump back in despite the potential threats he pose.

He said he wants to be a dictator on day one. Believe him.

Conway is estranged from George Conway and their daughter is no longer living with them. George and Kellyanne are considering divorce. Claudia Conway is angry with her parents because they are putting politics among her and her siblings future. She despises Trump and is not happy with Biden signing off the TikTok ban.

This week, the former Republican power couple showed little chance of reconciliation, at least politically, after Kellyanne Conway reacted to Thursday’s guilty verdict in Trump’s hush money trial by doing some whataboutism toward those danged Democrats — in particular, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“This Verdict Won’t Change One Fundamental Thing,” she wrote Friday on social media, echoing remarks she’d also made on Fox News. “It won’t make @JoeBiden any less 81 years old. [It] won’t make @KamalaHarris smarter. [It] won’t excuse the fact that @JoeBiden crushed the American Dream for so many. [It] won’t excuse the millions, including terrorists and Chinese nationals, Biden has let walk into our country.”

George Conway was one of many people who mocked her spin on Trump’s verdict, and the attorney responded with one snarky sentence: “maybe his lawyers should put these points in their pre-sentencing memo.”

Then Claudia chimed in.

"I think you forgot to add felon."

Claudia deleted her original post and stated that disagreements with her parents are normal and she still loves them.

She seriously believe her parents needs to stop helping Trump. For the sake of their family, her blossoming career and her sanity.

Claudia revealed that she wanted to emancipate herself and her sister from the home.

She said that her mom's devotion to Trump has made her a pariah among social gatherings.

He Saw A Dead Man's Body And Decided To Steal His Sex Doll!

Nebraska man faces the consequences of stealing a dead man's sex toy.

The kick off to Election 2024.

Winners and losers of 2024.

A coin flip.

So today as we celebrate the unofficial start of Summer, I want to continue the "You Can't Fix Stupid" stories.

The Smoking Gun has a weird one posted. The Drudge Report seized on the story of a funeral home worker breaking into a home of a deceased individual. He tried to take the deceased's sex doll. In 2023, the suspect was indicted and plead no contest to the crime in May.

He will be sentenced for this.

Sounds like a "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" story.

If you work for a funeral home, you have the same responsibilities as a doctor. You must treat the body with respect. Many of these individuals abuse their responsibilities by groping corpses and stealing property. Some even engage in necrophilia, which is considered a TIER III criminal act if caught. The families entrust a funeral home worker to make sure their loved ones are properly buried, cremated or solaced.

Ryan Smith, 42, was arrested in October for allegedly breaking into the Omaha apartment where the deceased man lived. At the time, Smith worked for Mid America First Call, which handles “removals, transportation, embalming, cremations, and ship-outs.”

As detailed in recent court filings, Smith and a coworker were dispatched to the Rock Creek Apartments to collect the decedent’s body. Inside the unit, a sheriff’s deputy noted, “Near the body on the bed was a very real life size version of an adult female.”

“Both of the males that came to collect the body made comments about the sex doll found on location,” according to an arrest affidavit. Smith’s initial entry into the apartment was with law enforcement personnel, who subsequently locked and secured the home.
Dolled up.

Later that day, Smith allegedly returned to the residence carrying a body bag, telling apartment complex staff that he was acting on behalf of the sheriff’s office and “wished to collect the ‘sex doll’ located inside the deceased tenant’s apartment for evidentiary purposes.” Additionally, he told workers that he was there to “collect a stretcher he claimed that was left behind.”

After Smith (seen above) was let into the apartment a second time, a management official discovered the unit’s front door was “deadbolted and latched with the chain across the door.” The complex representative confronted Smith--whose “shirt was untucked and his pants were in disarray”--and told him that no property could be removed from the dead man’s home.

As he was leaving the Rock Creek development a second time, Smith reportedly asked a janitor “when the Manager of the apartment building left.” The manager told cops that she “feared [Smith] was going to return to the complex and break in and steal the doll.”

Details about Smith’s actions are contained in a judicial order filed last week denying his motion challenging a probable cause finding that he committed attempted burglary.

A District Court judge found that Smith “unlawfully entered the apartment with a body bag, which is indicative based on circumstantial evidence, that he had the intent to take the ‘sex doll,’ an item of nominal value. Therefore, the Court finds that Defendant committed a substantial step and a course of conduct intended to culminate in the commission of burglary.”

The Midway Wrap Up!

Could it be the end of the road come November?

Well it appears to be five months in and six months to go before the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election. President Joe Biden and former president Donald J. Trump will square off again.

Okay, we made it through the first five months.

We also have the four year anniversary of the tragic death of George Floyd. The five year anniversary of the Dayton, Ohio tornado outbreak. Five years ago Trump was caught up in a scandal where had Rudy Giuliani, Lev Parnas, Igor Furman, John Solomon and Steve Bannon try to spin a scandal about Biden. Trump tried to extort Volodymyr Zelenskyy into pursuing an investigation into Biden and his son Hunter.

So instead of giving you a long reading. I am going to post the winners and losers so far this year and I hope that in the next six months we will see improvements or a total disaster.

We have hip-hop feuds between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Drake had falling outs with A$AP Rocky, Future, Metro Boomin, Rick Ross and the Weeknd.

We have hip-hop feuds between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion, Ice Spice and Latto, Chris Brown and Quavo, Eminem and Benzino and the Breakfast Club with RadioOne.

Trump had his first criminal trial which means he goes face to face with Stormy Daniels, Michael Cohen, David Pecker and Karen McDougal. Trump was convicted. He becomes the first U.S. former president to be held criminally accountable for his actions.

He will face a sentencing about the time of the Republican Party National Convention in Milwaukee.

He was ordered to pay a nearly $450 million fines which he is appealing in his financial fraud trial. He also is trying to get the Supreme Court to rule in his favor as the Jack Smith indictments pause because of Trump's ridiculous claims of immunity from crimes.

University of Michigan Wolverines despite allegations of spying on Penn State, Ohio State and University of Wisconsin's plays ended up going undefeated. The Big 10 Team finally pulled it off. Jim Harbaugh retired soon after. He is returning to the NFL to coach the Los Angeles Chargers

We have to congratulate the Kansas City Chiefs for another Super Bowl victory. The far right hates Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce and believe that she could impact the 2024 presidential election. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes signed on for another three years. The Chiefs are petitioning for a new stadium.

Joe Madison, the iconic Black entertainer and talk radio host passed away from cancer.

The loss of Madison puts a dent in Biden's outreach to Black America. Biden will bypass Ohio Republicans after they stalled his ballot access. He will be virtually nominate him before the Democratic Party National Convention in Chicago. The party is expecting to face a major backlash because of Biden and Democrats support of Israel. Trump and Republicans will face the same.

Lauren Boebert was handed a difficult path. When Ken Buck resigned from Congress, Colorado governor Jared Polis announced a special election. Boebert who is running away from her current district is caught up in scandals. Her son and ex-ex-husband are caught up in criminal charges. She embarrassingly tried to rip off a Palestinian flag from the statue of George Washington at the university of the former president's namesake and was hammered with Beetlejuice songs.

Mike Lawler, Josh Gottheimer and Jared Moskowitz are trying to punish Americans who criticize Israel. Mike Gallagher introduced the infamous TikTok ban bill which became law this year. The president signed it and it faces a potential court challenge. ByteDance refuses to sell TikTok. Many believe the ADL and AIPAC pushed for the ban because of TikTok reaching out to show the realities of the genocide caused by Israel.

Marjorie Taylor Greene couldn't gain enough support to oust Mike Johnson from his Speakership. It also sparked an ongoing feud with many Republicans. Ken Buck resigned, Mike Gallagher resigned. Bill Johnson resigned. The Republicans are considering expelling Greene if she continues to be a burden.

Taylor Swift released another hit album.

Beyonce released another hit album.

Just so I don't want to go through everything in the world, I will just tell you who the winners and losers are so far in 2024.

I'm getting winded here. I am going to just say that in the next months, we will see more death, more successes and more controversy. I am certain I'll be around for some of these times.

I am an American.

I am Black.

I am a father.

I am a human.

On behalf of LaReyna, George Cook Reports, The Angry Indian and myself, The Blue Light Buzz, we thank you for reading our blog. We enjoy your feedback and hope that you enjoy the blog.

This is your blog.

Okay enough of this. We move forward and continue to do what we do. At least until I am completely tired of blogging, I will keep you informed on what's happening.

Marian Robinson Passed Away!

Michelle Obama announced her mother's passing.

Former first lady Michelle Obama and former president Barack Obama announced the passing of Marian Shields Robinson, the president's mother-in-law.

Mrs. Robinson been with the Obamas throughout his term. She was a caretaker at the White House. She was a guiding force for Malia and Sasha, the Obamas daughters.

On election night 2008, as Barack Obama sat nervously in a Chicago hotel suite and awaited news on whether he would become the country’s first Black president, his mother-in-law was by his side.

“Are you ready for this, Grandma?” Obama asked Marian Shields Robinson, who years earlier had doubted that he and her daughter, Michelle, would last.

Six months, tops, she had predicted.

“Never one to overemote, my mom just gave him a sideways look and shrugged, causing them both to smile,” Michelle Obama wrote in her memoir, “Becoming.” “Later, though, she’d describe to me how overcome she’d felt right then, struck just as I’d been by his vulnerability. America had come to see Barack as self-assured and powerful, but my mother also recognized the gravity of the passage, the loneliness of the job ahead.”

She continued: “The next time I looked over, I saw that she and Barack were holding hands.”

Barack and Michelle wanted Mrs. Robinson to join them on their journey.

The union of Barack and Michelle Obama, the 20-something lawyers who met one summer while working at a Chicago law firm, endured and made history. In her own way, Mrs. Robinson would, too.

She died peacefully on Friday, the former first lady and her brother, Craig Robinson, and their families announced in a statement.

“There was and will be only one Marian Robinson,” they said. “In our sadness, we are lifted up by the extraordinary gift of her life. And we will spend the rest of ours trying to live up to her example.”

Besides being the mother of the nation’s first Black first lady, Mrs. Robinson was also unusual for being one of the few in-laws who lived at the White House with the president and his immediate family.

Until January 2009, Mrs. Robinson had lived her entire life in Chicago. She was a widow and in her early 70s when Obama was elected in 2008 and resisted the idea of starting over in Washington. President Obama said the family suggested she try Washington for three months before deciding. The first lady enlisted her brother to help persuade their mother to move.

Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson, former Oregon State coach mourn their mother's passing.

Marian was born in Chicago in 1937, the fourth of seven children—five girls, followed by two boys—born to Purnell Nathaniel Shields, a house painter and carpenter, and his wife Rebecca Jumper, a licensed practical nurse. Her parents later separated. Both parents had multi-racial ancestry. Her mother's grandfather, Dolphus T. Shields (c. 1860–1950), was a descendant of slavery, with his mother a slave and his white father the heir of the slaveowner; he had moved from rural Georgia to Birmingham, Alabama, where he established his own carpentry and tool sharpening business. His descendants would eventually move to Chicago during the Great Migration.

Shields married Fraser Robinson III on October 27, 1960, in Chicago. They had two children together, Craig Malcolm and Michelle LaVaughn, named after Fraser's mother. Fraser died from multiple sclerosis in 1991.

Robinson worked as a secretary for mail-order retailer Spiegel, the University of Chicago, and a bank. In the late 1960s, Shields lived with her family in a rented second floor apartment of a brick bungalow the South Side of Chicago that belonged to her aunt Robbie and her husband Terry. This is where she raised her two children, Michelle and Craig, and continued to live until she eventually moved to the White House with the Obamas. Michelle Obama, in her book Becoming, describes her mother's strong attachment to her Chicago home and her commitment to raising her children as a stay at home mother. Shields resumed work as an executive assistant at a bank when her daughter Michelle started high school.

Michelle described her mother as forthright and honest, and spoke of her implacability and her silent support as a child and beyond. Shields used to take her daughter Michelle to the library long before she started school and used to sit beside her as she learned to read and write. Usually the kind of mother who expected her children to settle their own disputes, Shields was quick to see real distress and stepped in to help when needed. For example, when Michelle was in second grade and was distressed because of being devalued by a teacher, Shields advocated for her and was instrumental in getting her daughter better learning opportunities at school. Shields encouraged her children to communicate with her about all subjects by being available when needed and giving practical advice. She entertained Michelle's school friends when they visited and enabled her to make her own choices in important matters.

Manchin Goes Independent!

Joe Schmo goes independent.

White politicians, please keep Martin Luther King, Jr.'s name out of your mouth.

Do not share anymore honors to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor or any Black victim of police violence.

Stay in your lane and avoid trying to do good by adopting Black children, encouraging us to vote for your candidates or your political parties.

I am not sure on whether I will vote for either candidate come 2024.

The aftermath of the Donald J. Trump verdict. The Republicans and the far right junk food media agitators are calling for all hands on deck. They vow to support the former president regardless. Trump was convicted of falsify documents and trying to shield embarrassing information about his encounter with Stormy Daniels from making it a liability in the 2016 election. The Republicans still are backing a man who said he will be a dictator on day one. A man who will lie and deceive voters into committing violent acts towards other Americans.

The Democrats at least hold their candidates accountable. Hell many of the progressives want American lawmakers indicted by the International Criminal Court for backing Israel in its genocide.

Hypocrisy at its finest.

Now I hear the insufferable retiring West Virginia senator Joe Manchin who is friendly with Republicans is using his final months as an independent. The Senate is likely 50-50 now that Manchin, a conservative leaning senator left the Democratic Party.
The 118th Congress is the laziest by far. Manchin is an example of it too.

Manchin, a thorn in President Joe Biden's agenda is using his last months in defiance.

He and Arizona's Kyrsten Sinema, another independent who left the Democratic Party complain that the Democratic Party is no longer willing to be bipartisan. Mind you, these idiots voted to give Israel billions to commit genocide. They can't fix roads and bridges, feed the hungry here, give shelter to the homeless here, continue to protect the status quo and embrace monuments to white supremacy (i.e. border walls, Confederate statues and refusing to give reparations to Black and Indigenous people).

Manchin has served in the Senate since 2010. He serves as chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. He said in a statement that over the last 15 years he has seen both major political parties leave their constituents “behind for partisan extremism while jeopardizing our democracy.”

Funny, protesting against Israel is extremist.

The Jan. 6 insurrection was an act of political extremism.

Holding Trump accountable is not extremism.

Protecting lobbyists and not voting with the party you aligned yourself with is political extremism.

“Today, our national politics are broken and neither party is willing to compromise to find common ground,” Manchin said. “To stay true to myself and remain committed to put country before party, I have decided to register as an independent with no party affiliation and continue to fight for America’s sensible majority.”

But his announcement left many questions unanswered. Manchin did not disclose if he will continue caucusing with Democrats in the Senate, where they hold a slim majority. And he did not indicate if he will be running for higher office in the near future.

A request for further comment from his office was not immediately returned.

Manchin announced in February that he would not be running for president, saying he didn’t want to be a “spoiler.”

“I will not be seeking a third-party run,” he said in a speech at West Virginia University. “I will not be involved in a presidential run. I will be involved in making sure that we secure a president that has the knowledge and has the passion and has the ability to bring this country together.”

The speech was billed as part of a national listening tour Manchin announced when he decided not to seek another Senate term. He told the Morgantown audience that he had no interest in being “a deal-breaker, if you will, a spoiler, whatever you want to call it.”

“I just don’t think it’s the right time,” he said then.

Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV), Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), Sen. Angus King (I-ME) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) caucus with the Democrats.

Four independent senators, a historic first.

It's A Sh*tshow!

Two term Republican House lawmaker Jake LaTurner of Kansas is out. He is fed up with Republicans acting like idiots. He is one of the youngest members to retire.

Rep. Jake LaTurner (R-KS), 36 entered politics in 2021 to do something for the constituents of 2nd Congressional District. A staunch supporter of the former president, LaTurner wanted to be a voice for Kansans who felt that his policies mattered not the Democratic incumbent.

After watching the shitshow of former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy being ousted and the threats of ousting current House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), I guess it has taken a "toll" on him.

He and many more other lawmakers are departing from the House of Representatives.

The "little guy" Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC) is no longer seeking reelection. The former House Pro Tempore who was a loyal ally of McCarthy saw frustration when House Republicans pressured Johnson on the sham impeachment inquiries into President Joe Biden. Also being bitten by a rabid Fox, not just the animal has drove him to retire.

He like LaTurner are quietly fuming at Reps. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Nancy Mace (R-SC), Jim Jordan (R-OH), James Comer (R-KY), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Byron Donalds (R-FL), Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) and numerous others causing chaos.

The 118th Congress is the laziest in history. They only came together when it comes to funding the Israeli regime in its genocide of Gaza and the West Bank. Both Republican and Democratic members surpassed the definition of insufferable.

The very fact they are willing to give billions to Israel while it violating international law and is widely condemned for its actions is very definition of cruelty and culpability.

They have passed over 60 bills so far this year. Biden laments that a Republican majority and Donald J. Trump returning to the presidency could spell disaster for Democrats.

Even if Biden does win and Democrats retake the House or hold the Senate, they will have Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) slowing down legislation. Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) have slowed down legislation and caused frustration among several members. They both are retiring. It is a waste of time to have either party in charge.

Trump has set America in decline with his rhetoric and constant disgraceful actions while in office or on the campaign trail. Biden is continuing it by holding on to the status quo.

To date, the 118th Congress that began its work on Jan. 3, 2023, has enacted a total of 64 bills, less than one-fifth of the legislation that was passed by any of the previous four Congresses. Even that sluggish pace constituted a grind.

Members described once-routine House matters that are now fraught with melodrama, from passing bipartisan appropriations bills to electing a House speaker. “The things that I’m most proud of that were the hardest to do were negotiating the debt ceiling, passing the National Defense Authorization Act and reauthorizing and reforming FISA,” Mr. LaTurner said, referring to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. With an arid chuckle, he added, “Those things would have been just normal business in the past.”

Many of the 2024 retirees echoed LaTurner’s sentiments. Few of them came to Washington expecting that performing rote tasks like keeping the government operating and maintaining America’s credit rating would amount to career highlights. Referring to this year’s bipartisan Senate immigration bill, which Speaker Mike Johnson has avoided bringing to the House floor for fear of angering the far right, former member Ken Buck lamented, “We won’t deal with the tough issues. The border is a tough issue. The Senate passed a great starting point, and we just walked away.”

Accompanying the increasingly joyless slog of governance are other mounting hardships. Since 2009, the salaries of both House and Senate members have been frozen at $174,000 — high pay for the average American but challenging for members maintaining residences in both Washington and their home districts. Aware of the low estimation in which the public holds Congress, they have repeatedly voted to deny themselves cost-of-living increases. “Sometimes you wonder if members should just wear sackcloth,”  Sarbanes said.

Though none of the 20 people interviewed for this article would acknowledge that financial considerations played into their decision to retire, one of them, Rep. Larry Bucshon, a seven-term Indiana Republican, said, “I think recruiting qualified people is getting more difficult and I do think you’re seeing some people leaving because of the pay situation.”

Another exiting member, Rep.Tony Cárdenas (D-CA) admitted, “It weighs on us, it does. And you know, Congress shouldn’t be a place where only the wealthy can serve.”

Even as Congress has become less rewarding, it has become a more dangerous undertaking. Nearly everyone interviewed had received at least one death threat in recent years, some of which had resulted in arrests.

“It’s something you have to take into consideration nowadays, that if you’re going to run you’re going to face threats,’’ said Rep. Grace F. Napolitano, 87, a California Democrat. “ If it had been that way when I first ran in 1998, my family would have been against it.”

For House Democrats, the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the Capitol represents a life-threatening nadir that has been difficult to move past. “I still experience trauma from Jan. 6,” said Rep. Ann McLane Kuster (D-NH), who said she was leaving Congress because of the cavalier attitudes of some in the GOP about the day. “I feel as though it’s impacting my ability to work with my Republican colleagues,” she said.

In contrast, Chris Stewart, the former Republican member from Utah, said Jan. 6 was not at all a factor in his decision to leave Congress. “Democrats are from Mars and Republicans are from Venus,” he said. “We fundamentally view the day differently. Honestly, it didn’t have an impact on my feelings about Congress or how I approach my job.”

Notwithstanding her decision, Kuster remains a member of the centrist New Democrat Coalition and had staked her six-term career in a purple district on being a politician who was willing to work across the aisle. Her views are common among the 20 interviewed, including many who named each other as legislators they were proud to have partnered with, like practitioners of an ancient ritual now facing extinction.

Most of them insisted that the calling remained a noble one that they would recommend to an ambitious niece or nephew, though not without caveats.

“If I’d grown up 30 years later, I don’t know that I would have made the decision I did,” said Rep. Dan Kildee (D-MI), who in 2012 won the seat that had been held by his uncle, Dale Kildee, for the previous 35 years. “Because it’s different now. You have to brace yourself for a level of anger and personal disdain that was always a part of the political world, but never at this level.”

Kildee added that he hoped for a new generation of willing legislators.

Buck concurred. “It’s important not to turn the government over to the crazies,” he said.

Guilty As F**king Sin!

July 11 is sentencing for Trump.

Damn, a former U.S. president is a convicted felon.

Donald J. Trump has a 45% chance of winning. It is a real fucked up situation for Republicans. Should they support a man who is convicted of 34 felonies?

Is this the "law and order" party?

They will defend this. Disgraceful Republicans want people of color to be held accountable for crimes. They loose their shit when the king of white privilege. Trump is very definition

Nikki Haley, you want to reenter the race?

Anyway, the presumptive Republican nominee is the first major candidate to ever be convicted of crimes against the state.

President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), Minority Leader Hakeem Jefferies (D-NY), Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Republican lawmakers, Democratic lawmakers, world leaders, far right agitators, progressive agitators, historians and you the reader are informed about the former president's conviction.

Vindication.

At 5pm, the jury in Manhattan County Superior Court had convicted Trump with falsifying documents to keep an embarrassing story from reaching the election.

Michael Cohen, Stormy Daniels, Karen McDougal and David Pecker are vindicated. The Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg proved his case that Trump lead a conspiracy of election interference.

Judge Juan Merchan set a sentencing hearing for July 11. Trump's sentence is up to the judge, and it could include prison time or probation.

Prosecutors accused Trump of taking part in an illegal conspiracy to undermine the integrity of the 2016 presidential election and an unlawful plan to suppress negative information, which included concealing a hush money payment to an adult film star.

A felony conviction of a former president or party frontrunner is unprecedented, but Trump, who is the 2024 presumptive GOP nominee, can still run for office.

Trump called the jury's decision a "disgrace" and said the "real verdict" will come during the presidential election on November 5. Biden said on social media that his 2024 rival can only be defeated at the ballot box.

The indictment, the first of a former U.S. president, was approved by a Manhattan grand jury on March 30, 2023. Trump traveled from his residence in Florida to New York City on April 3, 2023, where he surrendered to the Manhattan DA's office and was arraigned the next day. Trump pleaded not guilty and stated that he would continue to campaign for the 2024 presidential election if convicted. The trial began on April 15, 2024. On April 30, 2024, Trump also became the first U.S. president to be held in criminal contempt of court, due to comments he made earlier in the month about individuals involved with the trial.

Before, during, and after the trial, the defense made requests for the case to be delayed or dismissed, for the judge to recuse himself, and for a mistrial; these motions were unsuccessful. The prosecution argued that Trump's 2016 campaign sought to benefit from the payment of hush money to Daniels through Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen, who was allegedly reimbursed via a false retainer agreement. The prosecution rested on May 20, 2024, after calling 20 witnesses. The defense argued that Trump was unaware of any allegedly unlawful scheme, that Cohen was unreliable as a witness, and that the retainer agreement between them was valid. The defense rested on May 21, 2024, after calling two witnesses.
