Publicity stunt. The Texas National Guard standing at the Rio Grande River.
President Joe Biden is underwater in polls. His hardline stance on Israel and his handling of many issues have soured on voters. Democrats are trying to shape the focus on Donald J. Trump, Republicans and their extremist rhetoric.
Every election year where it involves the federal offices, Republicans whip up fear about crime, migrants, drug cartels, shoplifting, homeless encampments, Black teens, Muslims, China and socialism.
The former president vows political revenge and the Republicans are planning Project 2025 which ensures a permanent majority. Republicans who are not favorable politically are plotting for a change to the U.S. Constitution.
If Republicans control 35 states, they can call for a Constitutional Convention to draft amendments that could strip away already settled issues.
Trump has already called for an immediate removal of immigrants who are in the country past their legality. He wants to end birthright citizenship and repeal the Affordable Care Act. He also wants to have Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Hunter Biden, former president Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, E. Jean Caroll, Fani Willis, Rosie O'Donnell, Kathy Griffin, Chrissy Teigen, MSNBC hosts and Liz Cheney locked up.
Texas is the only state where the U.S.-Mexican border is mostly the Rio Grande River.
Portions of the border enter both sovereignities.
There are Native Americans reservations in Texas. They sit on the U.S.-Mexican border.
Texas has rugged terrain and desert. A monsoon can really affect the land and disrupt the border. If they build a border wall or disrupt nature, it could put the region at risk of devastating damage.
Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Arizona are expected to pick up a congressional district come the 2030 U.S. Census. Republicans will continue to push partisan gerrymandering despite the Supreme Court advocating for fair redistricting.
California, Arizona and New Mexico have Democratic governors. The states have Democratic senators. One senator is an independent who caucuses with the Democrats.
Democrats have concerns but not the hair on fire rhetoric Republicans been spewing.
Republican governors from Utah, Idaho, Iowa, New Hampshire, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, South Dakota, North Dakota, West Virginia, Louisiana, Arkansas, Nevada, Virginia, Tennessee, Montana, Mississippi, Wyoming, Alabama, Nebraska and Alaska back Texas governor Greg Abbott's defiance of the U.S. Supreme Court and President Joe Biden.
“We stand in solidarity with our fellow Governor, Greg Abbott, and the State of Texas in utilizing every tool and strategy, including razor wire fences, to secure the border,” read the statement, signed by almost every Republican governor.
This show of support comes as Texas has mobilized considerable resources at the U.S.-Mexico border, such as the Texas National Guard and state troopers, in an approach that has often clashed with the operations of the federal Border Patrol.
This ongoing standoff between Texas and the federal government has unfolded through a series of legal and political challenges. The state is currently embroiled in court battles over its use of razor wire and floating buoys at the border, and the controversy has fueled conflict surrounding immigration legislation in Congress.
The border is not an issue. The issue Texas should be worried about is gun violence.
Abbott continues to place razor wire, shipping containers and obstructions on the Texas land and shore line. He also continues to use the Texas National Guard to block access. Texas authorities and U.S. Border Patrol Agents continue to destroy water and food stations placed by volunteers and humanitarian workers. Abbott continues to ship migrants to New York City, Washington, DC, Chicago and Martha's Vineyard.
Former president Donald J. Trump has told Republicans to block the bipartisan bill to deal with the U.S.-Mexican border. He wants revenge and wants Republicans to deny Biden a victory.
A border wall is a monument to white supremacy. The United States and Israel have not learned from the Berlin Wall situation. It divides us. Mexico could impose sanctions and the Global South will hold America responsible for deaths. They will push for less American influence.
The border wall nonsense is a rhetoric of 19th Century propaganda. The Mexican–American War, also known in the United States as the Mexican War, was an invasion of Mexico by the United States Army from 1846 to 1848. It followed the 1845 American annexation of Texas, which Mexico still considered its territory because Mexico refused to recognize the Treaties of Velasco, signed by President Antonio López de Santa Anna after he was captured by the Texian Army during the 1836 Texas Revolution. The Republic of Texas was de facto an independent country, but most of its Anglo-American citizens who had moved from the United States to Texas after 1822 wanted to be annexed by the United States.
Texas Republicans want to declare independence from the United States. Also threats of a civil war could be invoked through the rhetoric of Trump, Abbott and Republicans.
It has been a constant propaganda grift whenever a Democratic president is in office.
A convoy of hundreds of far right extremists plans to head to the Texas border to stop migrants crossing into the country from Mexico.
The group, called "Take Our Border Back," is organizing on Telegram and now has more than 1,600 followers.
One of the group's organizers described them as "God's army" in a planning call, according to Vice.
Biden on Friday pressed Congress to embrace a bipartisan Senate deal to pair border enforcement measures with Ukraine aid, but House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) suggested the compromise on border and immigration policy could be “dead on arrival” in his chamber.
The Democratic president said in a statement late Friday that the policies proposed would “be the toughest and fairest set of reforms to secure the border we’ve ever had in our country.” He also pledged to use a new emergency authority to “shut down the border” as soon as he could sign it into law.
Biden’s embrace of the deal — and Republican resistance — could become an election-year shift on the politics of immigration. Yet the diminishing prospects for its passage in Congress may have far-reaching consequences for U.S. allies around the globe, especially Ukraine.
The Republicans could have solved the problem when George W. Bush and Donald J. Trump were in charge. They only do this nonsense when Democrats are in charge.
Why do the Democrats do worse at marketing?
Why do the Republicans use fear and xenophobia to score political points?
Come to cities in the Midwest and all you see are vacant buildings. Businesses closing up shop and folks tagging abandoned properties. With community centers closing, malls enforcing curfews, Saturday morning cartoons extinct, schools are consolidating due to budget cuts and among other issues, teens are resorting to criminal acts like the Kia Boyz and TikTok challenges.
Republicans are stripping away food aid from poor and need families. They are pushing for laws to outlaw transgender children from receiving medical care. They want to impose more stricter laws when it comes to voting. They want more Americans upset over issues that don't affect their lives. I mean crying about the border doesn't stop fentanyl from coming into the United States. Fentanyl is killing white people more than people of color. More Americans are not going to church on Sunday. Work is exhausting and more Americans are not getting rest and taking vacations.
So instead of working to solve problems, Republicans rather use their only muscle: their tongues. Their tongues are not drafting bills. It is only pandering to white nationalism.
Wait, I heard this same song and dance before and like clockwork, he will return in some fashion. The scandal that keeps on going for the losers of 2024. The WWE boss is back on in the news.
He is under federal watch for allegations of using undisclosed funds to pay off women who accused of him of sexual abuse. He and his buddy, former president Donald J. Trump have a history of being adulterers.
Vince McMahon is stepping down again from WWE and TKO Holdings.
Allegations that he pimped out women, did a fecal play on the accuser. The accuser said that he often tries to make them sign nondisclosure agreements to prevent news of his freaky behavior from being heard.
The UFC merged with the WWE. The USFL merged with the XFL. All the branding now holds under Ari Emanuel, Dana White, Dany Garcia, Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson, Paul "Triple H" Levesque and McMahon.
McMahon who is the most notable figure in the WWE is married to former Trump Small Business Administrator Linda McMahon.
Vince was known for sexually predatory behavior towards women and possibly his own daughter Stephanie McMahon-Levesque.
In January 2024, a lawsuit was filed by Janel Grant, a former employee at WWE headquarters between 2019 and 2022 against the WWE as well as TKO (by proxy of ownership). Grant alleged that the then current TKO Executive Chairman Vince McMahon, had coerced her into a sexual relationship, and, along with the WWE executive John Laurinaitis and a WWE wrestler who was also a former WWE/UFC fighter [allegedly Brock Lesner], sexually trafficked her and repeatedly sexually assaulted her during 2020–2021. Grant alleged that she was subjected to "extreme cruelty and degradation" by McMahon, including being defecated upon during a sexual encounter. Grant stated that McMahon had agreed to pay her $3 million in 2022 in return for a NDA, but stopped paying after only $1 million had been paid following the initial public emergence of the sexual misconduct allegations the same year.
Janel Grant wants other victims to come forward and finally put a nail in Vince McMahon's coffin. His reputation is similar to Donald J. Trump.
Federal prosecutors have subpoenaed McMahon, and have taken up the filing in question.
One day after the report - on January 26, 2024 - Vince McMahon resigned from TKO. In a statement, McMahon said the decision was made "out of respect for the WWE Universe, the extraordinary TKO business and its board members and shareholders, partners and constituents, and all of the employees".
In the lawsuit, Grant said McMahon paid $1 million but stopped making payments thereafter. She seeks to void the NDA along with receiving unspecified financial damages.
The 67-page lawsuit also implicated a "former UFC heavyweight champion with whom WWE was actively trying to sign to a new contract."
Grant's representatives said she wished to go public with her allegations.
"Ms. Grant hopes that her lawsuit will prevent other women from being victimized," her attorney, Ann Callis, said in a statement Thursday. "The organization is well aware of Mr. McMahon's history of depraved behavior, and it's time that they take responsibility for the misconduct of its leadership."
McMahon briefly retired from WWE in July 2022 following revelations of multiple payouts to several women connected to sexual misconduct allegations. The internal investigation conducted by an outside law firm found $14.6 million in payments by McMahon.
WWE said that November that McMahon had repaid the company, and he was soon back with the organization.
Years later, a still simmering Eminem comes after Raymond Scott, formerly known as Benzino. A little under the weather
Fuck it
Yeah
Alright, here we go
[Verse]
First I'ma shred a (What?)
Verse like I had a personal vendetta (Yeah) - Eminem has an ear to the street. He knows who attacks him and he patiently waits to address them. Machine Gun Kelly is one of Eminem's most notorious feuds by far.
Words come together like birds of a feather (What?)
'Til I need a walker like Herschel, I'm better - Diss at former football star and Republican candidate Herschel Walker.
Than all of you fuckin' little twerps put together - Dissing critics like Umar Johnson, Charlamagne tha God, Joe Budden, Candace Owens, Ben Shapiro and young listeners who said his music ain't good.
But I'm not tryna be controversial, I'd rather (Nah)
Talk about shit with the purpose that matters (Like?)
Like who had the second best verse on "Forever"? (Damn) - Reminding folks who had the best lyrics on "Forever", the single featuring Drake, Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Eminem.
Now I got a riddle (What?), one condition, you mustn't laugh (Okay)
What is the opposite of Benzino? (Uh, what?) A giraffe (Haha) - Eminem's most notorious feud. It has been over 20 years.
"Go at his neck," how the fuck is that? (Yeah) - Social media clowns on Scott for having no neck.
Eminem said the opposite of Benzino is a giraffe. It has a long neck.
How can I go at somethin' he doesn't have? (Haha) - Eminem says it's wasting his time responding to him. He also said Scott doesn't have the bars to respond. He also used the neck reference, the financial struggles he facing and the fame he will never have.
Arm so short he can't even touch his hands - Scott is 5'3".
When they're above his head doin' jumpin' jacks (Wow) - Eminem calling him out for being on steroids and cocaine.
Sorry, I don't mean (What?) to upset you, Ben' (Yeah) - Scott reacting to trolls on social media and interviews where he launches a tirade about Eminem.
When I talk about (What?) all the debt you in (Uh) - Scott's infamous feud with Coi Leray over her interview with Angie Martinez. He was upset that Coi Leray won't loan him money or give him the time of day.
I hear that you been (What?) creepin' on the low - Claims of being on the down low. Men have flirted with Scott's physical appearance and his nude pictures. He also had a fling with transwoman Shauna Brooks.
In them cheap hotels (Yeah), that they catch you in (What?) - The infamous Red Roof Inn incident where he and another man were kicked out because of noise complaints and his credit card declining.
Jesus Christ, dawg (Damn), when you said two-ten (What?) - Room 210. Second letter in the alphabet and tenth letter in the alphabet (B-J). B-J is slang for blow job. Eminem claimed that Scott and the man were engaging in sex acts like blow jobs.
Never guessed you meant (Damn) at the Red Roof Inn (Shit) - Red Roof Inn in Brookhaven is a two star hotel where many prostitutes and cruising happen.
In a room with one single bed, two men (What?) - Two men sharing a bed. Nothing wrong with it, but in Hip-Hop, questionable about sexuality.
Shady, man, you can't—, yes, you can (Shh)
Well, I guess then I regret to inform you, hate to spoil the day (What?) - Reactions to the years long rants Scott had against Eminem.
But this doesn't bring me no joy to say (Huh?)
Marshall keeps the fire burning.
Guess that Coi Leray feat's in the toilet, ayy? (Goddamn) - Coi Leray stated in a podcast she would have to ask her dad before she ever does one. Eminem mocked the fact that Scott ranted on podcasts about her album features. Nicki Minaj almost pulled after Scott leaked information about her being on the album.
Damage due to flows, collateral, I s'pose - Eminem knows it will attract attention. He also meant what he said when he doesn't give a fuck about the reactions. He made it clear in the dig at Coi Leray.
Gat-pointed like mine and Sandra Bullock's nose (Well)
Yeah, them bullet holes, have you full of those (Yeah)
You'll catch a stray like animal control, plan a funeral
I'ma probably have to plan a few neuro-
Logical exams, once again, it is off into that damn padded room I go

You probably feel like you're gonna die (Yeah)
'Cause you're in my morgue and you're tied
Up like a tight score and that's why (What?)
I'm back with Cole Bennett and I been at the level J. Cole been at - Stating that he is proud to be on the Lyrical Lemonade album and has hinted that he and J. Cole will one day collaborate on a single or album.
It's Aftermath that I ride for 'til I die - Eminem signed to Aftermath in 1998 and is currently the only talent who been with the label the longest. He also has Shady Records with acts like Bad Meets Evil, Grip, Ez Mil and [Westside] Boogie. Aftermath has Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Ez Mil and Anderson Paak. 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, The Game, Young Buck, Truth Hurts and Stat Quo were previously signed to Aftermath.
Coi Leray had also responded to Em's feud with her dad. The rapper cautiously dismissed the two and stated that she is looking forward to making an album and not getting involved in her father's controversies.
Rap beef is so washed and tired. Exhausting. Embarrassing. Just fucking over all corny as fuck. 🚮
There’s no way I’m about to entertain these grown ass men and the beef they been having for over 20years . Lmao it’s so stupid all I can do is laugh. 2 decades later ??😭😭😭😭😭 gtfoh im grown. Move along. Go Stream my shit 💋😁
I am certain that Scott will be talking about this for months. To this day, Scott blames Em, 50 Cent, Jimmy Iovine, Angie Martinez, Funkmaster Flex, Julia Beverly, Kim Osorio, Mr. Gzuz, Coi Leray, Real World Police, Althea Hart, Stevie J, Joseline Hernández, Mona Scott, NoLifeShaq, The Evolve, Crypt, DJ Vlad, Busta Rhymes, Russell Simmons, Quincy Jones III, DJ Mister Cee, Star, Angela Yee, Wendy Williams and even his old friend Dave Mays for his fucked up situations.
Scott said that no one in the hood plays Eminem's music. He said Em's music is trailer trash and his fans voted for Donald J. Trump. He said thinks Em rhymes "masturbater in the elevator" whenever he's on the mic.
Tell me:
Has anyone in the hood ever heard of a Benzino song?
Or perhaps has anyone ever played any of Benzino's music?
Former president Donald J. Trump must pay E. Jean Carroll $83.3 million in damages for defamation and the sexual assault.
It was a stinging and expensive rebuke to former Trump for his continued social media attacks against the longtime advice columnist over her claims that he sexually assaulted her in a Manhattan department store.
The award, coupled with a $5 million sexual assault and defamation verdict last year from another jury in a case brought by Carroll, raised to $88.3 million what Trump must pay her. Protesting vigorously, he said he would appeal.
Carroll, 80, clutched her lawyers’ hands and smiled as the seven-man, two-woman anonymous jury delivered its verdict. Minutes later, she shared a weepy three-way hug with her attorneys.
She declined comment as she left the Manhattan federal courthouse, but issued a statement later through a publicist, saying, “This is a great victory for every woman who stands up when she’s been knocked down, and a huge defeat for every bully who has tried to keep a woman down.”
Trump had attended the trial earlier in the day, but stormed out of the courtroom during closing arguments by Carroll’s attorney. He returned for his own attorney’s closing argument and for a portion of the deliberations, but left the courthouse a half hour before the verdict was read.
Trump smirked and insulted the judge and E. Jean Carroll.
“Absolutely ridiculous!” he said in a statement shortly afterward. “Our Legal System is out of control, and being used as a Political Weapon.”
His attorney, Alina Habba, said the verdict resulted because Trump’s opponents were suing “in states where they know they will get juries like this.”
“It will not deter us. We will keep fighting. And, I assure you, we didn’t win today, but we will win,” she said.
The trial reached its conclusion as Trump marches toward winning the Republican presidential nomination a third consecutive time. He has sought to turn his various trials and legal vulnerabilities into an advantage, portraying them as evidence of a weaponized political system.
Though there’s no evidence that President Joe Biden or anyone in the White House has influenced any of the legal cases against him, Trump’s line of argument has resonated with his most loyal supporters, who view the proceedings with skepticism.
Nikki Haley, his last major rival in the Republican primaries, said on social media Friday that the verdict meant that people were “talking about $83 million in damages” rather than fixing the border or inflation.
With the Carroll civil case behind him, Trump still faces 91 criminal charges in four indictments accusing him of trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election, mishandling classified documents and arranging payoffs to a porn star.
It was the second time in nine months that a civil jury returned a verdict related to Carroll’s claim that a flirtatious, chance encounter with Trump in 1996 at Bergdorf Goodman’s Fifth Avenue store ended violently. She said Trump slammed her against a dressing room wall, pulled down her tights and forced himself on her.
In May, a different jury awarded Carroll $5 million. It found Trump not liable for rape, but responsible for sexually abusing Carroll and then defaming her by claiming she made it up. He is appealing that award, too.
Trump stormed out during testimony.
Trump is also awaiting a verdict in a New York civil fraud trial, where state lawyers are seeking the return of $370 million in what they say were ill-gotten gains from loans and deals made using financial statements that exaggerated his wealth.
As for Trump’s ability to pay, he reported having about $294 million in cash or cash equivalents on his most recent annual financial statement, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2021. Testifying at his civil fraud trial last November, Trump boasted, “I have very little debt, and I have a lot of cash.”
Trump skipped the first Carroll trial. He later expressed regret for not attending and insisted on testifying in the second trial, though the judge limited what he could say, ruling he had missed his chance to argue that he didn’t attack Carroll. He spent only a few minutes on the witness stand Thursday, during which he denied assaulting Carroll, then left court grumbling “this is not America.”
This new jury was only asked how much Trump, 77, should pay Carroll for two statements he made as president when he answered reporters’ questions after excerpts of Carroll’s memoir were published in a magazine — damages that couldn’t be decided earlier because of legal appeals. Jurors were not asked to re-decide the issue of whether the sex attack actually happened.
In her closing argument Friday, Carroll attorney Roberta Kaplan requested $24 million in compensatory damages and “an unusually high punitive award.” The jury awarded $18.3 million in compensatory damages and another $65 million in punitive damages — meant to deter future behavior.
Kaplan urged jurors to punish Trump enough that he would stop a steady stream of public statements smearing Carroll as a liar and a “whack job.”
She noted that Trump had boasted of at least $14 billion in assets and that his brand alone is worth $10 billion.
“Donald Trump is prepared to use his wealth and power to defame people whenever he wants,” she said. “He ignored the last verdict as if it had never happened.”
Kaplan said he didn’t show up at last year’s trial when a jury determined he had sexually assaulted and defamed Carroll, but “he made sure” to attend most of this year’s trial because it focused solely on damages.
“While Donald Trump may not care about the law, while he certainly doesn’t care about the truth, he does care about money,” the lawyer said.
Big punitive damages, she told jurors, was the only way “to give Ms. Carroll a chance at a normal life again where she is not regularly bullied and humiliated by one of the most powerful men on the planet.”
E. Jean Carroll wins back her soul.
Trump shook his head vigorously as Kaplan spoke early in her summation, then suddenly stood and walked out, taking Secret Service agents with him. His exit came only minutes after the judge, without the jury present, threatened to send his attorney to jail for continuing to talk when he told her she was finished.
“You are on the verge of spending some time in the lockup. Now sit down,” the judge told Habba, who immediately complied.
Carroll testified early in the trial that Trump’s public statements had led to death threats.
“He shattered my reputation,” she said. “I am here to get my reputation back and to stop him from telling lies about me.”
She said she’d had an electronic fence installed around the cabin in upstate New York where she lives, warned neighbors of the threats and bought bullets for a gun she keeps by her bed.
“Previously, I was known simply as a journalist and had a column, and now I’m known as the liar, the fraud, and the whack job,” Carroll testified.
Trump’s lawyer, Habba, told jurors that Carroll had been enriched by her accusations against Trump and achieved fame she had craved. She said no damages were warranted after Trump’s lawyers had established that Carroll didn’t suffer emotionally from Trump’s statements and “she certainly hasn’t suffered professionally.”
To support Carroll’s request for millions in damages, Northwestern University sociologist Ashlee Humphreys had testified that Trump’s 2019 statements had caused between $7.2 million and $12.1 million in harm to Carroll’s reputation.
When Trump finally testified, Judge Lewis A. Kaplan gave him little room to maneuver after saying Trump was not permitted to revive issues settled in the first trial.
“It is a very well-established legal principle in this country that prevents do-overs by disappointed litigants,” said Kaplan, who is unrelated to Roberta Kaplan.
“He lost it and he is bound. And the jury will be instructed that, regardless of what he says in court here today, he did it, as far as they’re concerned. That is the law,” Kaplan said shortly before Trump testified.
After he swore to tell the truth, Trump was asked if he stood by a deposition in which he called Carroll a “liar” and a “whack job.” He answered: “100 percent. Yes.”
Asked if he denied the allegation because Carroll made an accusation, he responded: “That’s exactly right. She said something, I consider it a false accusation.” Asked if he ever instructed anyone to hurt Carroll, he said: “No. I just wanted to defend myself, my family, and frankly, the presidency.”
The judge ordered the jury to disregard the “false accusation” comment and everything Trump said after “No” to the last question.
Earlier in the trial, Trump tested the judge’s tolerance. When he complained to his lawyers about a “witch hunt” and a “con job” within earshot of jurors, Kaplan threatened to eject him from the courtroom if it happened again. “I would love it,” Trump said. Later that day, Trump told a news conference Kaplan was a “nasty judge.”
The International Court of Justice ruled against Israel.
Israel will defy the International Court of Justice ruling.
Republicans will defy the Supreme Court of the United States ruling.
The far right will destroy democracy if they are in charge of governing.
The ICJ ruled that Israel must take measures to ensure there will no longer be any civilian casualties and stop delaying humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip.
In a hearing, the panel of United Nations judges said the case against Israel could go ahead, recognising that some of the actions described by South Africa could fall under the genocide convention. The judges affirmed Palestinians were a protected group under the convention and issued several legally binding emergency provisions, although stopped short of calling for a ceasefire.
ICJ President, Judge Joan E. Donoghue, said that Israel must “take all measures within its power” to ensure, “with immediate effect”, that its military forces abstain from committing any acts mentioned in the genocide convention. The court also ordered Israel to preserve evidence related to alleged acts of genocide and to report back to the court on measures implemented within a month.
Citing several instances of “dehumanising language” used about Palestinians by senior Israeli officials, Judge Donoghue ordered Israel to also prevent and punish direct incitement of genocide.
Israel will defy the ruling,
The court said Israel must also take immediate measures to enable the provision of aid in Gaza, noting the deteriorating humanitarian situation.
The interim emergency measures were requested by South Africa in December when it filed its case against Israel, alleging that the country’s military offensive in Gaza constitutes state-led genocide against Palestinians.
South Africa called on the court to rule Israel “immediately cease its military operations in Gaza, take reasonable measures to prevent the genocide of Palestinians, ensure that the displaced return to their homes and have access to humanitarian assistance, including adequate food, water, fuel, medical and hygiene supplies, shelter and clothing.”
During a two-day hearing earlier in January, lawyers representing South Africa in the Hague accused Israel of conducting a military campaign that has brought Palestinian life to the edge of destruction and famine. Israel contested the charges and maintained that its actions are a legitimate self-defence response to Hamas’ terror attack on October 7, which resulted in 1,400 deaths.
Despite Friday’s interim measures, it could take years before the full case brought by South Africa reaches its conclusion.
I'll give you time to figure out what's wrong with this picture. I will give you a hint, extra digits.
Remember Donald J. Trump had said that Hillary Clinton was stealing the nomination from Bernie Sanders?
Well, it appears that the thumb is on the scale for Trump and the RNC is willing to force Nikki Haley out despite the former UN ambassador vowing to stay in.
The Republicans will push for a coronation for Trump despite other states not having a primary.
Republicans are willing to nominate a candidate who has so many flaws. His former staff (including Haley) believe he is unfit to serve again. He has criminal indictments in federal and state court. He is costing Republicans money and Trump is bleeding the party dry.
They want to sabotage President Joe Biden at all costs. Biden is facing a tough road ahead as well. His job approval is low thanks to Israel, his age, the economy and folks not seeing the benefits of his policies.
The Republicans have no plans other than scaring up voters with fear of the border, crime, transgender Americans, allegations of Biden corruption, Hunter Biden and the belief that the economy was better under Trump.
The Republicans can't even govern in the House of Representatives.
Yet, they want to reclaim power.
Trump should be banned from running for president.
1. He tried to overthrow democracy.
2. He can't handle a crisis.
3. He just can't stay focused on issues.
4. He has criminal charges against him.
Trump said he would be a dictator. He wants to arrest his political rivals. He wants to protect himself from criminal conviction and fulfill a promise to never leave once elected.
The Republican National Committee is reviewing a draft resolution that, if approved, would declare Donald Trump the party’s presumptive 2024 presidential nominee even as Nikki Haley continues to wage a vigorous campaign against the former president and frontrunner.
Nikki Haley and Ronna McDaniel.
The draft resolution, obtained by The Dispatch Thursday morning, was proposed by David Bossie, an RNC committeeman from Maryland and close Trump ally. His effort to put the national party on a general election footing behind Trump follows RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel saying after the former president defeated Haley in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary that it was time for Republicans to unite behind the frontrunner and focus on defeating President Joe Biden.
“RESOLVED that the Republican National Committee hereby declares President Trump as our presumptive 2024 nominee for the office of President of the United States and from this moment forward moves into full general election mode welcoming supporters of all candidates as valued members of Team Trump 2024,” reads a key portion of the draft resolution.
Under current RNC rules, Trump still has to win the requisite number of nominating convention delegates—1,215—to become the party’s unchallenged presumptive nominee. After the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary, Trump leads Haley in the race for delegates 32 to 17.
But passage of this resolution, possibly next week at the RNC winter meeting in Las Vegas, could begin a preemptive process of the national party working with the former president as if he had already done so. And under RNC rules, that is permissible. This resolution, even in draft form, also functions as another sign that the GOP establishment is anxious to coalesce behind Trump and put an end to a presidential primary that, after his victories in Iowa and New Hampshire, the former president looks poised to win.
Republicans dust off the old culture war playbook.
Just like ignoring a fair election, Republicans continue to threaten democracy with their refusal to accept defeat and their intentions to defy constitutional rights.
President Joe Biden is right, Republicans want to strip away rights and impose assinanine rules to our country.
The far right Republican and several Democratic lawmakers continue to dehumanize humans. They claim legitimate concerns about Biden and Donald J. Trump are just noise.
The call upon change to the status quo. Republicans continue to invest and promote ideas that are stuck on 20th Century propaganda. Most of the lawmakers who complain about the U.S.-Mexican border do not live there. Most of the lawmakers who want to ban transgender rights are probably closeted gays or trans themselves and they're just denying it. Most of these so called religious extremists are the ones found molesting children, sleeping with prostitutes and using drugs.
They use our taxpayer money to showboat.
Building a border wall is just a monument to white supremacy.
Banning rights will not stop transgender Americans from getting the necessary treatment and means of survival.
Biden may have turned off voters with his hardline stance on Israel, but he ain't trying to strip Americans their right to protest.
Israel has similar ways of dehumanizing human beings and defying law and order.
The former swimmer and far right bigot Riley Gaines had a part in Ohio's controversial bill banning transgender youth and adults from playing gender assigned sports, gender assigned restrooms and surgery.
Republicans want to be your nannies.
Ohio legislators could focus on fixing roads, highways, bridges, railroads and waterways.
They could pass a gun reform law to stop gun violence in the state. But alas, they rather focus on Ohioans who want to live their identified gender. Impose discrimination and transphobia to win over the religious extremists.
And you wonder why Ohio lost population and a crucial congressional district?
I am serious, why are conservatives obsessed with gay and transgender people?
Why are conservatives obsessed with sex?
Are they scared they might like a person who identifies as transgender?
Are they in a sexless relationship at home?
There's not enough sex in the champagne room?
Matter of fact, they probably have a family member or friend who identifies as LGBTQ.
So why can't they mind their goddamn business?
Ohio Republicans passed a bill that banned transgender girls and women from playing sports, sex changing and banning gender affirming care for children under 18.
Taking away a life or death decision which is a freedom of itself because you want to impose religious freedom.
Gov. Mike DeWine vetoed the bill, but thanks to gerrymandering and Republicans holding a majority in the Ohio statehouse, they overridden his veto.
The Ohio Senate voted 23-9 Wednesday to override Republican Gov. Mike DeWine’s veto of legislation banning gender-affirming health care for minors and preventing transgender women and girls from competing on female school sports teams.
Ohio now joins nearly two dozen other GOP-led states that have adopted similar laws after the state House also voted earlier this month to overturn the veto.
Ohio Republicans could save lives by passing gun reform. Yet, they're playing on the fears of a transkid or transwoman.
LGBTQ advocates, medical professionals and families of transgender children have largely condemned the bill, and hundreds of opponents — including the president of Ohio’s Children’s Hospital Association — testified against House Bill 68 during public hearings last year. A similar bill filed last session by Ohio House Republicans died in committee after nearly 300 witnesses submitted opponent testimony.
DeWine vetoed House Bill 68 on Dec. 29, telling reporters at a press conference that such a measure, if allowed to become law, would do more harm than good.
“Ultimately, I believe this is about protecting human life,” he said. “Many parents have told me that their child would not have survived — would be dead today — if they had not received the treatment they received from one of Ohio’s children’s hospitals.”
The measure now goes into effect in 90 days.
DeWine has so far declined to say whether he supports the bill’s restrictions on transgender student-athletes. In a 2021 statement, he said he believes the issue is “best addressed outside of government.”
Gender-affirming health care for transgender minors and adults is considered medically necessary by every major medical organization, though not every trans person chooses to medically transition or has access to care.
DeWine is only the second Republican governor to veto legislation banning gender-affirming care; the first was former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R), a former presidential candidate.
Including DeWine, only three Republican governors have vetoed bills barring transgender athletes from competing on school sports teams consistent with their gender identity.
Beyond the Legislature, access to gender-affirming health care for transgender minors and adults in Ohio is set to be heavily restricted under proposed administrative rules filed earlier this month by the state Health Department.
The proposed regulations have drawn criticism from LGBTQ rights groups and medical professionals, who say the rules would make Ohio one of the most restrictive states in the nation with respect to gender-affirming care. In a joint statement, The American Civil Liberties Union and the ACLU of Ohio said the rules could amount to a “de facto ban” on care.
An executive order signed Jan. 5 by DeWine prohibits transition-related surgeries for minors, which health care providers in the state have said are already not performed on those younger than 18.
DeWine during his Dec. 29 press conference said the notion that such surgeries are being performed on minors in Ohio is “frankly, a fallacy.”
Last year, Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) was on a tweeting spree supporting Israel's propaganda and calling protesters and fellow lawmaker Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) rabid anti-semitics. He voted to support Israel's war on Hamas and supported punishing those who criticized the country's actions.
Now he is on the list of Democratic lawmakers who could face a serious primary challenge.
After it was announced that AIPAC was spending millions to oust Democrats who voted against funding Israel, progressives vow to take on the lobbyist group and lawmakers who voted against their interests.
Torres represents the 15th Congressional District of New York, a relatively safe district. He is an Afro-Latino lawmaker and one of three openly gay Black representatives.
Torres won in 2020 and served two terms since elected.
He represents about eight square miles of The Bronx in New York City. His district has about 728,000 constituents and yet less than 100,000 voted in the general election.
Torres last year easily won his reelection.
Now a silent mission is underway to recruit candidates who can take on lawmakers like Torres and they want to send a message to him and others that genocide is the red line.
AIPAC wants “to make the statement this cycle that no one is safe from their wrath, that if you speak out, you can be targeted no matter how popular or how many cycles of incumbent you are,” said Connor Farrell, president of the progressive fundraising group Left Rising, in a phone call. “It’s extremely audacious.”

Let them know that "thoughts and prayers," "hearts going to" and "good guys with guns" are no longer acceptable and you want legislation to curb gun violence. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel. You want an immediate ceasefire and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and lawmakers avoid influence from lobbyists. Let them know you're vote matters and doing nothing will not be acceptable.
Hawai'ian senator pushes for symbolic resolutions instead of an outright end to funding for Israel's genocide. Brian Schatz and Democrats seriously believe a resolution will force Israel to come to the table.
The Democrats are feeling the presure.
Over four months into the conflict and Israel has killed over 25,000 civilians. Not to mention, they invaded Syria, Lebanon and the West Bank. Hamas has no control over there.
Yet the people who support Israel have outrage over:
1. Yemen's Houthis blocking commercial ships in the Red Sea traveling to Israel.
2. Protesting at many Holocaust museums and using the term genocide.
3. Boycotting Israel and companies that do business with them.
4. Saying "From the river to the sea" whenever they protest.
5. Confronting President Joe Biden, former president Donald J. Trump, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Democratic and Republican lawmakers at events or local affairs.
6. Blocking roads, bridges, waterways and freeways in protest of Israel's genocide.
7. Celebrities and politicians who support Palestinians.
8. Waving the Palestinian flag, wear a keffiyeh or using 🍉🇵🇸 emojis.
If anyone trolls you about condemning Hamas for Oct. 7, 2023, kindly ignore them or respectfully tell them that Israel has committed an illegal occupation of Gaza, East Jerusalem, Golan Heights and the West Bank. They shoot innocent civilians and indiscriminately bomb heavily populated areas in Gaza and the West Bank.
Will you condemn the actions of Israel if I have to condemn Hamas?
Why are you not condemning the rapes that Hamas did to Israeli women?
Why are you not condemning the attack on Oct. 7?
Do you think Hamas should eliminate the Jews?
Just like with the Mein Kampf in a child's bedroom, the terror calendar, the Hamas chemical weapons playbook, the "secret" Hamas attack plans and the underground tunnels under the al Shifa hospital, shooting women in the crotches; Israel wants to make sure you are believing everything they're telling you when it comes to their war in Gaza.
Israel has not provided any legitimate proof it has justified the assault on Gaza.
Hamas stated the reasons to why they launched their attack. They said the occupation, the illegal detention of Palestinians, the blockade, the racism, the defacing of the al Aqsa Mosque, destroying any mosques, destroying schools, destroying hospitals, killing children, killing women, forcible removal, the apartheid, raping and torturing civilians and the West refusing to break its alliance with Israel.
For one thing, Hamas is not raping women and there is no proof they done such a horrible act. It is part of the dehumanizing campaign Israel is promoting to influencers in the West. You see it when they are constantly deflecting from the images of Gaza being destroyed by American and European sponsored Israeli weapons. In their minds, they are justifying the brutal slaughter of children, women, journalists and doctors as collateral damage. Hamas stated the reasons for attack on occupation forces. It has nothing to do with the Jewish religion or Iran.
Palestinians should sue Israel for genocide and reparations.
Over 25,000 Palestinians died in the Gaza Strip and West Bank. All thanks to President Joe Biden and his refusal to cut off financial support to Israel and its military.
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) surprised me. I would have not expected her being on board with the 47 Democrats and two independents. The Democrats rebuked Israeli fascist Benjamin Netanyahu by announcing a proposal for a two state solution.
Although symbolic, it is a strong rebuke to Israel's rejection of the two state solution.
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and that oaf, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) opposed it.
Fetterman is the progressives biggest disappointment. Like I said, had they supported Conor Lamb, they wouldn't be stuck with this moron. The former lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania touted himself as a progressive and populist. Now as he got into his first two years as a senator, he won praise from white nationalists. The far right has praised his bullshit.
Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI) introduced the amendment text shortly after Netanyahu vehemently rejected any statehood for Palestinians at war’s end. His far-right government has contended a two-state solution would compromise Israel’s security, and Netanyahu said this month he told President Joe Biden as much.
“I told this truth to our friends, the Americans, and I also blocked the attempt to impose a reality that would harm Israel’s security,” Netanyahu said at a news conference. “The prime minister needs to be able to say no, even to our best friends.”
Schatz said Israel’s stance “accelerated” Democrats’ efforts to reaffirm American leaders’ support of a two-state solution. Dozens of House Democrats have also signed a similar letter.
“What this does is tell people that there is hope for a peaceful and prosperous and healthy future,” Schatz said in a call with reporters, per Axios. “It’s a message to Israel, but it’s also a message to Palestinians ... it’s a message to the world that the only path forward is a two-state solution.”
Biden has expressed hope that his White House will be able to negotiate with Israel to end the conflict in Gaza, saying there were “a number of types of two-state solutions.”
Biden has not spoken to Netanyahu much since Oct. 7. He has pushed for minimal civilian casualties and legitimate proof that Hamas has committed war crimes. He was embarrassed after he literally made the claim he saw images of beheaded babies. The intelligence from Israel is bullshit.
The United States did condemn the Israeli strike on a UN-sanction facility that had displaced Gazans.

When Trevor Noah retired from The Daily Show it left a huge void. It appears that Paramount Global announced they have resigned Jon Stewart to hosting The Daily Show. Almost 10 years ago, Stewart retired.
He will return to hosting on Mondays during the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election. Knowing that the likelihood of a rematch between President Joe Biden and former president Donald J. Trump, The Daily Show needs a host who can hit 'em hard.
Oh by the way, Arby's, you know Jon's back.
Stewart, who returns as the 2024 presidential election season heats up, will also executive produce the show and work with a rotating line-up of comedians who will helm the program the rest of the week, Tuesdays through Thursdays.
“Stewart is the voice of our generation, and we are honored to have him return to Comedy Central’s ‘The Daily Show’ to help us all make sense of the insanity and division roiling the country as we enter the election season,” Chris McCarthy, chief executive of Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios, said in a statement.
“In our age of staggering hypocrisy and performative politics,” McCarthy added, “Jon is the perfect person to puncture the empty rhetoric and provide much-needed clarity with his brilliant wit.”
Stewart gained acclaim hosting “The Daily Show” for his sharp humor which was deployed to deliver stinging — and hilarious — monologues often aimed at exposing the hypocrisy of politicians.
With the 2024 election featuring Joe Biden and Donald Trump, Stewart is likely to have no shortage of material to work with. Stewart has been a strong critic of Trump and will undoubtedly use the platform to needle the former president.

Building a border wall is just a monument to white supremacy.
Israel has similar ways of dehumanizing human beings and defying law and order.
The Supreme Court ruled that the state of Texas cannot place razor wire and obstruction devices to the border. It violates the treaties that the U.S. and Mexico agreed to. It violates the sovereignty of Mexico and interferes with the government's duty to protect lives and allow refugees to seek shelter.
Gov. Greg Abbott vows to defy the ruling and even dares Biden to stop him.
This 5-4 vote granted the Biden administration's request to vacate the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals' injunction in a case involving razor wire placed along Texas' border with Mexico.
The move paves the way for federal officials to remove the wire.
Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh dissented.
These idiots are supposed to be constitutional lawyers.
Texas has maintained that it needs to act on the border because the federal government has failed to stem the tide of migrants crossing from Mexico.
Abbott launched a controversial state-led, border security effort called "Operation Lone Star" in 2021. Since then, Texas has installed razor wire, a floating barrier in the Rio Grande, and added thousands of Texas state troopers and National Guard soldiers to patrol parts of the state's 1,254 mile long border with Mexico.
Earlier this month, the Biden administration turned to the Supreme Court over the installation of razor wire on the northern banks of the Rio Grande in Eagle Pass. That came after the state sued the administration in October, claiming federal agents were destroying state property and preventing Texas National Guard and Department of Public Safety officers from securing the border.
A federal judge ruled in the Biden administration's favor, but the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals later decided the judge misunderstood a law that spells out what the federal government can be sued for.
On Monday, the Supreme Court sided with the Biden administration, allowing federal agents to cut through portions of the wire if they deem it necessary.
Republicans now want to declare independence from the United States aka Texit. Good luck on that. Cause they would have to lose their access to federal funding, citizens would be required to have a passport to enter the other states, they would owe the United States a lifetime of money for services.
Former president Donald J. Trump eeked out a win in the New Hampshire primary.
Trump won New Hampshire’s primary on Tuesday, seizing command of the race for the Republican nomination and making a November rematch against President Joe Biden feel all the more inevitable.
The result was a setback for former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, who finished second despite investing significant time and financial resources in a state famous for its independent streak. She’s the last major challenger after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis ended his presidential bid over the weekend, allowing her to campaign as the sole alternative to Trump.
Trump’s allies ramped up pressure on Haley to leave the race before the polls had closed, but Haley vowed after the results were announced to continue her campaign. Speaking to supporters, she intensified her criticism of the former president, questioning his mental acuity and pitching herself as a unifying candidate who would usher in generational change.
“This race is far from over. There are dozens of states left to go,” Haley said, while some in the crowd cried, “It’s not over!”
Trump, meanwhile, can now boast of being the first Republican presidential candidate to win open races in Iowa and New Hampshire since both states began leading the election calendar in 1976, a striking sign of how rapidly Republicans have rallied around him to make him their nominee for the third consecutive time.
With easy wins in both early states, Trump is demonstrating an ability to unite the GOP’s factions firmly behind him. He’s garnered support from the evangelical conservatives who are influential in Iowa and New Hampshire’s more moderate voters, strength he hopes to replicate during the general election.
Not even Judge Judy can save Nikki Haley.
Trump posted especially strong results in the state’s most conservative areas, while Haley won more liberal parts. The only areas in which Haley was leading Trump were in Democratic-leaning cities and towns such as Concord, Keene and Portsmouth.
On the Democratic side, Biden won his party’s primary but had to do so via a write-in effort. The Democratic National Committee voted to start its primary next month in South Carolina, but New Hampshire pushed ahead with its own contest. Biden didn’t campaign or appear on the ballot but topped a series of little-known challengers.
Trump’s early sweep through the Republican primary is remarkable considering he faces 91 criminal charges related to everything from seeking to overturn the 2020 presidential election to mishandling classified documents and arranging payoffs to a porn actress. He left the White House in 2021 in the grim aftermath of an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol led by his supporters who sought to stop the certification of Biden’s win. And Trump was the first president to be impeached twice.
Beyond the political vulnerabilities associated with the criminal cases, Trump faces a logistical challenge in balancing trials and campaigning. He has frequently appeared voluntarily at a New York courtroom where a jury is considering whether he should pay additional damages to a columnist who last year won a $5 million jury award against Trump for sex abuse and defamation. He has turned these appearances into campaign events, holding televised news conferences that give him an opportunity to spread his message to a large audience.
But Trump has turned those vulnerabilities into an advantage among GOP voters. He has argued that the criminal prosecutions reflect a politicized Justice Department, though there’s no evidence that officials there were pressured by Biden or anyone else in the White House to file charges.
Trump has also repeatedly told his supporters that he’s being prosecuted on their behalf, an argument that appears to have further strengthened his bond with the GOP base.
