Feds Looking Into Death Of Natasha McKenna!

Natasha McKenna's death in police custody sparked controversy.

The U.S. Department of Justice along with Virginia authorities are looking into misconduct at a Fairfax County lockup. The sheriff Stacey Kincaid released a video showing lockup officers subduing and using a stun gun on a mentally ill woman.

That woman was named Natasha McKenna. The Black Lives Matter activists were on Twitter hashtagging #NatashaMcKenna all day.

So I decided to do some research into the matter. And I found the story really troubling.

Matter of fact, it eerily the Sandra Bland tragedy.

The release of this video may put some officers on ice. The investigation into improper misconduct has gotten the social media talking. Matter of fact, the officers who restrained her face no charges.

Back in February, McKenna was shocked four times while she was restrained by several officers at the lockup. She stopped breathing minutes later and was transported to an area hospital, wher she died after five days.

The video, Kincaid starts by exonerating the officers involved, noting that the criminal investigation is over.

In the video, she speaks and then it's followed by a struggling McKenna surrounded by officers, who accused the woman of smearing her bodily fluids and feces all over the cell.

The officers dressed in biohazard suits can be heard saying to her to "stop resisting". And some were shouting "hold still" several times.

The Commonwealth Attorney for Fairfax County, Raymond F. Morrogh, called the death, "unfortunate" but concluded that the officers involved were justified in their use of force and will not face charges in this event.

McKenna was arrested and charged with assaulting an Alexandria police officer in January.

The lockup banned the use of stun guns in the wake of this tragedy. They also reassigned workers and shuffled the deck a bit. This new group will be solely involved in the safety of mentally ill interns.

They will aid in the treatment of all interns with mental illness.

Carly Fiorina Pissed Trump Referred Her To A Horse!

Carly Fiorina is pissed about Trump's "look at that face" comment.

The front runner Donald Trump still leading in the polls. Matter of fact, he sweeps over 35% in the national polls. While Ben Carson is polling in second at a healthy 15%, the rest of them are in the dust.

Carly Fiorina is the third place candidate in national polls. She is polling at 9% with Ted Cruz on the tail end with 8%.

Trump so far survived the pledge. The Republican Party warned Trump not to go third party or independent in his quest for the White House. They made him and the 16 other candidates sign a oath not to destroy the eventual nominee.

Trump survived the immigrants are rapists comment. He survived the POW comments about John McCain. He survived the debate. He survived the Megyn Kelly fiasco.

Will this be the nail in the coffin?

When Fiorina succeeded in the baby table debate on that network, her stock rose favorably. The second tier debate didn't bold well for a handful of candidates. Rick Perry, Lindsey Graham and Bobby Jindal, the most fiercest critics of Trump are nosediving into Rick Santorum territory.

Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, Rand Paul, and Scott Walker are barely getting the attention that Trump has gotten. Matter of fact, they are dropping fast!

Trump sucked most of the air out of the room. The junk food media and conservatives are starting to warm to Trump. The Donald is considered a serious candidate.

As for substance, he lacks that. He's basically bombastic and repetitive. Some are starting to notice.

Fiorina is one of them.

She knocked him earlier for that. Trump finally responded back to her attack on him.

In a Rolling Stone article as reported by The Hill, Trump went right into it.

"Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?" Trump reportedly bellowed while watching his Republican presidential rival on the news.

"I mean, she's a woman, and I'm not s'posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”

LA Times mocks Trump's feuds with Megyn Kelly and Carly Fiorina.

Fiorina responded to Trump’s remarks late Wednesday on “The Kelly File” on that network, saying that “Maybe I'm getting under his skin a little bit because I am climbing in the polls.”

She added that the comments “speak for themselves.”

Trump is no stranger to accusations of sexism.

Most recently, the real estate mogul found himself in a prolonged feud with Fox News host Megyn Kelly after she brought up a few of his past remarks — mainly directed at Rosie O’Donnell — during the first GOP debate.

Trump responded by suggesting Kelly’s line of questioning was the result of menstruation. He later followed that up by retweeting a supporter who referred to Kelly as a "bimbo."

Trump knocked Fiorina for her looks. He basically said "look at her face".

Many pundits suggested that Trump called Fiorina a horse.

Trump responded back by saying he didn't take a shot at her looks. He knocked her for being a poor choice of candidate.

Cincinnati Fires Police Chief Jeffery Blackwell Out The Cannon!

Cincinnati fired top cop after allegations of misuse of power came forth.

The Cincinnati city manager Harry Black loaded the chief of the police in and let the cannon fire.

Jeffery Blackwell was fired out the cannon Tuesday. He was given a vote of no confidence.

Cincinnati seen an increase in gun crimes. There's a rise in property thief. The junk food media gave negative coverage to three events under his watch. The riot at Fountain Square, the death of Officer Sonny Kim and the Sam DuBose shooting were the factors to his cannon firing. The city leaders said that he has lacks the motivation of leadership.

John Cranley was not a happy camper to hear that the city wasn't prepared during the All Star Game.

Matter of fact, Blackwell was embarrassing the city. It's almost similar to the antics of Milwaukee County sheriff David Clarke. The antics were so bad, cops were waiting for that cannon firing.

Armed with two blistering reports on the department's morale and the chief's leadership, City Manager Harry Black portrayed the chief as a poor manager who belittled his staff and broke department rules. He said Blackwell badgered underlings for free tickets to sporting events, improperly approved overtime for his favorite officers and treated other staff members so badly they sought psychological counseling.

Through it all, Black said, the chief tried to burnish his own image at the expense of his officers and his department, most notably when officers accused him this summer of stopping to take selfies with passersby during the funeral procession of fallen officer Sonny Kim.

Blackwell threatens to retaliate against Cranley and Black by filing a lawsuit against the city.

NYPD Gave James Blake A Concrete Sandwich!

NYPD will investigate the grand slam of James Blake.

Retired tennis star James Blake was mistaken for an identity thief. He tasted concrete after five plainclothes officers saw a Black guy who happens to be like the suspect.

Blake was slammed hard on the ground, handcuffed, and restrained for up to 15 minutes.

He got cuts and bruises from this encounter.

Blake left a Manhattan hotel when the law made this move. This move will have them in freezer pending a cannon firing or disciplinary action.

"It was definitely scary and definitely crazy," Blake told the paper.

A spokesperson for the New York Police Department said detectives were investigating fraudulent purchases of cell phones at the Grand Hyatt in midtown. They set up a sting operation to see who the phones -- purchased on a stolen credit card -- were being delivered to.

New York Police Department have over 1,400 plains clothes officers in the five boroughs. The actual number or members is classified. They are often handling clandestine investigations. 

The NYPD says the delivery man fingered Blake as one of the suspects he'd previously delivered phones to, and that's when the officers charged. After detaining Blake for about 15 minutes at around noon, officers checked his ID, realized their mistake and let him go.

"Today James Blake was detained by police in midtown Manhattan in regards to an ongoing investigation into fraudulently purchased cell phones, after being misidentified by a cooperating witness," the spokesman said. "Once Blake was properly identified and found to have no connection to the investigation, he was released from police custody immediately. In regards to the alleged improper use of force, the Police Commissioner directed the internal affairs bureau to investigate."

Asked if this could be a case of racial profiling, Blake told the New York Daily News, "You'd think they could say, 'Hey, we want to talk to you. We are looking into something.' I was just standing there. I wasn't running," Blake told the newspaper. "It's not even close [to being OK]. It's blatantly unnecessary. You would think at some point they would get the memo that this isn't OK, but it seems that there's no stopping it."

"I don't know if it's as simple as that. To me it's as simple as unnecessary police force, no matter what my race is. In my mind there's probably a race factor involved, but no matter what there's no reason for anybody to do that to anybody."

He said he wants the officers to face some sort of punishment "so they know it's not okay to go out there and do this again tomorrow."

A contact listed on Blake's website said the tennis star would likely be making a public announcement on Thursday, but declined further comment.

By the way, Raymond Kelly, the ex-top cop wrote a book about how the NYPD handles business.

Palin: Black Lives Matter Activists Are Dogs With Fleas!

The word vomit of the infamous former governor of Alaska. The One America Network host goes to Washington with Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to protest the Iranian nuclear deal.

The former half-term governor took a pot shot at Black Lives Matter. She referred to the activists as anti-police "attack dogs" and stood firm with the notion President Barack Obama created this.

Some look at the comment as coded.

“Oh, and you know, since our president won’t say it, since he still hasn’t called off the dogs, we’ll say,” Sarah Palin said. “Police officers and first responders all across this great land, we’ve got your back, we salute you! Thank you, police officers!”

The racist right blame the activists for the death of police officers.

Palin didn't endorse Trump or Cruz yet. But she sure is a fan of them.

Trump And Cruz: Do You Want Wine With Your Cheese?

The controversial pair head to steps of the Capitol with the half term governor, a washed up celebrity television star, and two right wing agitators to plead to the Republicans to kill the Iranian nuclear proposal.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Donald Trump are currently running for the nomination. They are doing their best to keep the agitation going. Joined with them, Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson and the three morons: Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and Mark Levin.

Each of these agitators were just as bombastic as the two clowns running for president.

Trump hasn't turned birther on Cruz. The controversial senator is born in Calgary, Manitoba. He is born to an American mother and Cuban father in a foreign country. Yes, Canada is a foreign country.

Trump still leads in the field. Ben Carson is in second place and Cruz is either tied in third or fourth with Carly Fiorina.

Cruz is an unaccomplished politician who pisses off Republican leaders. His combative and unabashed principles are what's destroying the remaining amounts of bipartisanship in Washington.

Many Republicans quietly and sometimes loudly mock him for being a "pain in the ass." House Weeper John Boehner (R-OH) once told some his buddies that Cruz needs to "shut the fuck up".

This has brought his stock up. He was in eighth place. The Kim Davis fiasco and this event may inspire the extremist to support him. He surged to top-tier standings.

The Tea Party Patriots (the group responsible for aiding insurgent candidates) hosted this event.

The Republican rally is the last ditch attempt to keep focus on opposing an already settled matter.

The matter is done. Republicans once again are on the losing side of the debate.

The president won the month yet again. President Barack Obama worked during his August break to wrangle up most of the Democrats. He managed to get 42 out of 46 Democratic senators (include independents Angus King and Bernie Sanders) to block any Republican counter proposal or resolution blocking the Iranian deal.

The Republicans didn't even read the proposal. All the Republicans done during the 60 day period was take a vacation.

This comes on the heels of the conservative outrage at Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's social media outburst. They are outraged that Khamenei went to Twitter to blast Israel and Republicans for threatening his country. He said that Israel won't last for longer than 25 years if they attack his country.

The president had called Iranian president Hussan Rouhani in 2013. He wanted to make a deal with the Iranian president. He told him that if they would cease the nuclear enhancement, the United Nations will lift the sanctions.

I won't be able to fit all the nuts in but I will say that Trump, Cruz, Palin, Beck and Levin were the headliners. Also Phil Robertson, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-TX), former lawmaker Michele Bachmann, and Breitbart agitator Joel Pollak were in featured speakers.

Freddie Gray's Family Rather Have Indicted Cops Jailed Than The Money!

Baltimore settles with family of Freddie Gray.

Baltimore paid the family of Freddie Gray $6.4 million in damages. Many conservatives are outraged at state prosecutor Marilyn Mosby and mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake for this.

They believe Freddie Gray injured himself and the six officers indicted are innocent of his death.

They believe Black Lives Matter, President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party is anti-cop, anti-White and anti-whatever.

This punitive damages of $6.4 million will resolve all civil claims related to his arrest and death. The payout needs approval from the city's spending panel and that OK is expected to come tomorrow.

Once granted, the money would be doled out over a two-year period. A statement from Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake's office says that the settlement "should not be interpreted as a judgment on the guilt or innocence of the officers facing trial." Rather, the city's decision to accept civil liability in the case was done to avoid the cost of a court battle that could have ultimately cost taxpayers much more.

The Sun reports on the magnitude of the settlement: Since 2011, the city has only paid out sums in excess of $200,000 six times; there were a total of 120 claims made in that period related to alleged police brutality, and the Grays' settlement is just slightly larger than all of those combined.

The family would rather see these six officers fired and indicted on the second degree murder charge.

For you see, Freddie Gray suffered a broken neck. The law didn't act on screams of pain. The law didn't think his life mattered.

This death sparked a few days of unrest in Baltimore.

The impact caused the racist right to develop the notion that Democrats advocate for racial unrest.

The left also called to question Republicans failed leadership and their negative influence on equal treatment of suspects.

Many in the Black Lives Matter movement argue that criminals are often treated differently based on race.

Freddie Gray, Walter Scott, Sandra Bland, Taylor Christian, Sam DuBose, Michael Brown, John Crawford, Tamir Rice and many others suffered death at the hands of law enforcement.

Baltimore is well on pace to having over 300 gun related deaths this year alone. The problem isn't the Black people, the law or lawmakers. The problem is access to firerarms. The state has lax gun laws that give owners the opportunity to use them in criminal acts. It's not a partisan issue, but a polarizing issue for gun control or strict background checks.

Gun crime is the biggest threat in America. NO ONE IN WASHINGTON BELIEVES THAT!

That's why we're seeing so many events like this happening.

Dennis Greene Passed Away!

The doo wop group The Sha Na Na's have been a dominant force in the late 1960s to now.

A member of the group who has ties to my community passed away over the weekend. World News Today send our condolences to the family of Dennis Greene.

Born as Frederick Greene, he was an American singer who was a member of Sha Na Na who were formed in 1969 at Columbia University in New York as the Columbia Kingsmen. The name change to Sha Na Na occurred because of another group with a similar name, which was known for the song Louie Louie.

The television show Sha Na Na aired from 1978 to 1981. Greene choreographed most of the moves for the show, on which he was known simply as Denny. Denny was portrayed in the series as the most intelligent member of Sha Na Na. He sang lead in the song "Tears on My Pillow" when he appeared with Sha Na Na in the movie Grease, in 1978.


He was born in New York City and took up studies in legal affairs. On the sidelines he was the principle member of the group.

Greene graduated from Yale Law School, he worked as Vice President of Production and Features at Columbia Pictures. Following that, he was President at Lenox/Greene films. He has taught at Florida A&M University and the University of Oregon, as well as being a visiting professor at several other universities including Ohio State University, Seton Hall University, and the University of Connecticut.

Greene also served on the board of directors for the Society of American Law Teachers and is listed in Who's Who Among African-Americans.

From December 2007 until his death, Greene was a Professor of Law at the University of Dayton School of Law, teaching classes such as Torts, Entertainment Law, and Constitutional Law.

Greene died in Columbus, Ohio on September 5, 2015.

Kim Davis: Out On Bail Bitches!

Kim Davis, Rowan County Kentucky clerk ordered out. By federal order, she is to not interfere with marriage licenses. Davis vows to meddle.

The controversial Kentucky county clerk who refused to marry gay couples was ordered out of lockup today. After spending the Labor Day weekend in the county lockup, the federal judge said it's wrap.

U.S. Federal judge David Bunning ordered an immediate release of Kim Davis.

The clerk may soon be out of lockup by 5pm.

The order comes with a price. She cannot interfere with clerks willing to issue licenses. I am guessing she will defy the order and be put back in the lockup.

This issue came forth after she stood on religious grounds to block marriage licenses to three gay couples and two straight couples.

She admits that her Christian faith would not allow her to marry couples. Being a government. Defying a Supreme Court ruling, the Rowan County clerk had become a much talked about issue. The racist/religious/stupid right has gathered to the jail to do a protest rally for Davis.

Davis even got support among the clowns running for the nomination. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee will seek her endorsement. They plan on visiting the jail for moral support and votes.

Huckabee will be in Ashland, KY to rally supporters.

The Liberty Counsel has aided her legal defense and argued that the government went too far in jailing her.

Now this has set a rebellion of judges, county clerks and state workers willing to be jailed for refusing marriage licenses to couples.

This impact may spark the rise of the religious extremists who dominated the 1990s. The legacy of Jerry Falwell continues. Falwell was a dominate force in the religious right. He made Republicans and some Democrats take pledges to vow a Christian agenda. This pledge stands with many lawmakers. Pat Robertson and Franklin Graham are the living embodiment of religious extremism.

Davis is a registered Democrat by the way. The Democratic Party denounced her.

The release will assure that she will once again meddle in this. She will likely stand defiant in this.

Handicapping U.S. Senate Race!

Republicans will likely keep their hold on the Senate.

This has been a very unproductive year for the Republican-led Congress. The House and Senate have spent a majority of their time trying to oppose the president's policies and repealing the laws created from the previous sessions.

They are officially back to work. They got a highway spending bill to pass. They got to pass a budget for the fiscal year. They have to raise the debt ceiling. They have to authorize the president's military action to fight against the Islamic State. They also have to decide on the Six Power resolution on Iran.

The Republicans have signaled opposition to the Iranian deal. They have promised to pass a temporary stop gap bill for highway funding. They want to repeal the healthcare law. They want to cut funding to Planned Parenthood. They want to pass the reactionary Kate Steinle law.

President Barack Obama promised to veto any legislation that goes against his agenda.

So far the job approval of Congress is 13%. The leadership of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) have been dismal at best.

By far, Republicans are fucked. The longtime lawmakers fear they may be usurped by insurgents.

Could the insurgents retake Congress once again?

Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) vows to beat Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL). The double amputee veteran could win. She could be the first Asian American woman from the state to be a senator.

My best thoughts on the U.S. Senate race include the ones the junk food media will focus on.

So far I count this as unpredictable. It's a matter of anti-establishment or anti-politician. It's a focus rather on Obama fatigue or the inept Republican led Congress.

The races so far are handicapped by SAFE, LIKELY, LEAN or TOSS UP.

Anything I say doesn't matter. I don't control the mind of a voter. But I will tell you that the Republicans have to the most seats up for grabs. The Democrats have the most to defend.

So far, if the elections were today, Republicans would retain seats and earn two. Democrats would retake two and retain most of their seats.

I can't predict the outcome but I guarantee that most of these candidates will survive an election. A few of them might have an insurgent challenger in the primaries. But who knows?

The most competitive races I predict will be Nevada, Florida, Ohio, Colorado, Illinois and Wisconsin.

These seats were won by Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012. Four states are controlled by Republicans governors: Nevada, Florida, Ohio, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

Colorado is controlled by a Democratic governor.

Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) the most vulnerable Democrat running for the senate.

Ron Johnson and Mark Kirk are the most vulnerable Republicans in this race. They have the most to fear because of the state's political leans. Scott Walker who is running for president has terrible job approval in his state. His bid for president could be an anchor for Johnson. Matter of fact, there could be a federal probe into Walker's office. Wisconsin voters are unpredictable. They have voted for Walker three times. He survived. Could Johnson survive?  He will likely face the former senator Russ Feingold. The Democrat was defeated in the insurgent wave. Feingold is considering another challenge against his old nemesis.

Kirk on the other hand has the most to lose. Kirk holds on the old seat once held by then senator Barack Obama. Kirk had an opportunity to retire when he suffered a stroke. But he held on to the seat. He also said some offensive things about fellow senator (presidential candidate) Lindsey Graham (R-SC). Kirk has to deal with the most competitive challenger the Democrats lined up. Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) has signaled her intention to run. She like Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) have both served in the Iraqi War. She is a double amputee who won against an insurgent in 2012. She easily won her seat in 2014. The Democrats hope that she could built enough support to take on well funded Kirk.

Michael Bennet is the most vulnerable Democrat in the race. Bennet survived an insurgent challenge the first time, but could he face another one? Colorado Republicans have embraced weed legalization and a more stern stances to immigration. Insurgent Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) who faced him will likely sit it out. But the only candidate I can see willing to challenge Bennet is former secretary of state Scott Gessler. It's a toss up. Gessler's history could be a potential problem. Also the only Republican confirming a run is Darryl Glenn. He is an El Paso County commissioner. He has little name recognition.

Ohio's Rob Portman hasn't lost an election. He may face former Democratic governor Ted Strickland in this race. Portman is well funded and his job approval is decent here. John Kasich's run for president and his job approval may inspire Republicans to vote likely for Portman. He is one of the few Republicans to endorse marriage equality. He is also a political moderate who works with Democrats at some point.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is retiring. He is part of the gridlock machine that kept Congress at record low job approval. His retirement is a good thing for Washington. It's a bad thing for Democrats. They have a real good fight on them. They have to line up a candidate to take on the potential Republican. No candidate inspires me. Talk radio agitator Wayne Allan Root is too extreme. Shannon Angle is too dumb. Democrats are corrupt in Nevada. Who knows?  We'll see if there's a candidate willing to take the seat.

Florida's Marco Rubio decided to run for president. He can't be on the ballot twice. So he opt out for retirement to focus solely on the presidential run. He has nothing to lose. He may win the nomination. But then again, he may be a potential veep candidate. He, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) have chosen to take the gamble of being relatively unaccomplished politicians running for the nomination. Rubio's job approval is bad in Florida. The Republicans have to scramble to find a candidate willing to defend the seat. Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-FL), a conservative leaning Democrat has signaled a run for the seat. I don't see any inspiring Republican challenger. The state is a toss-up for two reasons. Florida is a major swing state. Rick Scott sucks as a governor and his job approval could hurt the Republican nominee. Freshman insurgent Rep. David Jolly (R-FL) has signaled his intentions for the U.S. Senate seat. He recently won after Bill Young died.

Sen. Rand Paul is running for president and as a senator. Donald Trump put his bid in jeopardy. The people of Kentucky have soured upon Paul for his inept actions. He hasn't accomplish much as a senator and they're likely to reward him another term. But he may face a primary challenger if he opts out the presidential bid for the senate. Paul is an insurgent candidate who's got the most to lose. If he fails to get the nomination, he will continue his bid for the senate. As Trump said, why would Kentucky be willing to take a candidate who has failed!

Sen. John McCain from Arizona is by far the most annoying of the establishment. He will face a likely challenger from the right. He beat J.D. Hayworth in a primary fight in 2010. Trump mocked McCain on his status as a POW. McCain mocked Republicans for taking a tough stance on immigration. Trump used that as an advantage as well as his failed bids for president. His former running mate Sarah Palin will not endorse his bid. While the state is leaning as a swing, it's still has strong Republican hold. McCain running could be a safe bet. But given his standings with the party establishment and his inconsistent stances on issues, he could be beaten. Arizona will be a likely Republican hold.

Bad Blood: Georgia Sons Tried To Murder Parents!

Two brothers tried to murder their parents. The law put them in lockup.

I guess it's going to be awkward at these family reunions. Two suburban Atlanta men are held in the county lockup for attempted murder. The attempted murder of their parents. 

Damn, why would you murder the parents? Were you guys loosing the allowance?

Anyway, here's the rundown of the situation. The brothers Cameron and Chris Ervin both got charges out the ass. They attacked their parents after a heated dispute. 

Yvonne Ervin called 911 Saturday morning and reported that she and husband Zachary were being attacked in their own home.

The perpetrators, she told police, were their own children. They were giving their parents a five finger knuckle roll alongside a toe jam side order.

"(Yvonne Ervin) stated to our 911 operator that her sons were trying to kill her and her husband," Gwinnett County Police Sgt. Rich Long told CNN.

But quick thinking from both mother and father enabled Yvonne to briefly escape from their sons long enough to call for help.

"(Yvonne Ervin) told the 911 operator that (her husband) had distracted the sons and that she was able to call," said Long. "That was probably the life-saving move from this event."

When police arrived at the Ervin family home in suburban Snellville northeast of Atlanta, "Zachary came out of the garage and collapsed," said Long. "He had a lot of head and body injuries from blunt force trauma and stab wounds on his back." Zachary Ervin was hospitalized in critical condition. Long said he and Yvonne are expected to survive.

Brothers got angry at parents. They tried to murder them.

Police said the sons -- both of whom lived at home with them, according to CNN affiliate WSB -- were at the house when officers arrived, and the two were immediately arrested.

As brutal as the attack on the parents was, that wasn't the full extent of it, according to police. The sons also plotted to burn the home down, and had "introduced natural gas into the house," Long said.

Christopher (age 22) and Cameron Ervin (age 17) have each been charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault and two felony counts of first degree arson, according to Long. Under Georgia state law, 17-year-olds are considered adults in criminal cases, so both will be tried as adults, said Long, who added that investigators still don't know of any motive.

"There is no official motive at this point, but there has to be something more to this. I'm sure they didn't just wake up and decide to kill their parents yesterday," Long said on Sunday.

WSB reported the brothers were to be appointed defense attorneys Sunday, but it was not immediately clear if that had happened or who the attorneys are. Long said both suspects are expected to be in court at some point this week.

High School Football Player Died On The Field!

A Louisiana high school football player passed away from his injuries he suffered from playing a Friday night game. While catching a punt return, Tyrell Cameron, a student at Franklin Parish High School was brutally hit by the players.

He died shortly after he was transported to Franklin Medical Center late Friday, said coroner's office spokesman Shane Scott.

CNN reports that the player was hit during a punt return in the fourth quarter in the game against Sterlington High School, Franklin Parish head coach Barry Sebren told CNN affiliate KNOE.

Northeast Louisiana Ambulance Service was on the sidelines during the game and rushed onto the field to help when Cameron was injured.

The cause of death is under investigation, but KNOE reported Cameron broke his neck.

A vigil for the 16-year-old Cameron was planned for Saturday night at Franklin Parish High School, CNN affiliates KTVE and KARD reported.

The school posted condolences on social media.

"He loved his family, his team, and the game of football. He will be missed," the school's Facebook page read.

"Tyrell will live on in the memory of those who loved him," the school's athletic program tweeted.

Football injuries are on the rise.

Since 1995, there have been 77 known cases in which the death of high school players were directly linked to football, according to numbers compiled by The National Center for Catastrophic Sport Injury Research. There were five during the 2014 season. The center says about 1,100,000 people play high school football.

Also this week, a 16-year-old player at a Texas high school broke his neck during a junior varsity game, according to an online fundraising page for Jasiel Favors.

Favors, who played for Stony Point High School in Round Rock, is paralyzed from the waist down, the Austin Statesman reported Thursday.

Sophomore Josh Moore told CNN affiliate KXAN that Jasiel collided with two players and went down.

"Pretty sad to see because he was just laying there, I was worried if he was still alive or not, because he didn't move and they all swarmed, the cops swarmed over there," Moore told the Austin-area station.
