Keyshia Cole Spends The Night In The County!

Keyshia Cole throws down and got the cuffs slapped on her.

R & B singer and reality star Keyshia Cole will be releasing Point of No Return this year.

A little bit of a setback for the entertainer. The Associated Press reports that LAPD put the cuffs on the Grammy-nominated entertainer Keyshia Cole because of her fist of glory. She was being put in the back of the cruiser on the suspicion of battery after an altercation early Friday morning in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles police officer Nuria Vanegas says Cole was arrested around 5 a.m. after someone initiated a private person's arrest. The 32-year-old was booked on suspicion of battery and released from custody Friday afternoon.

Police did not release any further details about the incident.

An email message sent to Cole's publicist was not immediately returned.

Cole's second album, 2007's "Just Like You," produced the songs "Let It Go," ''I Remember" and "Heaven Sent."

Apparently she got drunk and hit that chick with a bottle at Bryan "Birdman/Baby" Williams' condo.

I am guessing the junk food media is saying that the entertainer is dating the 45 year old media mogul.

Danièle Watts To The Law: I'm No Hoe! Why The Hell You Arrest Me?

Celebrity chef Brian James Lucas and actress Danièle Watts were stopped by law enforcement after a complaint of "suspicious" behavior. Watts was questioned by the law and according to her, they mistook her for a prostitute.

That's not what she said, but I am guessing that's how she felt when Los Angles Police Department Studio City branch restrained her after someone complained about her sitting in a vehicle with her boyfriend who happened to be White.

Yeah, this is getting traffic. Of course, the agitators of Loserville and their friends on the racist right are silent on this. Maybe if she would have been shot and killed by the law, maybe the racist right will eventually talk about it. After all, they'll believe that she agitated the confrontation and got what she deserved.

Cue: Obama in the word vomit.

Okay, I'm going off the subject here. But seriously, I am certain that LAPD will conduct an investigation into this issue.

She took to the social networks this week to vent off about the situation.

Watts had a role in Django Unchained. Her claim to fame was during the media attention surrounding an incident where an officer of law mistook her for a prostitute. It was later reported that she was having sex in broad daylight when the incident occurred. Witnesses assert that after the police intervened she refused to show her ID and claimed she was famous.

Brian James Lucas recalled that the incident by taking pictures of her injured wrist. When they slapped the cuffs on her, they put a bruise on her.

The couple is in contact with lawyers, the ACLU and the NAACP about the incident.

What your opinion on this controversy?

Suge Knight Injured At VMAs!

Big Suge got shot again!

The former owner of the legendary Death Row Records was shot by an assailant after attending a party for "honorary Blood" member Chris Brown.

What party in L.A. won't be without a hip-hop themed shooting?

Knight was shot at a pre-Video Music Awards party, this time hosted by Chris Brown in Los Angeles. Shot 6 times, he was able to walk from the venue to an ambulance. His injuries required surgery.

Knight has ties to the infamous domestic terrorist group The Bloods.

The party held by the embattled pop star has brought the worst out. The Rolling Stone reports that two gunshots were initially fired at 1:35 a.m. in the 1Oak nightclub. Security helped Chris Brown and his table exit while many others in the crowd fled. At 1:50 a.m., police rushed into the club and forced the remaining guests to leave with their hands in the air.

On Sunday morning, Brown appeared to respond to the melee on Twitter. "It's disappointing that we as a society can't have fun or enjoy ourselves without any altercations sometimes," he wrote. "Miss me with the bullshit!!!"

"Chris hosted an event in Los Angeles last night to celebrate the upcoming release of his album X, during which an incident occurred," a rep added to Rolling Stone. "This incident did not involve Chris; he was merely the host of the event. He has and will continue to cooperate with the investigation."

"People were screaming and yelling and most ran out immediately," a witness to the scene told Us Weekly. "The floor was covered with glass from everyone dropping their drinks."

According to TMZ, Knight was one of three people hit by the gunfire. At least one of the other victims is in critical condition. Knight was shot in the stomach and arm, but was able to walk out of the club on his own, and family sources tell TMZ that he is now out of surgery and in intensive care.

In 2005, Knight was shot during another pre-VMA party hosted by Kanye West. In that incident, he was struck in the leg when a shooter opened fire in the VIP room of the Shore Club hotel in Miami.

A representative for 1OAk did not respond to a request for comment. A spokesperson for MTV clarified that the network had no affiliation with Saturday's event.

To this day, Suge Knight is still bitter with Dr. Dre. They founded Death Row Records in 1992 and became one of the country's most popular and controversial hip-hop labels. Under Death Row, the label released the five classic albums, The Chronic, Doggystyle, Dogg Food, All Eyez On Me, The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory.

Suge Knight lost all rights to Death Row in 2007.

Lauren Bacall Passes Away!

Hollywood's golden age beauty died today.

Hollywood just lost the great entertainer Robin Williams and now the Associated Press confirms that legendary actress Lauren Bacall has passed away tonight. It's confirmed that she died of a stroke.

Born Betty Joan Perske; the great entertainer died at age 89. She was an American film and stage actress and model, known for her distinctive husky voice and sultry looks.

She first emerged as a leading lady in the Humphrey Bogart film To Have and Have Not (1944) and continued on in the film noir genre, with appearances in Bogart movies The Big Sleep (1946), Dark Passage (1947), and Key Largo (1948), as well as comedic roles in How to Marry a Millionaire (1953) with Marilyn Monroe and Designing Woman (1957) with Gregory Peck. Bacall worked on Broadway in musicals, gaining Tony Awards for Applause in 1970 and Woman of the Year in 1981. Her performance in the movie The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996) earned her a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination.

In 1999, Bacall was ranked #20 of the 25 actresses on the AFI's 100 Years... 100 Stars list by the American Film Institute. In 2009, she was selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to receive an Academy Honorary Award "in recognition of her central place in the Golden Age of motion pictures."

Bacall was a staunch liberal Democrat. She had proclaimed her political views on numerous occasions. In October 1947, Bacall and Bogart traveled to Washington, D.C., along with other Hollywood stars, in a group that called itself the Committee for the First Amendment (CFA). She subsequently appeared alongside Humphrey Bogart in a photograph printed at the end of an article he wrote, titled "I'm No Communist", in the May 1948 edition of Photoplay magazine, written to counteract negative publicity resulting from his appearance before the House Un-American Activities Committee. Bogart and Bacall specifically distanced themselves from the Hollywood Ten and were quoted as saying: "We're about as much in favor of Communism as J. Edgar Hoover."

She campaigned for Democratic candidate Adlai Stevenson in the 1952 Presidential election and for Robert Kennedy in his 1964 run for Senate. In a 2005 interview with Larry King, Bacall described herself as "anti-Republican... A liberal. The L-word." She went on to say that "being a liberal is the best thing on earth you can be. You are welcoming to everyone when you're a liberal. You do not have a small mind."

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of Lauren Bacall.

BREAKING: Robin Williams Passes Away!

Today marks another devastating day in the entertainment industry. The famed comedian and actor Robin Williams passed away today at the age of 63.

He battled depression and it took its toll. He committed suicide. The Marin County, California coroner's office suggested the cause of death to be suicide by asphyxiation, though it is still under investigation.

Rising to fame with his role as the alien Mork in the TV series Mork & Mindy (1978-1982), Williams went on to establish a successful career in both stand-up comedy and feature film acting. His film career included such acclaimed films as Good Morning, Vietnam (1987), Dead Poets Society (1989), Awakenings (1990), The Fisher King (1991), and Good Will Hunting (1997), as well as financial successes such as Popeye (1980), Hook (1991), Aladdin (1992), Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), Jumanji (1995), The Birdcage (1996), Night at the Museum (2006), and Happy Feet (2006). He also appeared in the video to "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin.
The world lost a legend.
Nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor three times, Williams went on to receive the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Good Will Hunting (1997). He also received two Emmy Awards, four Golden Globes, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and five Grammy Awards.

Williams starred in the CBS sitcom The Crazy Ones this year. That show didn't make the 2014 - 2015 season even though it was critically acclaimed.

The junk food media went to tribute outpouring and wondering a world without a famous face.

I am truly sadden by this event. We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of Robin Williams.

Get On Up: The Story Of James Brown!

The MAN.....Rite cha!

There's a film featuring the great legend of soul and R & B and it starts Chadwick Boseman.

This movie is based on the life of James Brown.

Get on Up is an upcoming American biographical drama film directed by Tate Taylor and written by Jez and John-Henry Butterworth.

The movie is set for release in August.

James Brown was born in South Carolina.  He is the founding fathers of funk music and a major figure of 20th-century popular music and dance, he is often referred to as "The Godfather of Soul". In a career that spanned six decades, Brown profoundly influenced the development of several different musical genres.

After a stint in prison for robbery, Brown began his career as a gospel singer in Toccoa, Georgia. Joining an R&B vocal group called the Avons that later evolved to become The Famous Flames, Brown served as the group's lead singer.

First coming to national public attention in the late 1950s as a member of The Flames with the ballads "Please, Please, Please" and "Try Me", Brown built a reputation as a tireless live performer with singing group The Famous Flames and his backing band, sometimes known as the James Brown Band or the James Brown Orchestra.

Brown's success peaked in the 1960s with the live album, Live at the Apollo, and hit singles such as "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag", "I Got You" and "It's a Man's Man's Man's World". During the late 1960s, Brown moved from a continuum of blues and gospel-based forms and styles to a profoundly "Africanized" approach to music-making that influenced the development of funk music.

By the early 1970s, Brown had fully established the funk sound after the formation of The J.B.'s with records such as "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine" and "The Payback". Brown also became notable for songs of social commentary including the 1968 hit, "Say It Loud - I'm Black and I'm Proud".

Brown continued to perform and record for the duration of his life until his death in 2006 from congestive heart failure and pneumonia. He leaves behind his children and grandchildren.

Are you going to see the movie?

Walmart Truck Driver Charged In Tracy Morgan Incident!

Kevin Roper is etched in stone as the guy who seriously injured comedian Tracy Morgan.

The man who was driving the semi-truck on the New Jersey Turnpike didn't get sleep. He's been up for over 24 hours. Now he's getting rest in the county lockup. As he prepares to lose not only his job at the world's largest employer but the freedom of having a vehicle. Not to mention that he'll be forever known as the guy who injured Tracy Morgan and killed his friend fellow comedian James McNair.

He's facing vehicular homicide for the death of Jimmy Mac.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of Jimmy Mac.

CNN reports that Kevin Roper, 35, is charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto in the Saturday morning crash on the New Jersey Turnpike.

A Walmart spokeswoman issued a news release that said it was investigating the case.

"With regards to news reports that suggest Mr. Roper was working for 24 hours, it is our belief that Mr. Roper was operating within the federal hours of service regulations," Brooke Buchanan said in a written statement, referring to limits of 11 hours driving in a 14-hour period followed by 10 hours of rest.

The wreck took place about 1 a.m. Saturday when the limo bus Morgan was in was hit by a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, police said.
Tracy Morgan survived the accident but is still fighting for his life. His friend Jimmy Mac (aka James McNair) was killed in the accident.

Morgan was a passenger in a Mercedes Sprinter limousine involved in a 6-vehicle accident in New Jersey. Just after 1:00am EDT Saturday morning the limousine bus, carrying Morgan and six others, was traveling northbound on the New Jersey Turnpike just north of Trenton, New Jersey when it was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer operated by Walmart, causing a chain reaction crash.

The four comedians, along with Morgan's assistant and two limo company employees, had been returning from an engagement at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover, Delaware as part of Morgan's "Turn it Funny" comedy stand-up tour.

The crash killed Morgan's friend and collaborator, 63-year-old comedian James McNair.

Morgan was taken by helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey where he is reported to be in a responsive but critical condition in the intensive care unit.

Jet Magazine Goes Digital!

Legendary comic Bernie Mac was featured.
Johnson Publications, Inc. is about to end the longstanding pocket magazine. It's going to go to the online websites.

Jet is an American weekly marketed toward African-American readers, founded in 1951 by John H. Johnson of Johnson Publishing Company in Chicago, Illinois.

Initially billed as "The Weekly Negro News Magazine", Jet is notable for its role in chronicling the early days of the American Civil Rights movement from its earliest years, including coverage of the Emmett Till murder, the Montgomery Bus Boycott, and Martin Luther King, Jr.

In 2014, Johnson Publishing Company indicated that it would cease publishing Jet issues at the end of June, continuing solely as a digital magazine app.

Jet contains fashion and beauty tips, entertainment news, dating advice, political coverage, health tips, and diet guides, in addition to covering events such as fashion shows. The cover photo usually corresponds to the focus of the main story. Some examples of cover stories might be a celebrity's wedding, Mother's Day, or a recognition of the achievements of a notable African American. Many issues are given coverage to show the African-American community that if they want to reach a goal, they have to be willing to work for it. Jet also claims to give young female adults confidence and strength because the women featured therein are strong and successful without the help of a man.

Its sister magazine Ebony will continue to publish magazines.

Quvenzhané Wallis Plays Annie And The Racist Right Flips!

One of the youngest actresses nominate for an Oscar is of color. She gets mad hate over her role in a play.

10 year old actress Quvenzhané Wallis will play the role of Annie. She and Jamie Foxx will be in the play and here comes the word vomit from the racist right.

Here's an example of the hate that comes down the pipe.

This is the pathetic stuff you see from the Republican Party and its allies in the racist right.

Nothing but a grown ass loser who has nothing but contempt for the Black community.

Is there anything I got to say to the Turd?

One thing: She's rich and famous. He's not! Therefore, he'll hate. After all, a NIGGER got a better role than what this burger flipper got! So he'll have a pissy fit over it.

Call us NIGGERS all you want, chump.

But guess what, the USA is getting brown and your ass is going down!

Just like the Cheerios ad, this type of stuff exist.

The racist right and their friends head over to the Conservative Political Action Conference to promote this type of nonsense. Besides attacking a talented actress like Quvenzhané Wallis, the racist right would try to claim their down for the struggle.

Look how they try their best at reaching out to minorities.

Lou Reed Passes Away!

Legendary rock singer Lou Reed had died this weekend. We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of the famed entertainer.

Louis Allan Reed (March 2, 1942 – October 27, 2013) was an American rock musician and songwriter.

After being guitarist, vocalist, and principal songwriter of the Velvet Underground, his solo career spanned several decades. The Velvet Underground were a commercial failure in the late 1960s, but the group has gained a considerable cult following in the years since its demise and has gone on to become one of the most widely cited and influential bands of the era – hence Brian Eno's famous quote that while the Velvet Underground's debut album only sold 30,000 copies, "everyone who bought one of those 30,000 copies started a band."

After his departure from the group, Reed began a solo career in 1972. He had a hit the following year with "Walk on the Wild Side", but subsequently lacked the mainstream commercial success its chart status seemed to indicate.

In 1975, Reed released a double album of feedback loops, Metal Machine Music, upon which he later commented, "No one is supposed to be able to do a thing like that and survive."

Reed was known for his distinctive deadpan voice, poetic lyrics and for pioneering and coining the term ostrich guitar tuning.

In the spring of 2013, Reed underwent a liver transplant in Cleveland. Afterwards he claimed on his website to be "bigger and stronger" than ever. On October 27, 2013, Reed died at the age of 71 from liver disease at his home in Southampton, New York, on Long Island.

His physician Charles Miller noted that Reed "was fighting right up to the very end. He was doing his Tai Chi exercises within an hour of his death, trying to keep strong and keep fighting."

Tributes were paid to Reed on Twitter, including Iggy Pop, Samuel L. Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, Ricky Gervais, Ryan Adams, Elijah Wood, and many others.

David Bowie posted a comment on his Facebook page saying that Reed "was a master".

Rock band Pearl Jam dedicated their song "Man of the Hour" to Reed at their show in Baltimore and then covered the Velvet Underground's "I'm Waiting for the Man".

John Cale, his Velvet Underground bandmate, posted on his Facebook: "The world has lost a fine songwriter and poet…I've lost my 'school-yard buddy'".

Later, Universal Music revealed Cale's full statement on Reed's death: The news I feared the most, pales in comparison to the lump in my throat and the hollow in my stomach.

Two kids have a chance meeting and 47 years later we fight and love the same way - losing either one is incomprehensible. No replacement value, no digital or virtual fill ... broken now, for all time. Unlike so many with similar stories - we have the best of our fury laid out on vinyl, for the world to catch a glimpse. The laughs we shared just a few weeks ago, will forever remind me of all that was good between us.

Former Velvet Underground drummer Mo Tucker responded by saying that Reed was "generous, encouraging and thoughtful. Working with him sometimes could be trying to some people, but never to me. I guess we learned from each other. We all learned from each other.

Reed became an important influence to numerous singers and songwriters, including British musician Morrissey:

He had been there all of my life. He will always be pressed to my heart. Thank God for those, like Lou, who move within their own laws, otherwise imagine how dull the world would be.

Others from outside the music industry also paid their respects, including the Vatican and Salman Rushdie, who wrote, "My friend Lou Reed came to the end of his song. So very sad. But hey, Lou, you'll always take a walk on the wild side. Always a perfect day."

[Take A] Walk On The Wild Side.

Julianne Hough's "BLACKFACE" Outlash!

File:Julianne Hough 2011 People's Awards I.jpg
Pretty stupid.

Actress and singer Julianne Hough goes to the Halloween Party and was snapped by the paparazzi.

Her outfit was attracting some controversy.

What's your take on it? See the outfit below.

She goes as a character Crazy Eyes (of the Netflix drama Orange Being The New Black) theme.

julianne

Hough, 25, donned blackface for her costume yesterday, which she completed with an orange jumpsuit and Crazy Eyes' signature bantu knots. The actress attended the Casamigos Tequila Halloween party in Hollywood with friends, who appear to have all gone as the cast of the hit Netflix series. No one in the group, however, seems to have given Hough a heads up about her offensive getup.

She apologizes via the social networking websites.

Julianne Alexandra Hough born in 1988 is an American professional ballroom dancer, country music singer, and actress. She is a two-time professional champion of ABC's Dancing with the Stars.

Hough was born in Orem, Utah, the youngest of five children in a Latter-day Saint (Mormon) family.

She was nominated for Creative Arts Primetime Emmy in 2007 for outstanding choreography. Hough was signed to Mercury Nashville Records in December 2007.

Her self-titled debut album was released May 20, 2008, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Album chart and No. 3 on the Billboard 200. It sold 67,000 copies its first week, and has sold over 320,000 total copies.

She released a holiday album, Sounds of the Season: The Julianne Hough Holiday Collection, which as of January 5, 2009, had sold 157,000 copies. Her first leading role was in the 2011 film remake of Footloose.

She also starred in the 2013 drama film, Safe Haven.

By the way, Hough supported perennial loser Mitt Romney in the 2012 United States presidential election.

Her parents Marianne and Bruce Hough, who was twice chairman of the Utah Republican Party.

Not discrediting her as a talented actress and country music singer, but her antics represent how the Republican Party thinks of people of color and President Barack Obama.

Here's the actress Uzo Aduba as the character Crazy Eyes

Here's another picture of Julianne Hough.

Shellie Zimmerman: George Ain't Right!

A woman tells her story about the acquitted shooter.

Walking away from murder and the acquitted shooter now faces another downward spiral. Today it was revealed that Florida State Patrol officers had pulled over the shooter in August. George Zimmerman got pulled over in August for tinted windows and a dark license plate cover. He beat a ticket by telling the officer that he's an unlikely celebrity due to his high profile trial and he gets death threats.

His wife is still considering pressing charges on him after he got into it with her. And she may be facing court if she lied about the domestic dispute at their home in Lake Mary, Florida.

Many outlets are reporting that Shellie Zimmerman is now opening up about her estrange husband and tells the junk food media, that talking points given aren't true.

No duh, Shellie.

You let your husband spin a tail of him being pummeled by an unruly teen who happens to be unarmed. He shoots an unarmed teenager in the chest without showing an ounce of remorse. To this day, he still has "no regrets" for killing Trayvon Martin.
The men who divided a nation.
An unarmed teen who managed to be minding his own business on his way home. Somehow, a man who trained for MMA fighting himself told the tale of him being beaten by a teenager who was doing it MMA style. A man who claims that he reached for a concealed firearm.

A guy who was told not to follow the individual, did it anyway. A man who wanted to prove to the neighbors he's the captain.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that since the domestic dispute earlier this month, both parties were thrust back into the news. Shellie Zimmerman said on national television today that her husband snubbed her after he was acquitted of murdering 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in July.

"He just kind of treated me like I was disposable," Shellie Zimmerman said on the Today Show. "He went on a victory tour without me."

Shellie Zimmerman appeared with her attorney, Kelly Sims, discussing the trial, her divorce and the domestic dispute that erupted Sept. 9 when she called 911 and told police George Zimmerman was threatening her and punched her father.

"In hindsight, I should have pressed charges," Shellie Zimmerman said.

She told Matt Lauer that she didn't see a gun but felt threatened after George Zimmerman kept gesturing toward a holster on his hip and saying "step closer."

"I absolutely stand by my story," Shellie Zimmerman said. "He had a look in his eyes I've never seen before."

Despite standing by her story, Shellie Zimmerman said she didn't press charges because police made it very clear to her that if she did they would all be going to jail that day but she would be the only one staying in jail.

That's because Shellie Zimmerman is serving a year of probation after taking a plea deal in a perjury case.

Her perjury has lead to a "credibility issue" with the public, she told Lauer.
And your point is?
Zimmerman with her attorney.
Shellie Zimmerman also told the Today Show host she has doubts about what happened when her husband shot Trayvon Martin Feb. 26, 2012.

"I think anyone would doubt that," Shellie Zimmerman said. "I don't know the person I've been married to."

Still, she said she does not think George Zimmerman profiled Trayvon Martin.

Since the trial Shellie Zimmerman has lost 40 pounds and is working on herself, she told Lauer.

Of course, will Shellie may be throwing her support to Marissa Alexander?

Alexander got 20 years in the iron college for firing a gun in the ceiling. She used the "Stand Your Ground" defense and lost.

She won an appeal for a new trial.

The case of Marissa Alexander, a Jacksonville mother of three, has been used by critics of Florida's "stand your ground" law and mandatory minimum sentences to argue that the state's justice system is skewed against defendants who are black.

The 1st District Court of Appeal ruled that Alexander deserves a new trial because the trial judge handling her case did not properly instruct the jury regarding what is needed to prove self-defense.

The ruling, written by Judge Robert Benton, said the instructions constituted a "fundamental error" and required Alexander to prove self-defense "beyond a reasonable doubt."

But the court also made it clear in its ruling that the judge was right to block Alexander from using the state's "stand your ground" law as a way to defend her actions. That law generally removes people's duty to retreat in the face of possible danger and allows them to use of deadly force if they believe their lives are in danger.
Marissa Alexander is spending 20 years in the iron college for firing a gun in the ceiling. The controversy surrounds her sentencing has drawn parallels to the George Zimmerman situation.
Faith Gay, one of the attorneys representing the 33-year-old Alexander, said she was grateful for the "thorough consideration" provided by the appeals court.

"We are looking forward to taking the case back to trial," Gay said.

Alexander had never been arrested before she fired a bullet at a wall one day in 2010 to scare off her husband when she felt he was threatening her. Nobody was hurt, but the judge in the case said he was bound by state law to sentence her to 20 years in prison after she was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Alexander has maintained that the shot fired was a warning shot.

The sentencing sparked criticism from the local NAACP chapter and the district's African-American congresswoman, who said blacks more often are incarcerated for long periods because of overzealous prosecutors and judges bound by mandatory minimum sentences.

State Attorney Angela Corey, who oversaw the prosecution of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, has stood by the handling of Alexander's case. Corey said she believes that Alexander aimed the gun at the man and his two sons, and that the bullet she fired could have ricocheted and hit any of them.

Jackelyn Barnard, a spokeswoman for Corey, said that the conviction was reversed on a legal technicality and that the office was gratified that the "stand your ground" ruling was upheld.

Benjamin Jealous, president and CEO of the NAACP, called the ruling a "welcome development in a case that represents the double standards in our justice system."

"From the streets to the courthouse, race continues to influence the judicial process, and it certainly seemed to have played a role here," Jealous said in a statement issued by the civil rights organization.

The state's "10-20-life" law was implemented in 1999 and credited with helping to lower the violent crime rate. Anyone who shows a gun in the commission of certain felonies gets an automatic 10 years in prison. Fire the gun, and it's an automatic 20 years. Shoot and wound someone, and it's 25 years to life.

On Aug. 1, 2010, Alexander was working for a payroll software company. She was estranged from her husband, Rico Gray, and had a restraining order against him, even though they'd had a baby together just nine days earlier. Thinking he was gone, she went to their former home to retrieve the rest of her clothes, family members said.

An argument ensued, and Alexander said she feared for her life when she went out to her vehicle to get the gun she legally owned. She came back inside and ended up firing a shot into the wall, which ricocheted into the ceiling.

Gray testified that he saw Alexander point the gun at him and looked away before she fired the shot. He claimed that she was the aggressor, and that he had begged her to put away the weapon.

The judge threw out Alexander's "stand your ground" self-defense claim, noting that she could have run out of the house to escape her husband but instead got the gun and went back inside. Alexander rejected a plea deal that would have resulted in a three-year prison sentence and chose to go to trial. A jury deliberated 12 minutes before convicting her.

Alexander was also charged with domestic battery four months after the shooting in another assault on Gray. She pleaded no contest and was sentenced to time served.

Supporters of Alexander have asked Gov. Rick Scott to pardon Alexander, but her case has not yet been taken by the state's clemency board.

Arsenio Hall: We're Making History!

Back from the dad

Television personality Arsenio Hall made a big comeback this month. September is off to a great start for the Arseino Hall Show. The debut of his late night talk show proves to be fruitful. His ratings are good.

Coming out of semi-retirement the entertainer revived The Arsenio Hall Show. On most of your CW affiliate stations, Arsenio is on. During the 1990s he would do celebrity interviews and became a focal point to Arkansas governor Bill Clinton, a man who would later become the 42nd President of the United States.

The show was aimed primarily at the younger urban audience, with Eddie Murphy (a personal friend of Hall's) and other performers often featured. Other semi-regular guests who were on The Arsenio Hall Show included Andrew "Dice" Clay and Paula Abdul.

Paula Abdul and Snoop Dogg (Snoop Lion) would later returned for debut of his new show.

The show quickly appealed to young people of all races and began to attract a wide variety of guests (although this popularity with audiences was short-lived, leading to the show's cancellation).

It became the show for entertainers to go to in order to reach the "MTV Generation."

The show was known for the audience's chant of "Woof! Woof! Woof!" while pumping their fists in a circular motion. Some say this was appropriated from the fan chants at Hall's hometown team of Cleveland Browns games. Others have speculated that it came from the chant of Black Greek Letter Organization Omega Psi Phi fraternity. In any case, it quickly became associated with Hall's show and with Hall himself. Arsenio was also well known for his long fingers, and it became a long-running gag including some episodes on In Living Color.

Arsenio brings his "woof-woof" fist pounds and his antics back to the late night.

Arsenio is competing with Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Conan O'Brien.

Even the political agitators are throwing their weight and well wishes to Arsenio.

We'll see how it goes. Arsenio Hall, we wish you well dog!

Sheryl Underwood, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Julie Chen host CBS The Talk. The daytime program is gunning for The View after three successful seasons.
On September 11, 2013 during the first week of Season 4 of The Talk, Chen revealed that she had undergone East Asian blepharoplasty early in her career after being pressured by a previous news director.

While it was hurtful to her, Chen would build a name recognition for herself. Having anchoring for both CBS Morning News and The Early Show as well as hosting the summer reality-television series Big Brother, potential opportunities and true love happen to fall upon her.

Les Moonves, president and chief executive officer of CBS Television, began dating the Big Brother host during his marriage to Nancy Wiesenfeld Moonves. Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences, according to her lawyer Dennis Wasser.

On December 23, 2004, Chen and Moonves were married in a private ceremony attended by friends and family at a private home in Acapulco, Mexico.

Remember that women of color are often discriminated in the workplace. Black women lead the way in discrimination. Then comes Native Americans, Latinas and Asian American woman. Women who are Muslim are often discriminated as well.
Comedian Sheryl Underwood.
Besides this, her co-host Sheryl Underwood was also in hot water after attacking Heidi Klum and Seal's children for being "nappy heads". She also made the news for having a twin sister die in birth and her family never mentioned this while she grew up.

Ryan Adams: Hannity Is A D*ck!

Ryan Adams calls That Guy Who Helped Obama Win a Little Chicken Man!

Hell I rather call him That Guy Who Helped Obama Win (or perhaps That Scumbag On Loserville).

But the Little Chicken Man is suitable as well.

Over the week, the second most listened and watched conservative agitator in America has been attacked for his ongoing feuds with President Barack Obama and Trayvon Martin.

Since there's talk about the scandals surrounding New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner and Alex Rodriguez, the famed third base New York Yankee star, That Guy Who Helped Obama Win has been on this ongoing obsession to attack these individuals for being imperfect.

I mean Democrats caught in sex scandals are like honey to the conservative agitators and the comedians.

They've longed for another Bill Clinton moment so they could talk obsessively about the personal business of politicos, celebrities and athletes. Tiger Woods, Larry Craig, Linsdey Lohan, and Amanda Bynes are often targets of celebrity agitating because of their sex scandals.

That Guy Who Helped Obama Win ignores Congressman Mark Sanford (R-South Carolina) and Senator David Vitter (R-Louisiana) for their embarrassing moments. He allows Rudy Giuliani, Newt Gingrich, Fred Thompson, King Hippo on his program and these men have cheated on their wives. Even his idol Ronald Reagan was a known "player" in the days of Hollywood.

You notice that many Democratic and Republican men have been quiet on the Anthony Weiner scandal!

Those who throw stones at glass houses. I mean we have San Diego mayor Bob Filner screwing up his legacy by staying on. He'll end up bankrupting the eighth largest city because of the numerous lawsuits he'll get.

Alex Rodriguez is under fire for his confirmed steroid usage and is fighting a suspension that may end his baseball career.

That Guy and rocker Ryan Adams get into a spat over "grown folk business".

That foolish conservative agitator and the rocker get into it. The conservative agitator says to Adams that if he had the balls to say that he's a "LITTLE CHICKEN MAN" and the like.

Adams kindly declined the conservative agitator's request to have him on his right wing carnival.

He called Adams a "gutless liberal coward" who is afraid to go on his right wing carnival.

So I am guessing that he's going to discuss this feud on television and radio soon.

After all, this guy and King Hippo have pissed off Cumulus Radio. They may end up losing some affiliates.

For a serial name dropping agitator who relishes on the culture of division and distraction, this was a moment that I wished that Alec Baldwin would have jumped in and said something. It would have been quite funny to see Alec Baldwin hit that fool upside his head.

Ryan Adams appears on PAX-AM Entertainment/Capitol Records.

Usher's Son Accidental Drowning!

0806-usher-raymond-V-getty
35 year old entertainer's young child was injured in a pool accident.

This coming from celebrity news agitator TMZ.

Usher appears on RCA Records.

The entertainer and reality show host's son was injured in a pool accident in Atlanta, Georgia.

he child was playing in the pool with his aunt and saw a toy in the drain.  He dove down to get the toy and his arm got stuck in the drain.  The aunt immediately dove in to rescue him but couldn't get his hand out.  The maid then dove in and tried but was also unsuccessful.

The maid screamed for help.  Two men working in the house came out, dove in and freed the boy.  He was given CPR immediately and rushed to the hospital.  Usher arrived and drove in the ambulance with his son.

5-year-old Usher Raymond V is the oldest of Usher's two sons with ex-wife Tameka Raymond. We're told Usher and Tameka are currently at the hospital.

Doctors have been running a series of tests and doctors say he'll be ok.

This is the second accident to strike a child in Usher's family. Tameka's 11-year-old son Kile from a previous relationship passed away last year from injuries sustained during a jet ski accident.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our prayers to Usher and his family during this tragedy.

Drudge Targets Michelle Obama Again!

He's the pied piper of extremism. He's the guy who loves to throw shit on the wall hoping it will stick.

He loves to make BLACK stories his number one priority.

He continues day in and day out posting on his website the stories that appeal to a base of extremists.

Conservatives and White supremacists view this website as the "real news" of America.

They can find comment sections to post their reactionary outrage about the latest issues in America. They're trolling the internet hoping to piss off a person who disagrees with the narrative put out by this guy!

This guy isn't your average conservative agitator. He's an extremist with tattoos and a fedora.

You couldn't find him in the regular media like King Hippo, Chalk E. Becker, That Guy Who Helped Obama Win (aka That Scumbag On Loserville) and Bill-O.

But these guys use him as a source to how they get their daily talking points off. Of course this guy, Loserville and the Republican Party are like this huge family. A family of bigots, religious zealots and outright ignorant bullshitters.
It's a real issue in America. Childhood obesity.
Whenever a story about President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and those in the hip-hop community come forth, expect the word vomit to follow.

First Lady Michelle Obama wants to help curb the growing situation with childhood obesity. Her programs include the 60 Minute Go! and the Ready Set Learn initiatives.

Doug E. Fresh at the 5th Annual Hip-Hop Summit Action Network's Action Awards.jpg
Doug E. Fresh
She deeply cares about the health of most American children. But to the extremists in the conservative movement, they look at her as a self-imposing hypocrite. A NIGGER who looks like a baboon.

These extremists are watching ever ounce of food being shoved into the mouth of the president, the first lady and Vice President Joe Biden. They want to see words like Bison ribs or truffle with sweet onion gravy.

They want to watch the first lady purchase a handbag that Louis Vuitton. They want to see her take a vacation to Aspen with her staff and the Secret Service.

Hell they watching how many planes the president, first lady and vice president use when they travel to places and speak at events.

US News story was linked to the story and the extremist picked up on it.

First Lady Michelle Obama appeared in a hip-hop music video that featured rapper Doug E. Fresh, singer-songwriter Jordin Sparks and TV medical personality Dr. Oz. The catchy song urged kids to "work hard/eat right" and "tell somebody/it's your body/c'mon." The song was just the first of a 19-track album, the majority of which are hip-hop, to be released by the Partnership for a Healthier America, the anti-obesity nonprofit that launched in conjunction with Michelle Obama's Let's Move! anti-obesity campaign, and a New York-based group called Hip Hop Public Health.

Jordin Sparks
The full album, which includes songs with names like "Veggie Luv," by Monifah and J Rome, "Hip Hop LEAN," by Artie Green, and "Give Myself a Try," by Ryan Beatty, will be released on Sept. 30.

Let's Move! Executive Director and White House assistant chef Sam Kass says the White House is fully behind the initiative to use hip-hop – and other genres of music – as a tool to get kids to live healthier lives.

"Cultural leaders and visionaries in our country can give these messages to kids in a way that's not preachy. Kids are going to be dancing and listening to the music," he says. "I think hip-hop in particular – so many kids love hip-hop. It's such a core part of our culture ...and particularly in the African-American community and the Latino community which is being disproportionately affected by those health issues."

African-American children are more than 50 percent more likely to be overweight or obese compared with white children, and Hispanic children are nearly 30 percent more likely, according to a 2008 study published in Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine

If all goes according to plan, some 10 of the 19 songs on the new album will be made into music videos, much like the hip-hop video in which Michelle Obama appeared. Those music videos will then be distributed to schools across the nation – starting with 40 schools in New York City, and then to schools in San Antonio, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. The hope is that teachers will use the videos during recess, physical education classes or even passing periods to encourage kids to get moving.

Though the White House has only recently gotten behind using hip-hop to fight obesity, the initiative has been almost a decade in the making. Back in 2005, an academic neurologist at Columbia University in New York, Olajide Williams, started thinking and experimenting with how hip-hop music could be used to encourage his stroke patients to live healthier lives. His efforts seemed to work and so Williams, who has done extensive research on community-based behavioral interventions, founded Hip Hop Public Health to educate African-Americans and Latinos through hip-hop about the diseases plaguing their communities.

It's the sort of feel good story these extremists can't stand.
This extremist usually has tattoos and fedora. His website promotes extremism.
They use their freedom of speech to be outright bigots and racists. This probably why Blacks hate Republicans more than ever now!

The Republican Party is in such disarray over how they can reach out to young voters, Blacks and Hispanic voters. As the cultural gap shifts, Republicans keep full steam ahead on the ignorance.

They attack entertainer Jordin Sparks and rapper Doug E. Fresh for participating in this. I can hear some concerned women say they'll boycott Dr. Oz and others because they stood near the president or first lady.

It's pathetic that politics even in a feel good moment have gotten so ugly.

It's why we're likely going to focus on hopefully having the Democrats regain the House of Representatives and retain the U.S. Senate.

We need to bring together a coalition of people to inspire Americans to vote. Voting helps remove problems.

If we could send the Republican Party a message this coming election, maybe they'll change their ways.

In no way I think conservatism is bad. Actually I think it's good only if the right people can say it in a fashion that people are inspired. But if you're clicking on links from an extremist or listening to assholes like King Hippo, you are in no way a supporter of conservatism. You're a supporter of the racist mentality that drives the ongoing rifts between race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, political and economic standings.

Jordin Sparks appears on RCA Records
Doug E. Fresh appears Enjoy Records, LLC.

Tim Allen: I'm Gonna Need Some HOME Improvement!

Wild hogging! Tim Allen uses Martin Lawrence as a reference to how you explain the word NIGGER.

Famed comic is under fire for defending troubled celebrity chef Paula Deen. The comic even utter the racial slur.

From Home Improvement, to The Santa Clause and Toy Story, he's been a fixture of Disney for sometime.

After a rocky second season, ABC decided to renew the Tim Allen sitcom Last Man Standing. Even after the changing of actors and the dreaded Friday spot, the show pulled good ratings. The show features Nancy Travis, Molly Ephraim, Hector Elizondo, Kaitlyn Dever, and Amanda Fuller.

I can admit even in the replacement of actress Alexandra Krosney for Amanda Fuller was kind of rocky but it did bring an improvement to the show.
Tim Allen plays Mike Baxter on the show Last Man Standing. He and Nancy Travis play a married couple who raising three daughters and their grandson in suburban Denver.
Last Man Standing is based on married couple with three daughters and a grandson. Allen is the chief manager of a sporting good store and his wife (played by Travis) is a geologist. They raise three daughters in their home in suburban Denver, Colorado. Each of the character's experience involves Allen giving his fatherly advice to most modern day issues.

Allen's character is a conservative at heart. Some episodes featured conversation about President Barack Obama and perennial loser Mitt Romney. Some of the episodes talk about controversial themes such as "unwed pregnancy", "performance enhancing drugs", "vigilante protests" and "racial stereotypes".

The third season will begin in September.

Allen pissed off Melissa Harris-Perry and Michael Eric Dyson, two featured players on Obama News.

Allen gave an interview to the Tampa Bay Times and he praised his idols Lenny Bruce and Richard Pryor.

He also gave his thoughts on Paula Deen:

"If I have no intent, if I show no intent, if I clearly am not a racist! How can say that NIGGER be bad [when it comes] out my mouth?"

I do (sic) a movie with Martin Lawerence and pretty soon they're referring to me, 'hey my NIGGA's up'. So I'm the NIGGER if I'm around you guys but 7 feet away, if I said NIGGER, it's not right. It's very confusing to the European mind how that works, especially if I've either grown up or evolved or whatever, it litterally was growing up in Colorado, with Hispanics and Anglos, that's all I remember.

That didn't go so well with Michael Eric Dyson. This was discussed on Melissa Harris-Perry's show this weekend.

Jay-Z & Beyonce Appears At Rally For Trayvon Protest!

Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Al Sharpton appear with Trayvon Martin's mother Sybrina Fulton. Fulton is pushing for stricter gun control laws and asks for the U.S. Justice Department to look into how Sanford Police botched up. The Justice Department are getting involved with the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case.

The rapper and his wife, pop singer Beyonce are featured players in the Trayvon Martin rally.

In New York, where Sybrina Fulton and the Reverend Al Sharpton (Rev. Perm) were calling upon the U.S. Justice Department to bring hate crime charges against George Zimmerman.

Zimmerman was found not guilty in the murder of Trayvon Martin, a 17-year old unarmed teenager who was on an errand run when the stories accounted a confrontation by the two. Zimmerman, now 29 was a neighborhood watch volunteer when he got into the confrontation. He ended up killing the teen and claimed "self defense".

Zimmerman is currently in hiding. Conservative agitators alike feel that the president, Attorney General Eric Holder and Rev. Perm should not have meddled in this affair.

There is one who is even going as far to help George Zimmerman get a firearm.

The Rally For Trayvon Protests were happened in major cities across the nation. Many Americans were not pleased over the verdict decided to vent off at federal plazas and police stations in many urban areas.

Today, the U.S. Justice Department is investigating how the Sanford Police botched up a simple case.

The involuntary manslaughter charge would have gotten him. Unfortunately the state prosecutors handed the second degree murder charge. A charge that required Zimmerman to know Martin if he was to kill him.

Still the impact has touched Hollywood and the hip-hop community.

The rapper and media mogul has express anger over the decision and the criticism he and his wife Beyonce faced this year when they went on vacation in Cuba.

Jay-Z's album Magna Carta.....Holy Grail is out and it was just certified platinum this month.

Jay-Z appears on Roc-A-Fella Records/Roc Nation, LLC.
Beyonce appears on Sony Music Group.
