Boneheaded "Racist" Prank Lands Four In The Lockup!

roommates

Only in America, you would have four grown adults do something so stupid. These four may end up int the iron college for a least 15 years for their boneheaded prank. And all over what?
I don't know but Philadelphia police will do something about it.
WPIX reports that police say four people forcibly tattooed their roommate with racial slurs and obscene images while holding him hostage for three days in a Philadelphia basement.
Corry Campbell, 20, Sandra Ng, 19, Jennifer Pratt, 29, and David Thomas, 27, are charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, kidnapping and related counts.
Police said the 52-year-old victim called 911 on Tuesday and told investigators he was held against his will in the basement of a home in the Mayfair neighborhood where he lived with the four suspects. The man said he was beaten and tattooed by three of them.
Police said the victim’s lower arms were covered with nearly a dozen offensive tattoos. Investigators say his hands were badly bruised and swollen and his eyes, legs, ribs and torso were also bruised.

Conservative Outrage Over Stephen Colbert!

Lu0zgpcsfqkuisfwozk0
Comedy in bad taste?

The Comedy Central satirist and fake anchor of The Colbert Report is facing criticism over an apparent knock at Asian Americans. One in particular is a conservative agitator who doesn't even acknowledge her heritage as a Filipino-American.

The turd flipper and her blog finally found racism. There's a movement online to cancel the comedian's show.

The hastag #CancelColbert is springing up on the social networks because apparently Stephen Colbert said something that pissed off the Asian American community.

Let's take a look at the controversy.

Suey Park is the creator of the Cancel Colbert movement. She is a well known internet activist and her impact has got the junk food media involved. The feud is ongoing because she felt that even though he's entertaining the audience, his mention of Asian stereotypes have crossed the line.

This seem to grab the attention of the conservative agitator who is known throw racial slurs and insults in the direction of those she disagrees with. The turd flipper continues to be the gadfly of the racist right.

Colbert then addressed the firestorm from his personal Twitter account, and the official "The Colbert Report" account later clarified that Comedy Central, not Colbert or anyone who works for his show, managed that account.

The official Colbert Report tweeted also

Any thoughts on this controversy?

Do you believe the turd flipper is just meddling or Stephen Colbert is a flaming liberal racist as she calls him?

The Harping Turd Flipper Sells Her "Gotcha Moment" Website!

Harping conservative agitator sales her "gotcha moment" website.

Mediaite reports that harping turd flipper Michelle Malkin sold her social "gotcha" website to Townhall.

As an internet savvy activist who launched Twitchy about a few years ago decided to hang up her share in the company.

With that savvy comes her volatile attitude towards President Barack Obama and his family.

Malkin has made no bones about her disgust of the Obama family and she was given plenty of air time on Fox News to inject her venom upon the masses.

Malkin, born to Filipino immigrants denies her heritage and consider her minority standings as irrelevant.

Malkin has a cult-like status among the internet. Her followers will do anything for her. If she post the information of anyone whom she get into a heated debate with, you will expect death threats.

The turd flipper's decision to sale the site to the same company that bought mega-successful Hot Air could be beneficial. Salem Communications wisely kept Ed Morrissey and friends on after that deal, and the Twitchy team is being left in place as well.

Jonathan Garthwaite, general manager and editor-in-chief of Townhall.com, confirmed the news to viral news blog BuzzFeed Tuesday, saying he was “excited” to be folding Twitchy into existing Salem news properties.

“Media Matters types would like to paint conservatives as boring, old white guys,” Garthwaite said. “Twitchy adds more fun and humor to our platform, which will appeal to totally different generation and break that stereotype.”
Rightie website goes for sale.
Launched in March 2012, Twitchy was the brainchild of conservative author and pundit Michelle Malkin, who until now served as owner and chief executive officer. The site is unique in the conservative media landscape for its native social aim, acting as a “Twitter curator” and timelining social media wars between pundits, politicians and celebrities.

…Garthwaite says Malkin will relinquish the title of CEO, but will still be active in promoting the Twitchy brand. He said the nine Twitchy staff writers, disparately located around the country, will not be asked to relocate to the Townhall news offices in Arlington, Va.

Garthwaite would not disclose terms of the deal.

Washed Up Reality Star Invokes Hitler!

Tila Tequila as 'Hitila' [Facebook]
Do you remember the list of celebrities that America hates?  Meet Tila Tequila.

The Raw Story has another gem and it features a washed up celebrity and her stupidity.

Tila Tequila is a entertainer who rose to fame as that broad who wanted men and women to work their asses off for her affections. She would dub this "A Shot At Love" and it was on MTV. It ran for three seasons and gain notoriety for her being this Asian American girl who was a heavily tattooed diva who wanted to find the right person to be with.

I once dated a woman from Covington, Ohio who was a die hard drinker and reality television watcher.

This woman would introduce me to the broad's reality series. I found it to be really distasteful. I mean who would risk their time to date a woman who rose to fame on showing a couple of boobs for a few dollars.

I mean this broad has dated NFL stars, NBA players and a heiress from Johnson & Johnson (before she ended up killing herself on a drug binge). This broad pissed off many Jewish Americans with her little getup.
howe
James Howe was murdered. He worked on a reality show for washed up reality star Tila Tequila.
“I am not going to sit here and say that I hate Jewish people because that is not the case nor is this about Jews,” Tequila wrote.

“It is about Hitler and his side of the story that was never told since he was not the victor. However, those of you with a closed mind can think I am being anti-Semite all you want because I already told you that I am not, nor will I repeat myself again.”

The barrage of pro-Nazi imagery came less than two years after a public statement on Tequila’s part declaring she had converted to Judaism, saying “I just feel like the Jewish people have such a beautiful way about them, and I can’t wait to officially be Jewish. Shabbat Shalom.”
Tila Tequila in 2008 wearing a see through t-shirt so paparazzi could snap her nip slips.
“I TOLD YOU MY TRUTH SHALL COME OUT ONE DAY!!!! A TRUE WARRIOR OF GOD IS ALWAYS VICTORIOUS!! POW! NO PUN INTENDED! [sic]” she wrote.

According to Animal, Tequila also refers to herself as “Hitila” in a new song she posted online on Sunday, which features the lyrics, “Jewluminati motherf*ckers hate me,” and, “Worldwide genocide, blame it on the Jews.”

Animal New York reported that Tequila also used anti-Semitic language in a December 6 post making light of the death of 42-year-old James Howe, who was shot and killed in their home on November 27.

I am guessing that the Anti-Defamation League will not be pleased with her response.

Although, she is entitled to express this outfit and endorsement of this horrible war lord, she should know better. I am sure that America's Next Top Model will have no problem letting this one go!

And believe me she should take her silly ass out of the limelight. It's not helpful for America Next Top Model to have this woman acting a fool when the cameras aren't running.

Tila Nguyen (born October 24, 1981), better known by her stage names Tila Tequila and Miss Tila, is a Singaporean-born American model and television personality.

She is known for her appearances in the men's magazines Stuff, Maxim, Penthouse, her role as host of the Fuse TV show featuring performance striptease, Pants-Off Dance-Off and her position as the most popular artist on MySpace (according to page views) circa April 2006.

Nguyen was allegedly choked and restrained by former boyfriend Shawne Merriman, who was later arrested.

San Diego district attorney Bonnie Dumanis decided not to charge Merriman after her office spent three days reviewing reports from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Nguyen sued Merriman for $1.5 million. Several weeks later, Merriman countersued, alleging intentional interference with contract, unfair competition, and trademark infringement. Merriman claimed that she was on a serious drug binge and he was trying to prevent her from acting a fool.

She declined to respond to his more recent actions, and a default judgment was entered in his favor for $2 million.

Nguyen stated she was engaged to heiress Casey Johnson and was photographed with a diamond ring.

Johnson, who had long suffered from Type I Diabetes, was found dead in 2010. The Los Angeles Coroner's Office announced that Johnson "died from diabetic ketoacidosis, a life-threatening condition caused by a lack of insulin and high blood sugar". She was reported to have neglected to take her medication, and died naturally.

In 2011 Vivid Entertainment released a video of Nguyen engaging in sexual acts with pornographic actresses Kristina Rose and Charlie Laine.

Nguyen has stated that the video was made for personal use and she did not consent to its release.

It was reported that Nguyen has agreed to check into rehab after having reportedly "almost died" from an attempted suicide by overdosing on pills. The incident caused her to be hospitalized from a brain aneurysm.

Nguyen completed her rehab treatment in 2012.

Upon completing her treatment, Nguyen opened up about her near-death experience to US Weekly stating "I can remember feeling like the bones were popping out the side of my head [because] the pain was so bad. I took some medications and tried to go for a nap, but when I woke up I was vomiting. I really thought I was going to die.

She was born in Singapore, raised in Houston, Texas, and now lives in Los Angeles, California.

Typhoon Haiyan!

Superstorm Haiyan destroys Filipino cities.

Okay, I know we're here in the United States not worried about what's going on in the world.

But seriously, there's a massive weather event equal to Hurricane Sandy.

Typhoon Haiyan is considered one the worst disasters in world.

It slammed into the Republic of the Philippines. It is estimated that over 20,000 people may have lost their lives to the deadly storm.
Major damages are report across the southern tier of the Philippines.
This storm was a catastrophic F5. Similar to the Hurricane Katrina and the Sandy model, Haiyan is thirtieth named storm, thirteenth typhoon, and fifth super-typhoon of the 2013 Pacific typhoon season, Haiyan originated as an area of low pressure east-southeast of Pohnpei in the western Pacific Ocean on November 2. Tracking generally westward, the disturbance steadily developed within an environment of light wind shear and warm sea surface temperatures, becoming a tropical depression early the following day.

The cyclone caused devastation in the Philippines, particularly on Samar Island and Leyte, where at least 20,000 people are estimated to have died in the city of Tacloban alone.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to those who were lost in this horrible tragedy.

If you want to donate to the victims of this horrible tragedy, please click on the American Red Cross or the United Way.

Obama Meets Malala!

President Barack Obama meets with Malala Yousafzai. The young girl became an international figure in the women's rights movement. She was a survivor of a gun shooting at point blank range. In the picture is First Lady Michelle Obama and the president's oldest daughter Malia.

Pakistani girl who was shot at point blank range by terrorists meets President Barack Obama.

Malala Yousafzai, the 16 year old girl who sparked international praise for women's rights in her country is one of the world's most influential figures. The remnants of Taliban has taken over tribal regions in Northwest Pakistan. They've put a hit on her because she stood up to them. She wanted to learn and excel in society.

Islamic conservatives aren't hip to that one. So they decided that a bullet is the only way to shut her up!

They would ambush a school bus. They would shot her at point blank range in the head. They would shot two of her friends before fleeing. The young girl was injured around her left side. The injury partially grazed her skull and bounced off her head. While barely breathing, the young girl fought through surgery to make a full recovery.

British doctors and millions of supporters contributed to her recovery. And now as a victim of gun violence, she been a leading advocate for women's rights and gun control.

Malala Yousafzai (Pashto: ملاله یوسفزۍ‎ [mə ˈlaː lə . ju səf ˈzəj]; Urdu: ملالہ یوسف زئی‎ Malālah Yūsafzay, born 12 July 1997) is a Pakistani school pupil and education activist from the town of Mingora in the Swat District of Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

She is known for her activism for rights to education and for women, especially in the Swat Valley, where the Taliban had at times banned girls from attending school. In early 2009, at the age of 11–12, Yousafzai wrote a blog under a pseudonym for the BBC detailing her life under Taliban rule, their attempts to take control of the valley, and her views on promoting education for girls.

The following summer, a New York Times documentary was filmed about her life as the Pakistani military intervened in the region, culminating in the Second Battle of Swat. Yousafzai rose in prominence, giving interviews in print and on television, and she was nominated for the International Children's Peace Prize by South African activist Desmond Tutu.

Many observers believed that she would be a participant for the Nobel Peace Prize.

The prize went to The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

That didn't disappoint the viberent young girl.

Yousafzai spoke at the UN to call for worldwide access to education, and in September 2013 she officially opened the Library of Birmingham. Yousafzai is the recipient of the Sakharov Prize for 2013.

She kind of endorsed Hillary Clinton, if she should run for president in 2016.

Rough Ridin' On The West Side Highway!

Camera films motorcycle riders beat a man after he ran over one of their riders.

A video that surface on the internet shows a motorcycle group follow a family in a SUV.

The motorcycle group was chasing the family down the famous West Side Highway in New York City.

There were some moments where the group surrounded the vehicle. And there were some parts where the SUV ran over a motorcycle operator and thus to a chase around the West Side Highway. As the driver tried to flee, he was followed by the motorcyclists.  This led to the driver getting beaten in front of his family.

Alexian Lien and wife Rosalyn.
The motorcycle operator, Jeremiah Mieses was badly injured and will not ever walk again.

The driver Alexian Lien was severely beaten and will have to have permanent facial injuries.

The NYPD is trying to figure out who's at fault. Of course since this is on camera, it's a matter of he said or they said.

Somehow it was mentioned that two of the motorcycle operators were charged with felonious assault and unlawful restraint.

But are there charges for the driver who ran over a motorcycle operator?

This story got the news agitators talking.

Have you noticed that the folks over at Loserville, in particular Bill-O been on this "race story" fixation?

And yes even a tabloid rag that usually I rely on for some of our post is even going as far to stereotype this to a race story.

In a crime in which a person is murdered, an actual news journalist would insert the suspect's race and gender if there's no apprehension. But if the suspect was apprehended upon the crime, then they release the name and keep the race and gender out of the subject.

It only gets motivated into a race story when the political agitators see the story and propel it into the spotlight.

That Guy Who Throws Shit To The Wall is a notorious race baiter who would salivate over stuff like this.

Or Bill-O, he'll blame the entertainment industry or President Barack Obama for this type of incident.

Jeremiah Mieses, critically injured.
Anyway, the man who was beaten was named Alexian Lien and his wife Rosalyn were described as a "wealthy" couple by the New York Daily News.

So they have to be "wealthy" because they're Asian?

The rider was Black (Hispanic origin). So he's a member of the "wild pack of motorcyclists"?

It doesn't matter if they're wealthy or poor. They were victims and suspects.

The suspects were the ones who ran over the motorcycle rider.

The suspects were the one who hit the window of the SUV. The suspects were the ones who injured the driver. The suspects were the ones who followed a person without calling 911 and letting the police handle the matter.

Were the motorcycle riders the instigators or the driver?

And of course the racial extremist say "they would", "they could", or "I should" excuse. They run with this narrative that every person who commits a crime (and the individual is Black or Hispanic), it's another Trayvon Martin (Obama's son) excuse.

A motorcycle appears to hit the brakes before he was struck by the SUV.
The riders slow down and corner the SUV. The driver would later run over three of them.
Again, you never know what happen when you're in a situation. Those who are lucky can escape a possible threat.

See those in law enforcement know the matter of "life and death" and "lawful and unlawful". They are public servants who employed to serve the safety of their communities.

Sometimes I hate to say this. But when I read the comments from the social media, I shake my head in disgust. I think to myself that "you can't fix stupid" and "everyone wants to be a hero!"

See the video and you make the decision for yourself.

This video is disturbing.

Also the owner of the video may claim rights to it. So it might be pulled since he's disabled all links to his video.

Haters Come Out Against Miss America!

Miss America Nina Davuluri. The country's most ignorant elements have the nerve to call her a "terrorist".

The crowning of a new Miss America is a great feeling for a young woman who strives to be all that she can be. Some look at the crown as a form of leadership. Others think of it as sexist.

Whether you like it or not, it's a tradition of the American junk food elite to bring 51 women onstage to show off their talents for the crown of being the nation's most beautiful woman. Miss America would later go onto to compete for the Miss Universe crown.

Nina Davuluri is from New York. She was crown the new Miss America. She would be the first Indian American woman to ever wear the crown.

A lovely and yes intelligent woman she is.

But to the racist right, it's a Muslim terrorist and another Obama sanctioned event. The political correctness of the Miss America pageant says some of the extremists who found out the news.
She is an American woman but to the racist right, she's another Muslim terrorist.
I've told you before that between Journal de la Reyna and my other blogs, I have three blogs I've often checked out for the latest controversial things off the internet. Addicting Info, The Hinterland Gazette and Public Shaming are the three websites I've normally visited often to check on things that's going on in the social networks.

I would use Huffington Post and That Guy Who Throws Shit To The Wall's websites often for the most mainstream stories.

But anyway, Public Shaming does it again. It collects the most outrageous comments in reaction to Miss Davuluri.

Now I warn you people that some of the stuff that's posted is controversial so take discretion in viewing this.

This is a damn shame. A beautiful woman who worked her heart and soul into become a success squandered by a bunch of online jerks.

Miss Nina Davuluri is a American dream. She deserves the crown. Nobody should take that from her.
Stay beautiful.
Nina Davuluri (Telugu: నీనా దావులూరి; born April 20, 1989) is an American beauty pageant titleholder who was named Miss New York 2013, subsequently winning Miss America 2014. She is the first Indian American to be chosen as Miss America.

Davuluri was born in Syracuse, New York, but moved to Oklahoma at age four and later to St. Joseph, Michigan. She attended college at the University of Michigan. Along with her family, she moved back to the Syracuse suburb of Fayetteville in the mid-2000s, where her father is a gynecologist affiliated with St. Joseph's Hospital.

Davuluri was crowned as Miss America on September 15, 2013, the second Miss Syracuse to win the competition after Vanessa Williams in 1983. Congresswoman Grace Meng congratulated Davuluri and compared her win with the first Jewish-American title won by Bess Myerson in 1945. Several commentators noted that the title was a milestone for the Indian-American and the Asian-American community as a whole. Davuluri was left on stage with first Runner-Up Chinese-American Miss California Crystal Lee when she said, "We’re making history standing here as Asian Americans.

Davuluri was born to Telugu parents of Hindu faith. Her mother Sheila Ranjani, software engineer, and father Davuluri Koteshwara Choudhary both hailed originally from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India.

In 1981, they left for Missouri (United States), where her father worked as a gynecologist. Her maternal aunt and uncle in India are also doctors and run a nursing home, while her father’s siblings are doctors in the United States. Following the family trend, she wishes to become a cardiologist.

To honor her Indian roots, she became a trained Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam danseuse during her yearly visits to India. Davuluri has learned to play piano as well and she regularly watches Telugu films (Tollywood) to stay connected with India.

Davuluri attended the University of Michigan and has won several scholastic honors including the Dean's List, Michigan Merit Award, and National Honor Society Award. She graduated with a degree in Brain Behavior and Cognitive Science. In 2006 she placed Runner-up for Miss Teen America. She prepared herself a whole year for the Miss America competition. According to her grandmother Koteswaramma support came from "her mother, most importantly she has strong attachment to India and the city of Vijayawada," where she spent 2 years as a baby girl.

Remember the racist right was all upset during the Carrie Prejean saga. Prejean had said some controversial things about the LGBT community and the racist right believe that she was disqualified because she spoke conservative views.

Celebrity agitator Perez Hilton took to the internet to shame her and That Guy Who Helped Obama Win wasted no time trying to get Chief Roger to hire her as a commentator.

See how our country is!

Julie Chen: My Former Job Told Me I Looked Too Asian!

Reality host Julie Chen and her husband Les Moonves. The reality host is a part of The Talk and Big Brother. She revealed that her previous employer made racial slurs about her. Moonves is the CEO of CBS networks.

The Dayton, Ohio NBC affiliate WDTN, issued an apology to CBS reality television host Julie Chen after she revealed on her program The Talk about her issues with management during her time working as a news reporter.

The women of The Talk revealed the most controversial secrets and one happen to make the news was the conversation about "the looks". Chen being of Asian-American decent, was told by a television news manager that her looks weren't appealing to the audience forced her to get plastic surgery to replace her nose and facial cheek bones. She felt that she had to look "white" in order to get a job.
Sheryl Underwood, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Julie Chen host CBS The Talk. The daytime program is gunning for The View after three successful seasons.
On September 11, 2013 during the first week of Season 4 of The Talk, Chen revealed that she had undergone East Asian blepharoplasty early in her career after being pressured by a previous news director.

Julie Chen was a veteran news reporter came from WDTN. She worked the small market of Dayton, Ohio  for at least four years before she hit the big time circuit. She would later be terminated from her position.

Lin Media Group would issue an apology to Chen for her hostile treatment while working for the station.

While it was hurtful to her, Chen would build a name recognition for herself. Having anchoring for both CBS Morning News and The Early Show as well as hosting the summer reality-television series Big Brother, potential opportunities and true love happen to fall upon her.

Les Moonves, president and chief executive officer of CBS Television, began dating the Big Brother host during his marriage to Nancy Wiesenfeld Moonves. On April 22, 2003, a week after Les Moonves signed a five-year multimillion dollar contract with Viacom, his wife filed for divorce in L.A. Lin Media Group owns Dayton's media stations WDTN and WBDT. The channels are NBC and The CW affiliates. The CW of Dayton is the nation's most watched affiliate.
Divorce proceedings were delayed for almost two years due to financial settlement disagreements. On December 10, 2004, Moonves got a court to grant an early divorce, leaving spousal support and child support to be determined at a later date.

On December 23, 2004, Chen and Moonves were married in a private ceremony attended by friends and family at a private home in Acapulco, Mexico.

Remember that women of color are often discriminated in the workplace. Black women lead the way in discrimination. Then comes Native Americans, Latinas and Asian American woman. Women who are Muslim are often discriminated as well.
Comedian Sheryl Underwood.
Besides this, her co-host Sheryl Underwood was also in hot water after attacking Heidi Klum and Seal's children for being "nappy heads". She also made the news for having a twin sister die in birth and her family never mentioned this while she grew up.

The Talk is a CBS syndicated show that airs either in the mornings or afternoons in most affiliated markets. It replaced daytime soaps Guiding Light and As The World Turns. Singing Hearts!

John Legend marries swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen.

John Legend is a married man. The American singer has officially married Chrissy Teigen in a wedding ceremony in Italy.

The legendary singer was one of the first artists signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music and Sony Music.

He is a nine time Grammy award singer and entertainer. He also is a goodwill ambassador and a huge supporter and friend of President Barack Obama.

Born John Roger Stephens (born December 28, 1978) in Springfield, Ohio. He is one of four children of Phyllis, a seamstress, and Ronald Stephens, a factory worker and former National Guardsman.

Paparazzi snapped the picture of the couple in Italy getting married.
Throughout his childhood, Legend was homeschooled on and off by his mother. At age four, he began playing the piano and at age seven, he performed with his church choir. In 1987, when he was ten, his parents divorced. At the age of twelve, Legend attended North High School, from which he graduated four years later. Upon his salutatorian graduation, Legend was offered scholarships to Harvard University, Georgetown University and Morehouse College.

He attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied English with an emphasis on African American literature.

While in college, he helmed Counterparts, a co-ed jazz and pop a cappella group as president and musical director. Legend's lead vocals on the group's recording of Joan Osborne's "One of Us" received critical acclaim landing the song on the track list of the 1998 Best of Collegiate a Cappella compilation CD.

Legend was also a member of the prestigious senior societies Sphinx Senior Society and Onyx Senior Honor Society while an undergraduate at Penn. While in college, Legend was introduced to Lauryn Hill by a friend. Hill hired him to play piano on "Everything Is Everything", a song from her album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

During this period, Legend took time to hold a number of shows around Philadelphia, eventually expanding his audience base to New York, Boston, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. He finished college in 1999, and thereafter began producing, writing, and recording his own music. He released two albums independently; his self-titled demo (2000) and Live at Jimmy's Uptown (2001), which he sold at his shows. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Legend began working as a management consultant for the Boston Consulting Group.

During this time, he began working on his demo and began sending his work to various record labels.

In 2001, Devo Springsteen introduced Legend to then up-and-coming hip-hop artist Kanye West; Legend was hired to sing during the hooks of West's music.
Common, Kanye West and John Legend.
After signing to West's label, he chose his stage name from an idea that was given to him by poet J. Ivy, due to what he perceived "old-school sound". J. Ivy stated, "I heard your music and it reminds me of that music from the old school. You sound like one of the legends. As a matter of fact, that's what I'm going to call you from now on! I'm going to call you John Legend." After J. Ivy continued to call him by the new moniker "John Legend," others quickly caught on, including Kanye West, and the name stuck. In spite of John's reluctance to change his stage name to John Legend he eventually announced his new artist name as John Legend.

People Magazine reports that John Legend and Chrissy Teigen made it official when they exchanged vows in front of friends and family in Lake Como, Italy on Saturday.

The model bride wore a strapless ivory Vera Wang gown with an open back, lifted tulle skirt and hand-cut petal embroidered details, which she described to PEOPLE as "kind of [having] a sexier feel at the top, like a swimsuit, so I have to get my body ready. I have to buckle down."

Teigen changed into another strapless ivory Vera Wang dress for the reception – the design featured a micro-pleated bodice and sheared organza full skirt.

And at the after-party she had a third Vera Wang design of the night – a crimson strapless mermaid gown with a hand-draped bodice, inverted flange skirt and embroidered crystal wheat detail.

The nuptials follow a seven-year courtship for the couple, who became engaged in 2011 while vacationing together in the Maldives.

Earlier this year, Teigen, 27, told PEOPLE her Grammy-winning groom, 34, would perform his new song "All of Me" at the wedding, which was written for her.

John Legend, Jamie Foxx, Nick Jonas and Seal perform at The White House. John Legend is a friend of Barack and Michelle Obama.
"He writes a lot of love songs, but this one is specifically about me so it makes it more special," Teigen told PEOPLE in May. "My Dad even cries when I play it for him in the car."

The model bride was so careful about preparing her figure for the frock that her bachelorette party included Pilates classes.

But despite her rigorous attention to her physique, she says she was much more laid-back about wedding planning overall.

"[John] and I have been working and traveling so much that we just let our wedding planner do everything," Teigen told PEOPLE in May. "We're not neurotic about it. I just want to finally see all of my friends in one area."

But she cops to being a bit more involved in one aspect of the wedding – the cake.

"I'm not a big sweets person, which is why I'm really specific about the cake, which is going to be a really multi-layer cake," she told PEOPLE in June. "It's layers and layers of crepe and pastry creme in between with raspberry sauce."

With the wedding behind them, perhaps now is the time the couple will start thinking about all those kids Legend told PEOPLE he wants.

"We'd like to have kids," he said in May. "I grew up in a family with four kids, so I think three or four is a good number. We don't plan it. We just do it."

We here at Journal de la Reyna wish John Legend and Chrissy Teigen well. The Stephens are a perfect couple. Beautiful and very intelligent couple.

OMG! Son of a Prominent Republican Politician(John McCain) Married an African American Woman

John McCain's son married Capt. Renee Jessica Smith over the weekend.  Guess who attended their wedding?  It's none other than the perennial loser, Mitt Romney!  It's karma!  Scions of Republican/Right-wingers are getting stabbed in the back!  Their racist/classist/sexist ideologies are being exposed for what they are, disgusting pieces of propaganda.  I wonder if their white nationalist/supremacist/HBD friends of theirs think of their family members marrying Blacks and Browns, therefore contributing to the browning/tanning of America.

Already, racist right wingers at number 1 and number 2 are working up a storm over this one.

Here's the rest of the story of the wedding at:

LAPD Looking For Ex-Cop Involved In Murder Of Monica Quan!

Cal State coach and fiance was gunned down by former cop who plotted revenge.

Tragedy out of Los Angeles. A woman and her fiance were gunned down by a man who plotted revenge on the LAPD and those who associated with them. The woman coached basketball at Cal State (Fullerton) and her fiance was a public safety officer at the University of Southern California.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the families of Monica Quan and Keith Lawrence.

Also send our thoughts to those injured or killed by this deranged individual.

Okay, this is another reason for gun control. This also stirs the conservative/white supremacist bubble. Since this incident involves minorities (Black male, the shooter, the victims an Asian American woman and Black male), it's going to be another word salad of racial slurs, Obama name dropping and blaming hip-hop, rock music, and minorities.

This counts as another major issue involving firearms. When you hear more and more stories about individuals with firearms committing mass shootings, you start to realized that the time is now!

The next mass shooting could happen and you're there! And it happen to be the time you may have left your firearm at home or you didn't reach for it at the right time.

What will it take to get reasonable gun control?

Will it take a member of Congress or those involved in the NRA to be shot and killed by a deranged individual who had no business owning a firearm.
LAPD and the FBI are looking for Chris Dorner (left), a former police office and Navy Reservist who is a suspect in the shooting of Monica Quan and Keith Lawrence. The shooter also attacked LAPD officers who pursued him.
The case is making national attention and the FBI and Los Angeles Police are looking for Chris Dorner, a fired cop who shot the couple on Sunday. The couple were shot to death in a car near their apartment in Irvine.

The sad story is the woman's father is a police officer. Quan's father Randal was a former LAPD captain who tried to help Dornor from being fired.

CBS News reports that authorities are now searching for former LAPD officer and U.S. Navy reservist Christopher Dorner in connection to the killings of 28-year-old Monica Quan and 27-year-old Keith Lawrence. The couple was found shot to death in their car at Sunday night, Irvine police Chief David L. Maggard said.

Police said Dorner, 33, implicated himself in the killings with a multi-page "manifesto" that he wrote that included threats against several people, but would give no further details on the document or its contents.
Monica Quan and Keith Lawrence were gunned down by a former cop!
"We have strong cause to believe Dorner is armed and dangerous," Maggard said, adding that the LAPD and FBI are assisting in the case and anyone who sees the suspect should immediately call 911.

Dorner was with the department from 2002 until 2009, when he was fired for making false statements against another officer.

Randal Quan, who the LAPD said was the first Chinese-American captain in department history, retired in 2002. He later served as chief of police at Cal Poly Pomona and went on to practice law.

Police said Dorner's manifesto included threats against members of the LAPD.

"We are looking at the manifesto and will do an assessment in terms of the threat against those listed in it, and determine what level of protection each of them will need," Hayes said.

Police said he may be driving a blue, 2005 Nissan Titan pickup truck and his last known address was in La Palma, Calif., in northern Orange County near Fullerton.

According to court documents from October 2011, Dorner was fired from the LAPD after he made a complaint against his field training officer, Sgt. Teresa Evans. He said in the course of an arrest she kicked suspect Christopher Gettler, a schizophrenic with severe dementia.

Dorner was later fired for making false statements following an investigation.

Richard Gettler, the schizophrenic man's father, gave testimony that supported Dorner's claim. After his son was returned on July 28, 2007, Richard Gettler asked "if he had been in a fight because his face was puffy" and his son responded that he was kicked twice in the chest by a police officer, he testified.

Autopsies showed that Monica Quan and her fiancé were killed by multiple gunshot wounds in the parking structure at their condominium in Irvine, Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino said earlier Wednesday.

Lawrence was a public safety officer at the University of Southern California. The killings brought mourning and disbelief at three college campuses, Fullerton, USC, and Concordia University, where the two met when they were both students and basketball players.

It was reported that manifesto Dorner wrote targets LAPD higher ups. Fox News has the manifesto.

Dorner also attacked two other officers. He is considered armed and extremely dangerous (possibly suicidal). We will keep you informed here at Journal de la Reyna for the latest developments in this story.

Fashion Bug Closes!

Women's clothing apparel store closing up shop!

Women may find dismay in this story. The nation's low price women's clothing store is going out of business. In 2013, a new company took over and their vision is to stomp on Fashion Bug.

Ascena Retail Group Inc. has completed its buyout of Charming Shoppes Inc., which owns the chain, and now plans to close the remaining several hundred Fashion Bug stores by early next year.

Fashion Bug will join Catherine's, Lane Bryant, Justice and Dress Barn in the new wave of consolidation.

No telling how many jobs will be lost in the acquisition of this retail store.

The New York based firm will begin immediate closing of all stores by early 2013. Fashion Bug is a women's fashion apparel retailer located in strip shopping centers. Fashion Bug offers fashion apparel and accessories in plus and misses.

The Charming Shoppes is a specialty and plus size clothing retail holding company based in Bensalem, Pennsylvania; a suburb of Philadelphia. Its subsidiaries are Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, Cacique and Catherines Plus. Clothes are sold from over 2300 retail stores in the United States, as well as numerous catalogs and online sites. Charming Shoppes was founded in 1940, went public in 1971, and was ranked 810th on the 2010 Fortune 1000.

It's On!

Julian and Joaquin Castro are the power players in the Democratic Party. Julian is the mayor of San Antonio and thought to be a rumored 2016 U.S. Presidential Candidate. His brother Joaquin was elected to be a member of Congress.
Joaquin Castro, Tammy Baldwin, Ted Cruz, Kyrsten Sinema, Angus King and many others will join the United States Congress.

Castro, a Texas state representative won easily a U.S. House race and he'll take the seat of retiring Congressman Charlie Gonzalez (D-Texas). His twin brother Julian, is the mayor San Antonio, Texas and is floated by some as a potential front runner for the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election. Castro is one of the political voices the nation will be hearing from in the coming years. Joaquin being a resident of his brother's city will be a representative of his constituents.

Baldwin is a Democratic U.S. Congresswoman from Wisconsin. After a resurgence of embattled Governor Scott Walker, and former presidential nominee Mitt Romney picking Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin), Republicans saw Wisconsin in play for the 2012 U.S. presidential elections. The state was expected to be a pick up for the Republicans. They've thought wrong! President Barack Obama carried the state easily and it helped Baldwin squeeze out a victory in the U.S. Senate race against the former Republican state governor and perennial candidate for president Tommy Thompson. Baldwin is the first openly gay person to be elected to office. Her victory rides the coattails of Elizabeth Warren, a consumer advocate who trounced Senator Scott Brown (R-Massachusetts) in a hotly contest race.

King is the former governor of Maine. Best known for his independence from the political parties, his victory came as no surprise. The Republican senator Olympia Snowe was a sure shot for victory. Her frustration with her Republican leaders led to her departure. She is one of the few pro-choice members of the Republican Party. She and Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine) are looked upon by President Barack Obama when it comes to tie breaking votes in a filibuster. The Republicans were hoping that they could win back the Senate on the basis of frustration with the president. The president hasn't put much influence in the senate races because of him being slightly toxic in Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Florida, Missouri, Massachusetts, and Montana. Maine was different. Some residents were not fond of the direction of Tea Party endorsed Republican governor Paul LePage and Maine doesn't tolerate partisanship. The Democrats weren't fond of their candidate so they've decided put their efforts into a spoiler. King easily beat out the Republican and Democrat in the Senate race. And while it's likely he'll have committee with the Democratic majority, he'll push forth his brand of independence from the political fray. He and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) will be the only elected members who aren't politically affiliated with national party.

Arizona welcomes its first openly bisexual woman Kyrsten Sinema to the House of Representatives. The Democratic nominee beat out a tight race against a Republican Vernon Parker. Arizona and Florida are the hub of controversy in the wake of long waits for voting. The president in his victory acceptance speech promised he'll deal with voter intimidation.

Congressman Ron Barber (D-Arizona) may be able to squeak out a victory if the recount goes his way! He is a tough fight for a full term. Barber was also a victim of a tragedy. His boss Gabrielle Giffords resigned from Congress this year after a traumatic injury resulting from a shooting from Jarrod Lee Loughner. Loughner opened fire on her and others killing six and injuring 30. The shooter was sentenced to life in prison for the tragedy. He may face the death penalty for the killing of a federal judge. Barber was picked to succeed her.

Ted Cruz, the Tea Party endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate won easily in the race in Texas. The state of Texas is a Republican stronghold. But to senate-elect Cruz, he's stated: "Not so fast!" Texas is a minority-majority state. Over 55% of the state's population is minorities. So that means approximately 35% of the state's residents are non-White Hispanics (or purely Latino) citizens. Blacks are 10% of the state's population and 15% are of other races (Native American, Asian American or mixed). Whites make up only 45% of the state's population. It leaves it open for a Democratic takeover if the Republicans stop the war on minorities. The Republicans are still two feet in the manure over immigration reform. The Cuban-American was born in Canada, ran against Texas lieutenant governor David Dewhurst in the Republican senatorial primary.
Tammy Duckworth was elected to serve as a congressowman in the state of Illinois. She beat controversial politician congressman Joe Walsh (R-Illinois)
Tammy Duckworth beats incumbent Republican congressman Joe Walsh in a hotly contest race. Her victory comes after many years of delay from the obstructionist Republicans. The president wanted to appoint her as a member of  The perennial candidate for higher office achieved her goal of being a voice of the disabled veterans. Duckworth is the first Asian American elected in the state of Illinois. She served in the Iraq War in 2003 and was severely injured in an attack. Duckworth lost her right leg near the hip and her left leg below the knee from injuries sustained on November 12, 2004, when the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter she was co-piloting was hit by a rocket propelled grenade fired by Iraqi insurgents. She is the first female double amputee from the Iraq war. The explosion "almost completely destroyed her right arm, breaking it in three places and tearing tissue from the back side of it." Duckworth received a Purple Heart on December 3 and was promoted to Major on December 21 at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where she was presented with an Air Medal and Army Commendation Medal.

Mia Love: Tokens Please!

GOP candidate Mia Love was defeated in a hotly contested race in Utah. Congressman Allen West (R-Florida) was defeated in his reelection bid. They represent the rare exception of Black Republicans who garnered attention. Congressman Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) is the sole Black member in the Republican ranks.
Well I would say that Congressman Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) will be the sole Black member of a national party that consist of 94% White and 6% everyone else!

Congressman Allen West (R-Florida) was defeated in a razor thin election against a newcomer Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy, a businessman.

The U.S. Senate has achieved a milestone with a high record of women in its ranks but unfortunately no Black members.

The state of Hawaii introduced its first Democratic Asian American/Pacific Islander woman, senator-elect Mazie Hirono. Congresswoman Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) beats back former governor Republican Linda Lingle in the 2012 U.S. Senate race.

Mia Love, the mayor of Saratoga Springs, Utah was handed a defeat as well! The fight in Utah was supposed to be a game changer for the Republicans. This was a close call for the first Black woman in that state's history to run for Congress. She could have beaten Congressman Jim Matheson (D-Utah) in this one.

President Barack Obama, Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri), Senator Bill Nelson (D-Florida), Senator Dean Heller (R-Nevada), and Senator Jon Tester (D-Montana) survived tough reelection bids.

Elizabeth Warren, Chris Murphy, Tim Kaine, Tammy Baldwin, Heidi Heinkamp, Joe Donnelly, Deb Fischer, Jeff Flake, Ted Cruz, and Angus King, will take the helm of being the newly sworn senators.

So now as Mitt Romney faces the reality of defeat, his former running mate Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin) will at least keep his political feet in Washington. Ryan won his congressional seat.

Mitt Romney stated he won't run for president anymore!

Republicans have lost out! Hispanics and Blacks turned out strongly this time.

Republicans really need to get its focus on the American voting electorate. They've focused on discouraging the young voters, Black and Hispanic voters from going to the ballot box with intrusive laws like voter identification legislation.

The Republican Party better get with the program. Conservatism has to move into the future or suffer more losses in the 2014 U.S. Midterm elections.

The reason of color shading

Blue - Democrats
Red - Republicans
Green - Independent

K.O. For Racist Comic!

Racist comedian gets knocked out.

There's a viral video going around being sponsored by WPIX, New York's CW Affiliate. A comedian's awful performance wasn't the reason why he was knocked out! He got knocked out making fun of the Asian-American couple.

The young man jumped on stage and knocked the comedian out after he went into an anti-Asian rant.

I guess he's pretending to be Michael Richards. Richards, was the famed Seinfeld star who performed his role as Kramer. He got heckled by members of an audience. After the hecklers were told to leave, the comedian made a racist rant about Black people and said Nigger over five times and the comment "hanging y'all from trees!"

Some comedians who talk about race issues include Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Damon Wayans, George Carlin, Bill Cosby, Norm MacDonald and Eddie Murphy.

This comedian didn't study the masters.

Cosmo Girl!

Helen Gurley Brown the former editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan dies at age 90. She was the crowning of a new women's movement.

Brown's bestselling book Sex and the Single Girl was published. In 1965, she became editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan and reversed the fortunes of the failing magazine. During the decade of the 1960s she was an outspoken advocate of women's sexual freedom and sought to provide them with role-models and a guide in her magazine.

She claimed that women could have it all, "love, sex, and money", a view that even preceding feminists such as Betty Friedan and Germaine Greer did not support at all and has been met with notable opposition by advocates of grass-roots devotion of women to family and marriage. Due to her advocacy, glamorous, fashion-focused women were sometimes called "Cosmo Girls". Her work played a part in what is often called the sexual revolution.

In 1997, Brown was ousted from her role as the U.S. editor of Cosmopolitan and was replaced by Bonnie Fuller. When she left, Cosmopolitan ranked sixth at the newsstand, and for the 16th straight year, ranked first in bookstores on college campuses.

However, she stayed on at Hearst publishing and remained the international editor for all 59 international editions of Cosmo until her death on August 13, 2012.

In September, 2008, she was named the 13th most powerful American over the age of 80 by Slate magazine.

Three Waves--Each One White-capped: A Racist History of Feminism

Ain't I a Woman?  Are we WOC woman or not?

Once again, Julian Real is right on the money on this one.  Again and again, the needs of WOC, working class women, immigrant women, poor women, disabled women are disregarded by the mainstream feminist movement.
