| Trump wants Lisa Murkowski gone. |
Curmudgeon Alaskan senator is a prime target for MAGA come 2028 Republican primary.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) endorses the Democrat running for governor.
October Surprise.
Weeks after her fellow curmudgeon, former West Virginia senator Joe Manchin who now is an independent endorsed Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Mike Rogers, the former Republican lawmaker who running for senate in Michigan.
Murkowski broke with her party to endorse Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins.
“Our future is too important to be hamstrung by partisan divisions,” Murkowski, who was one of seven Republicans to vote to convict President Donald Trump in his 2021 impeachment trial, said in a statement. “Jonathan understands that governing requires listening to people with different perspectives and finding common ground to solve the problems all of us face. Alaska needs a serious conversation about our fiscal future, as well as a focus on the cost of energy and growing our economy. I believe Jonathan is committed to working toward solutions that serve all Alaskans, regardless of party.”
The senator’s father, former Republican Gov. Frank Murkowski, also endorsed Kreiss-Tomkins.
“I’m honored to have Senator Murkowski’s support,” Kreiss-Tomkins said in the statement. “Alaskans deserve a government that can work through disagreements and make progress on the issues that matter. I am committed to working with our congressional delegation, the legislature, industry, and communities across the state to move Alaska forward. That work requires cooperation, not political conflict.”

| Can Alaska elect a Democrat? |
Kreiss-Tomkins is facing off against three Republican candidates: Bernadette Wilson, Dave Bronson and Treg Taylor. Trump endorsed Wilson earlier this month.
Her independent streak has angered curmudgeon President Donald J. Trump.
Sen. John Fetterman (I-PA) is most despised lawmaker in Washington. Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Ron Johnson (R-WI), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Darline Graham Nordone (R-SC), Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Rand Paul (R-KY), Mike Lee (R-UT), Tom Cotton (R-AR), Josh Hawley (R-MO), Eric Schmitt (R-MO), Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), Katie Britt (R-AL), Rick Scott (R-FL), Tim Scott (R-SC), Jon Husted (R-OH), Bernie Moreno (R-OH), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Cory Booker (D-NJ), Jim Banks (R-IN), John N. Kennedy (R-LA), Steve Daines (R-MT), Roger Marshall (R-KS) and John Thune (R-SD) are the most hated members of the Senate.
Sens. Adam Schiff (D-CA), Jacky Rosen (D-NV), Mark Kelly (D-AZ), Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), Pete Ricketts (R-NE), Deb Fischer (R-NE), Cindy Hyde Smith (R-MS), Raphael Warnock (D-GA), Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Susan Collins (R-ME), Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Angus King (I-ME), Chris Coons (D-DE), Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Ashley Moody (R-FL) are becoming insufferable. Not hated, but not well liked either.
Oh, I forgot her partner Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK). He is facing off against former Democratic lawmaker Mary Peltola and another guy called Dan Sullivan.
This is the Great North.
