What more can do to make people vote for him? Maybe do "Boo dance" on TikTok US.
The Democratic Party is backing Maine governor Janet Mills as their candidate to take on incumbent Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME). Mills, 77 is a two term governor who is term limited.
Mills is backed by the Democratic Majority for Israel, an organization that is backed by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
Her biggest opponent is an oyster farmer who is a brash, somewhat unapologetic novice.
He is a former military official. Previously a U.S. military member and mercenary, he realized that our government is spending too much time on foreign interests. He is demanding that our lawmakers put more interest in Maine and not Israel.
Meet Graham Platner.
Platner, 41 is running on a populist movement. He is aggressively running on a platform of anti establishment and vows to make the message about "the needs of Maine."

Gov. Janet Mills wants one more notch. But are Maine voters done with career politicians?
The controversy.
Well a tattoo on his chest. His Reddit postings. His calls for resistance to the status quo.
Words not actions. He never inspired violence or made any impact on Maine.
Yes, he can be an asshole. It is free country. But if cares about changing the status quo in American politics, I am endorsing him over Mills.
The "safe choice" is only two points ahead of Collins. Platner is leading by six points.
Hypothetically, I have it as a Lean Republican.
In October 2025, various news outlets reported on past Reddit posts by Platner between 2013 and 2021 in which he called himself a "communist", declared that "all" cops are "bastards", and agreed with a post describing white people as "racist and stupid".
In a 2013 Reddit discussion about anti-rape underwear, Platner commented that people worried about assault should "take some responsibility for themselves and not get so fucked up they wind up having sex with someone they don't mean to".
He also referenced political violence in multiple posts; in 2018, he wrote: "Fight until you get tired of fighting with words and then fight with signs, and fists, and guns if need be." Platner also said that "an armed working class is a requirement for economic justice" and urged readers to "Get Armed, Get Organized. The Other Side Sure As Hell Is."
He said many of the comments do not represent his current political beliefs, and attributed them to disillusionment following his military service and struggles with PTSD.
Collins condemned Platner's internet history, calling it "terrible" and "offensive".
Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin said that while he did not approve of Platner's comments, he did not consider them "disqualifying".
Following these comments, Platner's political director, former Democratic state representative Genevieve McDonald, resigned from his campaign.
Later in the month, Platner said in an interview with Pod Save America that he has a skull-and-bones tattoo resembling the Totenkopf, a symbol worn by Hitler's Schutzstaffel. He explained that he and some other Marines got the tattoo while on leave in Croatia in 2007, not knowing its symbolism.
A SuperPac from Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is backing Mills. The Senate Majority Pac is trying to make the message about personality not Maine.
Platner is opposed to war in Iran. He demands Mainians pressure Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME), Rep. Chellie Pingree (D-ME), Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Sen. Angus King (I-ME) to oppose President Donald J. Trump's potential invasion of Iran.
This will set off World War III. We are already there.
He retweets from a far right agitator who is allegedly a neo Nazi. Peters is definitely a white supremacist. His rhetoric has not inspired violence against people. Yes, he is free to spew his rhetoric. I vehemently oppose his rhetoric.

How are we going to stop these anti-Israel Democrats?
However, even Peters sees the writing on the wall.
Why are about to trigger a global crisis?
Why are we giving our taxpayer money to Israel, why our streets are crumbling?
Why is Israel having better healthcare while Americans are becoming homeless trying to paying for hospital visits?
Stew Peters isn’t just a far-right conservative or a white nationalist; he’s a neo-Nazi.

Stew plays a central role in mainstreaming neo-Nazi propaganda to broader audiences.
It appears that Graham Platner has now deleted this quote tweet, but it wouldn’t have taken him much… pic.twitter.com/UoCjtbpOnV
Platner retweets the rhetoric of Peters and it got the attention of Yashar Ali, a gay media agitator who supports Israel.
From Platner's X post. He stated:
“As always, there’s one thing that brings Republican and Democratic politicians together: sending other people’s children to die in stupid wars in the Middle East.”

This is who Schumer and Collins support. A genocidal maniac.
Not even remotely controversial but since it was from retweet with Stew Peters..... uh oh.
We got a candidate endorsing the rhetoric of a Neo Nazi antisemite.
Peters wrote on X, “War with Iran is the only thing republicans and democrats have both given a standing ovation for. Let that sink in.” Peters posted.
Whether or not Platner knew who Peters was when he shared the post was unclear, but it’s certain he soon found out as Platner’s post was deleted within a few hours after being made.
