The second night of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago at the United Center.
This is a celebration of President Joe Biden and his Vice President Kamala Harris, Democratic nominee for president. She and Minnesota’s Gov. Tim Walz will accept their nomination on Thursday.
Former president Donald J. Trump and Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) will host events in Ashboro, North Carolina and Glendale, Arizona. Trump is still fuming over Harris being the nominee.
Trump and the Republicans are scrambling for ways to go after Harris and Walz.

Sanders, the independent senator will speak and formally endorse Harris.
The 2024 Democratic National Convention is an ongoing presidential nominating convention in which delegates of the United States Democratic Party will vote on the party platform and ceremonially report their vote to nominate Vice President Kamala Harris for president and affirm her choice of Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota for vice president in the 2024 presidential election. It is currently being held from August 19 to 22, 2024, at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Delegates nominated Harris for president through online and phone voting that lasted from August 1 to 5. Harris is the first Black woman and first South Asian person to be the presidential nominee of a major political party in the United States, and the first Democratic presidential nominee from the Western United States.
