Jason David Frank Passed Away!

Iconic actor and MMA fighter Jason David Frank passed away in Texas.

Actor and mixed martial artist Jason David Frank has passed away at the age of 49.

It is shocking news.

According to TMZ, the actor committed suicide after facing a bitter divorce from his wife.

Also losing his daughter Shayla may have pushed him to an edge.
During the divorce proceedings, Tammie Frank claimed that Jason was committing adultery and the marriage could not be repaired. She had a lawyer serve him divorce papers while he was doing a Comic Con appearance. She apparently got a significant amount of his licensing, assets and property.

She is a mixed martial artist and stuntwoman.

Perhaps best known as Tommy Oliver on the teen action series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, he had the role as the Green Ranger and White Ranger.

Long live The Green Ranger.

With his knowledge of many different styles of martial arts that include Shōtōkan, Wadō-ryū, Taekwondo, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Wing Chun, Jeet Kune Do, and Aikido, Frank collected the most practical applications, modified them with his own philosophies and created his own blend of American Karate, "Toso Kune Do".

Fans will remember ... he started out as the Green Ranger in Season 1, introduced at first as an enemy of the Power Rangers -- only to do a 180 and become good. After his powers start to deteriorate, however, he's turned into the White Ranger ... and tapped as the new leader of the group. Frank starred as one of the leads for 3 seasons, totaling 123 episodes.

Frank went on to reprise his role as Tommy in several adaptions of 'Power Rangers' -- including 'Wild Force,' 'Turbo,' 'Zeo,' 'Dino Thunder,' 'Megaforce,' 'Ninja Steel,' 'HyperForce,' and more. He's been a Red Ranger, a Black Ranger and a Green Ranger anew. Frank is a fan favorite Power Ranger ... which is why he's returned to the franchise time and again.

Jason and Tammie before the split. The two had a bitter divorce.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was an action series about five teenagers deputized to save Earth from the evil, debuted on Fox in 1993 and went on to become a pop-culture phenomenon.
