Tensions are high. 

Only a week ago, Young Dolph was gunned down inside a Memphis bakery. His death still simmers over the hip-hop community. The 36-year old rapper was at Makeda's Cookies buying snacks for his children when two men in a Mercedes Benz jumped out of their vehicle and shot at the business and striking him multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Chance The Rapper, Megan Thee Stallion and numerous others offered their "thoughts and prayers" and "hearts going out to" in regards to losing this talented rapper and business mogul. He leaves behind a son and daughter.

Now the Memphis Police, Shelby County Sheriffs and FBI are looking into the matter.

The tragedy also put high alert on rival rappers Yo Gotti and Blac Youngsta. The two had an ongoing feud with Dolph and many are fingering Yo Gotti as the mastermind behind the attack.

Many signal an ominous message on social media as Gotti's warning shot.

"Good morning: Don't value da things you don't have over the things you do!"

The rapper and his associates have been warned that their is potential for a retaliation.

Tensions are high in the hip-hop community. Young Dolph's death has all rappers watching their backs.

Even making jokes in the light of a deadly tragedy cost a comedian his life.

Memphis comedian Derrion "DMuney" Childs was gunned down in Memphis just days after Young Dolph was killed in the city.

According to SaycheeseTV, DMuney posted a couple distasteful posts on Facebook, following the news of Young Dolph’s tragic death.

“MANEEEEE THEM FOLKS JUST KILLED YOUNG DOLPH,” wrote the 21-year-old in a since-deleted post. “I LOVE MEMPHIS CUH WE SO GANGSTA,” adding laughing emojis at the end.

He then made a separate post, saying, “MANE CUHH IF YEEN FROM MEMPHIS OR IF YEEN THE POLICE JUST QUIT TRYNA SOLVE YOUNG DOLPH MURDER. THESE FOLKS DONE CAME & LOCKED MY GMA UP.”

According to The U.S. Sun, cops responded to a shooting that occurred on November 23 in Memphis. One of the three victims found was DMuney. One woman suffered non-critical injuries, and cops say another man was not injured.

Many are speculating that DMuney’s loss of life is related to his Facebook posts about Young Dolph. Just one day after Dolph’s murder, DMuney said, “if the news don’t post me as a Memphis legend when I die then they HATEDDDDD."

It never happens in your community....... Until it does! Every community in the United States will eventually have a legacy. A legacy of tragedy. Gun violence and COVID-19 will affect your town, your family and your life. So I don't want to hear that bullshit about how this gun reform is taking away your rights. I don't want to hear that protesting against police killing people of color is hate on cops in general. I don't want to hear talk about the coronavirus being a myth. I don't want hear folks say this is not white privilege. I don't want to hear folks say masks impede their freedoms. I don't want to hear the shit about guns saving lives. These incidents are a tragic part of American history.

We haven't forgotten about the many mass shootings in the United States. COVID-19 doesn't stop individuals from picking up firearms and killing others.

And I am getting fucking tired of white nationalists and their enablers of color complaining about the lack of Black fathers. The fathers are either killed by gun violence, police violence, COVID-19, heart diseases, diabetes, freak accidents and just being Black in America.
