A little bit of ignorance. A judge is being removed from the bench after a handful of misconduct came forward. This was in Talladega County, Alabama.
This probate judge was removed from the bench by a unanimous vote. This move comes after allegations of the judge using racial slurs and making inappropriate comments about women.
This Alabama judge claimed that George Floyd "got what he deserved."
Yeah, this is Alabama folks. A place where the Republican Party still embraces the losing side of the Civil War. The place where Klan is king. States like Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and South Carolina have a high Black population but yet the states vote typically Republican. It's almost a miracle for Joe Biden to take Georgia.
The judge who I refuse to name was removed by a panel after he said to employees at the height of the Floyd protests that "I don't see anything wrong with the police killing him" and that he "pretty much got what he deserved."
Darrius Pearson, a Black employee, testified in May 2019 that this judge saw his new car, he remarked that he could not afford one on his judge's salary.
"What you doing, selling drugs?" said the judge to Pearson.

The judge's lawyer said that the complaints against him are "concocted by a few disgruntled" employees and that the allegations of racist comments are "fabricated to generate antagonism with the public, the Court of Judiciary, and the media."
He doubled down: "I do not use racial slurs. I do not go off on tirades in the office."
He said that when the initial complaint was filed, "it shook me when it first happened" but that it later "moved me closer to the lord."
He often called women who dressed too revealing that they were bitches and whores. He said he would never want to see a fat woman dress like that ever.
These comments are damaging and he trying to appeal the ruling.
It would comes as no surprise that he's probably sentenced a lot of Black or Hispanic men in his courtroom. Those should come into question. Matter of fact, he should be stripped of his law license if the judge's behavior biased a handful of critical rulings.
