With the Blogger interface, it is getting harder to make blog posts. I am not kidding.

The way they rolled this interface out maybe the death knell for the once beloved media platform.

I am not going to lie, this is frustrating and I am going to make my postings shorter and quicker now.

An iconic baseball manager and colorful media personality Tommy Lasorda passed away at the age of 93. He managed the Los Angeles Dodgers to two World Series titles and later became the ambassador to the franchise. He is an iconic member of the Dodgers.

He been on the team for over 70 years.

The Dodgers said that he suffered  from heart failure at his home in Fullerston.

They tried to resuscitate him but it didn't work and he was pronounced dead at the local hospital.

Lasorda had a history of heart problems including a heart attack he had in 1996. It ended his career managing the team. However he would be a sideline commentator and coach to the Olympic baseball team.

He had another heart attack in 2012. He had a pacemaker installed in his heart.

He had returned home from a mild heart issue on Tuesday before he had this massive heart attack.

Lasorda attended the Dodgers Game 6 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2020 World Series. It was the first title since Lasorda's handling of the team. The last time they won the World Series title was in 1988.

Lasorda served as a special adviser to the team owner and chairman Mark Walter for the last 14 years.

ESPN said that he was a player, scout, manager and front office executive with the Dodgers dating back to their roots back in Brooklyn.

He was one of the legends of Major League Baseball. He will remain one of the greatest managers in baseball history.

Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, Thomas Charles Lasorda was an outspoken figure in the game. He was the obscenity filled tirade king. He would get lit on folks who made a bad call.

He wore the Dodgers number 2 which they retired in 1997.

Tommy was married to his wife Jo and had two children. His son Tommy, Jr. (Spunky) has since passed and his daughter is Laura.
