With the Blogger interface, it is getting harder to make blog posts. I am not kidding.

The way they rolled this interface out maybe the death knell for the once beloved social media platform.

I am not going to lie, this is frustrating and I am going to make my postings shorter and quicker now.

Former actor Dustin Diamond was rushed to the hospital this week. it was confirmed that he has stage 4 cancer. Diamond used to be on the NBC teen sitcom Saved by the Bell.

He realized that he had a bad swelling in his throat.

The 44-year old entertainer went to a local hospital after complaining about not feeling well. It was revealed by his publicist that the entertainer was tested and they found cancer.

Diamond was best known for his role as the loveable geek Samuel "Screech" Powers. 

Diamond had a fallout with co-stars Mario Lopez, Elizabeth Berkley, Tiffani Thiessen and Mark-Paul Gosselaar. He still maintained a friendship with Dennis Haskins, who played Mr. Belding, the school's lovable principal.

Diamond and Lark Voorhies were not a part of the Save By The Bell reunion. Both entertainers were battling with drug abuse and allegations of mental illness.

With the reboot of the teen sitcom turned into a drama being streamed on Peacock, Diamond declined to appear as Screech. 

Diamond felt that the show made him a typecast. It hurt his ability to succeed post-Save by the Bell.

Save By The Bell was an amazing franchise.

Originally started as a Disney children's sitcom called Good Morning Miss Bliss, the show transitioned to NBC after Disney cancelled the show after one season. It originally started as a group of middle school kids at John F. Kennedy Middle School in Indiana. The show's star Hayley Mills passed on the rebranding. The show was rebranded as Save by the Bell and managed to keep Diamond, Haskins, Gosselaar and Voorhies. They added Thiessen, Berkley and Lopez to the show. They retooled as high school students at Bayside High School in a fictional California town. The show would call the Good Morning Miss Bliss episodes the lost season.

Diamond played Screech throughout the series. As Screech, he was best friends with Zack Morris (played by Gosselaar) and A.C. Slater (played by Lopez). He often had a huge crush on Lisa Turtle (played by Voorhies) and sometimes had girlfriends.

Diamond stayed on the series throughout its run. He even appeared on Save by the Bell:The New Class and had used his character and likeness at comic book conventions and public events.

While living in Wisconsin, he got into an altercation with a man who was bothering him over his character role. Diamond stabbed the man. The entertainer took a plea deal and was ordered to spend time in the iron college and get anger management.

Again, Diamond turned down the role of Screech in the reboot. The Save by the Bell series streaming on Peacock is a comedy-drama which features the cast of the original as either main characters or guest.
