This album was delayed by his former co-boss Bryan "Baby" Williams (aka Birdman). This became a major controversy where Lil' Wayne declared he's "through" with Cash Money Records.
This became a major legal battle where the two rappers engaged in a lengthy court battle which just recently ended in August. Lil' Wayne was released from his obligations to Cash Money and was granted his album masters, the full obligations of his label Young Money and its publishing.
The album has features from Snoop Dogg, Swizz Beatz, Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Nivea, Sosaman, Mack Maine, Ashanit, Kendrick Lamar and his own daughter Reginae Carter.
The album has features from the late XXXTenacion on the single Don't Cry.
Cash Money Records was the longtime home of Lil' Wayne. He brought on Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga to the label. Tyga left the labels in 2015. He launched his own label Last Kings and has released albums independently.
Only Drake and Nicki Minaj continue to have their album releases on both Cash Money and Young Money Records.
Many people were expecting him to release the album last week. But who would of thought he would release a 31 track album.

Fans are still hungry for Weezy. The album was delayed for six years. Lil' Wayne was stuck in limbo.
The rapper wanted to do collaboration albums with 2 Chainz, T-Pain, Juelz Santana and Drake.
Despite the legal battle with Cash Money, Lil' Wayne managed to get the album out.
