Drake Washed The Shoe Polish Off His Face!

Shoe shine boy.
Kanye West went to Wyoming to release his album Ye. He has a seven track album similar to labelmate Pusha T. More on this in the next post.

Okay, Pusha T decided to hire a private investigator to unearth an embarrassing picture of Drake donning blackface. The rapper did a promotional for a clothing company and it generated some controversy.

King Push was salty about the Duppy freestyle. So he added an eighth track to DAYTONA. The diss entitled The Story of Adidon went brutal on the Canadian rapper. Some are waiting four days now saying Drake, "where ya at?"

The song and the picture dominated the junk food media for awhile now.

Drizzy and the company publicly spoke out on it.

Mind you, this feud started when Pusha T ran Infared. He mocked Drake for using a ghostwriter on a few of his songs. He claims that Drake's persona is fake.
All bets are off. Everything is on the table. - Pusha T said on The Breakfast Club.
Drake in return said that Pusha T is another tired "I'm a dope boy turned  rapper." He said the rapper is milking off this feud for attention.

Drake was an actor on Degrassi as Jimmy Brooks. He went by his government name Aubrey Graham. The rapper claims that Black entertainers were often typecast.

Too Black Guys, the clothing company said that it was doing a photo shoot but said that Drake did the right thing.

“The collection featured several graphics that highlighted the painful and dangerous period of the Jim Crow Era. Too Black Guys has a history of representing the black experience in an unapologetic way,” he said. “Although this was not an image from any of our photoshoots, we feel that Drake, who is a long- time friend of the brand, was brilliantly illustrating the hypocrisy of the Jim Crow Era. The subtleties of Drake, a young black man, mimicking how white men used to mimic and dehumanize black people may be lost in a rap battle but we should not be distracted from the issues that are still affecting our communities.”

Yes, this is minstrel. Drake donning blackface annoys me. However, Pusha T ain't a rocket scientist, either. He annoys me as well. He paid someone to find a picture. He doesn't seem like the type to spent time researching things. His perception of being a guy who pushed cocaina assured that.

Both rappers are guilty as charged. Pusha T wasted more time trying to prove to the world that Drake sells more than him. Think about it. If you're that obsessed with knocking rappers for having ghostwriters, corny hooks, dance styles and pop friendly music, find a new line of work.

That music sells. End of discussion.

Radio stations don't play that "I'm from the streets" shit. Benzino, Joe Budden, KRS-One and yes, Pusha T do not get radio play. Their music doesn't appeal to white people (namely white women).

Drake makes way more music and paychecks than Pusha T, the co founder of Kanye West's hip-hop label G.O.O.D. Music.

Pusha T wanted to make a point that it hurts his bottom line. Yeah, I agree.

In the long term, it hurts everyone. These rap beefs usually land someone in the courtroom, the iron college or the 6 foot hole.
