Typhoon Haiyan!

Superstorm Haiyan destroys Filipino cities.

Okay, I know we're here in the United States not worried about what's going on in the world.

But seriously, there's a massive weather event equal to Hurricane Sandy.

Typhoon Haiyan is considered one the worst disasters in world.

It slammed into the Republic of the Philippines. It is estimated that over 20,000 people may have lost their lives to the deadly storm.
Major damages are report across the southern tier of the Philippines.
This storm was a catastrophic F5. Similar to the Hurricane Katrina and the Sandy model, Haiyan is thirtieth named storm, thirteenth typhoon, and fifth super-typhoon of the 2013 Pacific typhoon season, Haiyan originated as an area of low pressure east-southeast of Pohnpei in the western Pacific Ocean on November 2. Tracking generally westward, the disturbance steadily developed within an environment of light wind shear and warm sea surface temperatures, becoming a tropical depression early the following day.

The cyclone caused devastation in the Philippines, particularly on Samar Island and Leyte, where at least 20,000 people are estimated to have died in the city of Tacloban alone.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to those who were lost in this horrible tragedy.

White Man Lies Black Gets Elected!

Perennial candidate Dave Wilson won an election based on racial deception.

Sometimes I click on Mediaite for the most sensational stories of the week. One in particular is the White man who won an election running as a conservative Republican, but pretending to be a Black man.

If you believe conservatives are that desperate to win, well meet the elected Dave Wilson.

Wilson is a staunch conservative Republican who has no care for the Black community, the Latino community, undocumented workers, and the LGBT community.

In the state of Texas (home of Governor Rick "Oops" Perry, Louie "The Dofus" Gohmert, Steve "The Douche" Stockman, Stallmigo Ted Cruz and perennial loser Ron Paul) this Dave Wilson guy pulled the "Okie Dokie" on many voters.

In a predominately Black area in the city of Houston, Wilson went for the "Hail Mary" pass in an election.

He ran for the board of trustees at the Houston Community College.

He managed to upset Bruce Austin, a longtime trustee in a razor thin election race.

His previous attempt was to become mayor of Houston, the 4th largest city in the United States. He tried to run against Annise Parker, the longtime mayor who is openly gay. He's been running for office more than once.

Wilson puts on a radio ad that makes the ad sound like its a Black man speaking about issue on behalf of the community.

Wilson also pushed direct mail pieces, adorned with pictures of African Americans that Wilson admitted to pulling off the internet, that read “Please vote for our friend and neighbor Dave Wilson.” The fliers also claimed an endorsement by “Ron Wilson”—the name of a longtime African American state representative from the area, but also the name of one of Wilson’s relatives in Iowa. In the fine print, the flier noted “Ron Wilson and Dave Wilson are cousins.”

What's worse is this guy is not apologetic about this.

He actually thinks his victory was a "success" and all that talk about the Black Ron Wilson being a "cousin" is just a "joke".

It's ironic that New Jersey governor Chris Christie won his reelection overwhelmingly. He managed to carry about 38% of the Hispanic vote and 35% of the Black vote respectively. He managed to reach out to those who would normally never vote for a Republican. He warned Republicans that they better know their voters!

Republicans still have a bit of unease when it comes to Black and Hispanic voters. The  Republican Party and its allies in the conservative movement look upon people of color as well as Muslims as "natural born criminals" and "gubmint depindants" worshiping the alter of "Brother Barack".

That's probably why the party is 90% WHITE and 10% EVERYONE ELSE!

Republicans are just like cocaine, it's white and whatever else! There's at least something powerful in it when you're getting a high! Republicans are high on stupid.

Find Us!

Missing adults and children.

The Huffington Post gets a GIF of all the missing adults and children that the junk food media refuses to cover.

It's kind of unique that many Americans aren't hearing stories about these people.

Everyone I've known has heard of Natalee Holloway, JonBenet Ramsey, Elizabeth Smart and other tabloid based stories about the alleged perpetrator.

You've heard stories about Philip Dane Kasparites, Joseph Dominic Lugo, Edward Moore, Tenisha Moss, Juliet Riffey, Kimberly Sanborn, Robert Lee Taylor, Nicole Waller, Brittany Walls, and George "Skip" Zelaya.

We here at Journal de la Reyna wish safe return for all who are missing.

The Grim Ripper Marked Detroit!

Renisha McBride of Dearborn Heights was shot and killed while approaching a porch. She was looking for help. This adds to the three men who lost their lives in a mass shooting at a Detroit barber shop.

America's most roughest city had a series of mass shootings this week.

Me and S. Baldwin will cover them.

Now of course, this is Black on Black crime. A common topic among the racist right. It's in the rust belt city of Detroit, Michigan. Of course, conservatives hate the city. They believe its the fault of the Democratic Party for the city losing over 33% of its population. They automatically blame President Barack Obama for the problems in Detroit. The city demographics show that over 80% of its residents are Black and the city median income is $45,000 at base level. The city's population is at 703,000 at present time.

Detroit is marked as the nation's most dangerous city. It beats St. Louis, Oakland, New Orleans and Cleveland, Ohio.

These gun shootings in Detroit managed to agitate the racist right and of course stirs thoughts of the perpetrators of these incidents being "OBAMA'S SONS".

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences Renisha McBride, Bryan Williams, Joezell Williams, and Kevin Perryman who lost their lives in these senseless tragedies.

There was a shooting on Seven Mile in a barbershop that some labeled as a front for illegal activity.

At Al's Cuts, a brawl happened in the back of the barbershop after words were exchanged after a craps game. One managed to pull the trigger setting off a chain of events that led to some being filled literally with lead.

As many as 30 people were in the area and at best ten were shot. Three were killed.
Bullet holes from a high powered weapon are seen in the wall and back door of a barbershop on Seven Mile Road, where the night before a shooting occurred, in Detroit
Bullets in the backdoor of the barbershop. Three people died from a shooting after a brawl during  illegal gambling event.
Reuters report that some of the men inside the room were armed and at least one fired back in a crime that stood out for its violence even at a time when the city, which filed for bankruptcy in July, is facing its highest murder rate in decades.

Police have detained one man who they said was wearing body armor and was involved in a feud with several members of the gambling party. He is being held on an unrelated felony assault charge and will be questioned by homicide detectives.

A witness in a pickup truck pulled up to the back of the barbershop and was fired upon by a gunman in another vehicle.

When the truck fled, the gunman got out of the vehicle and used a high-powered rifle [likely an AR 15] to shoot through an open door to a small room in the back of the barbershop.

Bryan Williams, 29, Joezell Williams, 61, and Kevin Perryman, 40 were the victims of the gun shooting.

Detroit Police have a man in custody. They haven't released his name but he's 31 years old and has a strong connection to the events that happened.

Earlier, a woman from Dearborn Heights was shot by someone after she was asking for help.

Renisha McBride was only 19 years old and was asking neighbors for help in the wake of a car accident.

Who would of thought that her goodwill and pleas would be met with a bullet in her head?

CBS News reports that McBride's cell phone was damaged. There wasn't a phone within the area, so she heads to the door of the man who shot her. Somehow he shot the woman in the back of her head.

He had no remorse other than he claimed it was "self-defense".

Renisha McBride was killed by a shotgun blast.

Family members say that McBride had gone to the home after her cell phone died following a car accident. They say McBride was shot in the back of the head when she turned to leave.

"He shot her in the head ... for what? For knocking on his door," McBride's aunt Bernita Spinks told the Detroit News. "If he felt scared or threatened, he should have called 911."

Tragedy in Detroit.
"You see a young black lady on your porch and you shoot?" Spinks said. "There was no window broken. My niece didn't bother anyone. She went looking for help and now she's dead."

Police say they've identified the person who shot her and requested a warrant in the case. The Wayne County prosecutor's office says it sent the request back to police Wednesday for additional investigation before making a charging decision.

What do you think of these situations?

Do you believe it was reckless behavior created by the owner of the barbershop to allow illegal activity to happen around his business?

Do you believe that the owner of the house had a right to shot an unarmed individual who pounds on the door in the early morning?

What could be done to curb gun violence in America?

What could the residents of Detroit do to improve the image of this great city?

Cold Turkey!

Jobs report tells of modest growth but still rose because of government shutdown.

Jobs report out and even though there were a decent number of jobs, the government shutdown really screwed up a lot of progress. The unemployment rate ticks up to 7.3%.

The Department of Labor released the numbers and it was 204,000 added for the month of October.

CNBC reports that a net 204,000 new jobs created for the month, though the unemployment rate rose to 7.3 percent and households reported a huge drop in employment, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said. A separate measure that includes the underemployed and those who have quit looking also moved higher, from 13.6 percent to 13.8 percent.

The numbers easily topped economist expectations of 120,000 new nonfarm payroll jobs for the month, though it matched estimates for a slight increase in the headline jobless rate.

The data gave markets a brief jolt. Interest rates surged, with the 10-year Treasury climbing 0.13 percentage points to 2.73 percent, the highest since mid-September. The stock market plugged forward though, notching modest gains in early trading.

Leisure and hospitality led the way in job creation with 53,000 new positions, 29,000 of which came from bars and restaurants. Professional and technical services added 21,000 while manufacturing contributed 19,000, according to the establishment survey of businesses.
Federal employment dropped by just 12,000.

Though the jobs creation number jumped, there was a mixed bag of news. The civilian labor force tumbled by 720,000 and the labor force participation rate fell to its lowest since March 1978.
The worst legislative body, ever!

Most startlingly, the household survey actually saw employment fall by 735,000 for the month.

"While the furloughed government workers technically should be counted as employed in the nonfarm payroll count as part of the establishment survey, at the same time they are counted as temporarily unemployed in the household survey," said Kathy Bostjancic, director of macroeconomic analysis at The Conference Board. "The negative impact from the partial government shutdown on the nonfarm payroll employment count doesn't seem to have affected the private sector at all."

The government's birth-death model, which estimates jobs created and lost through recently opened and closed businesses, added 126,000 to the total.

The numbers were expected to be noisy due in large part to the government shutdown and generally speaking have been on a modest downward trajectory lately.

Numbers from previous months saw upward revisions. August's total jumped from 193,000 to 238,000, while September's disappointing 148,000 got pushed up to 163,000, pushing the 12-month average up to 190,000.

Softening in the data had tempered expectations for a change in Federal Reserve monetary policy. The central bank had been indicating earlier in the year that it might start pulling back on its $85 billion a month in bond purchases, but three meetings have gone by since taper talk began in May, with no changes.

This week, two teams of Fed economists presented papers suggesting that the unemployment rate probably should drop to 6 percent or 5.5 percent before increasing interest rates. The Fed's short-term target rate has remained near zero since the financial crisis.

"Oddly enough, those on Wall Street will be disappointed as tapering talk will again resurface, thus squashing any idea of a would-be Gatsby rally today," said Todd Schoenberger, managing partner at LandColt Capital.

Obama: Sorry Y'all! I've Messed Up!

Obama News forces President Barack Obama to admit he broke his promise.

Takes a bold man to say "I'M SORRY".

But if you're the President of The United States, nothing will satisfy his detractors.

An exclusive interview on Obama News with Chuck Todd, President Barack Obama discusses the improvements with the Healthcare Marketplace. He told the Todd that he's disappointed with the rollout and wants it fixed quickly.

When confronted on the "If you like your healthcare, you can keep it!" remark which been fodder for conservative agitators, the president simply apologized to the Americans who lost insurance because of the Affordable Care Act.

Yeah, it's happening and there's are some who are upset over that.

He admits that he is disappointed in the rollout of the healthcare law and empathizes with those who lost insurance. He regards this as a failure of his leadership and hopes to get things moving in the right direction.

While the junk food media is so obsessed with the "you can keep it!" line, I just happen to take a look at the website and just look for the best option for health insurance.

The health insurance industry is making money hand over fist. They don't worry about how they distribute the product, almost all insurance companies rather see pay for junk polices. That means you pay over $550 a year for insurance that will not cover a catastrophic disease.

Americans are slowly starting to see the benefits of the healthcare law. There are some who are actually satisfied with the Healthcare Marketplace.

A website isn't the full piece of a law. It's just a portion of it. The junk food media over exaggerates stories to appeal to a core base of viewers. Most networks fear being labeled as "liberal" so they put these bogus stories out there to appeal to the conservative viewers.

And since he's in his second term and Republicans can't defeat him (seeing he's term limited), they can only say "I GOTCHA" and "I TOLD YA SO!"

It's a part of the political football President Barack Obama faces as the leader of the United States.

If you're that focused on that damn website and its turmoils, that's you! But seriously, we really need to focus on those who can gain affordable healthcare coverage.

It's only fair to see my rates down because I don't have to spend thousands of dollars for others who have no insurance.

The conservative agitators already pounced on the comments. Loserville has been in the forefront of trying to find every former Obama supporter to discuss their frustration with the website.

NOTICE THAT MOST FORMER OBAMA SUPPORTERS (OR DEMOCRATS) ON LOSERVILLE ARE WHITE MEN OR WOMEN! NO PEOPLE OF COLOR ARE FEATURED ON THE NETWORK.

IF THEY WERE, THEY WOULDN'T BE INVITED BACK, EVER!

Here's the interview from Obama News and the Loserville follow ups with "former Obama supporters".

Stallmigo Rand Paul Is Upset That Rachel Maddow Exposed His Plagiarism!

Stallmigo Rand Paul got his panties in a bunch when the liberal agitator Rachel Maddow exposed him for lifting quotes off the internet.

From the filibuster to the plagiarism, from his perennial loser of a father to the drunken son, U.S. Senator Rand Paul, Republican of Kentucky, is a pathetic politico.

Again, why are we giving The Stallmigos airtime?

Why are we giving Republicans too much airtime?

I understand that President Barack Obama's 2009 comments were a disaster. But his comments don't kill anyone. If you just have patience and decent health insurance you have nothing to worry about.

Unfortunately, everything the president says is prime restate for conservative agitators.

The Kentucky senator has no legislative accomplishments but gets so much attention.

People speculate that he'll be running for Republican nomination.

But his latest mishap may have him scrambling.

Paul refuses to debate Rachel Maddow. When he won the nomination for the Republican senate bid, he went on her show to discuss his past statements. He now heads to Sean Hannity's (aka That Guy Who Helped Obama Win) program. Of course, Maddow ratings increased and That Guy got his ass demoted.
While campaigning for failed gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli, Paul lifted quotes off Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. While in the beginning he denied the charge, he blasted his critics.

One in particular is a common foe. Obama News liberal agitator Rachel Maddow put the spotlight on the Stallmigo's constant idiocy.

After the dust settled, he finally acknowledged that "maybe" some of his quotes were lifted off of Wikipedia.

Well it didn't suit well for The Washington Times. They immediately dropped his opinion columns.

The people over at Breitfart couldn't resist taking a wounded member of the conservative movement. They welcomed Paul with open arms and now he'll be throwing his two coppers to the right wing extremist blog.

Yeah, one happy ending right?

NOPE.

Because it proves to the general public that if you don't have the temperament to handle criticism, then you have no business ever running for president.

That's why you wouldn't see perennial losers Ron Paul, Sarah Palin (aka Palin Da Ass), Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann and Newt Gingrich no where near the White House. They'll never taste the opportunity of being a leader. They'll just be who they are!

A bunch of bitter losers!

Don Lemon: [Black Folks] Were Safe Under NYPD's Stop & Frisk Policy!

CNN anchor pissed off Black America with his endorsement of stop-and-frisk policies by law enforcement.

On the Tom Joyner Radio show, CNN anchor Don Lemon delivers the Black perspective in America.

This week's edition of his Black perspective may have pissed off listeners. It may eventually cost him a place on the legendary radio host show.

CNN's Don Lemon is a very successful Black journalist. He is an openly gay news anchor who was a victim of rape when he was a child. He overcame his terrible ordeal to become a well respected journalist and talk show host.

His endorsement of the NYPD's controversial stop and frisk policy is a slap in the face to the hundreds of individuals being stopped without probable cause.

I am guessing that Lemon was discussing his take on the Barneys situation in which a 19-year old college student was stopped by undercover NYPD officers after he purchased a high end belt from the luxury department store.

Even media mogul Jay-Z was caught into this situation. Barneys endorsed his products and namesake last year and many agitators in the junk food media are calling for Jay-Z to renounce his support.

Jay-Z on his part told the media that even though he disagrees with the handling of the matter, why should he end a relationship with a company that helps him motivate young people become entrepreneurs?

He doesn't support stop-and-frisk, but should he just stop everything because of every incident in New York. He wants to help but boycotts and renouncing companies aren't helpful.

Somehow Lemon said that police were not always very respectful of the people they stopped, but that tampering with the "formula that has reduced crime in New York City" could be very dangerous.

Tom Joyner, a nationally syndicated radio host.
"The question is, would you rather be politically correct or safe and alive?" he concluded.

Black, Latino or practicing Muslim are often profiled by law enforcement as "natural born criminals".

The NYPD faced criticism last month due to the incident in which a group of motorcyle riders attacked a man and his family after the man ran over a cyclist. Some of the riders were undercover agents. One even participated in brutally attacking the man.

Lemon's comments come in a long line of criticism of Black America.

He touched off a firestorm when endorsed Bill-O's rant about how Black leaders (President Barack Obama, Rev. Perm and Cut His Nuts Off Jackson) were "tone deaf" to Black on White crime.

Lemon believes that "US BLACK FOLK" ain't right. In his opinion, "US BLACK FOLK" are so fixated on Lil' Wayne and LaBron James. He believes that young minds are trying to be entertainers and athletes aren't the key to Black success. He believes that some Black people like Trayvon Martin's friend Rachel Jantel dialect is "too ghetto" and "not suitable for court".
Undercover police stop and frisk two Black individuals.
Lemon also called out Black America for homophobia. He believes that young men who put on this act of being "tough and not into that stuff" is coded for closet homosexuality.

Lemon's words comes as many Black conservatives and some Black liberals share their "teachable moments" in the gray area.

I don't agree with the statement of Lemon when it comes to the stop and frisk policy. I don't want to be profiled for being Black.

I believe that law enforcement profiling people of color is wrong. I understand that if I am in a bad neighborhood or associate with unlawful individuals, it invites itself to being profiled.

I agree law enforcement and the Black community are like distant cousins. We need to work on the relationship so that Black men don't always fear the sirens or the light. I don't want to be a resident of the iron college.

But in no way I want my freedoms violated by a law enforcement officer if he has no probable cause to do so.

Around 2008, Tom Joyner fired Tavis Smiley from the program after he was making too many criticism of then candidate Barack Obama. Smiley is one of the harshest critics of President Barack Obama from the left. He and Dr. Cornel West have openly attacked the president for not doing much for the Black community.

They unfortunately give Black Republicans like Herman Cain, David Webb, Allen West, Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), Jesse Lee Peterson, Alveda King, C.L. Bryant, and Deenen Borelli the hyperbolic talking points about President Barack Obama not caring about Black people.

These folks have missed the point over 32 years ago. Maybe they need to look back to the 1980s when supply side economics were passed in Congress and signed by The Gipper.

That was the beginning of the gap between rich and poor. Yeah, it may have been a great economy for some, but in the 1980s, the poor and needy became the drug abusers. The poor and needy fought for their share.

It sparked the global outbreak of AIDS. It created the crack/cocaine and heroin epidemic.

This continues today. It hasn't changed and it won't change until we get lawmakers who can relate to the Black community. Instead of electing Democrats and Republicans, how about we elected rational people who understand the plight of all Americans.

The Gipper (Ronald Reagan) created the mess and Barack Obama is trying to clean it up.

The Politics Of Love!

Bill de Blasio is America's mayor. The new mayor of New York City celebrates a huge victory with his wife, Chirlane McCray. They been together since the 1990s. McCray is openly bisexual.

Hey, we've covered the closely watched political races in Virginia and New York City.

Did you know that two of the candidates running were married to Black women?

Well that's something I want to share with you here on Journal de la Reyna. Me and S. Baldwin have talked about women of color for a long time. The junk food media will be looking forward to meeting the mayor's wife Ms. de Blasio.

Bill De Blasio was born Warren Wilhelm, Jr. in Manhattan, New York, the son of Maria (née De Blasio) and Warren Wilhelm. His father had German ancestry, and his maternal grandparents, Giovanni and Anna, were Italian immigrants from the city of Sant'Agata de' Goti in the province of Benevento (where his mother's surname is spelled with a capital "D" — De Blasio).

Chirlane I. McCray is a writer, poet, editor, communications professional and political figure. She has published poetry and worked in politics as a speechwriter. She is married to New York City Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio and is the mother of their two children, Chiara and Dante.

McCray met Bill de Blasio in 1991, when they both worked at New York City Hall for Mayor David Dinkins. At the time, de Blasio was the aide to a Deputy Mayor and McCray was a speechwriter. McCray and de Blasio fell in love, and in 1994, were married in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.

Asked about her sexuality, McCray has stated that she hates "labels".

In 2012, when asked about her 1979 essay, she commented: "In the 1970s, I identified as a lesbian and wrote about it. In 1991, I met the love of my life, married him."

McCray and de Blasio are the parents of two children, Chiara and Dante, and live in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

Well wishes to the new mayor of New York City.

And even though Libertarian nominee Robert Servis was roundly defeated in the race for governor in Virginia, he at least opened up about his personal life. He is married to a Black woman.

Here's some pictures of Robert Servis' wife.

Libertarian candidate Robert Sarvis and his wife Astrid.
According to his campaign website, Robert Sarvis is of mixed-race (White and half-Chinese) and open-minded (supports gay marriage and marijuana legalization). He is well-educated and technologically savvy.

Astrid Servis is a pediatrician originally from Greenville, Mississippi. They are raising two beautiful children in Annandale, Virginia.

Many Republicans blame Robert Servis for being a spoiler in the election. He pulled 8% of the general election vote. The vote could have made a difference in Tea Party endorsed candidate Ken Cuccinelli's bid for the governor's mansion. The Republicans have big problems trying to incorporate people of color into their party.

The only Republican of color in nationally elected office is Tim Scott, the U.S. Senator from South Carolina.

MY PERSONAL TAKE ON INTERRACIAL LOVE

Now I am single. I've been on social networking websites like Facebook, POF, Badoo and OKCupid for dating and social hook ups.

Color doesn't matter to me. As long as the woman loves me for who I am, then I am satisfied with her. I don't discriminate against a person's race when it comes to relationships.

However whenever I see these profiles on the social networks from some saying they don't date "INSERT RACE", I shake my head with disgust.

Single individuals have the right to say their interest in dating. That's perfectly fine. But to say "I DON'T DATE [INSERT RACE]" will guarantee a lifetime of being single.

I understand some don't like overweight people and a particular race. It's understandable. But that shouldn't be a reason for not dating that person. You're negativity will ensure you failure with love.

I mean could it be simple as pie if you just ignore the messages and not engage in contact with the person who you're not suited to. That's if you have such a strong disliking towards that person.

Why on earth would you create a dating profile if not interested in the various individuals who could be your suitor?

Conservative Agitators Refuse To Accept Defeat!

Conservatives are pissed that the establishment didn't aid Tea Party backed candidate Ken Cuccinelli in his failed bid for governor of Virginia. Cuccinelli in defeat has the Rick Santorum smug.

Now that Terry McAuliffe was elected to be the governor of Virginia, many conservatives believe that the Republican challenger Ken Cuccinelli's defeat was a classic OBAMA (or perhaps a CLINTON) set up.

Because they showed up to help a fellow Democrat win. And even though the polls showed a narrow victory, McAuliffe actually "lost". The junk food media said he had a huge lead, but as soon as President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden showed up, his double point lead shrunk.

Wow, they're saying that if the third party candidate wasn't in the race, Cuccinelli would have won.

Somehow it's believed that if third party candidate manages to strip away a crucial block of voters, the top-tier nominee loses.

So this is what the bitter losers of this election think. They're blaming President Barack Obama for their badly prepared candidate for governor.

The Republican infighting will hand the Democrats victories in the U.S. Midterms.

Getting news off The Fizzle through That Guy Who Throw Shit To The Wall's website, some notable conservative agitators are fumed that Cuccinelli was defeated. The conservative agitators think that a former Obama bundler's contribution to a third party candidate chipped away the Republican nominee's support.

The defeated Cuccinelli and his supporters blame Libertarian nominee Robert Sarvis for their loss. I mean, Sarvis is a conservative who believes in the mindset of perennial loser Ron Paul. That block of Republicans didn't want the bombastic (in your face) nonsense that Cuccinelli provided to Virginia.

Even the racists in the political party can't stomach E.W. Jackson as his running mate. Even though there's a separate election for the lieutenant governor, the notion of having a Black extremist as second banana is too much for Republicans to swallow. So that's probably why it's a loss for Cuccinelli.

In the matter of being a registered political party voter supporting an opposing party: There's nothing wrong with it.

I mean somehow it's a sin for a Republican to vote for a Democrat and vise versa. Because no one told me that I had to follow the party line when I want to vote in an election. I mean if a Democrat wanted to vote for a Republican, it's perfectly fine. Chris Christie, the Republican governor of New Jersey won. He won with a portion of Democratic support. Despite being a conservative Republican, Christie managed to win over hearts when Hurricane Sandy landed on the beaches. And he worked with the opposition to get things done.
Obama warned Republicans not to listen these agitators. They once again handed Republicans another defeat.
Refusing to acknowledge that the Republicans aren't popular. Not understanding that Americans who are registered Republicans disapproved of the government shutdown. I am guessing Republican voters are tired of the bitter fights over Obamacare. Even some Republicans need a portion of the safety net and their elected leaders continue to cut and cut the very stability of the economy.

Yeah, President Barack Obama isn't popular as he was during the first term, but he's a whole lot better than House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

The conservative agitators didn't understand that Cuccinelli was tied to the governor Bob McDonnell.

During his last term, McDonnell was in a scandal that could sent him to federal time out

Virginian voters knew that Terry McAuliffe wasn't the first choice. But since Republicans aided and abetted in the government shutdown, it cost them a chance to hold on the governor's mansion.

No Longer A Blockbuster Night!

Blockbuster logo
Blockbuster Video will close all American and Canadian stores by the end of December.

Once the nation's largest video rental service, Blockbuster went through a whole lot of changes.

Unfortunately, it's not working for the better.

You can't make it a Blockbuster Night anymore!

It's announced that Blockbuster will end domestic services for all its stores worldwide. That means it will close all stand alone stores effective immediately. It will also mean that current owner DISH Network will take the unusual step of absorbing the remaining portion of the company into a new entity.

With the rise of Netflix, Hulu and YouTube, many people weren't spending money in the DVD and VHS rental stores.

Yeah, VHS is so like so long ago, people.

Blockbuster tried to compete with it and lost.
There were less than 200 stores left by Blockbuster. They will be closed soon.
Now all the United States and Canadian stores are going to be officially closed by the end of December.

All international stores will be operational but with limited naming rights and partial support from DISH Network. It means that the independent franchises will switch names.

Kind of sad though, Blockbuster use to have over 11 locations in my community.

Family Video is now the undisputed video rental service in the United States.

Republicans Panic: Dem Sweeps!

Virginians elected a Democrat as their governor

They won 1 of 3 contest for this off year election. The city of New York welcomes Bill de Blasio, the first Democratic mayor in 20 years.

The Democrat landslides Republican Joe Lhota in a race that centered around the "I'M NOT MICHAEL BLOOMBERG" theme. Bloomberg, a former Republican who became an independent won three terms as New York's mayor. During his three terms, he became an advocate for gun control, curbing sugar and salt in restaurants, an increase on fares, an increase on cigarettes, curbing obesity in children, NYPD's stop and frisk policy (and Muslim extremist counter intelligence).

Bill de Blasio.jpg
Bill de Blasio, New York's new mayor.
Some of these endorsements from Bloomberg were extremely controversial.

In a fiercely contested Democratic primary, former Congressman Anthony Weiner was hoping to make a political comeback. All of that soured when it was revealed that he was sexting a woman his privates. Yeah, the very same stuff that drummed him out of Congress.

In the closely watched race in the new BELLWEATHER state of Virginia, Terry McAuliffe is now the governor-elect. McAuliffe defeats Ken Cuccinelli, the state's attorney general. It became one of the most contentious races out there. Both candidates were politically weak but McAuliffe managed to tie Cuccinelli with the extremist within the Republican Party (aka TEA PARTY).

The Democratic Party is getting their groove back. Despite the Republican onslaught against the Affordable Care Act's website, it didn't help them win. The government shutdown really put damages on the brand.

The stallmigos Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz tried to helped Cuccinelli but failed.

Perennial losers Mitt Romney and Ron Paul's coat tails didn't help either.
I'll drink to that! - Gov-Elect Terry McAuliffe.
Republicans can at least say they have Governor Chris Christie (incumbent, governor-elect) as a victory. But you know how Republicans feel about Christie. They hate him because he embraced President Barack Obama during Superstorm Sandy.

Republicans still searching for that rainbow!

They can't find that niche. They have no real leaders in the party.

President Barack Obama warned Republicans that supporting these extremists will result to defeat. King Hippo (Rush Limbaugh), That Guy Who Helped Obama Win (Sean Hannity), That Guy Who Throws Shit To The Wall (Matt Drudge), and Loserville (Fox News) catered to extremists.

Don't be surprised to see Democrats lining up opponents that could defeat the Republican controlled House of Representatives.
