A once promising future goes down hard. Now folks are calling for others to follow him. Did you know that Sean "Puffy" Combs stepped down from Revolt Television?
And did you know that he has three additional lawsuits against him?
Jonathan Majors had ties to Combs.
Majors was expected to reprise his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe this coming spring but that was scrapped. He was dropped from the production and his management severed ties with him.
Majors was convicted Monday of assaulting his former girlfriend after a two-week trial that the actor hoped would salvage his damaged reputation and restore his status as an emerging Hollywood star.
A Manhattan jury found Majors, 34, guilty of assault and harassment. He was also acquitted of a different assault charge and of aggravated harassment. Majors, who was asked to stand and face the jurors as the verdict was read, showed no immediate reaction, looking slightly downward.
His sentencing was set for Feb. 6.
The charges stemmed from a dispute between the “Creed III” actor and his girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, that began in the backseat of a chauffeured car and spilled into the streets of Manhattan one night last March.
At one time, they were a couple. Now they are rivals.
Jabbari, a 30-year-old British dancer, accused Majors of an attack inside the vehicle that left her in “excruciating” pain. She said he struck her in the head with his open hand, twisted her arm behind her back and squeezed her middle finger until it fractured.
Majors’ lawyers said she was the aggressor, alleging that she flew into a jealous rage after reading a text message on his phone sent by another woman. They said Jabbari had spread a “fantasy” to take down the actor, who was only trying to regain his phone and get away safely.
The verdict dealt a major blow to Majors, who was on the verge of Hollywood stardom until his arrest in March sent his career into a tailspin.
Once slated to lead the next phase of the Marvel universe as the supervillain Kang the Conqueror, Majors faced an uncertain future with the lucrative franchise after the abuse charges. The actor, who attended the Yale School of Drama, has lost other parts and endorsement deals and seen his critically-acclaimed drama, “Magazine Dreams,” pulled from its scheduled release earlier this month.
Majors arrived in the courtroom each morning carrying a gold-leaf Bible, offering hugs to his family members and his current girlfriend, actress Meagan Good, before taking his seat. Expressionless for much of the testimony, he wiped away tears as his attorney, Priya Chaudhry, urged jurors to “end this nightmare for Jonathan Majors.”
But as Majors sought vindication from the jury, the trial also brought forth new evidence about his troubled relationship with Jabbari, whom he met on the set of “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” two years ago.
Accusing Majors of a “cruel and manipulative pattern” of abuse, prosecutors shared text messages that showed the actor begging Jabbari not to seek hospital treatment for an earlier head injury. One message warned “it could lead to an investigation even if you do lie and they suspect something.”
They also played audio of Majors declaring himself a “great man,” then questioning whether Jabbari could meet the high standards set by the spouses of Martin Luther King Jr. and Barack Obama. Majors’ attorneys countered that Jabbari had surreptitiously recorded her boyfriend as part of her plot to “destroy” his career.
Over four days of tearful testimony, Jabbari said Majors was excessively controlling and prone to fits of explosive rage that left her afraid “physically quite a lot.” She broke down on the witness stand as a jury watched security footage from the aftermath of the backseat confrontation, which prosecutors said showed Majors “manhandling” her and shoving her back in the car “as if she was a doll.”
Majors has a new beau and she sticks with him.
Majors did not take the stand. But Chaudhry said her client was the victim of “white lies, big lies, and pretty little lies” invented by Jabbari to exact revenge on an unfaithful partner.
The attorney cited security footage, taken immediately after the shove, that showed Majors sprinting away from his girlfriend as she chased him through the night. Jabbari then followed a group of strangers she’d met on the street to a dance club, where she ordered drinks for the group and did not appear to be favoring her injured hand.
“She was revenge-partying and charging Champagne to the man she was angry with and treating these strangers to fancy Champagne she bought with Jonathan’s credit card,” Chaudhry alleged.
The next morning, after finding Jabbari unconscious in the closet of their Manhattan penthouse, Majors called police. He was arrested at the scene, while Jabbari was transported to a hospital to receive treatment for the injuries to her ear and hand.
“He called 911 out of concern for her, and his fear of what happens when a Black man in America came true,” Chaudhry said, accusing police and prosecutors of failing to take seriously Majors’ allegations that he was bloodied and scratched during the dispute.
In her closing arguments, prosecutor Kelli Galaway said Majors was following a well-worn playbook used by abusers to reverse the narrative by casting their victims as attackers.
“This is not a revenge plot to ruin the defendant’s life or his career,” Galaway said. “You were asked why you are here? Because domestic violence is serious.”
Republicans are calling it election interference and are blaming President Joe Biden.
Biden never instigated an insurgency against his own government while in office.
Many Republicans believe Biden purposely set up the Jan. 6 rioters. They believe his Justice Department was responsible for the arrest of those who participated in the insurrection.
The fact is, in the last two weeks of Donald J. Trump's presidency, he protested the U.S. Congress certifying the election results for Biden. He called upon then vice president Mike Pence to reject the results and decertify ballots in six key states. He called upon Republicans in the House and Senate to vote against certification. This led to his infamous "fight like hell" speech. His supporters rioted at the Capitol and caused damage. They didn't achieve the goal. Over 1,500 people were identified and arrested.
Some were celebrities, former police, former military and even elected officials.
As the riot happened, Trump refused to call the National Guard. He sat in the dining room of The White House watching the chaos unfold. It took over three hours and during that time, Trump recorded a pretaped message demanding the rioters go home but reiterated the election was stolen. He was impeached by the House and acquitted by the Senate. Republicans refuse to hold him accountable.
He is still the frontrunner in the Republican presidential nomination race.
By default, a Republican primary candidate won the state of Colorado, it's just not Donald J. Trump. He is lucky they didn't throw him off the general election ballot.
Trump fumes at the state Republican Party and Colorado Supreme Court for disqualifying him from the 2024 primary ballot. Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley and Chris Christie will be allowed on the Republican Party primary ballot.
When Trump encouraged his supporters to storm the U.S. Capitol to protest Joe Biden being certified president, he intentionally wanted a violent insurrection.
Colorado saw that as a perfect example of a constitutional violation and sought to remove him from the primary ballot. The Colorado Supreme wrote in a 213 page briefing, that stated that Trump clearly and willingly sought to disrupt the 2020 election.
Trump will certainly fast track it to the Supreme Court and get a federal ruling
The Colorado Supeme Court handed down a 4-to-3 decision that set off a firestorm of praise and anger. On Tuesday, the decision stated that Trump had engaged in insurrection and therefore barred by the 14th Amendment from holding federal office.
“This is a major and extraordinary holding from a state supreme court,” Derek Muller, a law professor at the University of Notre Dame, wrote on the Election Law Blog. “Never in history has a presidential candidate been excluded from the ballot under Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment. United States Supreme Court review seems inevitable, and it exerts major pressure on the court.”
The majority on Tuesday said every key legal issue came out against Trump.
“The sum of these parts is this: President Trump is disqualified from holding the office of president,” the majority said in an unsigned opinion, saying that his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results amounted to engaging in an insurrection and that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, ratified after the Civil War, bars insurrectionists from federal office, including the presidency.
Section 3 of the Civil War-era 14th Amendment says: “No person shall ... hold any office, civil or military, under the United States ... who, having previously taken an oath ... as an officer of the United States, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.”
Courts have ruled against similar efforts to get Trump banned from the ballot in Arizona, Michigan and Minnesota. The plaintiffs challenging Trump’s eligibility in Michigan filed an appeal to that state’s high court on Monday.
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel on Tuesday said the Republican Party will help Trump in his legal fight.
“This irresponsible ruling will be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court and our legal team looks forward to helping fight for a victory,” she said on X. “The Republican nominee will be decided by Republican voters, not a partisan state court.”
The Colorado Republican Party, meanwhile, began fundraising off the court’s ruling in a post on X, asking supporters to help "keep Trump on the ballot and fight this election interference now."
Under Donald J. Trump and now Joe Biden, Congress is continuing to be unproductive when Republicans have control of the House of Representatives. Every time Republicans have a majority in the lower chamber, they end up gambling their chances because of their own members refusal to do their jobs. They always have theatrics whenever they have votes, hearings and public events.
The 118th Congress is just as bad as Joe Biden in polling.
Every time President Joe Biden aides Israel, his poll numbers decline. Biden could lose reelection if he doesn't change his stances on Israel and fight back against Republican propaganda painting him a senile man.
Republicans put up an impeachment inquiry with no evidence against Biden. They are stalling nominees and military promotions. They are trying to block judicial nominees.
They managed to pass 20 bills into law.
Republicans could lose the House and possibly the Senate.
The 118th Congress is far below even historically unproductive first years: The 104th, 112th and 113th Congresses, in which Republicans controlled one or both chambers with Democrats Bill Clinton and Barack Obama in the White House, passed between 70 and 73 laws.
For a handful of Republican members, it's always an appearance on Fox, Newsmax, OAN, Real American Voice, MSNBC, CNN, talk radio, Info Wars, X and other far right platforms.
Infighting continues.
Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) resigns after Dec. 21.
George Santos was forced out after he was indicted for numerous criminal acts.
Over 20 Republicans are retiring for the private life or looking to be headaches in the Senate or a governor's mansion.
The productivity of the 118th Congress is so bad, it makes you wonder......
Why the vilifying of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)?
The unusually productive 117th Congress, in which Democrats controlled both chambers and the White House, passed several pieces of marquee legislation including a bipartisan infrastructure law and the Inflation Reduction Act.
Biden underwater too.
Pelosi had done more with a five seat majority than McCarthy and his successor Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA), current House Speaker.
Pelosi did more to help George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Donald J. Trump and Joe Biden than Dennis Hastert, John Boehner, Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy and Mike Johnson.
Pelosi did the right thing when she impeached Trump twice for his abuse of power.
When the Jan. 6 riots happened and they destroyed Pelosi's office, she maintained her cool and vowed to move forward the electoral college. Pelosi did open up to Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), then House Minority Kevin McCarthy that Trump will be held accountable with them all agreeing to it. McCarthy and McConnell about faced in the end.
When a terrorist broke into her San Francisco home and savagely beaten her husband Paul, the far right demonized her with sexist and homophobic accusations. They claimed that the terrorist was a gay lover and the whole thing was made up. Elon Musk shared some bullshit on X about the incident. Pelosi maintained her cool, condemned the terrorist and said that her effectiveness as House Speaker has Republicans going crazy.
No terrorist has threatened McCarthy or Johnson. Terrorist have threatened Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Gerry Connally (D-VA), Mary Gay Scanlon (D-PA) and Angie Craig (D-MN) faced threats.
I would have preferred Conor Lamb as the U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania, but they voted for John Fetterman, the former lieutenant governor to be their senator.
Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) is the 51st U.S. Senator. With Democrats in modest control of the Senate, things aren't getting done. With the distractions of Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) stalling President Joe Biden's agenda as well, the last thing we need is another one.
Pat Toomey got fed up with the Senate and the lack of an agenda from Republicans. He retired. MAGA thought it would be a good time to win.
When Fetterman had a stroke, many hoped he would step down and the Democrats would nominate a better candidate. He stuck in there.
When the Republicans nominated a carpet bagger named Mehmet Oz over Black Republican Kathy Barnette, it made Fetterman use every shock tactic to defeat him.
Many Democrats thought he was annoying, uncouth, sloppy and utterly out of touch with Pennsylvania voters.
Even the fact, he chased a Black jogger with a firearm when he was the mayor of Braddock, Malcolm Kenyatta and Conor Lamb failed to use this to defeat him.
Fetterman ran in 2016 but was eliminated from the ballot. Katie McGinty, a former aide to then governor Tom Wolf became the nominee. Thanks to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and his supporters who voted for Jill Stein and Donald J. Trump, Pat Toomey won his reelection.
Fetterman ran like a populist. He ended up winning because Oz was too polarizing and Pennsylvania voters did not want a celebrity lawmaker. They already have Trump. Tom McClintock would have trounced Fetterman if he was the nominee.
Fetterman did poorly in Pittsburgh, Scranton and Philadelphia with Black voters.
Still we carried this oaf to victory and yet he managed to betray the very voters who fought for his victory.
So Israel.
“I’m not a progressive,” Fetterman told NBC News. “I just think I’m a Democrat that is very committed to choice and other things. But with Israel, I’m going to be on the right side of that. And immigration is something near and dear to me, and I think we do have to effectively address it as well.”
Fetterman is a staunch supporter of Israel. He was eating a local bar in Pittsburgh when a Jewish Voice for Peace activist confronted him over Israel's genocide against Gazans.
A Fetterman staffer shoved him out the bar.
Fetterman started his immature trolling. When protesters confronted him in Washington, DC, he mocked them and waved the two small Israeli flags at them and stuck his tongue out at them.
When protesters were at his office in Pittsburgh, they called upon him to come outside.
His staffers said the senator was busy and they have to make an appointment.
Fetterman has now decided to abandon his populist views.
Fetterman calls for Democrats to engage on tougher immigration laws, disappointing some on the left as he shows an independent streak.
He’s also continually scolding Democrats for not pushing Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) out of office after he was indicted on federal charges of taking bribes and acting as a foreign agent for Egypt, which the New Jersey Democrat denies.
Fetterman is opposed to a longtime steel manufacturer being sold to a Japanese company.
US Steel has agreed to be bought by Nippon Steel, the largest steelmaker in Japan in a $14 billion deal. It is the latest step in a gradual decline for the iconic 122-year-old company, which was once the largest company on the planet.
Under the terms of the deal, US Steel's operations will retain the name and will continue to have a U.S. headquarters in Pittsburgh.
However, the sale agreement could face opposition.
The United Steelworkers Union vowed back in the summer to only support a proposed purchase offer from Cleveland Cliffs, another unionized American steel company.
Houthis in Yemen warn the U.S. to stop giving aid and comfort to Israel.
President Joe Biden and former president Donald J. Trump are hardline supporters of Israel. And it will cost them big time come election time. Democrats are likely going to suffer the most out of this.
When nearly 60% of the Democratic Party supports a ceasefire, Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Democrats in Congress ignore them. The price of ignoring Democratic voters will cost them big time.
Israel is facing pressure.
Yemen is taking action against Israel by banning it commercial sea traffic from its coastal waters in the Red Sea. They are telling Israeli ships to find another route. If Israel continues to deny humanitarian assistance to Gazans and keeps the genocide going, Yemen will permanently block Israel from entry into its territorial waters.
So like always, Israel plays the victim and calls upon the United States to aid its ships through the Red Sea.
So thus, the U.S. may be preparing to engage in war with Yemen.
Top Biden administration officials are actively weighing options to strike back at Houthis in Yemen after the Iran-backed group launched new attacks on naval and commercial ships in the Red Sea on Saturday, according to two U.S. officials.
The Pentagon has in recent days moved the Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group from the Persian Gulf into the Gulf of Aden, off the coast of Yemen, to support a potential U.S. response to attacks, said one of the officials, both of whom were granted anonymity to speak about sensitive plans. The military has also provided options to commanders to strike the Houthis, the official said.
The Biden administration has been reluctant to respond militarily against the Houthi attacks on [Israeli] commercial shipping in recent weeks for fear of provoking Iran, which backs Hamas and Hezbollah in Yemen as well as the Houthis. Previously, the Pentagon had recommended the administration not do so.
But a significant uptick in attacks in recent days could potentially lead top U.S. national security officials to change their calculus.
The destroyer USS Carney, operating in the Red Sea, shot down 14 one-way attack drones launched from Houthi-controlled territory in Yemen early Saturday morning. Meanwhile, a British destroyer, the HMS Diamond, which had recently arrived in the region to help protect commercial shipping, also shot down a Houthi drone.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and war criminal Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
On Friday, a Houthi drone struck the Liberian-flagged Motor Vessel Al Jasrah in the Red Sea, causing a fire. The same day, Houthi forces also launched two ballistic missiles toward the Bab el-Mandeb strait, one of which struck the Liberian-flagged Motor Vessel Palatium 3. U.S. warships responded to the attacks at the time.
The Zionists are really desperate in quelling the global movement. The movement to end the occupation and Israeli apartheid of Palestine will see fundamental change in American politics.
From theRiver to the Sea, Palestine will be Free! 🇵🇸 🍉
Cry more.
I am just done with him. I am done with Biden and it is a damn shame that my red line is foreign influence. I can get over the fact I work two jobs to survive. I can get over the fact that the federal government is by far the most laziest since Republicans have taken back the House. I can accept that inflation is causing pain to my wealth. I can get over the lack of legislation that could help Americans find prosperity and a sense of feeling good about the economy. I can get over the fact that Biden is 80 years old and he can run for reelection. I understand the Democrats are trying to prevent Republicans from passing legislation that allows illegal gerrymandering, abortion bans, book bans, religion bans, bans on LGBTQ youth and adults, banning the teaching Black and indigenous history and the throwing out of votes if they don't accept defeat.
Biden's support for Israel will be the red line for me. Democrats supporting AIPAC and backing Republicans in equating anti-Zionism with anti-semitism will keep my wallet closed when candidates need funding to win primaries and general elections.
Mind you, Israeli intelligence failed to acknowledge the fact that Hamas resistance planned where to hit and specifically knew how their arrogance will be exposing them.
Hamas stated clearly that they are targeting the occupiera and their forces. They are not raping women, beheading babies, using human shields, launching nuclear weapons, reading Mein Kampf, revealing their top secret plans, hiding in underground tunnels and aligned with D'aesh.
Republican "power couple" faces calls to disappear.
Republicans sure love two things: sex and badgering.
As explained in earlier postings, Republicans sure have this obsession with gay sex and adult entertainment. They are quite secretive about their lifestyle outside the bigotry, the nonstop whining and the totally fucked up hypocrisy.
Donald J. Trump is the perfect example of the neverending hypocrisy within the Republican Party. He has federal and state charges, numerous lawsuits, allegations of sexual abuse, confirmed allegations of sexual abuse, bleeding money and running for president again to stay out of prison. He messed up with the economy, handling a global pandemic, tried to overthrow the government, constantly lies about everything and wants to be an authoritarian. Trump should be not the Republican nominee. He is a danger to America.
Moms for Liberty co-founder Bridget Ziegler and her husband Christian are in some serious trouble. Bridget had sexual encounters with women. Christian has an allegation of sexual abuse and rape.
Christian Ziegler is suspended as chairman of the Florida Republican Party.
Ziegler, who is under criminal investigation for allegations of sexual assault, including rape.
The vote came during an emergency meeting of the Florida GOP’s state executive committee in Orlando, a gathering that was called as the Sarasota Police Department investigates allegations Ziegler raped a woman in early October in her Sarasota apartment.
Ziegler did not respond to a request seeking comment. He has not been formally charged and has denied any wrongdoing.
The party leaders voted to make Ziegler’s salary $1 and strip him of most of his power as chairman, transferring that authority to current Vice Chair Evan Power. The party was unable to vote to oust Ziegler during the Sunday meeting, but plans on doing so formally next month.
“Today the Republican Party of Florida took a step to hold our chairman accountable for his action,” Power said. “We will follow through in removing him from power, but I implore Chairman Ziegler to do the right thing and resign.”
Ron DeSantis wants them out.
Nearly every major Florida Republican, including Gov. Ron DeSantis, has called on Ziegler to resign, but he has so far resisted. In a letter to party leaders earlier this month, he called the allegations “false,” and he’s been taking counsel from former Trump administration officials Steve Bannon and Corey Lewandowski, who have encouraged him to fight the ouster. Lewandowski has worked on political campaigns with Ziegler in the past.
“Christian pushed back today and tried to justify to the board that if he was able to pull through that he would have donors who could help, which I thought was pretty tasteless,” said Michael Thompson, who chairs the Republican Party of Lee County. “It was very egotistical.”
The investigation by the Sarasota Police Department is focused on rape allegations brought by a woman whom Christian Ziegler and his wife, Bridget Ziegler, had known for 20 years, according to a search warrant affidavit. The couple were planning on having a consensual sexual encounter with the accuser, but the woman tried to cancel when she was informed Bridget would not be there, the affidavit said. Christian still showed up at her apartment and allegedly raped the woman, the affidavit said.
Sarasota police have not confirmed or denied the authenticity of the affidavit, was first reported by the Florida Center for Government Accountability and shared with NBC News.
Bridget Ziegler, co-founder of the conservative group Moms for Liberty is not accused of wrongdoing but has had to resign her post as a director for the Liberty Institute, which trains conservative political candidates. And the Sarasota County School Board, of which she is a member, last week passed a resolution calling for her resignation.
The U.S. Secret Service confirms that a Delaware man crashed into one of the president's motorcade vehicles. President Joe Biden and First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden were not injured or in danger.
However, the motorist did get firearms drawn and yanked out his vehicle.
While in Wilmington, Delaware at the Biden-Harris 2024 headquarters, the Bidens leave and they noticed a large presence near the motorcade. A man rammed his vehicle into the SUV with the motorcade.
The vehicle had likely his medical and senior staff members.
Biden paused and looked over toward the sound, surprised, before he was ushered into the vehicle, where his wife was already seated, before being driven swiftly back to their home. His schedule was otherwise unaffected by the incident.
The Secret Service did not immediately comment on the incident.
Moments after Biden responded to a question from a reporter a silver sedan with Delaware license plates hit what seemed to be a motorcade SUV shielding the motorcade at the intersection across from the entrance of the campaign headquarters, the pool report stated.
Biden notices the accident. Secret Service rush him and Dr. Jill Biden out.
Television footage showed Secret Service agents escorting Biden to his car after the impact.
The silver sedan, which sustained damage to its bumper, was quickly surrounded by security officers after it stopped. Agents cornered the car and pulled weapons on the driver, who held his hands up.
The Beast is a special armored limousine or a SUV with the Presidential Seal. The president is protected in well armored vehicle with two trained U.S. Secret Service snipers within inches. The president is also well trained to fend off would be attacks as well. They just don't discuss it because its classified.
Do not ever think Joe Biden, Donald J. Trump, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush are not trained in physical contact defense. They are well trained to fight if necessary.
Coney Island, Cincinnati's oldest amusement park closes.
Located 10 miles from Downtown Cincinnati, one of Ohio's oldest amusement parks is shutting down for good. Coney Island, an amusement park that sits on the banks of the Ohio River will shut down for good on Dec. 31.
"Thank you, loyal patrons, for your support over the years. We will miss your smiles and enthusiasm. We have been proud to provide a place where so many wonderful memories were created for families. We thank the millions of patrons and employees from Cincinnati and surrounding neighborhoods. You made this a special place for all of us."
Since 1870, Coney Island had served over 23 million visitors and has a place in Cincinnati.
The park sits adjacent to Riverbend Music Center and Belterra Park Racino [formerly Riverfront Downs]. Beginning in 1870, the original owner called the area Parker's Grove, which was later renamed Ohio Grove, The Coney Island of the West after the Ohio Grove Corporation purchased the park in 1886. The name was shortened to Coney Island the following season. Over the years, the park expanded with dozens of rides and attractions, leading to its popularity as an amusement park destination.
As they are celebrating their last festival of lights, the amusement park will pull the plug on everything in preparation of a new musical amphitheater in the works.
The park was acquired by Music & Event Management Inc. (MEMI), which is a subsidiary of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO).
They will tear down the amusement park and build a multi-purpose amphitheater and shopping complex. They will allocate funds to redesign the Kellogg Avenue and Interstate 275 exit ramp to provide access to the facility as well as Riverbend and Belterra Park.
I am close to calling Donald J. Trump, Washed Up 45 again.
Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu, Kim Jong Un, Vladimir Putin and Nicolás Maduro and Viktor Orbán all share this notion of authoritarianism. They dehumanize individuals and constantly lie to their supporters.
It's almost a damn shame that America could see this back in the White House.
President Joe Biden is underwater in polls. His hardline stance on Israel and his handling of many issues have soured on voters. Democrats are trying to shape the focus on Trump and his extreme rhetoric.
The former president vows political revenge and the Republicans are planning Project 2025 which ensures a permanent majority and a future for a change to the U.S. Constitution.
If Republicans control 35 states, they can call for a Constitutional Convention to draft amendments that could strip away already settled issues.
Trump has already called for an immediate removal of immigrants who are in the country past their legality. He wants to end birthright citizenship and repeal the Affordable Care Act. He also wants to have Biden, former president Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Rosie O'Donnell, Kathy Griffin, Chrissy Teigen, MSNBC and Liz Cheney locked up.
At a rally in New Hampshire, Trump said immigrants are “poisoning the blood of our country” on Saturday.
Trump, who has echoed the likes of Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini in a recent speech pledging to “root out... vermin” political foes, ranted about immigrants to supporters in Durham, New Hampshire.
“They poison mental institutions and prisons all over the world, not just in South America... but all over the world,” Trump said of immigrants.
“They’re coming into our country, from Africa, from Asia, all over the world,” he continued. “They’re pouring into our country. Nobody is even looking at them, they just come in and the crime is going to be tremendous, the terrorism is going to be.”
Trump also quoted Russian President Vladimir Putin to attack President Joe Biden, saying: “Even Vladimir Putin … says that Biden’s, and this is a quote, politically motivated persecution of his political rival is very good for Russia because it shows the rottenness of the American political system, which cannot pretend to teach others about democracy.”
Along with name-dropping Putin, the former president also mentioned two other authoritarian figures during his rally: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Hungary’s prime minister, Viktor Orbán. He called Kim “very nice” and Orbán “highly respected,” adding that the latter said “Trump is the man who can save the western world.”
The Republicans love to preserve the Confederacy. Donald J. Trump had considered it a punishable offense if protesters destroyed Confederate monuments. Mind you, Black men who support separatist views support the former president. This would not change their minds.
The U.S. Department of Defense has formally removed names of Confederate soliders and leaders from U.S. military bases. It has brought conservative outrage due to their opposition of WOKE ideology.
So Arlington National Cemetery is removing a Confederate Memorial. It has drawn the ire of Glenn Youngkin, the Republican governor of Virginia.
A woman representing the American South, standing atop a 32-foot pedestal, lords above most other monuments within America’s most revered resting place. It portrays, according to the cemetery’s website, a “mythologized vision of the Confederacy, including highly sanitized depictions of slavery.”
This month, 44 Republican lawmakers cautioned Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, the first African American to hold the post, that the Pentagon would overstep its authority by removing the memorial and they demanded that all efforts to do so stop until Congress works through next year’s appropriations bill. The memorial “commemorates reconciliation and national unity,” not the Confederacy per se, the group led by Rep. Andrew S. Clyde (R-GA) claimed.
The Army, which operates Arlington Cemetery, informed lawmakers Friday that it would proceed with the monument’s removal, officials told The Washington Post, because it was required by the end of the year to comply with a law to identify and remove assets that commemorate the Confederacy. A congressional commission had previously decided the memorial met the criteria for removal. The task will cost $3 million.
These officials spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the issue. They said out of an abundance of caution that security at the cemetery would be enhanced when the work begins in coming days.
Workers will remove the memorial’s bronze elements and leave its granite base in place to avoid damaging nearby gravesites, officials said. The Army is coordinating with the state of Virginia and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, a federal agency, to relocate it to New Market Battlefield State Park. The site is about 100 miles west of Arlington.
Removal of the memorial was recommended by a bipartisan congressional commission appointed after the police murder of George Floyd in 2020 was followed by a wide-scale reckoning with the nation’s history of racism, and it marks a significant moment in the Defense Department’s mission to cleanse the U.S. military of Confederate iconography.
The commission found about 1,100 assets that commemorate the Confederacy, including base names and street signs, and advised the Pentagon on what should be removed or changed. The memorial at Arlington was the last significant item on that list, Army officials said, and its ouster comes just before the Jan. 1. deadline set by Congress.
Let me ask you a question.
If the Democratic Party, the party of racism, the Klan and liberal indoctrination, how come the Republican Party is devoted to preserving the insurgency that devoted its existence to preserving slavery, racism, lawlessness and colonialism?
The Democrats still are dealing with -isms within its ranks. They are under pressure to end its support for the apartheid regime of Israel.
The Republicans who are openly calling for -isms is lockstep in authoritarianism, censorship, persecution of critics and dismantling democracy.
I will not share the video. I don't endorse the actions of the people involved or the people who share it.
For a party that hates gay marriage, transgender rights, human rights for people of color, and the disabled; the Republicans certainly have a love for adult entertainment and watching gay sex acts.
An explicit video reportedly shot in the Hart Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill has ignited widespread controversy and attention online. The Daily Caller, a far-right outlet, first reported on the existence of the video on Friday. The clip depicts two men engaged in a sexual act in what the publication claims is room Hart 216.
The far right is sharing a hacked video from allegedly from a former staffer of outgoing Maryland senator Ben Cardin.
Cardin, a Democrat who is a Pro Israeli member and also Jewish has faced backlash from protesters after he and many members continue their support for the apartheid regime.
The senator is retiring and his seat is safe. However, Republicans smell blood in the water. And of course, sweaty jockstrap and K-Y lubricant.
The allegations point to this Cardin staffer. He was fired out the cannon.
Again, what individual do in private is none of my business. What people do in public could cost them their jobs, their reputation and of course their freedom.
Republicans have a zero sum game when it comes to sex scandals. They are often caught in adultry, drug abuse and extremism.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC), Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) and Rep. Scott DesJarlais (R-TN) have openly committed adultery while in office. They still act like they won't be exposed by someone or face a lawsuit by a victim.
Even Moms For Liberty co-founder Bridget Ziegler and her husband Christian are caught up in sex scandals. Bridget had threesomes with her husband and another woman. That same woman claimed the two had sexually assaulted her on numerous occasions.
Yet, Republicans and far right extremists obsess over a staffer doing a sex act in an empty Senate hearing committee room.
It will be a U.S. Capitol Police investigation and possible indecent exposure charges.
Nothing more.
It wasn't like they committed an act of sedition by storming the U.S. Capitol, attacking police, destroying property, defecting on property and bring weapons into a federal building without authorization.
In the video, two unidentified men engage in a sexual act inside what appears to be a room known for hosting hearings by the Senate Judiciary Committee. One of the men is nude and hunched over the dais behind which senators would typically sit when conducting official business and questioning witnesses. The clip, recorded from the perspective of the other participant, includes a brief pan of the Senate seal on the wall.
Three years ago, Hannah Payne took it upon herself to chase a man who caused a hit and run accident. The white woman followed the Black motorist to an onramp near Interstate 285 in Atlanta. She shot him multiple times while engaging in a verbal confrontation with Kenneth Herring.
Instead of writing down his license plate, taking photos and calling 911, Payne shot him and then claim self defense. That did not work in a jury trial against her. A
The 2019 incident in Clayton County began with a minor car crash with a semi-truck that was reportedly caused by Herring running a red light in his Dodge Dakota pickup truck. Payne was not involved in the crash, but said she witnessed it and pulled over to call 911.
Payne testified that a corrections officer who also witnessed the crash told her the man was "OK, but... definitely inebriated” as they waited at the scene.
This led Payne and the semi-truck driver to ask at the same time, “Do you mean he’s drunk?”
Meanwhile, the state corrections officer testified that Herring was displaying symptoms of a diabetic shock. He said the man’s eyes were red-orange, he appeared disoriented, and he had circled his truck several times before he drove off.
Thanks to an eyewitness and her cellphone showing the encounter, it totally destroyed everything that Payne was trying to assert. She found out her fate.
Justice is served.
Payne was found guilty of murder and vehicular manslaughter. Payne was convicted on two counts of felony murder, three counts of possession of a weapon during a crime, and one count each of malice murder, aggravated assault, and false imprisonment.
Payne was sentenced to LIFE in the iron college with a slim possibility of parole. She must serve 30 years, wait an additional 13 years to have a parole hearing and hopeful family members of Herring offer leniency.
Her white women tears did not save her.
Clayton County Judge Jewel Scott had this trial delayed due to Payne and her lawyers playing fucking games.
