October Omar!

The US Department of Homeland Security launches a predawn raid at Ilhan Omar and Tim Mynett's home.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was a subject of a FBI/DHS raid.

Guess who was there to film it?

Fox.

Interesting.

Notice the FBI doesn't investigate the numerous death threats as well as the the recent political attack on her. The FBI isn't investigating threats toward her husband Tim Mynett and daughter.

Yearly wrap up.

October Suprise

Since 2019, the Minnesota lawmaker has earned the ire of President Donald J. Trump, Israel and many of the bigots in Congress. She is unapologetic about her stances and has easily won her primaries and general election since.

This is a political attack against the president's enemies and false information being pushed by the far right and Israel.

Many viewed the raid as a coordinated political operation. Critics of the administration point out that Trump and the GOP have targeted Omar for years. They argue that using a predawn raid for a review of decades-old childhood refugee paperwork is an extreme, unprecedented escalation designed to fulfill political promises made by the administration.

While the current raid is explicitly tied to U.S. immigration paperwork, Omar’s relationship with Israel has been a major point of friction with the GOP and Donald Trump for years. In 2019, Trump successfully lobbied the Israeli government to block Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) from entering Israel due to their vocal opposition to Israeli policies. This historical clash forms a significant backdrop to the ongoing political hostility between Omar and the administration.

Critics argue that because Omar is one of the most vocal critics of U.S. policy toward Israel in Congress, the administration's decision to deploy federal agents to raid her home is a form of political retribution. In this view, the "denaturalize and deport" rhetoric pushed by Trump and conservative leaders is applied selectively to high-profile political adversaries who challenge the administration's foreign policy alignments.

Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, had said the administration was investigating Omar over allegations — made by the president without evidence — that she married her brother to get U.S. citizenship.

More details about the investigation and its focus were not immediately clear, though Vice President JD Vance last May signaled that the Trump administration would investigate Omar for immigration fraud allegations, which she has denied.

An email seeking comment was sent Monday to a representative for Omar.

The Justice Department said in a statement Monday that HSI agents executed a judicially authorized search warrant secured by the department in the Washington, D.C., area but provided no other details. “This enforcement action is part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation,” the department said.

A message left with the Department of Homeland Security, of which Homeland Security Investigations is part, was not immediately returned.

Omar, 44, represents Minnesota’s 5th District, including Minneapolis. She was first elected to the House in 2018 and has been known as a member of what’s called The Squad of female lawmakers known for their progressive views and pointed opposition to the Republican president.

Republicans have raised questions about Omar’s past since before she was even elected, including asserting that she had married her brother and committed immigration fraud. Omar has broadly denied the allegations as “disgusting lies.”

“It certainly seems like something fishy is there, but everybody’s entitled to equal justice under the laws,” Vice President JD Vance told reporters in May. “So we’re going to investigate it. We’re going to take a look at it. If we think there’s a crime, we’re going to prosecute that crime.”

This smells like a damn op.
