The moment the cop shoots the passenger window injuring a woman.
BE WARNED THERE WILL BE GRAPHIC IMAGES AND FOOTAGE. TAKE DISCRETION IN READING THIS POST. GUN VIOLENCE IS THE NUMBER ONE THREAT IN THE UNITED STATES. BAD COPS WILL GET GOOD COPS KILLED. BLUE LIVES MATTER DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE POLICE. IF THEY DID, THEY WOULD CALL FOR POLICE REFORM AND GUN CONTROL. THEY ARE EITHER RUSSIAN TROLLS OR WHITE EXTREMISTS (LIKELY BOTH).
The shooting of Stephanie Washington is getting national attention. It's the latest of our "What Happened To" postings on Journal de la Reyna. '
Like most of these stories me and Le Reyna share on this blog, these often end with tragedy.
Whenever these story occur they often happen somewhere in the United States. It often involves gun violence. It's a frequent topic here on this blog.
Okay, the city of Hamden, Connecticut has a problem. A serious problem.
This wasn't the first of many incidents where their police force have treated people of color really bad. Not only that, they had a teacher who lived in the area acting a fool towards Black shoppers.
The shooting of Stephanie Washington is the latest of many issues in the metro New Haven area.
The shooting has citizens demanding the cops who shot her in some deep shit. The Connecticut State Police and Attorney General have released the video of the cop shooting Washington in the face.
The state has released the dash camera of both cops who were placed in the freezer. In the video, the cop who exited the video immediately shoots at the Honda Civic within seconds. He apparently shot at the vehicle 20 times.
Two dirty cops in the freezer pending an investigation.
The cops who were involved were Terrance Pollock, a 16 year cop for Yale University Police. The other cop was Devin Eaton, a 2-year on the force. They both are under investigation.
The two located what they said was the suspect's vehicle in New Haven, about a mile from Yale, and initiated a stop of the vehicle, police said. Both cops then fired "numerous" rounds during that interaction.
Stephanie Washington will survive her shooting but the impact will likely traumatize her for life.
The driver, Paul Witherspoon III, 21 was not shot but was given a ride to the county. They determined he wasn't involved in a robbery of a local store and was promptly released. He has retained a lawyer and has made signals he will sue the city of Hamden.
Police said there was no weapon inside the vehicle.
Hamden mayor Curt Leng said that he vows accountability.
"I am so deeply sorry to the individuals who were involved that this ever occurred, and also very thankful that the healing has begun. We will do better. We must do better."
New Haven is diverse. However it's neighborhoods and suburbs aren't. Some areas are divided on racial and socialeconomic lines.
Women of color are under attack. Once again, we have seen it time after time.
Some of these white extremist trolls will say that it was a Black cop that shot the woman. We don't give two shits about the color of the cops. What we care about is accountability. We want cops to be held to the standards. If they decided fire these dirty cops and charge them with attempted murder, that will be a first step to redemption. However, given we live in a society where grand juries are likely to be on the side of cops, trolls trying to make the case about the victim instead of the suspect and a fickle junk food media, we have to keep pressure on forcing Congress to pass police reform.
Let's keep Stephanie Washington on our minds for awhile. She will be old news soon and we're going to be focusing on the next controversy.
Wisconsin man came forward to claim his nearly $1 billion. He won the most recent Powerball jackpot.
In a handful of states, you can remain anonymous when you win the multi-state lotteries Powerball, Mega Millions and Lucky For Life.
In Wisconsin, you will have to come forward. Two Republican state lawmakers are hoping to get legislative action on this. They hope that Democratic governor Tom Evers might sign it into law.
The winner of the nearly $800 million Powerball jackpot came forward. He's got a lifetime of riches and he's under 30 years old.
The 24-year old man is excited and also very cautious about the thrill of this huge victory.
Out of that lottery lump sum he take about $474 million (excluding city, state and federal taxes).
He purchased a five line ticket at $10. It cost $2 per play. It cost $3 for a Power Play multiplier. Powerball tickets cannot be cancelled upon purchase.
Franco, who is single but has a girlfriend, explained how he "felt lucky" on the day he bought the ticket, so he stopped into a New Berlin gas station near Milwaukee after work to purchase it. He almost winked at the camera, he said, but he didn't.
He revealed that he wasn't "ready for it at all" when the $2 ticket won. He's decided to take the lump sum.
"It's hard to live your life knowing that you have the ticket everyone wants," Franco explained, indicating that it was a bit frightening having it in his possession until he turned it in. He kept the ticket in a safe in his house.
He purchased the ticket at a local Speedway in Milwaukee area. The national convenience store chain in New Bern can take at least the $100,000 cash prize.
Now Manuel Franco has nearly a lifetime of riches. He lives in West Allis and now he so humbled by the win, he doesn't know what to do about it.
If I won the lottery today, what would I do? (Expect trolls to pick the dumbest answers)
The first thing I want to do whenever I purchase a lottery ticket, is have money on hand.
The operator is required to take money before issuing a ticket. Make sure you have your numbers placed on either a betting card, your lottery app or a previous ticket. Most operators will help you plug numbers in through the terminal or place an automatic bet for you. However in the case of long lines or possible errors, it would be best to be prepared for the transaction. Some states do offer debit and credit transactions.
If I've gotten my information from the local lottery commission I won't have any issues with discrepancies.
You cannot cancel Powerball or Mega Millions tickets. They are property of your state (or territory's) lottery commission. Any alteration, distortion or underage playing will void the games.
Second, make sure I will write your name, phone number or email address on your ticket. If the ticket is lost, stolen, or damaged, I may find it harder to win over lottery officials. If I don't write my name on the lottery ticket and I lost it or a crooked lottery operator gets his hands on it: It's your word against the winner.
State lottery providers have a license number. The place that sold the winning ticket does keep records of the transaction. The tickets are time stamped, verified and authorized. If I lose the ticket, make sure I will file a police report. I will not get on television saying that I've lost the ticket. It could cause a panic and if I was lying about it, I could face charges of misleading or filing a false police report.
If I am the winner of a Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot and the amount is a lot, I will take a picture of the winning ticket. It will also be insurance if the ticket is stolen. If it's lost, there's not much we can say about it other than it will be difficult to tell an "already heard it before" lottery commission that I lost a ticket.
If I have a picture of the stolen ticket and have a legit police report, it's likely I can make a case against the person who stole the ticket.
In most states, the required age to play the lottery is 18 years or older. Do not let anyone under the playing age purchase a ticket or lottery game. The operator could lose their license or you will forfeit your prize if the regional lottery operator determined that an underage player was the winner.
If I win the Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot, I will hire a qualified lottery and huge sum lawyer.
Make sure that a large sum lawyer is certified in dealing with lottery wins. Don't entrust your winning with a law firm that doesn't know how to deal with lottery winnings, investment or day trade.
If I win the Powerball, Mega Millions or multi-state games, I will immediately cancel my phone number and email address. I will get rid of social media. I will delete Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Whatsapp, YouTube and Dailymotion accounts. If I have dating websites like Tinder, POF, Badoo, Grindr, OKCupid, Match, I would cancel those too.
It eliminates the junk food media from finding me and putting my face, name and contacts in the public arena.
I would wait until I get my lottery winnings before quitting my job. I don't want to burn bridges with any employer. Cause I might want to return to work one day and I need to at least stay active. Counting money can be boring.... I'm just saying.
Please, don't quit a job until you are sure you've won the lottery. Don't rush to judgment about being a lottery winner. Sometimes a person who wins the lottery never expects it to happen. Don't sit around the house hoping the day will come you'll be the millionaire. Don't have issues with your employer.
You may end up back at your job if you decide to go back into the workforce.
I will create a establishment will and trust fund.
I will make an investment in your money. I would put my lottery money in a trust fund since I have a child and place a trust in lieu of trusted family and friends. Only if I should die, I would make a will or entrust.
I would make sure I have someone who is trusted take care of the winnings if I have died.
I am often cautious about bragging but if you're bragging about you're winnings, that's fine. I you're like smart with the lottery winnings, I would warn you that canceling your appearance avoids the unnecessary stress from opportunists. Best believe opportunists are willing to swarm your social media with requests.
I don't want to pay the city or state police to secure my home or my property. I don't want my son, his mother, my family or closest friends getting harassed, solicited for information, trolled online and death threats.
Since I live in a state that doesn't have to reveal your name, I'm in the clear. However, if I would win in a state that doesn't conceal your name and I'm forced to become public, I would have to share my success with the junk food media. I would expect death threats, harassing calls, scammers and untrustworthy people to meddle.
Estranged family members, ex-girlfriends, fraudulent charity organizations and robbers are expected to exploit me because I'm now loaded with riches. As explained in my previous "The Cash Fever" postings, there are family members, former co-workers (who heard verbal promise, not written promise), ex-girlfriends, ex-boyfriends, ex-spouses, fraudulent charities, robbers and cyber criminals in the waiting. They will find ways to exploit for short-term gains or criminal acts.
I will always keep a calm head and do not treat winning the lottery like its a "normal" thing.
I will make sure I pay off all debts before I cash in my ticket. First things first, I will pay off any college loans, car loans, property, utility billings, spousal support, child support, back taxes and credit cards. I don't want the state's job and family service or taxation department to offset a hefty portion of my lottery prize.
I won't let these issues ruin my credit score or chances at buying better things.
Yeah, the lottery is a gateway to putting in other venues. Some may blow their money at casinos, horsetracks, fantasy football and online poker. Some may blow it on sex, food, drugs and alcohol.
Granted that I am of free will and I am given the right to do whatever you want with your earnings.
Seriously am I going to get a gold statue of your image?
Am I willing to pay for five chefs, a butler, housekeeper, nanny, and chauffeur?
Am I going to buy a large property or own land? I am I willing to pay for the land tax?
Do I want fancy cars and a private jet? You got to have full coverage insurance for those fancy rides.
With the Jobs and Tax Cuts Act in effect, will your tax bracket change. Will I pay more or less in taxes with the IRS's code on gambling wins and losses?
You know that money will change you. You might become stingy with the winnings. Cause money comes and goes. You should be humble.
Cause money will change a person when they're rich. Don't expect your life to be "normal" when you win the lottery. Cause it's not going to be normal. It could a great experience or the worst thing.
The Have-Nots Will Always Try To Make You Feel Guilty About Winning. Ignore Them And Be Happy About Your Success.
I seriously believe he's going to have to move away from Milwaukee. But he's going to figure out what he's planning on doing next. If he happens to come to Journal de la Reyna and see our posting about the lottery, he might take our advice at his discretion. I am not a financial adviser. I am a common-sense type of person who knows that if I happened to win the lottery, I already have a plan of action.
Because I don't want to blow my winnings in less than 10 years. I want to cherish the success without any controversy.
Seth Moulton joins the race for the Democratic nomination.
Another candidate jumps into the crowd field of contenders.
Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) is the newest candidate entering in the race for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. Moulton is married to his wife of two years, Liz Boardman and has one daughter who born last year named Emmy.
Moulton, a moderate Democrat who considered a run since 2017 made his announcement official.
He is retired U.S. Marine who served four tours of duty in the War of Iraq.
Moulton was born in 1978 in Salem, Massachusetts, the son of Lynn Alice and Wilbur Moulton, Jr.
He grew up in Marblehead and is one of the oldest of three. He graduated from Phillips Academy, a co-educational boarding and day university-preparatory school in Andover. He attended Harvard University and joined the U.S. Marine after the September 11, 2001 attacks.
Seth Moulton is running for President of the United States. Do you think he is capable of being president? (Expect the dumbest answers picked by trolls)
Moulton decided to run for the U.S. House against incumbent John Tierney.
Moulton defeated Tierney in a primary and went on to win the general election.
On Good Morning America, Moulton announced his intentions for president.
"I am here to tell you and to tell America that I am running for president."
"I'm running because we have to beat Donald Trump, and I want us to beat Donald Trump because I love this country. We've never been a country that gets everything right. But we're a country that, at our best, thinks that we might," the three-term congressman said in a video as he launched his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination.
He along with fellow colleagues Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) and Moulton were the lawmakers who were opposed to Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer being the Democratic Party's top leaders.
Former Marine turned lawmaker determines to be the nominee for the Democratic Party.
He will join a handful of candidates who could be defeated by Donald J. Trump.
Trump has a 75% chance of winning the election. We need to get our acts together. By far, no candidate other than Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden stand out in this race for the nomination.
Moulton becomes the third candidate from Massachusetts to launch a presidential campaign, joining Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren and former Republican Gov. Bill Weld, who’s primary challenging Trump.
Moulton’s scheduled to visit all four early voting primary and caucus states this week. He heads to New Hampshire on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, when he’ll headline ‘Politics and Eggs,’ a must stop in the first-in-the-nation primary state for White House hopefuls. Later Wednesday, Moulton campaigns in South Carolina, which holds the first southern primary. That will be followed Thursday by stops in Iowa – which kicks off the caucus and primary calendar – as well as Nevada, which holds the first western contest.
Kate Smith's version of God Bless America is banned.
Kathryn Elizabeth Smith born in 1907 died 1986 was known as Kate Smith and the First Lady of Radio. Now she is known as the first female vocalist who was banned from the airwaves.
Smith has a statue named after her in Philadelphia. Well this year, the statue was removed from the Philadelphia Flyers Xfinity Live! arena on Sunday. They covered the statue up amid allegations that she stroked racism.
"The NHL principle, 'Hockey is for Everyone' is the heart of everything the Flyers stand for. As a result, we cannot stand idle while material from another era gets in the way of who we are today."
That was the statement of Paul Homgren, the president of the Flyers.
She was famous for her version of "God Bless America."
The New York Yankees also pulled usage of her song.
Now some conservatives are crying and screaming that "political correctness" is destroying a great talent.
Smith died in 1986 at the age of 79, was considered an icon. She received a Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1982.
Songs like That's Why Darkies Were Born and Pickaninny Heaven were sung by her. Ray Henderson and Lew Brown wrote the songs but Smith sung the vocals.
Many statues that endorse racism are being removed. You may remember how the far-white was upset over Confederate soldiers being removed from schools and public squares.
Extremists destroy churches and hotels in multiple bombing attacks in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Here in the United States, the far-white and Republicans will try to exploit this for political gains.
We have a gun violence problem. We do have a terrorist problem! It's not often caused by Black, Brown or immigrants who practice Islam. It's the white Christian who often is an incel who believes those who aren't white are destroying the United States. They take up a few propaganda videos off social media, watch Fox News, read websites like Breitbart, Infowars and WorldNetDaily for their daily fixation on blaming someone who's the "other."
Soon as a foreign attack happens in the world, the U.S. is immediately throwing around their strength. We immediately want to help and throw judgement on those who commit acts. The junk food media talk about for a few days and then off to another controversy.
There were foreign and Sri Lankans killed when extremists attacked hotels and churches in the metropolis capital of Colombo.
The blasts killed 35 British and Americans.
Donald J. Trump, Mike Pence, Congress, Mike Pompeo and Christopher Wray of the FBI were notified. They offer the usual "thoughts and prayers" and "their hearts going out to" nonsense.
They also vow to bring those involved to justice. A handful of those involved are probably dead so there's no justice.
But to capture those who bankrolled and drove the terrorists to the facilities are going to be caught eventually.
Seven so far were nabbed. The government imposed a curfew for those in its largest cities. They pulled social media offline temporary to keep trolls from inflaming tensions.
A bomb was also found at Sri Lanka's main airport and it was defused. That bomb going off could have impacted travel and kill numerous foreign travelers.
The far-white here in the United States along with Israeli, Canadian and British far-white agitators will immediately try to blame Muslims, point the finger at lawmakers Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MI) and Rep. Rashida Tliab (D-MN) for the acts of these individuals.
An intelligence memo warning of a possible attack had circulated 10 days earlier, raising questions about whether more preventative measures could have been taken.
"Serious action need to be taken as to why this warning was ignored," Sri Lanka's Minister of Telecommunications, Harin Fernando, tweeted along with a photo of the memo. The document, titled "Information of an alleged plan attack," is dated April 11 and signed by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Priyalal Dissanayake.
Mass causalities on Easter Sunday.
The explosions blew out the tiled roofs of churches and hotel windows, killing worshippers and hotel guests in the process.
Images and footage showed bloodied pews, broken glass, and plumes of smoke.
"This is an attack against the whole of Sri Lanka because Sri Lanka is (a) multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multi-cultural country, and the whole country comes together in celebration of Easter Sunday," Gunasekera said.
The violence punctured a decade of relative peace in the country following the end of its civil war in 2009 -- where attacks were common during the 25-year struggle.
Students at a local Florida school capture the moment a teen was slammed to the ground and bleeding from his head.
Broward and St. Lucie Counties are located in Florida. Again the state with the most controversies in the junk food media has another one.
A teen was brutally slammed to the concrete. Another was body slammed. Both were caught on camera and it's gotten major outrage from Black Lives Matter and civil rights leaders.
The state that picked that racist Ron DeSantis as their governor and Rick Scott, the ex-governor as their U.S. Senator. They probably high fived the cops who body slammed these young boys to the ground.
Starting a week ago, Diederech Hueck, a deputy with the St. Lucie County boys was seen throwing an 11-year old boy to the ground. This was outside Lincoln Park Academy in Fort Pierce.
The filming happened on April 9 and the sheriff said that the body slam wasn't "excessive force."
Ken Mascara, the sheriff said that he didn't see anything wrong with the county boy's actions. He said that the junk food media missed the whole story. I am assuming this a Republican sheriff.
The sheriff says the boy was causing multiple disturbances on the day in question. He refused to comply with instructions by school staff... and was physically aggressive to staff and students.
He said his "boy" did everything right to defuse the situation. Yeah, that's what we do! Body slam him. Next thing, you might use the Taser. Or perhaps use deadly force, after the county boy can say he feared for his life the boy was reaching for his service instruments.
The boy was taken to the hospital and treated then released.
The boy allegedly chest bumped a school staff member. He was arrested and suspended from the school.
View the video here on Journal de la Reyna.
Sheriff Kan Mascara of Ft Pierce, FL says the school resource deputy, who lifted an 11 yr old Black student in the air and body-slammed him on a sidewalk, did not use excessive force.
Of course they are referencing alleged former behavior to justify obvious police brutality. pic.twitter.com/8FtdiZLcxN
Then the most recent incident in Florida which led to hashtag activism.
Broward County boys slammed a boy to ground causing him to bleed from the head.
This was a violent arrest. The Broward County sheriff is facing a calls to cannon fire the two county boys who served a knuckle style chili and toe jam jelly to a teen.
This happened at J.P. Taravella High School. This prompt an investigation into whether the county boys exercised excessive force.
"The behavior of these Broward Sheriff's Office deputies was outrageous and unacceptable," Broward mayor Mark Bogen said in a statement. "The officer who jumped on the student, punched the student and banged his head to the ground should be fired immediately.
This was the moment a Florida county boy prepares to body slam a boy to ground.
The Miami Herald reports that the video was not time-stamped. It was shared on social media and took place outside a McDonald's near the school. The footage which has been making its way through the internet began with one student handcuffed on the ground. Then as another male teen approaches a county boy, he got a dose of pepper-spray.
The county boy who led the arrest Christopher Krickovich said that a large gathering of students gathered to see a fight. They intervened to prevent the incident from getting worse. They said that the teen got in the way.
They took him to the ground. Another county boy rushed in and forced the boy's neck down. In the background, the video shows a female screaming, "What are you doing! What are you doing! He's bleeding! He's bleeding!" Dozens of bookbag wearing students circled the officers.
The school board also demands full accountability.
They don't buy the county boy's story.
The county boys were reassigned to another area.
Watch the full video here.
This angle of the incident is even worse: All Lucca did was pick up a cellphone that fell during another boy's arrest, and @browardsheriff police immediately pepper-spray and brutalize him.
Again, this is what those so-called Blue Lives Matter activists support. They automatically believe that the teens in the videos were in the wrong.
Whatever happened to defusing the situation without using force?
I guess in the minds of folks like Donald J. Trump, "please don't be too nice."
Remember in 2017, Trump said that during a police conference.
"When you see thugs being thrown into the back of a paddy wagon, you just see them thrown in; rough. I said. 'please don't be too nice.' Like when you guys put somebody in the car and you're protecting their head, you know, the way you put your hand over it. Like, don't hit their head, and they've just killed somebody. I said, you can take the hand away, okay?"
The morons run Washington, DC. Last month, the California Republican who badgered Hillary Clinton for her emails is being mocked online. Now he's threatening to sue critics of publications and private individuals for calling him a bullshit artist.
This is a public official who is likely going to be mocked. I mean they disrespect Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) without any regard for the consequences.
I mock Sean Hannity for being a softball. He is a public figure.
Donald J. Trump gets mocked constantly. Despite his threats, he knows he can't sue anyone who parodies him, mocks him or attacks him personally. So you can go after his family, his allies, his waistline, his hair, his god awful tan. The only thing you can't do is threaten him, Mike Pence, their families or any U.S. federal worker elected or serving on the bench. You could get up to 25 in federal time out if you threaten a federal worker.
In the wake of Nick Sandmann suing The Washington Post, CNN and possibly Kathy Griffin for criticism of him during the infamous stare down of a Native American elder, here comes California Republican Devin Nunes.
Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) is the guy who spent two years protecting Donald J. Trump from the Robert Mueller probe. He often appears on Fox News for a little softball. He appears on Sean "Softball" Hannity's primetime circus.
The lawmaker sues Twitter for $250 million after folks made parody accounts of him.
The lawsuit is ridiculous.
I talked to my attorney last night. The lawsuit can be expensive, but I’m determined to fight it. Devin should not be allowed to stop free speech. Can you please help me? Thank you 💗🐮 https://t.co/I9Ko944Ptr
Nunes said in an interview with the softball that rather than being an example of excessive litigiousness, his complaint is intended to be "the first of many" such lawsuits against social media platforms. He argued that Twitter is the "main proliferator" of "slanderous" news and even added that he considered his lawsuit part of the Russia investigation.
Nunes' complaint might never get to the judgment phase and will most likely not result in a $250 million payout for Nunes and his actual, not-a-fake-Twitter-account mother. But that's not the point. To the California Republican and his allies, social media platforms have been far too unfair to conservative and right-leaning users. And now, Nunes argues, it's time to fight back — in court.
The 40-page complaint filed on Monday, Nunes argues that tweets like that and the two parody Twitter accounts were not merely examples of Twitter being Twitter. Rather, he argues that the social media platform served as "a portal of defamation" by permitting parody accounts of his mother and his imaginary bovine to exist on the platform. Moreover, he says that the purpose of those parody accounts was to "influence the outcome of the 2018 Congressional election and to intimidate [him] and interfere with his important investigation of corruption by the Clinton campaign and alleged Russian involvement in the 2016 Presidential Election."
In his claims against Liz Mair, the Republican strategist also targeted in the complaint, Nunes argues that Mair "harbored spite, ill-will, actual malice, and a demonstrated desire to injure Nunes' good name and reputation" by, for example, publicly referencing a winery partly owned by Nunes that is now enmeshed in legal problems, and by referring to Nunes as "Dirty Devin" on Twitter.
The man who made Black cinema a force to be reckoned with suffered a stroke.
You may remember the iconic movie Boyz N The Hood. It was preserved in the National Film Registry inside the United States Library of Congress. The movie was done by John Singleton. He was only 22 when he started filming the movie.
Boyz N The Hood told a tale about the forgotten in Los Angeles. A young director managed to give Cuba Gooding, Jr., Morris Chestnut, Nia Long and Laurence Fishburne name recognition.
Singleton suffered a stroke this weekend.
According to TMZ, which first broke the news, Singleton had been on a flight from Costa Rica back to the U.S., which may have contributed to the incident.
Singleton, who also directed films 2 Fast 2 Furious, Four Brothers and “Shaft, received two Emmy nominations in 2017 for filming The People v. O.J. Simpson and documentary L.A. Burning: The Riots 25 Years Later. He also directed the music video for Michael Jackson’s Remember the Time.
"On Wednesday, April 17th our beloved son/father, John Singleton, suffered a stroke while at the hospital," the statement read. "John is currently in the ICU and under great medical care. We ask that privacy be given to him and our family at this time and appreciate all of the prayers that have been pouring in from his fans, friends and colleagues."
The two-time Oscar nominee for Boyz n the Hood suffered a "mild" stroke after checking into a hospital this week after feeling ill following a trip to Costa Rica, a family member told TMZ.
Luke Perry passed away last month after suffering a severe stroke. He was best known for his roles on Beverly Hills 90210 had passed away after a massive stroke.
Biden jumps in. He's going to be the latest Democrat vying for the nomination. The former vice president needs to work hard to prevent Trump from "Mondale-ing" him.
Donald J. Trump has so far a 75% chance of winning reelection. The Democrats got to get their act together to keep Trump from winning a second term.
If at first you don't succeed, run for a second time. And if that doesn't succeed, run for a third time and hope that you can succeed.
On Wednesday, the former vice president will enter the race and will likely be a front runner in a race with over 19 candidates in this.
It's official. Joe Biden is running for president. Do you believe Joe Biden could President of the United States? (Expect the most dumbest answers picked by trolls)
This will be former Vice President Joe Biden's third go around. I am very nervous about his chances given the junk food media has him as the front runner. Biden is at the age of 76 and he's been a well-established member of the government. He is married to Dr. Jill Biden, the former Second Lady of the United States and is the father of four. He was widowed at an early age.
Biden was U.S. Senator from Delaware from 1973 until 2009. He was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and lived there for 10 years before moving to Delaware. He became an attorney in 1969 and was elected to New Castle County Council in 1970. He was elected to the Senate in 1972 and became one of the youngest members serving. He was the sixth-youngest Senator. Biden rose to ranks to become a member of the Foreign Relations Committee. He was against the Gulf War but advocated American/NATO forces in Bosnia. He vote in favor of supporting the Iraq War and Afghanistan War.
Biden became a vocal supporter of Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act, and the Violence Against Women Act. He also became a vocal opponent of Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas. Despite his opposition to Thomas, he was very critical of his accuser Anita Hill. It's alleged that Biden cut a deal with Republicans to have Hill not bring forth witnesses accusing Thomas of sexual abuse.
Biden had been an influential member of the U.S. Senate. He was seen as one of those "bipartisan" members who made friends with even the worse. Like Mitch McConnell, Jesse Helms, Jim Inhofe and Trent Lott. But he had great allies like Ted Kennedy, Kirsten Gillibrand, Carol Moseley Braun, Barbara Boxer, Sherrod Brown and John Glenn.
Biden was picked as the running mate for then first term U.S. Senator Barack Obama. The two managed to have a great friendship on the campaign trail.
When Obama defeated John McCain and Sarah Palin in 2008, Biden became a household name. He and Palin had their only vice presidential debate and then Alaskan governor embarrassed herself and made it hard for Republicans to support McCain. Biden who was also gaffe proned managed to overcome the odds and prove to the world, that he's prepared to be commander-in-chief.
Mind you Biden is a man who is principled. He is a great leader within the Democratic Party.
I am not being too critical of him. But I have a feeling that we're re-living the 1984 U.S. Election where Ronald Reagan managed to pull off a feat most candidates fail at doing. Winning most of the states and popular vote. Reagan was a survivor of a mass shooting in 1981. He was embattled from exploding deficits and political scandals. Somehow, he managed to turn it around and won in landslide his opponent Walter Mondale.
Mondale was then the vice president under Jimmy Carter. He ran with Geraldine Ferraro. Many in the Democratic Party were hopeful a historical election was in their sights. Nope. Reagan and his allies managed to paint Mondale as an enabler of Carter's agenda.
That's what Republicans are going to do with Biden. They have Fox News, Breitbart and talk radio in his corner. Trump has already prepared his team to attack Biden if he becomes the nominee. They will try to taint his record as a senator, vice president and citizen.
Biden experienced heartbreak during his time. He lost his first wife and daughter in a car accident.
Later, he lost his oldest son to cancer.
His first wife Neilia Hunter and 1-year old daughter Naomi died before he entered the Senate.
His son, Attorney General of Delaware Beau Biden passed away after fighting an aggressive form brain cancer. He passed away in 2015 eliminating his father's intentions in 2016.
Biden, according to people with direct knowledge of the matter, is likely to roll out his campaign video in the coming days.
A spokesman for Biden declined to comment.
At a recent press gaggle with reporters, the former Vice President touted his connection to Obama and their legacy.
"I'm an Obama-Biden Democrat, man, and I'm proud of it," he said at the time.
Since at least March, Biden and his team have been discussing potential economic policies for a third White House campaign, including an infrastructure reform plan, cutting taxes for the middle class and bettering income inequality, CNBC first reported.
An emphasis on infrastructure would give Biden an opportunity to directly challenge Donald Trump on a key aspect of the president's "Make America Great Again" agenda. Trump ran on improving the nation's roads, bridges and tunnels, but those policies have yet to take shape as the administration’s $1 trillion infrastructure plan failed to gain traction.
Pervert will no longer use Portland buses and light rail. He had a history of harassing riders.
Did you know that Portland, Oregon is haven for white extremism?
Yes. I was totally shocked. After all, the Democratic-leaning city has a 70% white majority population. Most of the voters are progressives but that doesn't stop the far-white extremists seeking refuge in a city that doesn't have a majority of Black and Hispanic residents.
Conservatives do live in Portland. They work and enjoy Portland life. They often are the ones who love to troll on social media about how the libs are destroying America with their policies.
Tell me if Portland is a shithole?
Conservatives are the folks who complain they're banned from college campuses. They also share propaganda and do rallies that embrace white nationalism.
You wonder why InfoWars wanted to set up shop in a city like Portland?
They also have an eco-friendly city. The city's 690,000 citizens have used public transportation to get around the city. The city covers 145 square miles and it's beautiful. You can see the skyline and Mount Hood in the background. The Columbia River is also beautiful as well.
This week, TriMet, the bus service that covers Metro Portland permanently banned a rider who has a history of doing inappropriate things to women who ride their buses and light rail.
TriMet Transit bans sexual offender from its light rail and bus services.
The asshole, known as the TriMet Barber was given a lifetime exclusion from the transit.
He has repeatedly assaulted women on public buses, sometimes by cutting their hair. This asshole has been arrested at least 18 times for lewd acts on public transit. The most recent event happened in March where he allegedly placed his hand in the pocket of a woman's jeans while he was on MAX.
General manager Doug Kelsey said that it's time for the rider to find another way to get around.
He made the decision to ban this sexual predator from ever being on public transit. Kelsey will probably spread the news to other agencies if this asshole gets the decision to make a ride across the Columbia River to Washington.
"TriMet has issued a lifetime exclusion---the agency's first --- to _I_refuse_to_name_the_guy," said the spokeswoman Roberta Altstadt in a statement. "Police say the individual once again targeted women on the TriMet system, sexually assaulting two women in separate cases in March 2019. While the individual remains in jail, the exclusion is immediate so that when he is released, he is already barred from riding TriMet."
The asshole faces three charges of sexual abuse in the third degree, stemming from separate cases in March. The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The suspect is looking for at least five years in the iron college. He will enter in OFFENDER U and be labeled a TIER III. He will also be flagged by the bus company. He will have to pay for any medical expenses of his victims. He will have to register in sexual deviancy classes. He will lose his electronics, magazines of adult nature, and be banned from public schools.
Yeah, he might want to buy a bicycle. Cause that's the only means of transportation he'll have if he's banned from transit, Uber and Lyft.
This is an attack on women of color. A sexual predator repeatedly attacks women on public transit for a sexual gratification.
Stephanie Washington survived a shooting. The Hamden Police nearly killed her. She was an innocent victim of police violence.
Anger in Connecticut. The Hamden Police are facing a slew of controversy.
The law shot an unarmed couple. The injured is Stephanie Washington, a 22-year old mother who was unarmed at the time of the shooting. A dirty cop shot her in the face early Tuesday morning in New Haven.
A cop from Hamden and a Yale University cop unleashed a barrage of gunfire on a red Honda Civic that her boyfriend Paul Witherspoon III was driving. He was not injured in the gunfire.
Witherspoon said to the junk food media that he didn't do anything wrong. He thought he was going to die in this incident.
"I thought I was already dead because he pointed [a gun] right at me. My girlfriend was just yelling like, 'They shot me! They shot me! They shot!'"
Paul Witherspoon III with his child.
The cops who shot the young woman were placed in the freezer pending an investigation on whether justifiable force was necessary. The dirty cops were named Devin Eaton who represented the Hamden Police and Terrance Pollock who represented Yale University Police.
The Connecticut State Police and State Attorney's Office will do an investigation.
Community residents are upset over this shooting.
According to the state police, a car was stopped as Hamden police continued an investigation into the report of an armed robbery of a newspaper delivery driver at the Gas and Go Gas Station in Hamden.
New Haven mayor Toni N. Sharp had shared her thoughts on the shooting.
She said that she is "troubled, concerned and frankly outraged" over the shooting. She wants a clear investigation into matter.
"This incident betrays police actions gone horribly wrong along the Hamden/New Haven line and now Stephanie, as well as many residents, her family and friends must live with the consequences and resulting uncertainty of what was by every definition an unacceptable response."
Hamden Mayor Curt Leng also addressed the controversy. He calls for a full investigation and demands changes in the way police handle fleeing suspects.
Leng said he would not comment much on the incident specifically, so as to maintain the integrity of the investigation, but promised a "transparent investigation."
At one point, a woman who said he was the mother of Witherspoon said her son had been released from the hospital and driven home without being arrested.
A beautiful life is spared. Thankful that she managed to duck the gunfire.
Since this incident, many of the residents are expressing strong distrust towards the law. Just last month, a teacher who worked for Hamden Public Schools was caught on camera berating a Black couple and spitting on them.
Thankfully this young woman is able to tell the junk food media her story.
Harp reiterated that no New Haven police officers were involved in the shooting, and that officers only arrived on scene after the fact to help secure and hold the crime scene, allowing investigators from the Connecticut State Police Major Crimes Unit to gather evidence and begin their investigation.
Hamden is currently in the process of revising its pursuit policy, with recommendations to only pursue a suspect wanted for a violent felony.
In August 2018, Hamden police pursued a vehicle into New Haven. The car crashed into a tree and landed in the southbound lane of the road, killing the 26-year-old passenger in the car and critically injuring the driver.
BAD COPS WILL GET GOOD COPS KILLED GUN VIOLENCE IS THE NUMBER ONE THREAT IN THE UNITED STATES.
Those so called Blue Lives Matter supporters will try to justify this shooting. They will make the story about the victim instead of the cops that shot her.
We need police reform and definitely accountability for law enforcement.
They're people with firearms and they believe they can legally murder you if you're considered a threat to society.
I am tired of hearing cops say they feared for their lives.
If you fear being in the uniform, get out! You don't have to serve. Let actual cops do their jobs.
Because of bad cops, good cops often have to deal with the outcry of people of color.
