Joe Biden Wants To Battle Again!

Biden jumps in. He's going to be the latest Democrat vying for the nomination. The former vice president needs to work hard to prevent Trump from "Mondale-ing" him.

Donald J. Trump has so far a 75% chance of winning reelection. The Democrats got to get their act together to keep Trump from winning a second term.

Yes. Joe Biden has a great sense of leadership. He has the most potential to take on President Donald Trump. Democrats feel that he is an experienced leader. It's better have a candidate who knows flyover country.

This will be former Vice President Joe Biden's third go around. I am very nervous about his chances given the junk food media has him as the front runner. Biden is at the age of 76 and he's been a well-established member of the government. He is married to Dr. Jill Biden, the former Second Lady of the United States and is the father of four. He was widowed at an early age.

Biden was U.S. Senator from Delaware from 1973 until 2009. He was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and lived there for 10 years before moving to Delaware. He became an attorney in 1969 and was elected to New Castle County Council in 1970. He was elected to the Senate in 1972 and became one of the youngest members serving. He was the sixth-youngest Senator. Biden rose to ranks to become a member of the Foreign Relations Committee. He was against the Gulf War but advocated American/NATO forces in Bosnia. He vote in favor of supporting the Iraq War and Afghanistan War.

Biden became a vocal supporter of Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act, and the Violence Against Women Act. He also became a vocal opponent of Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas. Despite his opposition to Thomas, he was very critical of his accuser Anita Hill. It's alleged that Biden cut a deal with Republicans to have Hill not bring forth witnesses accusing Thomas of sexual abuse.

Biden had been an influential member of the U.S. Senate. He was seen as one of those "bipartisan" members who made friends with even the worse. Like Mitch McConnell, Jesse Helms, Jim Inhofe and Trent Lott. But he had great allies like Ted Kennedy, Kirsten Gillibrand, Carol Moseley Braun, Barbara Boxer, Sherrod Brown and John Glenn.

Biden was picked as the running mate for then first term U.S. Senator Barack Obama. The two managed to have a great friendship on the campaign trail.

When Obama defeated John McCain and Sarah Palin in 2008, Biden became a household name. He and Palin had their only vice presidential debate and then Alaskan governor embarrassed herself and made it hard for Republicans to support McCain. Biden who was also gaffe proned managed to overcome the odds and prove to the world, that he's prepared to be commander-in-chief.

Mind you Biden is a man who is principled. He is a great leader within the Democratic Party.

I am not being too critical of him. But I have a feeling that we're re-living the 1984 U.S. Election where Ronald Reagan managed to pull off a feat most candidates fail at doing. Winning most of the states and popular vote. Reagan was a survivor of a mass shooting in 1981. He was embattled from exploding deficits and political scandals. Somehow, he managed to turn it around and won in landslide his opponent Walter Mondale.

Mondale was then the vice president under Jimmy Carter. He ran with Geraldine Ferraro. Many in the Democratic Party were hopeful a historical election was in their sights. Nope. Reagan and his allies managed to paint Mondale as an enabler of Carter's agenda.

That's what Republicans are going to do with Biden. They have Fox News, Breitbart and talk radio in his corner. Trump has already prepared his team to attack Biden if he becomes the nominee. They will try to taint his record as a senator, vice president and citizen.

Biden experienced heartbreak during his time. He lost his first wife and daughter in a car accident.

Later, he lost his oldest son to cancer.

His first wife Neilia Hunter and 1-year old daughter Naomi died before he entered the Senate.

His son, Attorney General of Delaware Beau Biden passed away after fighting an aggressive form brain cancer. He passed away in 2015 eliminating his father's intentions in 2016.

Biden, according to people with direct knowledge of the matter, is likely to roll out his campaign video in the coming days.

A spokesman for Biden declined to comment.

At a recent press gaggle with reporters, the former Vice President touted his connection to Obama and their legacy.

"I'm an Obama-Biden Democrat, man, and I'm proud of it," he said at the time.

Since at least March, Biden and his team have been discussing potential economic policies for a third White House campaign, including an infrastructure reform plan, cutting taxes for the middle class and bettering income inequality, CNBC first reported.

An emphasis on infrastructure would give Biden an opportunity to directly challenge Donald Trump on a key aspect of the president's "Make America Great Again" agenda. Trump ran on improving the nation's roads, bridges and tunnels, but those policies have yet to take shape as the administration’s $1 trillion infrastructure plan failed to gain traction.
