Old News!

Gov-elect Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee is likely to pick Tim Burchett to replace her. But who are the other choices?

Gov-elect Marsha Blackburn is leaving the U.S. Senate in January. She will take office at the ripe old age of 74. The first woman and oldest governor to serve Tennessee will be a chaos agent.

She will continue MAGA despite the voters soundly rejecting it.

She is the "I've fallen and can't get up" type of politician.

I am not sexist or ageist. But I am done with tone policing. Tennessee, enjoy your hard owned chaos. When she sells out the state to Israel and special interest, expect your lives to be even more hectic come 2028.

Her replacement will be chosen by her.

Who are likely in the running?

Tim Burchett: The Republican U.S. House member closely aligned to President Donald J. Trump and staunch supporter of Blackburn's gubernatorial bid.

Pete Hegseth: The controversial Defense Secretary who convinced Trump to go to war with Iran. He has embarrassed the U.S. military with his anti-woke, be a solider campaign.

Glenn Jacobs: The former Knox County mayor who is known as the WWE legend Kane. Name recognition and a modest conservative credentials.

Just in case you believe I am biased. I will address Gov-elect Amy Klobuchar as well.

Both women will resign and their replacements will serve the reminder of their terms with Peggy Flanagan (will be senior senator already) and Bill Hagerty (will become senior senator).

Blackburn plans to strategically delay her Senate resignation until the last possible moment before she is sworn in as governor on January 16, 2027. This guarantees that she will hold the sole authority to appoint her successor, rather than outgoing Governor Bill Lee. The chosen interim senator will hold the seat until a special election is organized in November 2028.

Friends to the end. Gov-elect Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota is likely to pick her replacement. Is Kelly Morrison that replacement?

Klobuchar, 64 will also leave in January. Her replacement is going to be less controversial, sort of.

Ilhan Omar: The progressive lawmaker would be a good choice but it could energize Republicans. They will weaponize her faith, her politicial stances and race.

Former senator Al Franken: He served a senator for two terms before resigning under pressure for a baseless allegation. He is an actor, comedian, podcaster and commentator ruled out an appointment.

Angie Craig: While a low possibility, it would anger progressives. Her centrist stances and pro Israel stances will be a huge liability. She lost to Flanagan in the primaries,

Kelly Morrison: A pragmatic centrist who just won a second term in Minnesota's competitive 3rd Congressional District. Smart but will face progressive backlash if she supports Israel or leans on Chuck Schumer style of politics.

Oh yes, that asshole Gov-elect Tommy Tuberville, 72 will be leaving the senate. His win was huge so it makes Sen-elect Barry Moore (R-AL) comfortable to taking on the spot that racist asshole held

The American voters sent a message to Congress and Trump, they want direct focus on domestic issues like the economy. They do not care about distractions or vanity projects.

They want the federal government to do more to help Americans struggling. So thus, if Marsha Blackburn, Byron Donalds, Tommy Tuberville, Amy Klobuchar or any transitioning lawmaker thinks they're going to get a pass, they better think again.
