Terrorism is a part of the daily routine. The American politicos flex their "I'm a big muscle in the wake of the tragic terrorist attack in Paris, France.
Let me be clear, gun violence is a bigger threat here in the United States, than terrorism. Terrorism and diseases such as HIV and Ebola are exploited by the junk food media for fear.
The 15 Republican knuckle heads like to flex their "I can do this" muscle. They have no real answer to stopping terrorism. All I hear from the candidates is blaming people for unfortunate circumstances.
We haven't had a horrific [international] terrorist attack on our country since September 11, 2001. But to the Republicans and agitators in the media, President Barack Obama can't do nothing. The president has been aggressive against terrorism. It's unfortunate that the Islamic State and al Qaeda exists. Our country's influence in the Middle East has sparked feverish outrage.
The United States has blind support for the Israeli government's apartheid on the West Bank and Gaza Strip is one main reason.
We uprooted foreign leaders who we believe impedes on our "capitalism" and "values". Americans show constant bigotry towards people because of their race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, political and economic standings. Terrorism is inspired by animosity towards these groups. Terrorism exists. It's not going to stop. It's a part of daily routine here and abroad. It's a shame that we don't consider every mass shootings in our country as terrorism. It's a shame we don't consider any gun crime as terrorism. I don't call it radical Islam like the Republicans and conservative agitators. I call it terrorism.
HIV exists. It's not going to stop. It's a part of the daily routine here and abroad. Heroin and denial are the reasons to why the virus continues to thrive here in the United States.
No one talks about that in the debates. Nobody understands that heroin is causing HIV risks. Matter of fact, heroin should be second. Because so many suburban White people are killing themselves. White women are using heroin at a faster pace.
Me and S. Baldwin send our condolences to the numerous victims of the Paris attacks. On September 13, 2015, seven terrorists aimed at numerous venues in the Parisian night. The terrorists managed to kill 130 people and injured numerous people. It's confirmed that an American student studying abroad was one of the victims of this tragedy. Nohemi Gonzalez was one of the first confirmed Americans killed. She was only 23 and a student from Cal State University.
Now the world is mourning the losses.
Everyone here in the United States are showing solidarity by going to social media and posting their thoughts.
James Foley's family blames Obama for their son's death. Instead of blaming the terrorists, conservatives find the real threat to America is the President of the United States.
This became an issue for the Republicans and Democrats. Last night Democratic debate on CBS began with a focus on the tragedy. Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Martin O'Malley all had an opportunity to express their desires to take on the threat. They offer no real answer to how to take on the threat.
The Republicans on the other hand now are using this as a banter to attack President Barack Obama.
In an interview on ABC, the president said that the Islamic State is being "contained".
Conservative agitators and the candidates are seizing on that remark as a reason to say the president is aloof and not taking the threat seriously.
The U.S. gained some ground in the fight against the extremist group. An U.S. airstrike may have killed Mohammad Ewazi, the junk food media's so-called "Jihad John" spokesman.
The French government has been active in retaliation. The junk food media broke the news that French fighter jets strike on the de facto base of the Islamic State.
On GOP Sundays, you had commentators, agitators, and politicos wonk it out about how to fight an organization that seems to be getting more powerful by the day.
Republicans now saying that we shouldn't allow Syrian refugees asylum. They believe that terrorists could slip into the United States. Terrorism is already here in the United States. We have our own people leaving their families to join the Islamic State and al Qaeda.
Terrorism is going to be around 24/7.
Americans should use their common sense.
Always expect something to happen.
We should not live in a bubble fearing the unknown.
We never expect mass shootings in our country let alone a terrorist attacks.
Republicans don't see any reason to close the gun sale loopholes. Even if we accept Syrian refugees, they go through a background check. If one does slip into the United States, they'll have access to firearms through strawman purchases.
We have mass shootings everyday in the United States. There was a mass shooting at Umpqua Community College in October and one just last night. There was an entire family murdered in Jacksonville by a man.
So I don't want to hear this talk about terrorism, radical Islam and boots on the ground. We have people murdering people with firearms here in our country. This is the real threat to the country.
Jenean Hampton becomes Kentucky's lieutenant governor. She is the first African American to hold the position. She is a registered Republican.
Kentucky's soon to be governor Matt Bevin is no longer a perennial gadfly. It was a healthy victory for the insurgent Republican. Did you know that the controversial businessman had a running mate that also won. Her victory marks a first for the state.
Jenean Hampton becomes the lieutenant governor for the state. She is the first African American to hold this position. She was elected as a Republican.
The 58 year old mother and grandmother started from humble beginnings. She grew up in the Detroit area. Her family worked in the manufacturing boom of the automotive juggernaut Chrysler.
She joined the U.S. Air Force, where she spent seven years writing code and managing software like the radar used to find enemy planes in Operation Desert Storm, where she was deployed. She then spent 19 years in the corrugated packing industry.
She boldly says that she's not a fan of Barack Obama and vows to oppose his policies. That often cause a family feud between her and her late father.
It's apparently a mystery to her family, too. Hampton said her father, who recently died, "went to his grave mad at me."
"That I'm conservative, Republican, didn't support Obama — he just could not wrap his arms around that," she told Bailey.
Hampton says her guiding light is constitutionally limited government, and she told Bailey that when trying to climb out of inner-city Detroit, she felt government and friends and family around her were rooting for her to fail:
"A huge part of what formed my opinions was the peer pressure that I got to fail," she said. "These were kids who questioned my good grades, questioned the way I spoke, questioned my choice in music and the fact that I was reading all the time. I just remember wondering, 'Well, jeez, when do I get to just be Jenean with my own likes and dislikes?' "
As she got older, she said she despised Nixon's Republican Party but came around to the GOP when Ronald Reagan was president because he reflected her own optimism about the American Dream, according to Bailey.
Now as the lieutenant governor, Hampton will do her best to make Republicans seem less racist than they normally are.
The race in the Bluegrass state was supposed to be a victory for the Democrats.
The people of Kentucky love KNect, the state's health care exchange. Outgoing governor Steve Beshear was at best a decent governor. The Democrats didn't put much in the races for governor.
But I guess Donald Trump's impact and the state's opposition to gay marriage being a contributing factor to Bevin winning the governor's race.
If I had to pick between a political debate and football game, I would say football. Given that CBS decided to place the Democratic debate on Saturday, they knew that about less than 3 million would watch it. Given that there's three candidates remaining in the Democratic presidential primary race.
Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, former Maryland governor Martin O'Malley and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) were at Drake University for tonight's debate.
This the second debate for the Democrats. There was a forum last Friday being hosted by MSNBC's Rachel Maddow in South Carolina.
The Democrats mostly stayed focused on issues involving the economy.
The debate changed directions given the Paris attacks. The main focus of tonight's debate focused on how to prevent a terrorist attack in the United States.
Clinton, O'Malley and Sanders have all had an opportunity to debate the issues. Terrorism, social programs, how to work with the Republicans, the Obama legacy, Clinton's trustworthiness, Sanders's being a Democratic Socialist, and O'Malley's reaction to #BlackLivesMatter.
I want to say that I didn't fall asleep listening to the candidates. I mean there was a few moments where the candidates did raise their voices at one another.
I am not going to bore you with the debate. All I can say is who won this debate?
I was caught off guard by the horrific attacks in the French Republic. The city of Paris is under siege.
Terrorism happened tonight in the entertainment districts of Paris France. World News Today send our condolences to the victims of this senseless tragedy.
Shopping while Black in Australia.
In Melbourne, Victoria, a group of Black students went into an Apple Store and they got roused by the store security. After exiting the building, the manager came out to inform the students that they were acting suspiciously and he feared they were planning on lifting property.
A video of the interaction between a Highpoint Apple store staff member and a group of students was uploaded to Facebook on Tuesday night.
The six boys from Maribyrnong College were denied entry to the store by a staff member and two security guards.
“These guys [security guards] are just a bit worried about your presence in our store. They’re just worried you might steal something,” the Apple staff member says in the video.
A member of the group replied: “Why would we steal something?”
One of the students evicted from the store, Mabior Ater, told Fairfax Media that he had been going to the Highpoint shopping centre for a long time.
“I never thought something like this would happen ... of course I was offended,” he said.
Ater said the principal of their school accompanied the students back to the store to help them in seeking an apology.
“[The manager] apologized to us and told us that we are welcome here anytime,” he said. “It feels like we have justice now.”
An Apple Australia spokeswoman told Guardian Australia that the company would not be commenting.
Apple CEO Tim Cook wasn't pleased about this.
Tim Cook in company-wide email: Melbourne Apple Store incident “unacceptable”:
Apple CEO Tim Cook sent an ema... https://t.co/YXhYrvKOQW
He ordered an immediate retraining of all employees. The company released a statement saying that "inclusion and diversity are among Apple's core values. We believe in equality for everyone, regardless of race, age, gender, gender identity, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation. That applies throughout our company, around the world with no exceptions. We've looked into the details of the situation and we apologize to the customers involved. We will continue to do everything in our power to ensure all our customers are treated the way they should be."
The global city of Paris was rocked by a horrific terrorist attack.
I don't want to jump to conclusions on the death count, but I can tell you that the causality count is extremely high. Me and S. Baldwin send our condolences to the victims of tonight's tragedy in Paris.
According to the numerous sources, there was a series of mass shootings and bombings in the entertainment districts of Paris.
This worst of the attacks happened at the Le Bataclan Music Hall. The concert featured American rock band Eagles of Death Metal. While people were cheering on the music, these terrorists opened fire on concert goers, people enjoying dinner and watching a soccer event. These individuals who were cornered by the law decided to take more lives out by detonating suicide explosives.
This tragedy has merit global attention.
#PrayforParis is trending on the social networks.
The blame game also is trending.
I am picturing our conservative agitators saying that President Barack Obama didn't do enough or say enough. I can imagine that terrorism will be front and center in the Democratic debate. I can imagine that Republicans will agitate bigotry towards Muslims.
Muslims condemn this tragedy.
The French government imposed a mandatory curfew for the entire country. President François Hollande announced that borders are closed. He also vows to find everyone involved in this tragedy.
The leaders come to the aid of the French government. President Barack Obama, Britain's David Cameron, Canada's Justin Trudeau, Germany's Angela Murkel, and Russia's Vladimir Putin all send sympathies to the French Republic.
The Beirut bombings, the Jordanian police officer who murdered American contractors, the apparent take down of the Russian Boeing plane has intelligence agencies pointing fingers at the Islamic State.
At least seven individual attacks took place, comprising of at least six shootings and three explosions.
Shootings were reported around the Rue de la Fontaine-au-Roi, Rue de Charonne, and Rue Bataclan.
Petit Cambodge and Le Carillon shootings
A shooting at the Petit Cambodge ("Little Cambodia") restaurant in the 10th arrondissement of Paris resulted in several deaths, which are reported to be between four to eleven.
The assailants also shot people outside a bar called Le Carillon near the Canal Saint-Martin.
According to a police official, 11 people were killed at the restaurant. The assailants reportedly "fled in one or two vehicles" after the shootings.
La Belle Equipe shooting
Shots were fired at La Belle Equipe, a restaurant in the 11th arrondissement of Paris.
Bataclan theatre siege and mass shooting
Shootings and hostage takings occurred at the Bataclan theatre in the 11th arrondissement where the American rock band Eagles of Death Metal were playing to an audience of around 1,500. 60—100 hostages were taken.
The band's members escaped without injury.
Someone who escaped the attack told a journalist that the attackers mentioned Syria and that there were five or six attackers. One witness in the Bataclan stated that a gunman yelled "This is because of all the harm done by Hollande to Muslims all over the world."
There were further attacks reported on police and first responders who arrived at the scene after initial reports of shooting inside the theatre.
One of the attackers at the Bataclan had explosives, according to a police officer at the scene.
Julien Pierce, a journalist from Europe 1, said that he saw armed men enter the Bataclan, and two or three men not wearing masks fired indiscriminately on the crowd.
The siege ended at 1 am.
The police reported that an estimated 100 people were killed at the theatre.
Four attackers were killed, three of whom died by detonating their suicide belts.
Stade de France explosion
At least 10 people were injured or killed in an explosion at a bar near the Stade de France in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis.
The President of France, François Hollande, was at the Stade de France attending an international friendly football match between France and Germany. Hollande was safely evacuated from the scene and met the French interior minister Bernard Cazeneuve to coordinate a response to the emergency.
Explosions were heard on the live televised broadcast of the match.
Following the game, fans were brought onto the pitch to await evacuation as police monitored all exits from the venue.
I stand with the people of France in the wake of this horrific tragedy. We will continue to follow this tragedy.
If you want to help, please donate to the American Red Cross and Amnesty International for assistance.
English spokesman for the Islamic State may have been killed in an American airstrike.
Another man who gave up the life to join the Islamic extremist group was killed an American missiles drop. The U.S. military hasn't put a confirmation out there but the junk food media has broke the news that the British man who was a spokesman and executioner for the Islamic State was killed in a drone strike.
When it comes to brutal videos being posted on social media, the extremist group turns to YouTube.
He was accused of beheading three Americans, two British men and two Japanese men.
James Foley, Stephen Sotloff, David Haines, Alan Henning, Peter Kassig, Haruna Yukawa and Kenji Goto were victims of tribunal. This man would warn Western leaders that the deaths of innocent Muslims will be spilled with the blood of Westerners. These men were beheaded when the ransom demands weren't met.
This man took pride in this. He would often boast that more killings could come and often asked for more American intervention.
The airstrike hit was in Syria. He left his home and was traveling on the road when the hit came. The hit was a "flawless" target kill. The U.S. will evaluate the area before they can pass confirmation of death.
Unmasked.
Mohammed Emwazi (born Muhammad Jassim Abdulkarim Olayan al-Dhafiri) was a Kuwaiti-British man who is thought to be the person seen in several videos produced by the Islamic extremist group ISIL showing the beheadings of a number of captives in 2014 and 2015. He was born in August 1988.
Mohammad Emwazi was outed by the intelligence agencies after they determined his departure from Britain to join the extremist group. Some of his friends and family described him as a angry young man. .
The family of James Foley came out with a statement saying that the death of this man doesn't change the fact that President Barack Obama failed their son.
Okay, that annoying conservative agitator and Pam Geller often criticize Obama for being weak on terrorism.
Under Obama's order, the CIA and U.S. military has killed al-Qaeda's Osama bin Laden, Adam Gahdan, Anwar al-Awlaki, Abu Anas al-Libi and Fazul Abdullah Mohammed.
They have disrupted the Islamic State's leadership role by hitting top chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
Besides Mohammed Emwazi, German rapper Deso Dogg (Denis Cuspert) was killed in a drone strike a few weeks ago.
World News Today send our condolences to those innocent victims killed in these senseless tragedies.
Waka Flocka is the trap's MVP. He follows politics.
Waka Flocka Flame is a busy man. He's prepping up for the Flockaveli 2 album. But one thing that's delaying the release, Atlantic Records. He's been vocal about the label delaying his album release.
He's released three mixtapes this year and is temped to release a EP called Flockaveli 1.5 for free on the social nets.
He even teased the stans with the single Blue or Red which was produced by his production team Metro Boomin' and Southside of the 808 Mafia.
Waka's really following the U.S. presidential elections. He's shown interest in the campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Waka is very active in politics. Seeing that Trump is running for the president, Waka had thought about running for president too.
When the Republicans went through a month of searching for the next House Speaker, he thought it would be cool to be the Speaker of the House. They ended up choosing Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) for their speaker.
Waka also appeared on a local news agitator doing the weather. He was doing a charity concert for flood victims. A South Carolina news channel allowed the entertainer get a crack at the weather.
Earlier this year, MSNBC had Waka on to discuss the University of Oklahoma's fraternity shouting NIGGER in a musical chant.
Waka was beefing with Gucci Mane. Gucci was pissed that his mom, Miss Mizay took control over 1017 Brick Squad when the rapper got caught in a federal case. Gowop is serving a 3.5 year bid in federal time out in Terre Haute, Indiana. They recently just settled their feud.
Demands for higher wages spread across the country.
Prices of food are rising. The average price of milk is $3.39 a gallon. The average price of eggs is $1.85 a dozen. The
The cost of shipping goods and services is rising.
The cost of living has went up.
The average rent for an apartment is $465 a month.
The insurance rates for home, auto and life has increased.
But Republicans think that it's Obama's fault because his policies aren't working. For one thing, his policies are either being blocked by the House or stalled by the Senate. Then every policy was met in the Supreme Court.
When Americans in the service industry demand $15/hour minimum wage, Republicans say that they shouldn't complain. Cause in the mind of Republicans, if we raise the minimum wage, it will destroy jobs. It will make longer term workers struggle even more. Cause the new hires will make more.
Companies will replace cashiers, greeters and underlings with machines. That's how conservatives think about the low wage worker.
When you hear Republicans and conservative agitators say that under President Barack Obama's leadership, 94 million Americans aren't working, 50 million in poverty and 47 million on food stamps, they say that it's a travesty.
When Republicans say that African American unemployment hasn't changed since Obama's been in office, I want to scream.
For over 50 years, African American unemployment has been practically stagnant at 24% in rational terms. It's been like this way before Obama's got into the White House.
The reasons to why there's unemployment by rational terms.
1) DEATH
2) RETIREMENT
3) QUITTING JOB
4) TERMINATED FROM JOB
5) GOING OUT OF BUSINESS
If an act of nature or man destroys a part of your life, then I guess you're screwed. If these Republicans becomes the president, their policies will not advocate for the safety net. No food stamps. No welfare assistance. No disaster relief.
You worked for years at a company and you still makes below $23,000 a year. You get a wage increase after working over 800 hours a year, and still have trouble paying the bills. I guess if you're looking forward to relief, then you're screwed. Republicans refuse to raise the minimum wage.
I agree that raising the minimum wage will leave an after effect. The after effect would usually be long term workers being upset that they don't get a cost of living adjustment. The new hire gets just about the same rate a longer term worker earned. That's not fair.
So if they get hired at $15/hour, then the long term workers should make $20/hour.
Anyway, there was a massive walkout at many fast food restaurants in 270 cities across the country.
Many are demanding Congress raise the minimum wage so things could be affordable.
Republicans have already slammed the notion of raising the minimum wage. Of course, it's a part of the never ending campaign to win the primaries.
I've stated this so many times. The safety net includes social security, disability, food stamps, farm aid, Medicare, Medicaid, and welfare.
The middle class, lower class and those who are too poor are the core of the safety net.
With the rising food and gas prices, people are turning to food stamps, food banks and government assistance to keep themselves from landing in the homeless shelter.
Without a safety net, these people will rob and kill those who have the luxuries of having food in the refrigerator or in the pantry. They would steal fuel, water, bread and meat to keep feeding their families. And yet, these Republicans and their conservative allies are thinking the poor are the reasons for the economic recession. Perhaps those who complain about the poor, should walk a day in that person's shoes!
The Republican Party and its allies in the conservative movement are heartless when it comes to the lower and middle class. In their warped minds, the lower class and those who are too poor are stealing from the taxpayers by accepting food stamps, disability, welfare, disaster relief, student grants and other necessaries.
The world of jazz and blues loses another legend. The great blues player Allen Toussaint passed away of an apparent heart attack while performing in Madrid, Spain.
He was an American musician, songwriter/composer, record producer, and influential figure in New Orleans R&B.
Many of Toussaint's songs became familiar through versions by other musicians, including "Working in the Coal Mine", "Ride Your Pony", "Fortune Teller", "Play Something Sweet", "Southern Nights", "Everything I Do Gonna Be Funky", "I'll Take a Melody", "Get Out of My Life, Woman" and "Mother-in-Law".
Toussaint, 77, had been touring in Madrid, Clarence Toussaint said in the statement.
Artists in nearly every major genre recorded Toussaint's songs or collaborated with him, including the Rolling Stones, the Yardbirds, Herb Alpert, Glenn Campbell, Robert Palmer and Alison Kraus and Elvis Costello.
His music, often by way of his house band The Meters, was also widely sampled by hip-hop artists such as Amerie, Public Enemy and N.W.A.
President Barack Obama shakes hands with Allen Toussaint at the 2012 Medal of Honor induction.
"I don't want y'all thinkin' 'this is just some old legend that passed away' naw," Questlove, founding member of the hip-hop group The Roots, wrote on Instagram. "This dude wrote some of your favorite music & you just didn't know it."
Toussaint's influence is woven through popular music and hip-hop, he wrote.
"At least 12 'Get Out My Life Woman' snares were like starch in hip hop's daily nutritional chart -- meaning so there you barely notice it," Questlove wrote.
British singer Billy Bragg also lamented Toussaint's death on Twitter.
"The man was a genius," he said.
Toussaint also was a well-regarded performer in his own right. His 2012 jazz album, "The Bright Mississippi," showcased "what an idiosyncratic, inventive instrumentalist he is," Allmusic critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine wrote at the time.
Toussaint opened a recording studio, Sea-Saint, in 1973 with partner Marshall Sehorn and operated his own record label.
Artists including Dr. John, the Neville Brothers, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Robert Palmer and Labelle recorded at the studio, according to Toussaint's biography for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, into which he was inducted in 1998.
After Hurricane Katrina destroyed his studio in New Orleans, he relocated to New York, according to his biography, and began a resurgent career as a live performer that continued to his death.
"After his hometown was battered by Katrina and Allen was forced to evacuate, he did something even more important for his city: He went back," President Barack Obama said in 2012 in awarding Toussaint a National Medal of the Arts. "And since then, Allen has devoted his musical talent to lifting up and building up a city."
Another debate with no real answers. Just a lot of soapbox rhetoric.
The right wing business network hosts the debate in Milwaukee. The candidates meet once again for another round of bitching about President Barack Obama's policies and how they're going to stop Hillary Clinton.
The kiddie table debate.
Who won the lower tier debate?
Chris Christie, Bobby Jindal, Mike Huckabee, and Rick Santorum.
Lindsey Graham and Jim Gilmore were banned from this debate.
Christie on economic growth. Christie wants to share a story about his experience in New Hampshire about a supporter having anxiety towards the economy. Of course, the Republicans stalled the president's policies. Christie vows to repeal the Dodd-Frank law. First one to drop Clinton's name in this.
Huckabee on manufacturing and technology. Brings up the tax code. Huckabee wants to pass the Fair Tax. He said that manufacturing jobs left since 2000. Huckabee complains about the trade agreements that advocated American companies to ship jobs overseas. Huckabee like Christie wanted to eliminate the IRS.
Santorum on payroll to job growth. Santorum said that if you can listen to how Democrats think. He points to the Democratic debate. He said that he's said that manufacturing should be released from the Obama regulations. He said that he can create a path to prosperity. He said that you don't need to go to college, just get out of high school and head to work.
Jindal on oil prices. Jindal is exiting after the runoff election. He was being asked about oil decline. Jindal dismissed the comments. He said that his state of Louisiana benefits from oil. He said that Obama's policies left people in poverty, stuck on food stamps and unemployed. He drops Clinton in his soapbox.
Christie on free stuff. Demcorats have promised to work for the middle class. Christie shrugged off the notion of being the party of selfishness. Christie bold face lied about the tax policies proposed by Bernie Sanders. He also said that he doesn't want government to be in the way.
Santorum on single parenting. Santorum wants to do something about the tax code. He wants to give tax credits to single families. He says that fathers aren't viable in the lives of children. He said that we should be more pro-family.
Huckabee on entitlement reform. He considered it suicide. He says that poor people are being punished when they are on welfare. He wants to
Jindal blast the four senators running on being inept. He said that some of the governors running are weak. Jindal dismisses his dismal record as governor of Louisiana. He said that Republicans should not be a carbon copy of the Democratic Party.
Huckabee says that as a governor he cut government. He blasted Jindal for targeting governors. Christie was tossed the ball.
Santorum blast Huckabee on government spending.
Christie on the debt. He said that Republicans shouldn't be fighting with each other. He said that Republicans should fight Hillary Clinton. She's coming for the wallet said Christie.
Santorum on bailout and auto industry. He said that Washington should not have bailed out the car industry. He thinks that the president is choking competition. Santorum is a supporter of the Import-Export Bank. Santorum wants to blast lawmakers for saying one thing but doing another.
Huckabee on refugee crisis. He said that we should not bring them here. He says that English should be the official language. He also said that the president hasn't helped Kurdish rebels.
Christie on national security. He says that Chinese doesn't respect Obama and Clinton. Christie said that he was a victim of the hacking scandal. If the Chinese commit cyber warfare under his watch he will let them have it. Christie will threaten to take on Chinese sovereignty
Jindal doesnt trust Obama on trade and the Iranian nuclear deal. Jindal says that why should we send a "big government" Republicans into Washington. He said that would favor trade deals but will not continue the policies placed by Bush and Obama.
The candidates once again debate economic issues.
Christie hits back on Jindal. He said that why would Jindal focus on Republicans. Christie said that Clinton is running to the left to meet up with Bernie Sanders. Jindal said that Christie expanded food stamps. Note that Hurricane Sandy was a factor. Jindal ignores the fact that Louisiana is the biggest precipitant of food stamps. Hurricane Katrina has destroyed lives. It's been over 10 years and the state is still not ready for another catastrophic storm.
Candidates asked on Obamacare. Santorum wants to rid of all Obamacare. Santorum says that Cruz wants to shut the government. Santorum says Bush wants a healthcare law that offers bigger entitlements. Jindal and Christie were blasted by Santorum. He told them that they need a juice box for their efforts. Santorum soapboxes on his days as a senator. He said that he will challenge the Clinton machine. Santorum ignores the infrastructure question.
Huckabee complains about the lawmakers ignoring the issues at the Veteran's Administration. Christie also made his concerns about the lawlessness of the Obama administration. Christie made a plug for the presidency.
Taxes became one of the topics for the candidates.
Santorum - 20% Flat Tax. Keep the Capital Gains Tax low. Don't allow state and local taxes to be meddled with. What he wants is 20% - 33%
Huckabee - Get rid of all taxes. He said that we should punish people for working hard. He wants to continue to pass this Fair Tax.
Jindal - 25%, 10%, 2%. Everyone should pay for something. Have some skin in the game. He said that out control spending is destroying the country.
Chrisite - 28% taxes and 8% for lower tier.
Santorum also said that he wants the government out of infrastructure. He shouts into his microphone saying that he's willing to push an agenda.
Huckabee on the Fair Tax. He said that his plan isn't the problem. He said that people will continue to have a little money in their pockets.
Jindal on eliminating the corporate tax. He vows to make everyone pay for something. He wants to downsize the IRS, repeal the death tax and take back America from Obama's grip on the economy.
I got bored with the debate. They were extremely inept candidates. The kiddie table was a huge bore.
Quick Poll
Who won this debate?
The big debate with Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Carly Fiorina, Rand Paul, Jeb Bush, and John Kasich.
Marie Bartiromo and Neil Cavuto were the main moderators and Wall Street Journal's Gerard Baker was the stand-in moderator.
The debate is on. The candidates were asked about the $15.00 minimum wage. Trump said that he will not support the rate hike. Carson was asked about it. Carson believes that people need to be educated on the minimum wage. He says that if we raise the wage, business will cut jobs. He complained about the Black unemployment. He said he will not support the rate hike.
Rubio on the Democrats and their free giveaways. He said that the American dream is universal. He said what makes America so better is the hard work of people. He also oppose the rate hike. He believes its a disaster. So he disparages the protesters. He wants tax reform and controlling the debt, repeal Obamacare, and get rid of "dead end" jobs.
The debt. Kasich was questioned on the debt nearly $20 trillion. Kasich brags about Ohio's turnaround. He said that he raised the minimum wage in the state. He said that people need help. He has a plan. His plan will cut taxes and lower rates for everyone. He promises he can balance the budget. He won't raise the minimum wage.
The IMF question. Cruz was asked on tax reform. He soapboxes on how he stood up to big government. He calls Obama's economy a disaster. He said that he will promote a Flat Tax. He said that he will repeal unnecessary regulations.
Kasich wanted to interrupt but Bush got into him about it. Bush is asked about people giving up on jobs. He slams Obama's policies. He wants to repeal the Clean Air Act. He wants to repeal the Clean Water Act. He believes that small business are the key to the nation's growth. He slams Clinton for grading Obama's economy as an A. He went into the soapbox of people being on food stamps, welfare and not working.
Fiorina on the economy recovery. She responds to the question by saying that she met a supporter who wondered how this country going to handle a potential Clinton presidency. Fiorina called Obama's government corrupt. She said that she wants to challenge the status quo. She wants to reform the tax code. She wants it limited to three pages. She will support a line item veto. She wants to hold government officials accountable. Take back our country came up in her soapbox.
