Sick, sick, sick.

We elected a man who failed at handling a major pandemic. A man responsible for a seditious attempt at overthrowing the government. A man who is doing everything possible to cover up his sexual abuse allegations against children.

What happens when you put an idiot with no medical experience in charge of an agency tasked to prevent disease outbreaks?

You get a curmudgeon named Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. 

What happens when you hire an attorney who also is lobbyist to run an agency?

You get Brooke Rollins.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Brooke Rollins, the Agriculture Secretary are facing major controversy. Once again, the president who allowed thousands if not millions of Americans die from the coronavirus once again dropped the ball on another potential pandemic.

President Donald J. Trump has a history of not focusing on the issues. I mean we are in a war with Iran. The Iranians aren't going to concede to the demands of the U.S.

We are not even covering the mass atrocities caused by the Israelis on Lebanon, Syria and Gaza. It still exists and the junk food media seems fixated on distractions.

Taylor Farms, allegedly is the cause of the Cyclospora parasitic outbreak made a donation to the president. It was made just days after the FDA announced a 30-month delay on the Food Traceability Rule and during a period when the company increased its lobbying efforts. 

The political contributions drew heavy public scrutiny in July 2026 after the FDA initially linked a nationwide Cyclospora parasite outbreak to Taylor Farms' lettuce, only to retract the statement as a "false positive" shortly after company executives met with White House and FDA officials.

Taco Bell which used lettuce in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania restaurants had voluntarily pulled all of those tainted products. They have seen a 35% decrease in foot traffic because of this.

Federal health officials are investigating a new outbreak involving the diarrhea-causing parasite cyclospora.

The outbreak included 72 people as of Wednesday.

The Food and Drug Administration has not yet identified which products are linked to the illnesses. Officials also have not said where the cases are located.

“This is an active investigation, and officials are working together to determine the specific cause of illnesses in this cluster,” the Department of Health and Human Services said in an email Thursday.

Federal officials earlier this week said they remained focused on lettuce from Taylor Farms as the source of a separate, multistate outbreak. The company last week announced it was recalling iceberg lettuce grown in central Mexico.

Cyclospora is a microscopic parasite that infects food that has come into contact with human feces, most commonly when produce is irrigated or washed with contaminated water. When ingested, the parasite causes intestinal illness marked by “frequent and sometimes explosive bowel movements,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Federal and state health authorities have been investigating separate clusters of cyclospora illnesses, including the one traced to Taylor Farms.

Food safety tips include washing hands with soap and water after using the bathroom and before handling food. Experts say cooking can kill the parasite and advise cooking produce to a temperature of at least 158 degrees Fahrenheit (70 degrees Celsius.)
