Former Mesa County, Colorado election clerk and MAGAland cultist Tina Peters thought being a white woman with privilege meant in house or some restrictions. That unapologetic attitude got her nine years.

Tina Peters will find out that the Colorado State Corrections will not be a vacation. It will be years of bad food, fears of being raped, fears of being attacked by someone who doesn't like her attitude, 23 hours of cell time and holidays missed.

She will come out looking like an old woman. She won't be recognizable.

Given her age, she could die in the iron college.

Peters has been sentenced to nine years behind bars for her role in a 2021 breach of her own county’s election system.

Peters will first serve 60 days to six months in the Mesa County jail before she will be transferred to the state Department of Corrections.

Peters was handcuffed and taken to jail immediately after she was sentenced.

As deputies removed her from the courtroom, Peters at the last instant raised her shackled hands and fluttered a wave and blew a kiss to her supporters in the packed courtroom.

Twenty-first Judicial District Judge Matthew Barrett handed down the sentence after referring to Peters as “a charlatan” who had found a way to profit off lies and would continue to do so if she remained out of prison.

“Your lies are well-documented and these convictions are serious,” he said. “I am convinced you would do it all over again. You are as defiant a defendant as this court has ever seen.”

Based on the seriousness of her crimes and the damage they caused to trust in voting “prison is the only place” for Peters, Barrett said.

Peters tried to plea for leniency and said that her family would suffer without her. The judge didn't buy into that.

Barrett saw her appearances on LindellTV, Frank Speech, Real America's Voice and Newsmax. He heard of her podcast.

Peters show no remorse. Only defiance.

Peters on Aug. 12 was found guilty of seven of 10 counts related to the breach of the Mesa County election system.

Peters, 68, was convicted of three counts of attempting to influence a public official; conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation; official misconduct; violation of duty; and failure to comply with an order of the Secretary of State.

The jury acquitted Peters of three counts: conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation, criminal impersonation and identity theft.

In a rambling statement in her defense, Peters used her time before Judge Barrett to lay out her belief that elections are being stolen as part of a vast national conspiracy. She claimed that Dominion Voting Systems are rigged in a garbled talk that sounded like her presentations on far-right podcasts.

Barrett stopped her at one point telling her, “this is completely irrelevant” as he had told her four attorneys numerous times during her trial.

Peters sobs as she is being placed in county lockup awaiting the trip to the iron college.

She also made bids for sympathy by invoking the memory of her Navy Seal son who died in a parachute accident during a military demonstration when Peters was running for office. She accused 21st District Attorney Dan Rubinstein of stealing her late husband by convincing him to file for divorce.

She rambled through a long list of allegations that officials have lied about her for the past three years.

“Your honor, I don’t deserve to go into a prison where other people have committed heinous crimes,” she said. “I’m not a criminal. I have lived my life with faith and honesty.”

Peters offered the possibility of going to a faith-based program in northern California where she would work to help people.

A minister from the Church of Glad Tidings who identified himself as Pastor Dave Bryan had spoken in her defense. He told Barrett that he could “take this big hairball” from Colorado by taking Peters to California to serve probation.

“It is my observation that a storm is just getting started with this trial,” he said.

“Tina Peters has learned her lesson and will not be involved in Colorado politics anymore.”

He made that statement before Peters spoke and accused other people of lying about her and saying that other officials fail to understand that the election systems are fraudulent.

Peters broke down and cried toward the end of her statement. She said prison would be difficult for her because she needs to sleep on a magnetic mattress for health problems including fibromyalgia and a previous bout of lung cancer that left her short of breath at times.

Is There Foul Play?

A family torn.

John Allen Amos, Jr. was found dead in August. The junk food media reported his passing on Monday. His family just found out like everyone else.

Several of his family members question why it took 45 days to announce his passing.

Amy Goudy, whom The Hollywood Reporter confirmed as the actor’s goddaughter, shared a joint statement with John's daughter, Shannon Amos, and his granddaughter, brother, niece, and others.

The famed actor passed away at 84. 

The family slam K.C. for keeping them isolated from John. They also believe he was a victim of abuse and extortion.

"The Amos family is grieving the loss of their father, John Amos, who they believe was neglected, isolated, and potentially abused in his final days. They were unaware of his death until they learned about it in the news, 45 days after it occurred," the message read. "[He] was reportedly under the control of his son, K.C. Amos, who prevented family members from contacting him and monitored his communications. The family suspects that K.C. may have taken advantage of John's dementia to manipulate him and potentially benefit financially from his death."

The statement continued, "The family is seeking answers about the circumstances surrounding John's death and is concerned that K.C. may have had him cremated without their knowledge to avoid any investigation. They are also questioning why no medical professionals, coroner, or authorities informed them of his passing." Goudy also claimed that several attempts were made to get in contact with John over concerns of possible elder abuse.

The statement closed, "We refuse to rule out the possibility of foul play, especially given the involvement of two individuals, Eugene Brummer and Belinda Foster... At a time when we should be grieving and celebrating our father's remarkable life, we find ourselves in the unfortunate position of seeking justice and clarity."

As REVOLT previously reported, K.C. shared a statement revealing that his father transitioned back in August. Hours later, Shannon stated that she wasn't made aware of John's death until it was announced by the media.

Amos was best known for his roles in Good Times, Roots, Coming to America, The Players Club, Men In Trees, The West Wing and All About The Andersons. 

Amos was a veteran of the 50th Armored Division of the New Jersey National Guard and Honorary Master Chief of the United States Coast Guard. He was married twice. His first marriage, from 1965 to 1975, was to artist and equestrian Noel Mickelson and they had two children: Shannon Amos, a writer/producer and founder of Afterglow Multimedia, LLC, and Grammy-nominated director K.C. Amos. The acrimonious relationship between Shannon and K.C. over care given to their parents was documented by The Hollywood Reporter.

His second marriage, in 1978–79, was to actress Lillian Lehman. He lived for many years in Tewksbury Township, New Jersey. In 2018, he moved to Westcliffe southwest of Pueblo, Colorado. In 2023, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation looked into accusations of elder abuse. In the same year, he left Colorado taking up residency in Los Angeles.

Amos died of congestive heart failure in Los Angeles on August 21, 2024, at the age of 84. His death was not announced until October 1, 2024.

Dock workers and longshoreman strike is adverted for now. They set negotiations on Jan. 15, 2025. Dockworkers agreed to suspend the strike on October 3, 2024, with their current contract extended until as negotiations continue.

President Joe Biden is working to end the strike but is the union boss trying to prolong the event to help former president Donald J. Trump?

The longshoreman strike affects Maine to Texas. It includes ports of entry in Houston, Brownsville, New Orleans, Mobile, Savannah, Tampa, Miami, Jacksonville, Charleston, Wilmington, NC, Newark, Norfolk, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Boston and Portland, ME. 

The International Longshoremen's Association are on strike and everyday they continue it cost the economy over $5 billion. 

In September 2024, the ILA demanded a total ban on automation of cranes, gates and containers at 36 U.S. ports. The ILA threatened to strike that month unless they would receive wage hikes and a ban on automation at U.S. ports. ILA members were offered a nearly 50% wage hike, triple employer contributions to pension plans, and better health care options while retaining current rules on automation, but the ILA rejected the offer and began a strike in October. According to Politico, the strike was primarily the decision of ILA head Harold Daggett, who had been known as a critic of the Joe Biden administration and who said the strike would "cripple" the economy prior to the 2024 presidential election. Daggett criticized a labor agreement that the ILWU, the main longshoreman's union on the West Coast, achieved in 2023 with the help of the Joe Biden administration, which boosted salaries by 32%. Daggett criticized the agreement for not doing enough to stop automation.

Negotiations between the ILA and the United States Maritime Alliance began breaking down in June 2024. One major sticking point was wages. The ILA wanted members to receive a $5/hour raise each year of the next six-year contract, whereas the Maritime Alliance proposed a $2.50/hour raise each year.

The U.S. Maritime Alliance (USMX) negotiated intensively with the International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) on pay raises, the latter representing East Coast and Gulf Coast port workers which handle 43% to 49% of all U.S. imports, constituting several billions of USD in trade every month. with the latter proposing an opening offer of a gradual pay raise of 77% over the course of the six-year contract to account for several years of smaller wage increases and inflation. The union also demanded that automation be completely banned for port work. The prior contract gave dockworkers starting wages between $20 to $39 per hour based on experience.

Port of Virginia in Norfolk is one of the country's busiest ports.

Following two days of negotiations, Daggett, who was part of the union the last time the association held a strike in 1977, told union members that a strike would commence at 12:01 a.m. EST on October 1 if USMX did not meet their demands, which union members gave unanimous support for. The ILA requested the pay increase due to inflation in addition to their work helping to greatly increase shipping profits during the COVID-19 pandemic. In a video statement, Daggett who is a critic of the Biden administration, threatened United States President Joe Biden's administration with a worker slowdown if they attempted to force members back to work using the Taft-Hartley Act. Under the Taft-Hartley Act, Biden could seek a court order for an 80-day cooling-off period that would end the strike at least temporarily, but he has told reporters that he wouldn't take that step. Biden in a statement said “As our nation climbs out of the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, dockworkers will play an essential role in getting communities the resources they need. Now is not the time for ocean carriers to refuse to negotiate a fair wage for these essential workers while raking in record profits.” Ben Nolan, a transportation analyst with Stifel, said the administration isn't likely to intervene until consumers start to see empty shelves or can't find critical goods like medicines.

On the evening of September 30, the eve of the strike, the U.S. Maritime Alliance proposed a 50% pay raise and a commitment to limited incorporation of automation, but not a complete ban, as means to resume negotiations. The alliance also claimed that they had tripled port employer contributions to worker healthcare and retirement benefits. At night, the ILA made a statement accusing the alliance of refusing to incorporate their requests for a fair contract. The union called the 50% pay raise proposal "unacceptable". USMX accused ILA of refusing to negotiate, and asked labor regulators to command that the union continue them in a formal complaint. ILA dismissed the complaint as a "publicity stunt".

The Justice Department has lost two cases against Daggett, in which he was accused of being an associate of the Genovese crime family. In testimony at a trial in 2005, George Barone, a former Genovese "soldier" who was a Mafia enforcer before turning state's evidence, testified that Daggett was controlled by the Mafia; in his own testimony, Daggett depicted himself as a victim of the Mafia and said that Barone had threatened to kill him in 1980. Daggett and the two codefendants in the trial were found not liable in November 2005 on civil RICO charges of extortion conspiracy and fraud. One of the codefendants, Lawrence Ricci, disappeared during the trial; his body was found weeks later in a New Jersey diner decomposing with multiple gunshot wounds; the murder is still unsolved.

Daggett was reported in 2017 as owning a 76-foot yacht, the Obsession. In 2021, the yacht was sold with an asking price of $3.795 million.

He was also reported to drive a Bentley, a luxury car.

When pictures of Doggett with Trump hit the social media, the union boss became the focus of junk food media concern. Trump has allies who are willing to cause chaos to help him win. Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to start a global war. Vladimir Putin and his Russian GRU tried to put out an artificial intelligence propaganda about Harris doing a hit and run. Now Doggett who knew Trump for years was going to cripple the economy to hurt Biden. Sean O'Brien and the Teamsters refuse to endorse Harris but he spoke at the Republican National Convention. Republicans are trying to change the rules in Nebraska to eliminate single proportion electoral vote. Republicans are preparing to file lawsuits if they lose.

Yeah, it seems like a set up.

October Surprise: Jack Smith Drops The Hammer!

U.S. Special Prosecutor Jack Smith was given the greenlight from U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutken to release damning details against former president Donald J. Trump, the 2024 Republican nominee.

The 165-page document, which lands weeks before an election in which Trump is taking another shot at the White House, offers new detail about special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the former president’s efforts to lean on state officials and paint a narrative of widespread fraud that prosecutors say Trump knew was untrue.

It includes new details of Trump’s frayed relationship with former Vice President Mike Pence; FBI evidence of Trump’s phone usage on January 6, 2021, when rioters overtook the US Capitol; and conversations with family members and others where the then-president was fighting his loss to Joe Biden.

Broadly, and in response to the Supreme Court’s ruling this summer that granted Trump sweeping immunity for official actions, Smith’s motion claims the former president took the steps he did as a political candidate – not as a president – and that, therefore, he is not entitled to protection from prosecution the justices identified in July.

“When the defendant lost the 2020 presidential election, he resorted to crimes to try to stay in office,” Smith wrote in the brief, which Chutkan released in partially redacted form.

”At its core, the defendant’s scheme was a private one,” prosecutors wrote. “He extensively used private actors and his campaign infrastructure to attempt to overturn the election results and operated in a private capacity as a candidate for office.”

The filing weaves together what prominent witnesses told a federal grand jury and the FBI about Trump, along with other never-before-disclosed evidence investigators gathered about the former president’s actions leading up to and on January 6.

Trump and Vance as expected slammed the Smith report.

Releasing the motion, which was previously filed under seal, is the latest major development in Smith’s longstanding effort to prosecute Trump for actions he took to overturn the 2020 election, even as the former president is seeking a second term in a tight race with Vice President Kamala Harris. The case, which has already reached the Supreme Court once, has repeatedly been delayed as Trump has attempted to push off the prosecution until after next month’s election.

The document is broken into four sections. The first section lays out the case prosecutors said they would attempt to prove at trial, including a summary of evidence; the second section gives Chutkan a roadmap for how to assess which actions are official – and therefore potentially covered by immunity – and which are not; the third section walks through how the principles should apply in Trump’s case; the fourth is a brief conclusion that asks Chutkan to rule that the actions described are not protected by immunity and that Trump “is subject to trial on the superseding indictment.”

More evidence could come out in coming days. A hefty appendix accompanying Wednesday’s filing remains under seal, and the judge has asked both sides to weigh in on how much of it should be made public. Among the documents in the appendix are grand jury transcripts and notes from FBI interviews conducted during the yearslong investigation.

Trump’s team had fought the release of the document and the former president on Wednesday called it a “hit job” and claimed without evidence it was released in response to the vice presidential debate Tuesday night.

“Democrats are Weaponizing the Justice Department against me because they know I am WINNING, and they are desperate to prop up their failing Candidate, Kamala Harris. The DOJ pushed out this latest ‘hit job’ today because JD Vance humiliated Tim Walz last night in the Debate,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

On August 27, 2024, the special counsel issued a superseding indictment that maintained the same four charges but omitted some specific allegations.

Attorney General Merrick Garland has maintained that issuing the superseding indictment did not violate any election-related Justice Department rules. The Justice Department has a policy not to overtly investigate any candidate within 60 days before an election; the superseding indictment was issued 70 days before the November 5 election. Further, Garland said, the Justice Department issued the new indictment "to respond to the direct instructions of the Supreme Court". Though Trump's team argued that the superseding indictment should be invalid due to its timing so close to an election, Judge Chutkan said she would not consider this argument.

On September 3, Trump submitted a court filing in which he once again pleaded not guilty. He waived his right to appear at his second arraignment and did not attend. He was represented at the hearing by John Lauro, Todd Blanche, and Emil Bove. As of his second arraignment on September 5, 2024, he has not yet appeared in person before Judge Chutkan.

At the September 5 hearing, Trump's lawyers argued that they were dealing with a new indictment. Judge Chutkan disagreed, observing that the four charges remained the same and that the related allegations had been reduced: "It's not more stuff, it's less."

The evil Israeli regime vows to strike Iran.

Iran launched at least 180 missiles into Israel on Tuesday, the latest in a series of rapidly escalating attacks between Israel and Iran and its Arab allies that threatens to push the Middle East closer to a regionwide war.

Iran said the barrage was retaliation for a series of devastating blows Israel has landed in recent weeks against the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon, which has been firing rockets into Israel since the war in Gaza began. Earlier Tuesday, Israel launched what it said is a limited ground incursion in southern Lebanon.

Israelis scrambled for bomb shelters as air raid sirens sounded and the orange glow of missiles streaked across the night sky.

Israeli military spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said the country’s air defenses intercepted many of the incoming Iranian missiles, though some landed in central and southern Israel. Israel’s national rescue service said two people were lightly wounded by shrapnel. In the West Bank, Palestinian officials said a Palestinian man was killed by a missile that fell near the town of Jericho, though it wasn’t clear where the attack originated.

Iran’s armed forces joint chief of staff Gen. Mohammad Bagheri warned that Iran would respond to action against its territory with strikes on Israel’s entire infrastructure with “multiplied intensity.”

Israeli airstrikes and artillery fire pounded southern Lebanese villages on Tuesday, and Hezbollah responded with a barrage of rockets into Israel. There was no immediate word on casualties.

Moments before Iran launched its missiles, a shooting attack in Tel Aviv left at least six people dead, police said, adding that the two suspects who had opened fire on a boulevard in the Jaffa neighborhood had also been killed.

John Amos Passed Away!

America's dad, John Amos passed away.

The legendary actor John Amos has passed away.  

John passed away at the age of 84 in Los Angeles.

For some reason, every movie with Eddie Murphy had an actor pass away. 

James Earl Jones, John Ashton and now Amos.

Tito Jackson and Michael Jackson met Murphy.

John was best known for his role in the Norman Lear sitcom Good Times, his role in Roots and the film Coming to America (and the sequel Coming 2 America).

He was best known for his role as the adult Kunta Kinte in the landmark miniseries Roots and for portraying James Evans Sr. on the CBS television series Good Times. Amos' other television work includes The Mary Tyler Moore Show, a recurring role as Admiral Percy Fitzwallace on The West Wing, and the role of Washington, DC Mayor Ethan Baker in the series The District. Amos has appeared on Broadway and in numerous films in his five-decade career.

Amos was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award and an NAACP Image Award. On film, he played numerous supporting roles in movies such as The Beastmaster (1982), Coming to America (1988), Lock Up (1989), Die Hard 2 (1990) and Coming 2 America (2021). Prior to his acting career, Amos played college football at Colorado State University. He also had a brief professional football career, which included spending a portion of the 1967 offseason for the American Football League's Kansas City Chiefs.

John Allen Amos, Jr. was born in Newark, New Jersey on December 27, 1939, the son of Annabelle and John A. Amos Sr., an auto mechanic. He grew up in East Orange, New Jersey, and graduated from East Orange High School in 1958. He enrolled at Long Beach City College and graduated from Colorado State University, qualifying as a social worker with a degree in sociology. Amos played on the school's football team. After college, he was a Golden Gloves boxing champion.

He died Aug. 21 of natural causes in Los Angeles. Amos’ publicist, Belinda Foster, confirmed the news of his death Tuesday.

He played James Evans Sr. on “Good Times,” which featured one of television’s first Black two-parent families. Produced by Norman Lear and co-created by actor Mike Evans, who co-starred on “All in the Family” and “The Jeffersons,” it ran from 1974-79 on CBS.

“That show was the closest depiction in reality to life as an African American family living in those circumstances as it could be,” Amos told Time magazine in 2021.

Among Amos’ film credits were “Let’s Do It Again” with Bill Cosby and Sidney Poitier, “Coming to America” with Eddie Murphy and its 2021 sequel, “Die Hard 2,” “Madea’s Witness Protection” and “Uncut Gems” with Adam Sandler. He was in Ice Cube and Dr. Dre’s 1994 video “Natural Born Killaz.”

Amos’ “Good Times” character, along with wife Florida, played by Esther Rolle, originated on another Lear show, “Maude.” James Evans often worked two manual labor jobs to support his family that included three children, with Jimmie Walker becoming a breakout star as oldest son J.J.

Such was the show’s impact that Alicia Keys, Rick Ross, the Wu-Tang Clan are among the musicians who name-checked Amos or his character in their lyrics.

“Many fans consider him their TV father,” his son Kelly Christopher Amos said in a statement. “He lived a good life. His legacy will live on in his outstanding works in television and film as an actor. My father loved working as an actor throughout his entire life. He was my dad, my best friend, and my hero.”

The elder Amos and Rolle were eager to portray a positive image of a Black family, struggling against the odds in a public housing project in Chicago. But they grew frustrated at seeing Walker’s character being made foolish and his role expanded.

“The fact is that Esther’s criticism, and also that of John and others — some of it very pointed and personal — seriously damaged my appeal in the Black community,” Walker wrote in his 2012 memoir “Dyn-O-Mite! Good Times, Bad Times, Our Times.”

After three seasons of critical acclaim and high ratings, Amos was fired. He had become critical of the show’s white writing staff creating storylines that he felt were inauthentic to the Black characters.

“There were several examples where I said, ‘No, you don’t do these things. It’s anathema to Black society. I’ll be the expert on that, if you don’t mind,’” he told Time magazine. “And it got confrontational and heated enough that ultimately my being killed off the show was the best solution for everybody concerned, myself included.”

Amos’ character was killed in a car accident. Walker lamented the situation. “If the decision had been up to me, I would have preferred that John stay and the show remain more of an ensemble,” he wrote in his memoir. “Nobody wanted me up front all the time, including me.”

Amos and Lear later reconciled and they shared a hug at a “Good Times” live TV reunion special in 2019.

Amos quickly bounced back, landing the role of an adult Kunta Kinte, the centerpiece of “Roots,” based on Alex Haley’s novel set during and after the era of slavery in the U.S. The miniseries was a critical and ratings blockbuster, and Amos earned one of its 37 Emmy nominations.

“I knew that it was a life-changing role for me, as an actor and just from a humanistic standpoint,” he told Time magazine. “It was the culmination of all of the misconceptions and stereotypical roles that I had lived and seen being offered to me. It was like a reward for having suffered those indignities.”

John graduated from Colorado State University with a sociology degree and played on the school’s football team.

Before pursuing acting, he moved to New York and was a social worker at the Vera Institute of Justice, working with defendants at the Brooklyn House of Detention.

He had a brief professional football career, playing in various minor leagues. He signed a free-agent contract in 1967 with the Kansas City Chiefs, but coach Hank Stram encouraged Amos to pursue his interest in writing instead. He had jobs as an advertising and comedy writer before moving in front of the camera.

Good Times was a blockbuster sitcom.

Amos’ first major TV role was as Gordy Howard, the weatherman on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” from 1970-73. As the show’s only Black character, he played straight man to bombastic anchor Ted Baxter.

He was a frequent guest star on “The West Wing,” and his other TV appearances included “Hunter,” “The District,” “Men in Trees,” “All About the Andersons,” “Two and a Half Men,” and “The Ranch.”

In 2020, Amos was inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame. He served in the New Jersey National Guard.

He is survived by daughter Shannon, a former entertainment executive, and Kelly Christopher, a Grammy-nominated video music director and editor. They were from his first marriage to Noel Mickelson, whom he met in college. His second marriage to actor Lillian Lehman also ended in divorce.

Norah O'Donnell and Margret Brennan will moderate the only vice presidential debate between the two. Former president Donald J. Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will be watching their running mate go to bat for them.

It will be the same as the ABC News Debate.

Israel Launches Its Evil Ground War In Lebanon!

When Russia invaded Ukraine, President Joe Biden pushed for boycotts and banning the federation from global activities. Waiting on Biden's calls for boycotts and banning of Israel. The regime started another invasion of Lebanon.

October is the month for surprises that could affect a presidential campaign.

Hurricane Helene, a longshoreman strike, vice presidential debate, Jimmy Carter turns 100 and now this.

Israel invades Lebanon despite President Joe Biden repeatedly warning this regime to not provoke a regional war. The president is not stopping military aid and continues to defend this regime despite 95% of world leaders demanding Israel be held accountable for its actions. It was never about the settlers (IDF) being held in Gaza. It was about Greater Israel.

Israeli ground forces crossed into southern Lebanon early Tuesday, marking a significant escalation of an offensive against Hezbollah militants and opening a new front in a yearlong war against its Iranian-backed adversaries.

The incursion follows weeks of heavy blows by Israel against Hezbollah — including an airstrike that killed its longtime leader, Hassan Nasrallah – and seeks to step up the pressure on the group, which began firing rockets into northern Israel after the start of the war in Gaza. The last time Israel and Hezbollah engaged in ground combat was a monthlong war in 2006.

The Israeli military said in a brief statement it had begun “limited, localized and targeted ground raids” against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

“These targets are located in villages close to the border and pose an immediate threat to Israeli communities in northern Israel,” it said.

There was no word on how long the operation would last, but the army said soldiers had been training and preparing for the mission in recent months. Israel has said it will continue to strike the group until it is safe for displaced Israelis from border communities to return to their homes.

Ahead of the Israeli announcement, U.S. officials said Israel had launched small ground raids inside Lebanon, and Israel declared three small border communities to be a “closed military zone,” restricting access only to army personnel.

There were no reports of direct clashes between Israeli troops and Hezbollah militants. But throughout the evening, Israeli artillery units pounded targets in southern Lebanon and the sounds of airstrikes were heard throughout Beirut.

Smoke rose from the capital’s southern suburbs, where Hezbollah has a strong presence, shortly after Israel ordered residents of three buildings to evacuate.

Israel has a long and bloody history in Lebanon. It briefly invaded in 1978 in a strike against Palestinian militants. It invaded again in 1982 in an operation that turned into an 18-year occupation of southern Lebanon.

The stepped-up action against Hezbollah also could raise the risk of a broader region-wide war as Israel confronts a series of foes backed by archenemy Iran.

Israel this week carried out an airstrike in Yemen against the Houthi militia in response to a series of missile strikes. Netanyahu has also threatened Iran, warning the Tehran government that Israel is capable of striking anywhere in the Middle East.

The United States and its allies have called for a cease-fire, hoping to avoid further escalation that could draw in Iran and set off a wider war. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has shown little interest, as his country racks up military achievements against a longtime foe.

France, which has close ties to Lebanon, has joined the United States in calling for a cease-fire. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, visiting Beirut Monday, urged Israel to refrain from a ground offensive.

Barrot also called on Hezbollah to stop firing on Israel, saying the group “bears heavy responsibility in the current situation, given its choice to enter the conflict.”

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, speaking after meeting with Barrot, said the country is committed to an immediate cease-fire followed by the deployment of Lebanese troops in the south, in keeping with a U.N. Security Council resolution that ended the 2006 war but was never fully implemented.

Manchin Again!

Like Kamala Harris needed this racist Joe Manchin endorsing her.

We cannot allow the Democratic Party to inherit racism and bigotry.

If Kamala Harris becomes the next president of the United States, I hope she never attends the funerals of Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema and John Fetterman when they pass away.

I hope their deaths will be ignored in the junk food media. Of course, I could care less about how people think now. May Manchin rest in piss.

Hopefully, he will die like Joe Lieberman. 

I swear the Democrats need to move to the left and expel all the distractions.

I have a feeling that if Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) and Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) win their senate bids, they will join Fetterman in stalling a Harris agenda.

I have feeling that Fetterman will work with Donald J. Trump if he does become president again.

Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV) announced he will not endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for president. 

He also announced he will not change the filibuster rules to codify abortion rights which President Joe Biden vowed to push in his lame duck session.

Earlier, Manchin was more vociferous about Harris' announcement that she'd be in favor of scrapping the chamber's 60-vote filibuster to pass a law reviving the abortion protections that existed under Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that was scrapped in 2022.

"Shame on her," Manchin, who is retiring and left the Democratic Party earlier this year, told CNN. "She knows the filibuster is the Holy Grail of democracy. It's the only thing that keeps us talking and working together."

Sinema, another retiring Democrat-turned-independent and filibuster defender, also panned the idea, saying it would open the door to further restrictions by a future Republican Senate majority.

October Suprise is a coming.

"To state the supremely obvious, eliminating the filibuster to codify Roe v Wade also enables a future Congress to ban all abortion nationwide," Sinema posted on X. "What an absolutely terrible, shortsighted idea."

Harris, who along with President Joe Biden, had supported changing Senate rules to help restore Roe v. Wade's protections, which allow abortions until a fetus is viable. She reiterated her stance in an interview with Wisconsin Public Radio.

"I've been very clear: I think we should eliminate the filibuster for Roe,' Harris said. "Fifty-one votes would be what we need to actually put back in law the protections for reproductive freedom and for the ability of every person and every woman to make decisions about their own body and not have their government tell them what to do."

Harris' comments come as she pivots to the center to win over undecided voters, but abortion remains a key issue that fires up the Democratic base and helped the vice president find her footing in office. She has been particularly vocal on the issue after reports of two Georgia women's deaths seemingly due to delayed treatment after undergoing medication abortions.

Still, it's unclear if Democrats would have the votes to pass any abortion protections, as their 51-49 majority hangs by a thread this November due to a formidable map that has them defending seats in several purple states and the red states of Montana and Ohio.

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer was circumspect on what kind of legislation Democrats would push, only saying Tuesday that "it's something our caucus will discuss in the next session of Congress."

Former President Donald Trump celebrated Manchin's saying he wouldn't endorse Harris.

"Congratulations to Senator Joe Manchin for not endorsing Radical Kamala Harris because of her DEATH WISH for the Filibuster and the Rule of Law. Joe knows that only the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, can protect our Country, our People, and Make America Great Again," Trump posted on his social media platform.

Former president Jimmy Carter wants to die peacefully knowing Kamala Harris is president-elect.

Former president James Earl Carter is 100 years old today. As he is in hospice, the former president's family acknowledged that he will pass away any day.

He hopes he can pass away comfortably knowing the United States elected the first woman president. 

Democrats are celebrating the 39th President of the United States birthday.

William Jefferson Clinton (42nd), George Walker Bush (43rd) and Barack Hussein Obama (44th) have congratulated Carter for reaching the milestone.

A former peanut farmer and Navy veteran, Carter has lived nearly six years longer than another age-defying former president, George H.W. Bush, a Republican who was 94 and 171-days old when he died Nov. 30, 2018.

Carter marked his 100th birthday 10 days after his life and legacy was celebrated with a star-studded concert at the Fox Theater in Atlanta that featured performances of “Love Shack” by Georgia’s own B-52’s and covers of some of the best-known songs by The Allman Brothers, a Southern rock band that raised money for Carter’s successful presidential campaign in 1976.

The involvement of what was then one of the nation’s most popular bands in Carter's campaign earned the famously strait-laced candidate the unlikely nickname of “the rock ‘n’ roll president.”

While the guest of honor couldn’t be in Atlanta for his shindig, the concert was intended to be a gift for the 39th president, and Carter was expected to watch the special on Georgia Public Television as part of his private family celebration.

Roselyn Carter, the love of Jimmy Carter had passed away in 2023.

Not in attendance at his 100th birthday bash was the love of his long, long life, his wife, Rosalynn Carter, who died last November at 96. He made an appearance at her tribute service in a wheelchair, his legs covered in a blanket adorned with both their faces on it.

Carter who served from 1977 to 1981 was similar to the current president.

He came in after Gerald Rudolph Ford, Jr. (38th) screwed up his presidency by pardoning Richard Milhouse Nixon (37th). Ford led the nation with inflation, instability in the Middle East and division. Carter inherited it and tried to guide through the noise. The Republicans seeking revenge moved the policies from moderate/conservative to far right and extreme.

Ronald Wilson Reagan (40th) managed to tap into the working class white (i.e. racism) to win in a landslide. He picked rival George Herbert Walker Bush (41st) to at least moderate some policies and won over frustrated Democrats who ended up being lifelong Republicans. It appears the Republicans are trying to repeat the formula.

International Longshoremen Union goes on strike. Dockworkers at ports from Maine to Texas began walking picket lines early Tuesday in a strike over wages and automation that could reignite inflation and cause shortages of goods if it goes on more than a few weeks.

The contract between the ports and about 45,000 members of the International Longshoremen’s Association expired at midnight, and even though progress was reported in talks on Monday, the workers went on strike. The strike affecting 36 ports is the first by the union since 1977.

Workers began picketing at the Port of Philadelphia shortly after midnight, walking in a circle at a rail crossing outside the port and chanting “No work without a fair contract.”

The union had message boards on the side of a truck reading: “Automation Hurts Families: ILA Stands For Job Protection.”

Local ILA president Boise Butler said workers want a fair contract that doesn’t allow automation of their jobs.

CVS Health is laying off nearly 3,000 employees nationwide, a company spokesperson confirmed Monday.

The disclosure about job cuts came shortly before national news outlets reported that CVS’s board is considering whether to break up the company, which owns insurer Aetna and pharmacy-benefit manager Caremark in addition to its well-known retail stores.

CVS spokesperson Mike DeAngelis said the Woonsocket-based pharmacy giant will be eliminating 2,900 jobs, citing “continued disruption, regulatory pressures and evolving consumer needs and expectations.”

Then president George W. Bush invites then president-elect Barack Obama to the Oval Office. Obama is greeted by George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, former presidents.

He didn’t immediately disclose how many of the job cuts will happen in Rhode Island. But company officials said they plan to file a layoff notice with the state next week — a step which is only required when an employer is firing 50 or more employees.

Israel has official launched its invasion of Lebanon. It also seeks to invade Syria and Iran. The regime has pushed propaganda to justify the violence and continues to claim its seeks the release of the "hostages" in Gaza.

A year and Benjamin Mileikowsky is still trying to "free the hostages" and seek "peace" through "the curse."

Again for the far right who can't seem to get it, Kamala Devi Harris is the first woman, first African American, first South Asian American, first person of color to be the Vice President of the United States.

If elected, she will be the first woman, second African American, first South Asian, second person of color to be the President of the United States.

While I strongly oppose Harris' stance on Israel, her policies are mainstream.

Despite her association to President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. (46th) and his stances, it is a choice between more of the same versus more of the chaos.

Her opponent, Donald John Trump, Sr. has no policies. All he has grievances and insults. He barely defended his first term accomplishments. He is showing signs of senility. He brags about how his only term as president was better than everyone else. Trump is literally opposed by 90% of his former administration officials and his former running mate Michael Richard Pence.

Trump has not offered any plans or policies but the junk food media wants Harris to explain everything in her plans and policies.

Tonight is also the debate of Timothy James Walz and James David Vance.

The Minnesota governor and Ohio senator will have their only debate and it will be interesting to see the two Midwesterners debate the Haitians eating the pets lie.

So as we enter October, its football, election shenanigans and basketball preseason.

Pete Rose Passed Away!

Pete Rose, the legendary infielder/outfielder and manager of the Cincinnati Reds died in Las Vegas.

The legendary and infamous baseball player Pete Rose, the man they named Charlie Hustle has passed away at 83 years old. Pete Edward Rose, Sr. was born in Cincinnati in 1941.

He passed away in Las Vegas of possible natural causes. He was in Nashville prior for an autograph signing.

Disgraced after a betting scandal while managing the Cincinnati Reds, he died trying to reclaim his name and legacy in Cooperstown, New York at the Baseball Hall of Fame. 

Lodged as a possible sexual predator after three women claimed abuse including one who was a minor, Rose maintain no sexual encounter occurred.

Hailed one of the members of the Big Red Machine, he took the Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Philies to MLB Division and World Series Championships.

Rose played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1963 to 1986, most prominently as a member of the Cincinnati Reds lineup known as the Big Red Machine for their dominance of the National League in the 1970s. He also had a successful stint playing for the Philadelphia Phillies, where he won his third World Series championship, as well as a brief stint with the Montreal Expos. During and after his playing career, he served as the manager of the Reds from 1984 to 1989.

Rose is MLB's all-time leader in hits (4,256), games played (3,562), at-bats (14,053), singles (3,215) and outs (10,328). He won three World Series championships, three batting titles, one Most Valuable Player Award, two Gold Glove Awards, and the Rookie of the Year Award. He also made seventeen All-Star appearances at an unequaled five positions (second baseman, left fielder, right fielder, third baseman and first baseman). Rose won both of his Gold Gloves when he was an outfielder, in 1969 and 1970.

The all time hit king. Pete Rose's passing could finally put him in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

In August 1989 (his last year as a manager and three years after retiring as a player), Rose was penalized with permanent ineligibility from baseball amidst accusations that he gambled on baseball games while he played for and managed the Reds; the charges of wrongdoing included claims that he bet on his own team. In 1991, the Baseball Hall of Fame formally voted to ban those on the "permanently ineligible" list from induction, after previously excluding such players by informal agreement among voters. After years of public denial, Rose admitted in 2004 that he bet on baseball and on the Reds. The issue of his possible reinstatement and election to the Hall of Fame remains contentious throughout baseball.

He was fired from the Reds soon after. The commissioner who placed the lifetime ban, Bart Giamatti had passed away from a massive heart attack.

Rose had a brief stint with a few minor league teams that were not affiliated with the MLB or MiLB. He managed the Bridgeport Bluefish.

Thanks to his gambling and debts, he avoided paying taxes.

Pete Rose had a brief stint as a wrestler and celebrity referee in the WWE.

Rose entered a plea of guilty to two charges of filing false income tax returns not showing income he received from selling autographs and memorabilia and from horseracing winnings. On July 19, he was sentenced to five months in the minimum security prison camp at the United States Penitentiary in Marion, Illinois, and fined $50,000. Rose was released on January 7, 1991, after having paid $366,041 in back taxes and interest and was required to perform 1,000 hours of community service.

Rose married Karolyn Englehardt on January 25, 1964. The couple had two children, daughter Fawn (b. 1964) and son Pete Rose Jr. (b. 1969). The marriage ended in divorce in 1980. In 1978, a paternity suit was filed naming Rose as the father of Morgan Erin Rubio. In a 1996 settlement of the lawsuit, Rose acknowledged that Rubio was his daughter.

Rose married his second wife, Carol J. Woliung, in 1984. They had two children, son Tyler (b. 1984) and daughter Cara (b. 1989), who was born two days before Rose's banishment from MLB. Rose filed for divorce from Carol in March 2011, citing irreconcilable differences, but his petition did not offer any additional details. Rose did not include a date for their separation. Documents in the filing said that Rose was looking to acquire all memorabilia and other possessions from before the marriage.

John Ashton Passed Away!

John Ashton, known for the Beverly Hills Cop franchise has passed away.

John Ashton, the veteran character actor who memorably played the gruff but lovable police detective John Taggart in the “Beverly Hills Cop” films, has died. He was 76.

Ashton died Thursday in Fort Collins, Colorado, his family announced in a statement released by Ashton’s manager, Alan Somers, on Sunday. No cause of death was immediately available.

In a career that spanned more than 50 years, Ashton was a regular face across TV series and films, including “Midnight Run,” “Little Big League” and “Gone Baby Gone.”

But in the “Beverly Hills Cop” films, Ashton played an essential part of an indelible trio. Though Eddie Murphy’s Axel Foley, a Detroit detective following a case in Los Angeles, was the lead, the two local detectives — Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and Ashton’s Taggart — were Axel’s sometimes reluctant, sometimes eager collaborators.

Of the three, Taggart — “Sarge” to Billy — was the more fearful, by-the-book detective. But he would regularly be coaxed into Axel’s plans. Ashton co-starred in the first two films, beginning with the 1984 original, and returned for the the Netflix reboot, “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F,” released earlier this year.

Ashton played a more unscrupulous character in Martin Brest’s 1988 buddy comedy “Midnight Run.” He was the rival bounty hunter also pursuing Charles Grodin’s wanted accountant in “The Duke” while he’s in the custody of Robert De Niro’s Jack Walsh.

Speaking in July to Collider, Ashton recalled auditioning with De Niro.

“Bobby started handing me these matches, and I went to grab the matches, and he threw them on the floor and stared at me,” said Ashton. “I looked at the matches, and I looked up, and I said, ‘F—- you,’ and he said, ‘F—- you, too.’ I said, ‘Go —- yourself.’ I know every other actor picked those up and handed it to him, and I found out as soon as I left he went, ‘I want him,’ because he wanted somebody to stand up to him.”

Ashton is survived by his wife, Robin Hoye, of 24 years, two children, three stepchildren, a grandson, two sisters and a brother.
