Final debate of the year. Next year, crunch time. |
DONALD J. TRUMP HAS A 65% CHANCE OF WINNING REELECTION.
Despite being the third American president to be impeached, Trump still continues to dismiss the impeachment as a "hoax."
No. This is very serious. When Congress issues the Articles of Impeachment on a sitting president, it implicates a criminal act while in office. It maintains the equal branches of power's role in governance. Despite what Trump and his allies say, the Democrats were right on this.
Trump violated his sworn duty as the protector of his country and its people. By inviting Russian, Chinese and Ukrainian to interfere in the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election, he violated his oath of office.
Trump claims that he did nothing wrong. Yet, he is not willing to have White House officials testify under oath. He was not willing to give up key documents when subpoenaed.
Congress weakened him but it won't stop him from trying to rile up his base. He already claims that his impeachment is an attack on his supporters. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has sealed the fate of the 45th President of the United States. For the history books, Trump will forever have that label on his legacy.
Pelosi is delaying delivery of the Articles of Impeachment to Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell (R-KY). After his appearance on Sean "Softball" Hannity's toxic waste dump, Pelosi demands McConnell to pursue this with fairness. McConnell already said that he's counseled with the White House and said he will not a be an impartial juror.
Pelosi will not hand McConnell placing the Senate trial in jeopardy. Trump can't be cleared until the Senate holds a trial. Pelosi can have a hold on the Articles of Impeachment indefinitely. She warns McConnell and Senate Republicans that the Democrats can play the same games as well.
And if Trump does get a second term, the charges will not go away. It will be on the records and he will forever be tarnished. I mean his antics, his adultery, his bigotry, his lies and his governance should be enough.
Who won tonight's Democratic debate? (Expect trolls to offer the dumbest answers and responses)
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT)
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA)
Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN)
Former vice president Joe Biden
South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg
Media mogul and business executive Andrew Yang
Business executive and billionaire activist Tom Steyer
Okay, those who didn't make the cut.
Ms. Present.
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) declined to attend the debate. All the kerfuffle about her being denied a place at the table. All the worthless attacks on Hillary Clinton and her appearance on Murdoch's Trump TV, Gabbard has said that she's no longer going to be participating in debates. That is a signal that she may try to run as a third party candidate once the primaries and caucuses begin.
Gabbard if she had appeared would have been attacked for her tepid responses to impeachment, the present vote, her appeal to far-white extremists and her obsession with Hillary Clinton.
Gabbard who voted "present" during the vote for impeachment has riled up Democrats. That along with Rep. Collin Peterson (D-MN), Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-NJ) and Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME) voted against impeachment. Golden voted for "abuse of power" but no "obstruction of justice."
Van Drew will leave the Democratic Party after the Winter recess. He will join the Republican Party.
Gabbard isn't the only person off the stage. Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) is the second person off the stage. He made a huge fuss about the lack of diversity on the debate stage.
Bro..... The voters aren't into you!
Booker will likely appear at the next debate after he and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro made a complaint to Tom Perez, the DNC chief about the rules. Again, the Democrats signed to the rules when they declared their presidential bid.
The impeachment of Donald J. Trump has sucked the air out the room. The Democrats still have no viable candidate ready to take on the onslaught of misinformation, slander and ad hominem attacks of Trump and his allies in the far-white media.
Democrats better find something or face a wipe out.
Trump is trolling already.

The House Democrats were unable to get even a single vote from the Republicans on their Impeachment Hoax. The Republicans have never been so united! The Dem’s case is so bad that they don’t even want to go to trial!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 20, 2019

Also off the stage include Michael Bloomberg, Deval Patrick, Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO), Marianne Williamson and John Delaney.
The debate is being held by PBS Newshour, The Politico and Loyola Marymount University. The debate would have been cancelled. There was a public strike between the college and employees.
Democrats risked scrutiny if they decided to participate in the debate despite the strike. Thankfully the strike has ended and the candidates were able to take the stage.
