Live In Front Of A Studio Audience: All In The Family And Good Times!

John Amos makes a surprise appearance on a live taping of Good Times. Norman Lear and Jimmy Kimmel introduce their second installment of Lear's iconic sitcoms.
I watched it but forgot to post my reaction.

If you didn't get an opportunity to see the live taping of Norman Lear's All In The Family and Good Times Live, don't worry. It will come back on soon. But due to the impeachment of Donald J. Trump, I didn't get an opportunity to post my remarks on it.

It happened on Wednesday. Norman Lear and Jimmy Kimmel host a live studio audience to a reboot of two iconic sitcoms of the 1970s.

Mind you, I was tuned into the impeachment vote. I almost forgot about it. But as soon as ABC News ended their live feed, the show went on.

So you remember Woody Harrelson and Marisa Tomei played Archie and Edith Bunker? Well they reprise their roles for the live taping.
Viola Davis, Woody Harrelson, Marissa Tomei, Jimmy Kimmel, Jay Pharoah, Kevin Bacon and others join Jimmy Kimmel in his production of Norman Lear's iconic sitcoms.
Also Viola Davis and Andre Braugher got in on the action too. In the Good Times live taping, they played Florida and James Evans. Good Times was a sitcom that lasted for six seasons and was one of Janet Jackson's first acting gigs.

Others who appeared in the live taping include: Kevin Bacon, Justina Machado, Jesse Eisenberg, Tiffany Haddish and Jay Pharoah, Corrine Foxx (Bishop) and Asante Black

The surprise guest was John Amos. The legendary actor who original played James Evans in the three seasons of Good Times patched up his feud with Norman Lear and made an appearance. Amos left the show because he felt the show portrayed African Americans in a negative light. The show went on through three seasons before its cancellation.

The first installment was All In The Family and The Jeffersons. The most memorable part was Jamie Foxx (Corrine's father) ad-libbed a line and still nailed it.
