Duncan Hunter is resigning after he was found guilty of corruption. |
Duncan Hunter, Jr. (known as Duncan D. Hunter), is the Republican representing San Diego area in its 50th Congressional District. He is a far-white bigot and staunch Trump supporter.
Now, he will be a convicted criminal and felon.
In 2017, the Department of Justice began a criminal investigation of Hunter for corruption.
His wife Margaret Hunter was indicted on corruption and was named a co-conspirator in this affair.
Hunter pleaded guilty to one count of corruption. She acknowledged that she had conspired with her husband to spend over $200,000 in campaign funds on personal expenses. She agreed to give testimony and cooperate with the prosecution. The plea agreement could send her to federal time out for up to five years.
From Jarhead to Sweeper: Duncan Hunter's downfall came hard. |
Hunter plead guilty to the charges after years of denying wrong-doing. He admitted to the House Ethics Committee that rules were violated. He was told to start packing.
He was stripped of his title, his committee assignments and is no longer allowed to vote on anything.
He notified Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) of his departure.
Now that he is convicted he could spend up to five to ten in federal time out. He had to sell his home and move back into his daddy's home. His father is former congressman Duncan L. Hunter, Sr.
A disgraceful Republican leaves the House of Representatives. Just like many of these Republicans, they relished in bigotry, greed, corruption and the alter of Donald J. Trump. Hunter's bigotry will finally come to an end.
Ammar Campa-Najjar faces an uphill challenge. His potential challenger Darrell Issa could make his chances of winning the suburban San Diego seat difficult. |
She ain't a person who cheated on her spouse with a stripper, porn star and has numerous allegations of sexual harassment. She doesn't have three baby daddies unlike our current leader who has three baby mamas. She ain't a pervert like our dear leader.
His opponent, Ammar Campa-Najjar is looking for a rematch. He is likely to face former lawmaker Darrell Issa in the general election. Issa who recently left the House of Representatives signaled he was going to challenge Hunter in the primary. Now that Issa is primarily the favorite, it's going to be another challenge for Democrats to take a seat.
Issa, does have political baggage and he could be considered a liability but if he does secure enough votes in the jungle primary, he will be the leading candidate in the general.
