21 Savage faces deportation after ICE detained him. |
Rapper who scored No. 1 for two weeks at Billboard's Top 40 albums is busted by the feds for being an immigrant who overstayed his welcome.
i am > i was is a platinum album.
21 Savage was caught by Immigration Customs Enforcement and he faces deportation. Bryan Cox confirms the rapper was arrested in Atlanta on the grounds of being a British national who overstayed his visa. He visa expired July 2006 and he hasn't renewed since.
21 Savage (born Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph) is a rapper, songwriter and record producer from the Atlanta area. The rapper was allegedly entered in the U.S. legally as a minor, but failed to depart under the terms of his nonimmigrant visa.
ICE said that the rapper became unlawful since 2006.
"Mr. Abraham-Joseph is presently in ICE custody in Georgia and has been placed into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts," ICE said in a statement. "ICE will now await the outcome of his case before a federal immigrant judge to determine future actions."
This is a shock to his fans. He often touted the lifestyle and it's not likely going to help his case.
ICE's allegation of 21 Savage being a British citizen is shocking. His fans said that he related to the Atlanta streets. He has the 21 in his name as a reference to the street gangs of Decatur.
He often raps about gang lifestyle and he's from the 6.
Atlanta's Zone 6.
21 Savage worked with Metro Boomin, J. Cole, Post Malone, Offset, Gucci Mane, Cardi B and others.
This explosive news rocked hip-hop. So besides Tekashi 6ix9ine, who else will be exposed a human being. I mean the hip-hop culture is so fake. Rappers and their supporters live in fiction.
21 Savage does have three children. So this is going to be hard to swallow if he's deported. He has children and they won't see their dad anymore.
Every rapper takes a shit on the toilet.
Every rapper gotta to pay the bills.
Every rapper got to make a living by making music.
So please spare the jokes, the rapper deserves a fair trial and a chance to stay in the United States.
The entertainer is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
