Famed entertainer Robin Leach passed away. |
He was the most notable host of The Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. It was confirmed that the personality died from complications of a stroke.
He was in Cabo San Lucas when he had the stroke.
"Despite the past 10 months, what a beautiful life he had. Our Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, and friend Robin Leach passed away peacefully last night at 1:50 am., Leach's family told Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist John Katsilometes.
"Everyone's support and love the past, almost one year, has been incredible and we are so grateful. Memorial arrangements to follow. With love, Steven, Gregg and Rick Leach."
Leach was notable for his quotable remarks.
"Champagne and caviar dreams."
He would have turned 77 years old in a few days.
Leach had worked for many publications like People Magazine, The New York Daily News and The Daily Mail before he became the famous host.
In 1984 until 1995, Leach hosted "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous."
He was often parodied and appeared as himself on various programs.
