A federal grand jury convicted former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort of eight felonies.
Each of these charges could put the former Republican operative and Russian agent in federal time out for LIFE. The guilty plea on eight charges of financial crimes is a victory for Robert Mueller.
The jury was deadlocked on 10 other charges. Federal judge T.S. Ellis declared a mistrial on the remaining counts.
Prosecutors said that Manafort collected a hefty sum from foreign bank accounts and had made crazy purchases during that same period. The allegations include the loans from his Ukrainian political work.
Now as he is considered a felon. He will also face a second round of trial. He is also heading to Washington, DC. Manafort failed to register as a foreign agent and was doing some money laundering.
Trial is set for the fall. Big news for the Trump team. Michael Cohen flips and took a plea deal.
