Daytona Beach, Florida talk radio host Karen Bernier passed away from complications of COVID-19.

The far-right agitator who said he wouldn't get vaccinated has died. The third on-air personality who voiced skepticism about getting the shot passed away this month.

The 65-year old agitator who dubbed himself, "Mr. Anti-Vaxx" died after three weeks of fighting the coronavirus. 

"It's with great sadness that WNDB and Southern Stone Communications announce the passing of Karen Bernier, who informed and entertained listeners on WNDB for over 30 years," his flagship station tweeted on social media.

"We kindly ask that privacy is given to Marc's family during this time of grief."

The Rhode Island native was initially hospitalized on August 7. The agitator's guests said that his anti-vaccination views were based on how he believed vaccines impacted other close to him -- rather than politics.

On December 19, about a week after Pfizer's vaccine received emergency use authorization, a co-host asked Bernier if he planned on getting the jab.

"I'm not taking it," he said. "Are you kidding me? Mr. Anti-Vax? Jeepers."

Republican sheriff of Volusia County Mike Chitwood said Bernier's death had him hard.

The far-right host from Nashville found his ignorant doomed him.

This marks the third conservative agitator to die of the coronavirus. The other idiots who died were Karen Farrel, a former Newsmax host turned talk radio agitator and the nationally syndicated Karen Valentine who made a mock song called, "Mr. Vaxman."

Valentine was the only idiot to repent for his ignorance. His family told the junk food media, that he wished he didn't mock Biden's handling of the coronavirus. Now he paid the price and his wife and two sons are with him.

So much for that "freedom."

Although the coronavirus vaccines can prevent transmission and hospitalization, the virulent Delta variant has been the source of a small proportion of "breakthrough" cases that can affect older and immunocompromised people.

Of course, there's folks who are fully vaccinated but end up getting the coronavirus. As with vaccines, nothing is 100%. The vaccines are capable of preventing the coronavirus. At best, it's a 94% prevention rate which means 1 out of 500 could be infected even if they're vaccinated.

President Joe Biden had hopes that Americans would take this shit seriously. Unfortunately, Republicans so fucking eager to return to power will keep Americans fixated on the culture wars. Now vaccinations are part of this culture war.

But those fighting the culture war by not vaccinating, not wearing face mask in public, not following protocols, and deliberately ignoring federal and international rules when traveling are going to be the first casualties of the war. 

With this pandemic mostly affecting states where Republican governors are, we may have to return to wearing facial protection and cutting back services to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.

We came so far only to have a bunch of selfish idiots set it back. Just because they hate President Joe Biden.

The Republicans are so devoted to destroying Biden and the country for what....to regain power.

According to the CDC, there is still not enough information on antibodies for COVID-19 and whether they can prevent someone from getting reinfected. It still recommends that people with a positive antibody test follow recommendations for protecting themselves and others.

The coronavirus doesn't care about your age, race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, politics, economic or social standings. It doesn't care about anything. It's a living organism that causes mild symptoms that include: fever, sore throats, chills, respiratory issues, loss of taste or smell and other unknown symptoms. If you have a weak immune system or health issues, your risk increases.

Death does happen to at least 40% of those who are affected by COVID-19. 

If you're not vaccinated, your chances of death increases to 62%.

Healthy people can die from this. Take this seriously. You only have one life!

Only a few weeks ago, Ed Asner has told the junk food media, there's no need to retire, he's still working hard and still getting paid. The legendary actor who appeared on television, movies and radio has passed away at the age of 91.

He will already be known for his role on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. I also remember Asner as a very talented voice actor and progressive activist.

Asner, the burly and prolific character actor who became a star in middle age as the gruff but lovable newsman Lou Grant, first in the hit comedy “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and later in the drama “Lou Grant,” died Sunday.

Asner's representative confirmed the actor's death in an email to The Associated Press. Asner's official Twitter account included a note from his children: “We are sorry to say that our beloved patriarch passed away this morning peacefully. Words cannot express the sadness we feel. With a kiss on your head- Goodnight dad. We love you.”

Built like the football lineman he once was, the balding Asner was a journeyman actor in films and TV when he was hired in 1970 to play Lou Grant on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show.” For seven seasons he was the rumpled boss to Moore’s ebullient Mary Richards (He called her “Mary,” she called him “Mr. Grant”) at the fictional Minneapolis TV newsroom where both worked. Later, he would play the role for five years on “Lou Grant.”

Asner’s character had caught on from the first episode of “Mary Tyler Moore,” when he told Mary in their initial meeting, “You’ve got spunk. ... I hate spunk!” The inspired cast included Ted Knight as Ted Baxter, the dimwitted news anchor; Gavin MacLeod as Murray Slaughter, the sarcastic news writer; and Betty White as the manipulative, sex-obsessed home show hostess Sue Ann Nivens. Valerie Harper and Cloris Leachman, playing Mary’s neighbors, both saw their characters spun off into their own shows.

Asner is the third “Mary Tyler Moore” alum to die in recent months. Leachman died in January and MacLeod died in May.

The 99-year-old White is the lone surviving main cast member from “Mary Tyler Moore."

“Mary Tyler Moore” was still a hit when the star decided to pursue other interests, and so it was brought to an end in the seventh season with a hilarious finale in which all of the principals were fired except for the bumbling Baxter.

Asner went immediately into “Lou Grant,” his character moving from Minneapolis to Los Angeles to become city editor of the Tribune, a crusading newspaper under the firm hand of Publisher Margaret Pynchon, memorably played by Nancy Marchand.

Mary Tyler Moore built an empire of celebrities. Ed Asner was one of her best friends.

Asner won three best supporting actor Emmys on “Mary Tyler Moore” and two best actor awards on “Lou Grant.” He also won Emmys for his roles in the miniseries “Rich Man, Poor Man” (1975-1976) and “Roots” (1976-1977).

He had more than 300 acting credits and remained active throughout his 70s and 80s in a variety of film and TV roles. In 2003, he played Santa Claus in Will Ferrell’s hit film “Elf.” He was John Goodman’s father in the short-lived 2004 CBS comedy “Center of the Universe” and the voice of the elderly hero in the hit 2009 Pixar release, “Up.” More recently, he was in such TV series as “Forgive Me” and “Dead to Me.”

Nonetheless, Asner told The Associated Press in 2009 that interesting roles were hard to come by.

“I never get enough work,” he said. “It’s the history of my career. There just isn’t anything to turn down, let me put it that way.”

“I’d say most people are probably in that same boat, old people, and it’s a shame,” he said.

As Screen Actors Guild president, the liberal Asner was caught up in a political controversy in 1982 when he spoke out against U.S. involvement with repressive governments in Latin America. “Lou Grant” was canceled during the furor that followed and he did not run for a third SAG term in 1985.

Asner discussed his politicization in a 2002 interview, noting he had begun his career during the McCarthy era and for years had been afraid to speak out for fear of being blacklisted.

Then he saw a nun’s film depicting the cruelties inflicted by El Salvador’s government on that country’s citizens.

“I stepped out to complain about our country’s constant arming and fortifying of the military in El Salvador, who were oppressing their people,” he said.

Former SAG President Charlton Heston and others accused him of making un-American statements and of misusing his position as head of their actors union.

“We even had bomb threats at the time. I had armed guards,” Asner recalled.

The actor blamed the controversy for ending the five-year run of “Lou Grant,” although CBS insisted declining ratings were the reason the show was canceled.

Although the show had its light moments, its scripts touched on a variety of darker social issues that most series wouldn’t touch at the time, including alcoholism and homelessness. Asner remained politically active for the rest of his life and in 2017 published the book “The Grouchy Historian: An Old-Time Lefty Defends Our Constitution Against Right-Wing Hypocrites and Nutjobs.”

Asner, born in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1929, almost became a newsman in real life. He studied journalism at the University of Chicago until a professor told him there was little money to be made in the profession.

He quickly switched to drama, debuting as the martyred Thomas Becket in a campus production of T.S. Eliot’s “Murder in the Cathedral.”

He eventually dropped out of school, going to work as a taxi driver and other jobs before being drafted in 1951. He served with the Army Signal Corps in France.

Returning to Chicago after military service, he appeared at the Playwrights Theatre Club and Second City, the famed satire troupe that launched the careers of dozens of top comedians.

Later, in New York, he joined the long-running “The Threepenny Opera” and appeared opposite Jack Lemmon in “Face of a Hero.”

Arriving in Hollywood in 1961 for an episode of television’s “Naked City,” Asner decided to stay and appeared in numerous movies and TV shows, including the film “El Dorado,” opposite John Wayne; and the Elvis Presley vehicles “Kid Galahad” and “Change of Habit.” He was a regular in the 1960s political drama series “Slattery’s People.”

He was married twice, to Nancy Lou Sykes and Cindy Gilmore, and had four children, Matthew, Liza, Kate and Charles.

The president is dealing with Afghanistan, the global pandemic and now a deadly hurricane.

A superstorm is expected to hit the state of Louisiana, 16 years to the day of the most deadliest hurricane to hit the state.

Much needed break from the constant coverage of the military pullout of Afghanistan. 

President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov, John Bel Edwards of Louisiana are warning Louisiana residents that every Parish is at risk of death and destruction. 

Hurricane Ida has made landfall in southern Louisiana and its path is direct impact on Baton Rouge.

The state has already declared a state of emergency and those who choose to stay are at risk of death.

The 911 system has crashed already in the state. 

The cyclone's path is basically stretching from Louisiana to Florida. The hurricane is a Category 4 which is considered catastrophic on the scale of 1 to 5. Hurricanes that are Category 5 are considered extremely catastrophic.

The hurricane churned out in the Gulf of Mexico last Monday and hit Cuba on Thursday. It was expected to pick up steam around Friday and those live in the impact zone were given ample time to prepare.

Ida made landfall over Port Fourchon, Louisiana, at about 11:55 a.m. CDT as the storm moved into the mouth of the Mississippi River, the National Hurricane Center said.

Air Force Reserve aircraft and radar data showed that "Ida's maximum sustained winds at landfall were estimated to be 150 mph," the NHC added. Rainfall projections topped two feet in some parts of southern Louisiana.

"This is going to be devastating — a devastating, a life-threatening storm," Biden told reporters after he was briefed by FEMA officials. "So please, all you folks in Mississippi and in Louisiana ... take precautions, listen, take it seriously."

The president also said he signed emergency declarations so those two gulf states will gain the "full resources and support of the federal government."

Bel Edwards told residents who didn’t evacuate to keep a loose mattress within reach — in case a home’s roof is ripped off by powerful gusts.

“Because of the possibility that severe winds will damage your home, it is a good idea to have a mattress nearby that you can use to put over yourself and other family members to protect yourself from any falling debris,” he said.

Despite all these dire warnings, New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell told people who opted against evacuating not to panic.

“Be calm in the midst of this storm. You can be calm," Cantrell said during a briefing on Sunday, just as Ida was making landfall.

"You have everything that you need. We will get through this together. Be prepared. Stay where you are.”

Collin Arnold, director of the New Orleans Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, warned residents that emergency services wouldn’t be able to reach them until Monday.

“You need to stay inside until tomorrow. We’ll look at this during the first light of day,” Arnold said. “There’s nobody coming right now. You need to stay inside.”

At landfall, the storm's wind speeds were just short of 157 mph, the level considered a Category 5 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane wind scale, which rates storms from 1 to 5 based on maximum sustained wind speed.

Only four storms have made landfall in the continental United States as Category 5 hurricanes in the last century: the Labor Day Hurricane in 1935, Camille in 1969, Andrew in 1992 and Michael in 2018.

Biden's most difficult duty is to call slain troops families to inform them of their deaths.

President Joe Biden and First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden went to view the bodies of the slain military officers killed in the Kabul attack.

The difficult thing the president has to do is call the families of slain troops. The president will obviously face flack from the far-right because they're supposedly the "patriots" while the left are "anti-American."

The politizing of troops has always been in the card deck of the Republicans. The very same shameless party that allowed the former president whip up a mob to attack the U.S. Capitol are doing armchair general and keyboard warrior in regards to the pullout of Afghanistan.

Biden stood witness with grieving families Sunday under a gray sky as, one by one, the remains of 13 U.S. troops killed in the Kabul suicide bombing were removed with solemnity from a military aircraft that brought them home.

The only sounds that could be heard during the mournful ritual of the “dignified transfer” were the quiet commands of the honor guards in battle dress who carried the flag-draped cases, the hum of the C-17 aircraft that had transported the fallen and the periodic sob of the sorrowful.

The Bidens met privately with family members of those killed in the suicide attack near the Kabul airport before the president became the fourth commander in chief over two decades of war to stand at attention at Dover Air Force Base as the remains of the fallen from Afghanistan returned home.

There were 13 members killed but 12 were identified at the time.

The dead ranged in age from 20 to 31, and came from California and Massachusetts and states in between. Five were just 20 — born not long before the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, that spurred the United States to invade Afghanistan in order to topple al-Qaeda and dismantle their Taliban hosts who ruled the country.

They include a 20-year-old Marine from Wyoming who had been expecting his first child in three weeks and a 22-year-old Navy corpsman who in his last FaceTime conversation with his mother assured her that he would stay safe because “my guys got me.”

At their deaths, the 13 young service members were on the ground for the U.S. coda to its longest war, assisting a chaotic evacuation of Americans and of Afghans who helped the U.S. war effort and are now fleeing the Taliban after their return to power.

“The 13 service members that we lost were heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of our highest American ideals and while saving the lives of others,” Biden said in a statement Saturday. “Their bravery and selflessness has enabled more than 117,000 people at risk to reach safety thus far.”

Biden held his hand over his heart and appeared to shut his eyes in prayer as each transfer case was taken off the military aircraft and placed in an awaiting vehicle.

Family members of the fallen often travel to Dover to be present for the return of the remains of their loved ones to American soil. Thursday’s attack left so many casualties that military officials said the Dover Fisher House, which the Defense Department provides for families of the fallen, was not large enough to accommodate all the grieving families, so some loved ones stayed off base.

Biden was joined by several top aides, including Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley, and Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Eleven of the fallen service members’ families chose to allow their transfers to be open to media coverage. Two others took place out of view, but Biden was present for those as well.

Biden’s three most recent predecessors as presidents all attended such dignified transfers. It was Biden’s first time taking part in the ritual as president, but he has been here before.

Biden attended a dignified transfer for two U.S. soldiers killed in a suicide blast at Bagram Airfield in the final months of his vice presidency in 2016. In 2008, while a senator and at the request of the grieving family, he attended one for a soldier killed in a car bombing in Iraq. Biden told CBS’ “Face the Nation” that he had to get permission from the Pentagon to attend the transfer.

The 13 troops who died in Kabul were the first U.S. service members killed in Afghanistan since February 2020. That was when the Trump administration reached an agreement with the Taliban that called for the militant group to halt attacks on Americans in exchange for a U.S. commitment to remove all American troops and contractors by May 2021. Biden announced in April that he would have all forces out by September.

Eleven of the 13 Americans killed were Marines. One was a Navy sailor and one an Army soldier.

Rev. Al Sharpton, Martin Luther King III, Bernice King, Democrats, Ludacris, Common and others demand the Congress pass the For The People's Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Bill.

The March on Washington is on and the many other cities are participating in this movement to demand voting rights for all Americans.

Thousands converged to Washington, DC to demand the protection of voting rights, walking in the footsteps of the 250,000 Americans who marched on the city in 1963. The day Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech which is praised a catalysis for moving voting rights.

Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH) and Rep. Al Green (D-TX) join the protests as well.

The brother of George Floyd, Philonise is also demanding the Congress pass the George Floyd Police Reform Act.

The bills are stalled in Congress by the two Democratic senators who refuse to go against the grain and reform the filibuster. The two Democrats, one from Arizona and one from West Virginia have ignored the calls from civil rights leaders and progressives. 

Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Arkansas, Iowa, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Arizona, Montana, Mississippi, Louisiana, Missouri, Kansas and Florida have passed or in the process of passing legislation that restricts mail-in voting, early voting and cutting hours to in-person voting.

Republicans seek to redistrict areas to keep them in power for generations.

Since 1992, the Republicans have failed to win the popular vote. The electoral college is looking more like it's in their favor because of the redistricting.

The Republicans are not willing to admit that Washed Up 45 lost fair and square. I mean he's still running around saying the election was stolen from him. That led to the insurrection.

The Republicans are shameless.

Democrats have a slim majority in the House of Representatives and a slim majority in the Senate with Vice President Kamala Harris being the tie-breaking vote.

On Fox, the softball does his upteenth interview with Washed Up 45. In this interview, the softball wanted the former president to grade President Joe Biden's handling of the Afghanistan War.

As expected, the former president gives a hodge podge of bullshit, arrogance and name calling.

When it came to the mastermind and key backer of the September 11, 2001 attacks, it's just a minor league player.

We're coming to 20 years since one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in U.S. history. It appears that Republican presidents often fuck up something. George W. Bush fucked up in his first eight months.

The junk food media is hammering Biden over the troop pullout in Afghanistan.They practically begged Americans to unite when the commercial airliners crashed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Had it been a Democrat, they would drag the person through the mud.

Yet, the Republicans and conservative agitators are constantly praising his handling of the worst attack on American soil sponsored by Saudi Arabian and Kuwaiti men who swore an alliance to al-Qaeda.

Washed Up 45 often loves to brag about how much he's done in the mere four years of his shameless presidency. I mean he's already blaming the economic mess, the pandemic and Afghanistan on Biden.

While discussing the Taliban and the evolving crisis in Afghanistan during an interview with Karen Hewitt, Washed Up 45 boasted about the operations during his tenure that killed the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and the top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.

"You know, we got al-Baghdadi of ISIS, and he was trying to rebuild ISIS. And when I took over, ISIS was all over the place, Hugh. It was all over the place. And then I got a certain general who was fantastic," the former president said.

The photo is fake. However the former president believes that Osama bin Laden only hit the U.S. once.

"ISIS is tougher than the Taliban, and nastier than the Taliban. And ISIS was watching, and then they were, they didn't exist anymore. And we took out the founder of ISIS, al-Baghdadi, and then of course Soleimani. Now just so you understand, Soleimani is bigger by many, many times than Osama bin Laden," the former president went on to say.

Osama bin Laden had one hit, and it was a bad one, in New York City, the World Trade Center," Washed Up 45 added. "But these other two guys were monsters. They were monsters. At least 13 US service members were killed and 18 others were wounded in an ISIS-K attack outside Kabul's airport on Thursday. Dozens of Afghans were also killed and wounded.

Here's what you need to know about bad faith actors and grifters.

• They always play the victim.
• They always drive their troll army to attack critics.
• They always have an announcement or a call to action.
• They always seek fame online, on television or on radio.
• They always deflect from questions about accountability, transparency or liability.
• They always block critics and sometimes allies of the same movement.

Do not get upset someone on Facebook or Twitter blocks you. They have more to hide than you. They are triggered by rhetorical questions, criticisms and personal attacks on their credibility. I am not worried about some stranger on the internet blocking me. They know that they can't keep the charade up forever. They will always fail and social media is not real life. The moment the spotlight is off them, they will find another way to return and ask you for donations or calls to action. These folks need attention. 

He's back on Twitter again!

The King of Grifting is back on social media. It was promised that Jeffrey Shaun King has said he'll be back on Twitter. The leftist is back on Twitter (though it's in protected mode).

Just a few weeks ago, he was urging his followers to help him move out of his $1 million dollar New Jersey home. The leftist said that his wife Rai made the purchase and he feels like the New York Post, Fox and The Daily Mail exposed his family to potential death threats.

The agitator is also promoting his A Real One clothing line on his private Instagram page. He is trying to inspire his supporters to buy clothing for justice.

King, 41, writes about civil and human rights for The Intercept and is the co-founder of the Real Justice PAC.

He also hosts the podcast The Breakdown with Shaun King and has written for several other outlets.

Now it appears he has set his sights on starting a clothing line.

Now he's launching WhatIsABlackMansLifeWorth.com. It's supposed to be a newsletter on how to be a Black man in America.

I mean he's just a shameless piece of work. He can't be serious.

Folks have long questioned his racial roots. He was born in Kentucky to a white mother and he claims that his mother had an affair with a light-skinned Black man. However, records said that he's born white and his father is Jeffrey Wayne King. 

The far-right and some on the left have questioned King's motives. Many of those in the Black Lives Matter movement are starting to question where the money King raises goes. Samaria Rice had forced King off social media when she called him and S. Lee Merritt out for being clout chasers. She said that Benjamin Crump, Tamika Mallory and Patrice Cullers have used their platforms to sell products off the blood of many of individuals killed by police violence or a vigilante. 

She isn't the only one who's complained about King. It appears that Trayvon Martin's family have called out King long before he became this face of the movement.

DeRay McKesson and many other activists who associated with Black Lives Matter have been blocked by King. They have called him out for being not transparent and deceptive. 

It's time to hold King accountable. If I was a prosecutor, I would look into his financial records and his non-disclosure agreements.

Weeks after the audiotape leak in which an ESPN commentator took aim at Maria Taylor is now finding herself out of a show and soon out of a job.

Rachel Nicholas found the digital dash. The longtime NBA host was removed from coverage of the sport and her show The Jump is cancelled. The network confirmed the news on Wednesday.

David Roberts, ESPN's senior vice president of production, said in a statement that the sides "mutually agreed that this approach regarding our NBA coverage was best for all concerned."

"Rachel is an excellent reporter, host and journalist, and we thank her for her many contributions to our NBA content."

The New York Times published a story about the derogatory comments Taylor. The Times leaked a recording from a conversation of 2020 in which Nicholas says choosing Taylor was a decision made out of the diversity efforts and found the "woke" culture to be overblown.

Nichols is still remain on ESPN for the time being but her contact is up in a year.
