Cissy Houston, mother of Whitney Houston passed away in hospice.
Whitney Houston's mother Cissy has passed away. She was the grandmother of Bobbi Kristina Brown.
Both Whitney and Bobbi Kristina have passed away.
Emily Drinkard (September 30, 1933 – October 7, 2024), known professionally as Cissy Houston, was an American soul and gospel singer.
Houston was a founding member of the R&B group The Sweet Inspirations, and sang backup for artists such as Roy Hamilton, Dionne Warwick, Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, and Chaka Khan. Houston embarked on a solo career in 1970, and won two Grammy Awards in the Traditional Gospel Album category.
“Our hearts are filled with pain and sadness. We loss the matriarch of our family,” Pat Houston said in a statement. She said her mother-in-law’s contributions to popular music and culture are “unparalleled.”
“Mother Cissy has been a strong and towering figure in our lives. A woman of deep faith and conviction, who cared greatly about family, ministry, and community. Her more than seven-decade career in music and entertainment will remain at the forefront of our hearts.”
Houston was in the well-known vocal group, the Sweet Inspirations, with Doris Troy and her niece Dee Dee Warrick. The group sang backup for a variety of soul singers including Otis Redding, Lou Rawls, The Drifters and Dionne Warwick.
The Sweet Inspirations appeared on Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl” and sang background vocals for The Jimi Hendrix Experience on the song “Burning of the Midnight Lamp” in 1967. In the same year, Houston worked on Franklin’s classic “Ain’t No Way.”
Houston’s last performance with the Sweet Inspirations came after the group hit the stage with Presley in a Las Vegas show in 1969. Her final recording session with the group turned into their biggest R&B hit “(Gotta Find) A Brand New Lover” a composition by the production team of Gamble & Huff, who appeared on the group’s fifth album, “Sweet Sweet Soul.”
During that time, the group occasionally performed live concert dates with Franklin. After the group’s success and four albums together, Houston left The Sweet Inspirations to pursue a solo career where she flourished.
Houston became an in-demand session singer and recorded more than 600 songs in multiple genres throughout her career. Her vocals can heard on tracks alongside a wide range of artists including Chaka Khan, Donny Hathaway, Jimi Hendrix, Luther Vandross, Beyoncé, Paul Simon, Roberta Flack and her daughter.
Whitney, Bobbi Kristina and Cissy are at peace.
In 1955, Houston married Freddie Garland and had a son, Gary Garland (born 1957), an NBA basketball player and DePaul University Athletic Hall of Famer.
In early 1958, when she was 24, Houston met John Russell Houston Jr. and embarked on a romance that led to the births of son Michael (born 1961), a songwriter and road manager, and daughter Whitney (1963–2012), who went on to be a world-renowned singer, actress, and entertainer. During the early years of the relationship, John was still married to his first wife, Elsie Hamilton. After Houston's first marriage ended in divorce in April 1964, Cissy and John married the following month. John Houston Jr. was a former Army veteran who served his country during World War II and was working as a taxi and truck driver when he met Cissy. He first entered the entertainment business managing his nieces-in-law's vocal group, the Gospelaires, in 1959. After his wife formed The Sweet Inspirations, he served as their manager until Cissy left the group in 1969 to start her solo career. After John survived a near-fatal heart attack in 1976, John and Cissy's marriage turned volatile and by 1977, they agreed to legally separate, though they remained married until 1991. Houston has six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.[failed verification]
In the late 1990s, when her daughter Whitney began to struggle with drug addiction, Cissy staged several interventions to get her into rehabilitation programs. On one occasion she obtained a court order and the assistance of two sheriffs to intervene, persuading Whitney to undertake treatment at Hope For Women Residential & Therapeutic Services in Atlanta, Georgia. In her 2013 book, Remembering Whitney: My Story of Love, Loss, and the Night the Music Stopped, Cissy described a scene she encountered during a visit to Whitney and then-husband Bobby Brown's home in 2005 where she saw the walls and door painted with big glaring eyes and strange faces. After having seen what she thought was several disturbing scenes, this led Cissy to return with law enforcement and perform an intervention. Whitney would attend recovery and rehabilitation programs.
On February 11, 2012, Whitney Houston died at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. After her daughter's death, Cissy expressed her distaste for the media's coverage of related events: "The media are awful. People have come from here and there, [and they] don't know what they're talking about," she said. "People I haven't seen in 20 years ... Here they come, [they] think they know everything, but that's not true. But God has His way of taking care of all of it, and I'm glad I know that."
Cissy Houston died at her home in Newark on October 7, 2024, at the age of 91. She had been in hospice care for Alzheimer's disease.
Cissy Houston in 2017.
In 1971, Houston’s signature vocals were featured on Burt Bacharach’s solo album, which includes “Mexican Divorce,” “All Kinds of People” and “One Less Bell to Answer.” She performed various standards including Barbra Streisand’s hit song, “Evergreen.”
Houston won Grammys for her albums “Face to Face” in 1997 and “He Leadeth Me” the following year in the best traditional soul gospel album category.
Houston authored three books: “He Leadeth Me,” “How Sweet The Sound: My Life with God and Gospel” and “Remembering Whitney: A Mother’s Story of Life, Loss and The Night The Music Stopped.”
In 1938, Cissy Houston started her career when she joined her sister Anne and brothers Larry and Nicky to form the gospel group, The Drinkard Four, who recorded one album. She attended New Hope Baptist Church, where she later become Minister of Sacred Music.
Some years ago, Republican Sen. Mike Braun of Indiana said he strongly believes that interracial marriage should be left up to the states and not the Supreme Court. His poor choice of words are coming back to haunt him.
Every member of the House and Senate has a handler from Israel watching over their votes. If they don't vote in favor of Israel, they will start launching attacks on that candidate.
Braun is a loose cannon.
Certainly Indiana is a Republican stronghold.
It is highly likely a Republican will win.
But do you really want this asshole governing the state?
The landmark decision Loving v. Virginia ruled that Americans should not be impeded on decisions involving romantic relationship, marriage and divorce.
Six points between Mike Braun and Jennifer McCormick.
It assured that any person is allowed to marry whomever they see fit.
It would take nearly 50 years before the Obergefell v. Hodges before the Court outlawed laws banning same sex marriage.
The senator is retiring. He running to be governor of Indiana.
Once regarded as a shoo-in for Braun, Democrats gained some hope in part by the party's shakeup this summer with Vice President Kamala Harris at the top of the ticket. The odds are still in Braun's favor, yet the leading candidate has gone negative in his advertising against Democratic nominee Jennifer McCormick this week, signaling a less-than-comfortable position. Democrats, however, haven't elected a Democratic governor in 24 years.
In a March 2022 Senate Judiciary Committee hearing for U.S. Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson, Braun said that the Supreme Court of the United States was wrong in its ruling in Loving v. Virginia that state interracial marriage bans were unconstitutional.
Jared Fogle and George Santos walked into a bar. Do I get the vibes about Mike Braun and his running mate Micah Beckwith?
Later that day, Braun put out a statement saying he had misunderstood the question and that there was "no question that the Constitution prohibits discrimination of any kind based on race. That is not something that is even up for debate."
Braun did vote to not certify the results of the 2020 election.
If he gets in, he will get a Republican supermajority to repeal laws and challenge election results of a free and fair election.
Braun voted against FEMA funding. Given the disasters of Hurricane Helene and the Hooiser state being right in the middle of Tornado Alley, it wasn't wise of the senator to vote against emergency aid. Cause Indiana could have a devastating tornado hit. Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Michigan City, South Bend, Evansville and Terre Haute could be impacted by a disaster.
One year of criminal acts by the Israeli regime and no end in sight.
I swear if I hear another lawmaker say Israel has a right to defend itself....
The world is tired of it and the talks of a ceasefire and two state solution are no longer on the table.
Its resistance or occupation.
The Hannibal Directive or an all out assault conducted by terrorists.
The one year mark of the illegal occupation's invasion of Gaza and the West Bank. When the resistance broke free of the fence, it exposed the ruthless Zionist occupiers and the treatment of Palestinians.
The Zionist wants you to believe that 1,200 people were killed by the resistance.
The occupiers killed over 100,000 people in their attempts to "free the hostages."
They want you to believe the resistance raped, tortured and murdered them in barbaric circumstances. But in reality, the occupiers have done this to the children, women, men and whistleblowers. The occupiers have killed doctors, humanitarian aid workers, journalists, peacekeepers and deserters.
The occupiers killed everyone in its goal to build a greater empire.
It was already on the radar since February 2023. The Zionists had planned for this to happen. They just needed a moment.
Saying Israel using human shields is antisemitic.
It exposed the hypocrisy of the West.
It became the stain on President Joe Biden's legacy. He gave an ungrateful country everything they wanted and it only made things worse.
Biden passed the torch to Vice President Kamala Harris and her legacy will follow Biden's if she wins or loses this 2024 election.
While I call it an invasion, the junk food media call it an operation.
The attack coincided with the Jewish religious holiday Simchat Torah. Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups named the attacks Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, while in Israel they are referred to as Black Sabbath or the Simchat Torah Massacre, and internationally as the 7 October attacks. The attacks initiated the ongoing Israel–Hamas war.
In total, 1,139 people were killed: 695 Israeli civilians (including 38 children), 71 foreign nationals, and 373 members of the security forces. 364 civilians were killed and many more wounded while attending the Nova music festival. At least 14 Israeli civilians were killed by the IDF's use of the Hannibal Directive. About 250 Israeli civilians and soldiers were taken as hostages to the Gaza Strip, alive or dead, and including 30 children, with the stated goal to force Israel to exchange them for imprisoned Palestinians, including women and children. Dozens of cases of rape and sexual assault reportedly occurred, but Hamas officials denied the involvement of their fighters.
Hamas vows to fight the occupiers. They have more support thanks to the Israeli regime's arrogance.
The governments of 44 countries denounced the attack and described it as terrorism, while some Arab and Muslim-majority countries blamed Israel's occupation of the Palestinian territories as the root cause of the attack. Hamas said its attack was in response to the continued Israeli occupation, the blockade of the Gaza Strip, the expansion of illegal Israeli settlements, rising Israeli settler violence, and recent escalations. The day was labeled the bloodiest in Israel's history and the "deadliest for Jews since the Holocaust" by many figures and media outlets in the West, including US president Joe Biden. Some have called the attack a genocidal massacre against Israelis.
During the conflict, the Israeli government and Israeli cyber companies have deployed AI tools and bot farms to spread disinformation and spread graphic, emotionally charged and false propaganda to dehumanize Palestinians, sow division among supporters of Palestine by targeting Black lawmakers, and exert pressure on politicians to support Israel's actions. The Intercept reported that: "At the center of Israel’s information warfare campaign is a tactical mission to dehumanize Palestinians and to flood the public discourse with a stream of false, unsubstantiated, and unverifiable allegations." One such covert campaign was commissioned by Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs. The ministry allocated about $2 million to the operation, and used political marketing firm Stoic based in Tel Aviv to carry it out, according officials and documents reviewed by the New York Times.
The campaign was started after the October 7 attack, and remained active on X (formerly Twitter) at the time of the New York Times report in June 2024. At the peak of the campaign it used hundreds of fake accounts posing as Americans on X, Facebook and Instagram to post pro-Israel comments, focusing on U.S. lawmakers, particularly those who are Black and from the Democratic Party, including Hakeem Jeffries, the House minority leader from New York, and Raphael Warnock, Senator from Georgia. ChatGPT was deployed to generate many of the posts. The campaign also involved the creation of three fake English-language news sites featuring pro-Israel articles.
The alliance of chaos.
To support the Democrats is supporting chaos, global conflicts, promises never kept, constant gaslighting and staunch loyalty to a foreign country literally meddling in our elections.
To support the Republicans is chaos, civil wars, gun violence, global conflicts, loss of freedoms, censorship only when it opposes their agenda, constant gaslighting, constant grievances, racism, religious extremism, intolerance of facts, bullying and staunch loyalty to a foreign country literally meddling in our elections.
President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, former president Donald J. Trump, Minnesota governor Tim Walz, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Nicole Shanahan, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), members of Congress and the junk food media:
Why do you support rapists?
The "special relationship" must end. The U.S. must cut its ties with the evil apartheid ethnostate of Israel.
Israeli leaders are defending the military in its war crimes and the several who raped, tortured and murdered people held in their death camps.
Brazilian cartoonist Carlos Latuff has supported Palestine since 2006.
My taxpayer money is funding a Jewish supremacist ethnostate pretending to be a victim while acting like a goddamn bully and a damn rapist. A country that literally bans Christians, Muslims, Sihks, Buddhists and other religions from associating. A country that bans interracial marriage. A country that forbids Jews from marrying other religions. A country that murders migrants entering its soverignty. Those who are not white are subjected to second class standards let alone you live in the Gaza Strip or West Bank.
They allow European, British, Canadian, American and Australian citizens who are Jewish automatic Israeli citizenship and stolen land to occupy.
They literally shoot children and women who are near their razor wire fencing. They urinate and throw debris on those living in the West Bank. They cruelly mock Gazans starving and subject to deadly diseases.
They control the water, electric, internet and agriculture of Gaza and the West Bank.
Israel has been active in pushing propaganda online.
Acts of resistance, boycotting and pleading to world leaders who aren't the U.S. and Great Britain are often called out as antisemitics, terrorists, useful idiots, chaos agents, Trump supporters, Biden supporters, Harris supporters, tankies, anti-American and other colonialist rhetoric.

Nancy Mace (R-SC) and all the folks who wave 🇮🇱 along with the 🇺🇸🇺🇦🇬🇧 in their social media profiles, got a question:
Are you gonna condemn rape conducted by the Israeli military or pretend it doesn't happen?
The Devil and Mr. President.
What y'all gonna do? You already claim it's all a damn conspiracy and we are just antisemitic or anti-Israel?
How many Americans are gonna lose their jobs, their platforms or their companies because of the ADL screaming antisemitism at every person who opposes Israel?
How much money will the AIPAC pour into the 2024 election to elect Israeli/Zionist loyalists like Wesley Bell and George Latimer?
How many more UN workers, World Central Kitchen and Red Cross or Red Crescent aid worker are killed without any consequences? I mean the U.S. continues to allow Israel to investigate itself for the actions and still no accountability or punishment.
The most moral military in the world inside a Gaza home mocking the dead.
Israel is a threat to the world and stability of peace.
Let me get this straight: You are more upset over words than actions. You are upset someone using their freedom of speech to criticize a foreign country engaged in a propaganda campaign to shield itself from war crimes and impunity. You are upset over people using their voices, their wallets and their time to protest an injustice. Well, get upset over your taxpayer money aiding foreign nations. You upset other countries deciding to ban or boycott Israel for its actions. Get upset over foreign nations killing Americans in a war funded by our taxpayer money. Get upset over the deaths of thousands in Haiti, Chad, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Syria, Venezuela, Myanmar, Mexico, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Ukraine and Palestine. Get upset at your president, your senator, your representative, your governor, your state leader, your mayor and your local junk food media for bowing to the evil regime of Israel.
Could you name one damn thing Israel's done for the United States?
Cause sure as hell, Israel is spying on Americans, meddling in our elections, doing foreign lobbying with the assistance of AIPAC and the ADL.
We are almost there.
The Israeli government through its proxies are trying to sway American lawmakers into criminalizing criticism of its actions to antisemitism.
Israel's latest excuses to justify the genocide:
They claimed that Hamas wants to kill as many Jews as possible.
They claim that Hamas has underground tunnels under schools, hospitals and refugee camps.
They claim that Hamas was planning on building a dirty bomb.
They claim that Hamas are using civilians as human shields.
They claim that Hamas is ISIS.
They claim that Hamas had a copy of Mein Kampf inside a base in a children's bedroom.
They claim that Hamas was beheading 40 babies.
They claim that Hamas misfired a rocket at a hospital.
They claim that Hamas wants a regional war.
They claim that Hamas had top secret plans to attack the U.S. and Great Britain.
They claim that Hamas has a calendar that showed the shifts of who was watching the hostages.
They claim that Hamas shot female soliders in the pelvis, buttocks and breasts.
They claim that Hamas shot dead a civilian and raped the victim's corpse,
They claim that Hamas has placed explosive devices on corpses.
They claim that Hamas has infiltrated college campuses in the U.S. and Great Britain.
They claim that Hamas support from individuals amounts to being a terrorist sympathizer.
They claim that Hamas were working with UNRWA workers.
They claim that Hamas has been hiding in plain sight.
Hamas is not raping women and there is no proof they done such a horrible act. It is part of the dehumanizing campaign Israel is promoting to influencers in the West. You see it when they are constantly deflecting from the images of Gaza being destroyed by American and European sponsored Israeli weapons. In their minds, they are justifying the brutal slaughter of children, men, women, journalists and doctors as collateral damage.
Israel has raped, pillaged and tortured Palestinians. It is confirmed but the United States won't do not one damn thing about it.
Hamas stated the reasons for the attack on occupation forces. It has nothing to do with the Jewish religion or Iran.
The IDF has the weapons to destroy everything. All on the American taxpayer, Israel has killed civilians, their own citizens and the American status quo.
Keep pressure on them with Israel.
The Congress has less work than most Americans. It is infuriating that the average worker works more 50 hours a week while 435 House members, 6 non voting House delegates and 100 senators work on average of 25 hours a week.
Holding these lawmakers accountable is not just a pledge, but a promise. You need to learn who represents your community. Your local community member, your school board member, your mayor, your state representative, your state senator, your governor, your U.S. Representative, your U.S. Senator and the president need to be held accountable for their actions.
We need to put pressure on Republicans and Democrats to do something to improve everyone's lives.
Israel must be held accountable for war crimes and the U.S. must end its aid. Our taxpayer money should not help Israel any further.
They are feeling it. Democrats know the risk of supporters being turned off by their policies. They know that Biden is under extreme pressure to do something. Arab Americans, Muslim and young voters have vowed to never back Biden. In turn it puts the Harris-Walz ticket election chances in danger.
Joe Biden will be the last U.S. president to back Israel. The next president will be forced to cut ties with the ethnostate.
The call number to the White House and U.S. Capitol is now going to be used. This is the official White House numbers 202-456-1111 and 202-456-1414. This is the Congress official phone number, 202-224-3121. Please be respectful to operators, staff members and elected leaders. Your calls are monitored by the U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Capitol Police.
Let them know that "thoughts and prayers," "hearts going to" and "good guys with guns" are no longer acceptable and you want legislation to curb gun violence. Let them know that we are tired of police officers using immunity when committing death of suspects in custody. Let them know that you are tired of private equity firms getting away with destroying small businesses and long established companies. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel. You are tired of hearing about "Israel having a right to..." and the bogus claims of being anti-semitic or in support of terrorism.
We have bigger issues at home and our tax dollars should solve the housing crisis, lowering food prices, fixing roads, bridges, helping reinvest in struggling urban and rural communities. We have hospitals closing, big box retailers leaving communities and television programs dying.
A damn hurricane destroyed cities, towns and villages.
There are far bigger issues in the country than Israel. You want an immediate ceasefire and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and lawmakers avoid influence from lobbyists.
Former Las Vegas councilwoman Michele Fiore is a convicted felon. Her rise and fall was due to her need to look pretty for the cameras, pose with firearms and fight for MAGA.
Michele Fiore was known back in 2014 when she supported far right extremists Cliven Bundy and Ammon Bundy in their standoff against federal agents from the Bureau of Land Management in Nevada.
She openly called for an armed resistance against BLM and urged others to join.
Fiore, a former Las Vegas city councilwoman and state lawmaker, was convicted of six counts of federal wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, KLAS-TV in Las Vegas reported. The weeklong trial in U.S. District Court in Nevada began last week.
Each count carries a possible penalty of 20 years in prison. Fiore, who has been suspended without pay from her current elected position as a justice of the peace in rural Pahrump, Nevada, will be sentenced Jan. 6. She will remain free while she awaits sentencing.
Her attorney, Michael Sanft, said Fiore will appeal the conviction.
Federal prosecutors said at trial that Fiore had raised more than $70,000 for the statue of a Las Vegas police officer shot and killed in 2014 in the line of duty, but instead spent the money on plastic surgery, rent and her daughter’s wedding.
“Michele Fiore used a tragedy to line her pockets,” federal prosecutor Dahoud Askar said.
FBI agents in 2021 subpoenaed records and searched Fiore’s home in northwest Las Vegas in connection with her campaign spending. Sanft told the jury that the FBI’s investigation was “sloppy.”
Fiore, who does not have a law degree, was appointed as a judge in deep-red Nye County in 2022 shortly after she lost her campaign for state treasurer. She was elected in June to complete the unexpired term of a judge who died. Pahrump is an hour’s drive west of Las Vegas.
The infamous photo of Fiore, her mother, her daughters, their husbands and grandchild posing with firearms.
The 54-year-old served in the state Legislature from 2012 to 2016, making headlines posing with guns and her family for Christmas cards. She was a Las Vegas councilwoman from 2017 to 2022.
I remember Chris Hayes caught her off guard. Fiore was flaunting her busty body and it caught notice.
Fiore is perhaps known for dressing attractive while bolstering firearms.
She also said some racist things about former president Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Vice President Kamala Harris and George Floyd.
Other MAGAland Milfs include Jenna Ryan, the convicted Texas realtor who participated in the Jan. 6 insurrection.
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) who once owned a restaurant and wore a pistol on her hip. She also is a carpetbagger and controversial do nothing. One of the many insufferable members who face a tougher challenger. Even though she moved to another district, her opponent is well funded and is hoping for an upset.
Elon Musk, Scott Presler, J.D. Vance, Eric Trump and Lara Trump are creepy.
Donald J. Trump is the most creepiest of them all. His return to Butler, Pennsylvania was less about Corey Comperatore and more of the same chaos.
Scott Presler is a far right extremist. He was fired from the Virginia GOP over allegations he was taking a bottom role inside the Virginia Beach location.
Presler allegedly made a gay porn inside the offices and placed it on Craiglist.
He was an attendee at the Jan. 6 attack but the feds have no confirmation he was inside the U.S. Capitol.
Lara Trump hired him to do Republican outreach to young voters despite his past history with sexual harassment and predatory behavior.
Trump spent over 90 minutes rehashing the same old playbook of dehumanizing immigrants, misinformation about FEMA's role in handling Hurricane Helene, claiming everything is done by Vice President Kamala Harris instead of President Joe Biden and complaining about the junk food media.
I listened to it.
Sigh.
Elon Musk stole the show. The semi-autistic billionaire con artist owns X, SpaceX, Tesla, part of PayPal and The Boring Company embarrassed himself and Trump during his campaign appearance. He jumped on stage, and his grotesque belly showed out and he labeled himself, "Dark MAGA" to knock the "Dark Brandon" memes about Biden.
The Three Stooges.
The "Let's Go Brandon" memes are old. Weird. Played out.
Hunter Biden, Tara Reade, cognitive decline, Sleepy Joe and the need to be obsessed with age are over.
Trump is the oldest candidate running and it is clearly showing.
Trump and Musk are sexual predators and they should be in the same situation as Harvey Weinstein, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Robert Sylvester Kelly and Danny Masterson.
Musk cast the upcoming presidential election in dire terms during an appearance with Donald Trump, calling the Republican presidential nominee the only candidate “to preserve democracy in America.”
The CEO of SpaceX and Tesla who also purchased X, Musk joined Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday at the site where the former president survived an assassination attempt in July. Musk said “this will be the last election” if Trump doesn’t win. Wearing a cap with the “Make America Great Again” slogan of Trump’s campaign, Musk appeared to acknowledge the foreboding nature of his remarks.
RNC deputy chair Lara Trump hired Scott Presler. The far right gay extremist was caught in lewd acts while working for the Virginia GOP.
“As you can see I am not just MAGA — I am Dark MAGA,” he said.
It was the first time that Musk joined one of Trump’s rallies and was evidence of their growing alliance in the final stretch of the presidential election. Musk created a super political action committee supporting the Republican nominee and it has been spending heavily on get-out-the-vote efforts. Trump has said he would tap Musk to lead a government efficiency commission if he regains the White House.
Trump joined Musk in August for a rare public conversation on X, a friendly chat that spanned more than two hours. In it, the former president largely focused on the July assassination attempt, illegal immigration and his plans to cut government regulations.
Before a large crowd Saturday, Musk sought to portray Trump as a champion of free speech, arguing that Democrats want “to take away your freedom of speech, they want to take away your right to bear arms, they want to take away your right to vote, effectively.” Musk went on to criticize a California effort to ban voter ID requirements.
The event took place at the same property where a gunman’s bullets grazed Trump’s right ear and killed a Trump supporter, Corey Comperatore. The shooting left multiple others injured.
Pollsters got it wrong before. They are giving Democrats false hope. I think Texas is too hard for Democrats. The race between an incumbent Republican senator and his Democratic challenger is competitive. I have the race as Likely Republican.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is likely to beat Rep. Collin Allred (D-TX) but it will be a race to watch. I got a feeling if Texans are reminded of Cruz bolting for Cancun when the state had the 2021 winter storm and power grid failure, Cruz is toast.
Cruz is a do nothing senator who spent two terms whining about the U.S.-Mexican border but offered no real solutions and policies.
Several Texas Republicans are abandoning Cruz.
Cruz's loyalty to former president Donald J. Trump, his endless appearances on Sean "Softball" Hannity's shitshow and never being in the state has made the controversial senator a prime target if Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) or Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) fall to their Republican challengers.
Allred secured the endorsements of former lawmakers Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois. Cheney vowed to stomp MAGAland out and she has backed Republican and Democratic candidates who aren't embracing Trump.
Even Allred, a former NFL player turned lawmaker got the endorsement of former Ohio congressman Anthony Gonzales, a former NFL player also.
Cruz is notorious for gaslighting and going off at reporters when given tough questions.
Third down near the red zone. Colin Allred is hoping for a senate victory. It will be a real touchdown.
Both Allred and Cruz back Israel and it appears that the backers of AIPAC are undecided on who they will ruin in October.
The family of Trevor Reed endorsed Allred. They said that Cruz had let them down when they pleaded to him to get then president Donald J. Trump to push Russian Federation president Vladimir Putin to release their son.
Joey Reed said his endorsement of Colin Allred over Ted Cruz for U.S. Senate was an easy decision for him to make. When he and his family needed help in 2019 to get their son Trevor released from Russia, Reed said Senator Cruz was the first person they called, but that he didn't help them at all.
The mass shootings at Sutherland Springs, Dallas, El Paso and Uvalde having moved the needle with Cruz on gun violence. In fact, he doubled down and calls President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris gun grabbers.
This iconic photo of Cruz returning to Houston after being shamed.
He trolls about crime in other communities other than Texas.
Cruz also supports police when they commit acts of inhumanity on people.
Since he was elected in 2012, he was part of the Stallimigos. He along with Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) became headaches to then president Barack Obama and now President Joe Biden. Cruz, Rubio and Paul ran for president in 2015. Scott ran for president in 2023.
Cruz's old running mate Carly Fiorina endorsed Kamala Harris.
It is important to vote. If you vote, you can make a difference.
The economy, women rights, immigration, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, voter rights and democracy are on the line.
Trump and Elon Musk go to Butler, Pennsylvania for the honor service of dead MAGAland attendee.
Former president Donald J. Trump returns to Butler, Pennsylvania. It was the site of a mass shooting and an attempted assassination on the Republican nominee.
Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) is there. Elon Musk will be there along with the Republican senate nominee David McCormick, Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA), several Republican U.S. members and state officials, Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) (once again outside her district) and a surprise guest or two.
In July, Trump was doing his usual gripes and within seconds, sounds of gunfire.
Apparently Trump was struck in the ear and the U.S. Secret Service quickly rushed the stage and protected him. Trump defiantly raised his fist and made a moment in American history.
The shooting killed a Pennsylvania man and seriously injured two including Trump. The shooter Thomas Crooks, 20 was quickly taken out by the Secret Service Tactical Units.
The incident is regarded as the most significant security failure by the Secret Service since the attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan in 1981. The director of the Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, faced bipartisan calls for her resignation when she testified before the United States House Committee on Oversight and Accountability on July 22; she stepped down the following day. President Joe Biden ordered an independent review of the security arrangements, condemned the violence, and called for a reduction in heated political rhetoric, emphasizing the importance of resolving political differences peacefully. Misinformation and conspiracy theories spread on social media after the shooting. Lawmakers called for increased security for major candidates in the election, and the Secret Service subsequently approved enhanced security measures, including the use of bulletproof glass at Trump's outdoor rallies.
Trump briefly called for unity but quickly pivoted to his rhetoric which calls for violence against Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president. Trump has said it would be a "bloodbath" if he believes his loss is contributed to "antics."
Corey Comperatore complained about DEI in social media posts. A bullet did not care about his gripes. It saw him as a target. DEI won't hurt him anymore.
Then in September, a man managed to sneak into Trump International Golf Course and was spotting a target when the Secret Service identified him. He fled but was caught and is facing a federal sandwich.
Trump is overwhelming the U.S. Secret Service. His wife, former first lady Melania Trump isn't on the campaign trail but has protection. His youngest son Barron is in college has protection. The siblings Ivanka Kushner (husband Jared), Eric Trump (wife Lara), Tiffany Boulos (husband Michael) and Donald Trump, Jr. (ex-wife Vanessa) have protection.
Also Ohio senator J.D. Vance (wife Usha) have protection.
Minnesota governor Tim Walz (wife Gwen) have protection.
President Joe Biden (First Lady Dr. Jill Biden)and Vice President Kamala Harris (Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff) have the most protection because they are the incumbent leaders.
Former presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton (wife Hillary), George W. Bush (wife Laura) and Barack Obama (wife Michelle) have protection.
The Secret Service had warned Trump in the past to not have huge rallies because it leaves open areas.
As usual, he ignores their request to limit attendees because he loves to brag about large crowds.
Trump and his MAGAland allies sell this image for a profit. Pathetic. Use a tragedy for financial gains.
Trump returns to finish his rally, make another play for Pennsylvania and of course attack Harris, Democrats, the junk food media and immigrants.
He will also pay tribute to Corey Comperatore, the far right bigot who was killed in the stands.
The Gaurdian has an audio of Trump talking to donors. He was joking about how his wife rejected a check for $1 million. She told the former president that she would be better with her husband by her side than money.
In a recording from the Aug. 10 dinner event in Aspen, Colorado, the former president purportedly said: “So they’re going to get millions of dollars but the woman, the wife, this beautiful woman, I handed her the cheque – we handed her the cheque – and she said, ‘This is so nice, and I appreciate it, but I’d much rather have my husband.’ Now, I know some of the women in this room wouldn’t say the same.”
He reportedly added: “I know at least four couples. ... At least four couples here would have been thrilled, actually.”
Germophobe Trump kissed the uniform of slain bigot at the Republican convention.
The remarks came as Trump was recalling how members of his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida gave him a $1 million check for Comperatore’s family, which includes widow Helen Comperatore. He also referred to a GoFundMe drive that raised millions of dollars for those injured or killed in Butler as Trump was holding a rally.
In late July, the former president had made a similar joke related to the Comperatore family during a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, campaign event.
Trump on Corey Comperatore's widow: "Corey's wife said, 'I'd rather have my husband.' Isn't that good? I know a lot of wives that would not say that, I'm sorry." (Crowd laughs)
The Guardian also reported that in the August recording, Trump was heard swearing while claiming that a group of “murderers” came to the U.S. after being released from prison in a foreign country.
Comperatore was shot and killed as he tried to protect his family during the July incident, while a gunman’s bullet bloodied Trump’s ear.
Trump went on to kiss the helmet of the former Buffalo Township fire chief while on stage at the Republican National Committee later that month.
WWE Hall of Fame member and Knox County, Tennessee mayor Glenn "Kane" Jacobs denounces MAGAland's conspiracy theories.
October Surprise.
Many Americans are homeless because of the hurricane. The Supreme Court made being homeless illegal now. The Supreme Court also rollback regulations on greenhouse gases and federal agencies enforcements.
A lot of Republicans are blaming the president and Democratic presidential nominee for the gridlock in getting aid to victims of this hurricane.
I am reminded that Republicans in the House wanted to shut down the government and wanted to impact the election.
Republican mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, Glenn Jacobs slams far right and their endless stupidity and guilibiness to conspiracy theories.
Jacobs is best known as retired WWE star Kane. He along with Knoxville mayor Indya Kincannon have come together to urge federal and state authorities to help East Tennessee.
Early Friday morning, Jacobs took to social media to dispel the rumors and asked people to help instead of posting misinformation.
“Two things,” Jacobs wrote. “1) To my knowledge, FEMA, TEMA, nor anyone else is confiscating supplies. Please quit spreading those rumors as they are counterproductive to response efforts. 2) If everyone could maybe please put aside the hate for a bit and pitch in to help, that would be great.”
The aftermath of Hurricane Helene has cost the lives of over 1,000 and it has an impact of damages totaling over $4 billion. Approximately 2.8 million Americans could be financially displaced.
Conspiracy theories are floating.
In the aftermath, the far right claimed that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris refuse to give aid because the states favor Trump.
Russia, Israel, MAGAland and Trump amplify artificial intelligence propaganda.
Then they claimed FEMA is confiscating supplies.
They claimed that the North Carolina State Police are arresting federal officials who are interfering in the search and rescue (i.e. recovery).
The latest claims is that the ILA strike ended because Trump got the union and employers back to the table. The longshoreman and dockers strike would have impacted the efforts to deliver goods and supplies to areas affected by Helene.

The far right claims that migrants are getting FEMA funds. They claim that FEMA is only handing out $750 to survivors.
The falsehoods started quickly and came from the top. Former president Donald J. Trump, freshly landed in Georgia on Monday to see the storm’s devastation, claimed that the state’s governor, Brian Kemp, had not been able to reach President Joe Biden to talk about disaster aid. Kemp had already said earlier in the day that he’d spoken to the president, who offered any help the state needed and said to call him directly.
Elon Musk, the owner of X and key Trump ally, claimed Fema was blocking flights trying to aid the area, calling it “belligerent government incompetence”. The transportation secretary, Pete Buttigieg, responded: “No one is shutting down the airspace and FAA doesn’t block legitimate rescue and recovery flights. If you’re encountering a problem give me a call.”
Liz Cheney said the time is now. She said she rather have Kamala Harris as president than another term of Donald J. Trump.
Republicans claim the endorsements of former Democratic congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
The two proved to be a liability instead of an asset.
Democrats claim the endorsements of former Republican lawmakers Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney. They said that former president Donald J. Trump is an essential threat to democracy. They said that the Republican Party must abandon MAGAland before it's too late.
On Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris made a visit to sacred land.
Little White Schoolhouse in Ripon, Wisconsin was the place where Liz Cheney gave her full support to Harris.
Harris rallied with Cheney in the birthplace of the modern Republican Party on Thursday as the pair delivered a double-barreled denunciation of GOP nominee Donald Trump as a dire threat to democracy.
With some people hoisting signs “Country over Party,” Harris told the crowd that “people of every party must stand together” to reject Trump, citing his refusal to accept the results of the 2020 election and his failure to quell the insurrection of Jan. 6, 2021.
It was an improbable moment — a Democratic nominee giving a nod to a rival party member and to the origins of the opposing party in the closing weeks of a presidential campaign — and it demonstrated how much Harris is attempting to win over moderate and crossover Republican voters.
Harris said of Trump, “He refused to accept the will of the people and to accept the results of an election that was free and fair.”
“The president of the United States must not look at our country through the narrow lens of ideology or party partisanship or self-interest,” she added. “Our nation is not some spoil to be won. The United States of America is the greatest idea humanity ever devised.”
Cheney is one of Trump’s most ardent antagonists. She is the daughter of former Republican Vice President Dick Cheney and was the top GOP lawmaker on the House committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection, earning Trump’s disdain and effectively exiling herself from her own party.
“Violence does not and must never determine who rules us. Voters do,” Cheney told the crowd as she recounted Trump refusing to act as he watched the violent attack on television. Someone in the crowd yelled “coward!” Others booed.
Adding to the surreal nature of the event, the crowd cheered references to Dick Cheney and to another Republican former vice president: Mike Pence, who refused to bow to pressure from Trump and attempt to stop the certification in Congress of Biden’s 2020 victory.
“He praised the rioters. He did not condemn them. That’s who Donald Trump is,” Liz Cheney said, while urging the crowd to “meet this moment. I ask you to stand in truth. To reject the depraved cruelty of Donald Trump.”
In an interview Thursday night with Fox News Channel, Trump said of Harris and Cheney: “I think they hurt each other. I think they’re so bad, both of them.”
Cheney lost her Wyoming seat to a Trump-endorsed candidate two years ago and endorsed Harris, the Democratic nominee, last month. The two women appeared together in Ripon, home to a white schoolhouse where a series of meetings held in 1854 to oppose slavery’s expansion led to the start of the Republican Party.
“I know that she loves our country, and I know she will be a president for all Americans,” Cheney said of Harris. Noting that she herself remains conservative, Cheney said she was “honored to join her in this urgent cause.”
Harris is on a two-day Wisconsin and Michigan swing, while Trump was in Michigan on Thursday as both candidates grapple for wins in the “blue wall” battleground states, which also include Pennsylvania.
While Cheney and Harris spoke, the former president took his social media site to say Democrats and prosecutors have lied about the “huge crowd of Patriots gathered in Washington, D.C. on January 6th.”
That was a far cry from President Joe Biden’s reaction. Arriving back at the White House after touring damage from Hurricane Helene in Georgia and Florida, Biden said of Cheney: “She made one of the most consequential speeches I’ve ever heard. She has character.”
“I know her dad,” Biden added. “We argue like hell, but I always admired his courage and honesty. What she did not took only political courage, but physical courage.”
Harris’ visit to Wisconsin came a day after a federal judge unsealed a 165-page court filing outlining prosecutors’ case against Trump for his attempt to overturn his 2020 election defeat. Trump has pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy and obstruction.
Trump didn’t mention the document filed by special counsel Jack Smith or Cheney’s appearance with Harris during an 82-minute speech at a rally in Saginaw County, Michigan. In 2020, Biden won the bellwether county by a slim 303 votes, contributing to his victory in the state.
As Trump spoke, his campaign announced he’ll appear in Georgia on Friday with Republican Gov. Brian Kemp. The two men have made peace after Trump in August unleashed a blistering attack on Kemp, whom he has faulted for not giving in to his efforts to overturn his loss in 2020.
During the 2020 campaign, Cheney criticized Harris as “a radical liberal” who “wants to recreate America in the image of what’s happening on the streets of Portland & Seattle,” a reference to unrest that took place in those cities after the murder of George Floyd.
But Jan. 6 was a turning point for Liz Cheney and her family. Both Cheneys are backing Harris, part of a cadre of current and former Republican officials who have broken with the vast majority of their party, which remains in Trump’s corner. Harris wants to portray her candidacy as a patriotic choice for independent and conservative voters who were disturbed by Trump’s unwillingness to cede power. Trump continues to deny his defeat with false claims of voter fraud.
Harris on Thursday also was endorsed by Cassidy Hutchinson, who was a young White House aide during Trump’s presidency and described during a hearing of Cheney’s Jan. 6 congressional committee how she grew disgusted by Trump’s refusal to stop the rioters that day. Harris’ campaign also began airing ads targeting Republicans, independents and former Trump voters in battleground states.
Cheney’s presence prompted some dissonance for Harris supporters in the Ripon audience, especially those who remember her father’s role as a Republican headliner.
Victor Romero, 46, said it was “a little weird” to be at an event with her.
“I still don’t like Liz Cheney’s politics,” he said. “But I’m glad that she understands the Republican Party that currently exists is just for Trump.”
Younger voters, though, reported knowing Cheney primarily for standing up to Trump.
George Santos is smiling today. Two of the Republicans members of the House who ousted him are in controversy.
Rep. Anthony D'Esposito (R-NY) had an affair and placed his mistress on the staffing payroll. His ties to New York City mayor, Democrat Eric Adams has him on the feds radar.
Now the writer of the bill to criminalize criticism of Israel is under fire for what Megyn Kelly said was not a big deal. He also admits he had a creepy obsession with Michael Jackson.
He once taunted an accuser who said Jackson molested him at his Neverland Ranch.
Jackson passed away in 2009.
Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY), 38, wrote a bill to criminalize free speech. He is a staunch supporter of Israel and has been at the forefront of drafting bills to strip funding from colleges and universities that don't combat antisemitism. The protest movement to boycott, divest and sanction against Israel have picked up steam and lawmakers as well as their AIPAC handlers want to crush it.
Lawler with Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ), Rep. Max Miller (R-OH), Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) and Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) wrote this bill and it passed.
It awaits a senate vote once the lame duck session begins after the elections.
Lawler and D'Esposito are in districts that went to Joe Biden in 2020. They are both endangered this election.
Lawler said he was sorry Thursday after the New York Times obtained photos of him wearing blackface about two decades ago at a college Halloween costume party where he dressed as Michael Jackson.
The images emerged as Lawler, a first-term Republican, is locked in a competitive reelection fight for his congressional seat in New York’s Hudson Valley.
In a statement provided to The Associated Press, Lawler described himself as a lifelong Jackson superfan who was attempting to pay homage to the pop star.
“When attempting to imitate Michael’s legendary dance moves at a college Halloween party eighteen years ago, the ugly practice of black face was the furthest thing from my mind. Let me be clear, this is not that,” he said, adding that the costume was intended as “a genuine homage to one of my childhood idols.”
“I am a student of history and for anyone who takes offense to the photo, I am sorry,” Lawler said. “All you can do is live and learn, and I appreciate everyone’s grace along the way.”
The Times reported that the photo was taken in 2006 when Lawler was 20. In an image posted by the newspaper, Lawler can be seen wearing a red jacket and posing with an outstretched arm in one of Jackson’s signature dance moves. He used bronzer to darken his face.
The congressman has been a well-documented Jackson devotee.
Lawler in the fryer.
Last year, The Daily Beast reported on Lawler’s Jackson obsession. A biography of the pop icon, “Michael Jackson: The Magic, The Madness, The Whole Story” told of how Lawler, at age 18, flew from New York to California to attend Jackson’s criminal trial after the musician was charged with molesting a child. In the biographer’s account, Lawler was “so disgusted” with some of the testimony “that he couldn’t help but mutter something derogatory under his breath” and was thrown out of the courtroom.
In his statement Thursday, Lawler said “one of my greatest memories” was attending a Jackson concert at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Lawler is in a tough race against Democratic former U.S. Rep. Mondaire Jones, who is Black. Lawler won office in 2022 and has since become a mainstay on cable news shows.
Blackface minstrelsy took hold in New York City in the 1830s and became popular among post-Civil War whites, though it was regarded as offensive to Black people from the beginning of its use.
A smooth criminal.
Several politicians and celebrities have been criticized for wearing blackface.
Jones and Lawler are AIPAC. Jones served one term as a House member.
He is a Black gay supporter of Israel like Torres.
The handlers always have something on members. Blackface, sex scandals, corruption and racism are always hiding in the playbook of Israel.
The Israeli government spies on Americans. AIPAC and the ADL have done the work on behalf of Israel. Lawler couldn't get the antisemitism bill passed into law. So they gave him an October Surprise so his rival can use it as a way to boot him put of Congress.
Santos was in drag while he was living in Brazil. Kari Lake, the Arizona Republican U.S. senate nominee and former gubernatorial nominee dressed in drag too.
