Thank Gov. Karen Abbott for such weak laws involving guns. See if the shooter gets a good lawyer and says that he was victim of bullying and he followed all the state's "stand your ground" law, he could walk.

Since Texas is an open carry state and it appears the terrorist who shot four in an Arlington high school, he might get a slap on the wrist and also a lawsuit from the victims. The shooter did not intent on shooting the teacher or a student. He was going after the bully. He was released on a $75,000 get out free card.

It appears that social media unearthed a video of the shooter being pummeled one of the shooting victims.

The shooter was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to KDFW, which obtained the mugshot of the suspect.

He turned himself Wednesday afternoon after officials launched a manhunt for the Timberview High School student accused of firing a .45 caliber gun during a fight with another student.

A 15-year-old boy remained in critical condition after being shot, police said. A 25-year-old man who was also shot was in good condition, along with a teenage girl who was not struck by gunfire, according to cops.

A pregnant teacher was injured after she fell during the incident, but was not hospitalized, officials said.

The school had no metal detectors. The state is open carry in all public buildings.

Fifth school shooting in a week.

The video surface shooting the shooter served a hot plate of knuckle style chili. The attack caught on film goes dark after the shooter goes for his backpack and pulls out his firearm and starts shooting. The teacher who tried to break up the fight was shot in the back. 

The bully was shot seven times.

It never happens in your community....... Until it does! Every community in the United States will eventually have a legacy. A legacy of tragedy. Gun violence and COVID-19 will affect your town, your family and your life. So I don't want to hear that bullshit about how this gun reform is taking away your rights. I don't want to hear that protesting against police killing people of color is hate on cops in general. I don't want to hear talk about the coronavirus being a myth. I don't want hear folks say this is not white privilege. I don't want to hear folks say masks impede their freedoms. I don't want to hear the shit about guns saving lives. These incidents are a tragic part of American history.

We haven't forgotten about the many mass shootings in the United States. COVID-19 doesn't stop individuals from picking up firearms and killing others.

And I am getting fucking tired of white nationalists and their enablers of color complaining about the lack of Black fathers. The fathers are either killed by gun violence, police violence, COVID-19, heart diseases, diabetes, freak accidents and just being Black in America.

The website Officer Down is a memorial to those who were killed in the line of duty. Those who don't get their names mentioned in the junk food media. Also the website the National Gun Violence Memorial also keeps record of the many individuals killed by gun violence.

Hints that the progressive agitator is retiring. On tonight's The Rachel Maddow Show, the host announced that she has skin cancer and her doctors found it before it would have gotten worse. She reveals it on tonight's show.

She announced her doctor had found a cancerous mole on her skin and she had to get it immediately removed before it would have been untreatable.

Only last year, Maddow tearfully announced that her longtime partner Susan Mikula had a near fatal bout with COVID-19. Susan had recovered but she has not been the same.

Now Maddow revealed that she had treatment for cancer. 

“There’s a lot of different kinds of skin cancer, but even the worst ones are eminently more treatable than they used to be, and if you get them early, they’re almost all treatable,” she said.

Maddow disclosed that she had surgery at NYU-Langone Hospital on Friday to remove the cancerous mole, saying “they [NYU-Langone staff] are fantastic, they got all of it,” adding, “I’m good … I am going to be absolutely fine, I am totally fine.”

The network’s most popular personality then instructed her viewers to get checked, a PSA of sorts. “If you’ve got moles like I do, just get on a schedule with your doctor. Schedule a check now with your doctor, and then when your doctor tells you ‘you’re fine, but you should do this every year,’ put it in the calendar in your phone for a year from now, and then actually come back and do that follow-up appointment … it very well might save your life.”

MSNBC is trying to keep Maddow on. She is either tied with Sean "Softball" Hannity or leading in the key demographics. She is catching up to the annoying agitator in ratings overall. The softball gains 3.5 million viewers. Maddow gains 2.9 million viewers. Chris Cuomo runs around 2.4 million viewers.

Maddow has hinting retiring or stepping to a contributor role at MSNBC. As she is preparing to take care of Susan and her own health, the possibility of the most popular media personality leaving the network is likely. 

Who will replace her?

The possible replacements are Nicolle Wallace, Ali Velshi, Tiffany Cross, Shepard Smith, Brian Williams and Craig Melvin. Who knows?

But they will have big shoes to fill!

Rachel Maddow will always be a part of pop culture. She is a media personality, radio host, author and entrepreneur.

Folks found put that a grocery store in East Dayton has closed. Save-A-Lot Stores, Inc. has permanently closed its Eastown Shopping Center location and is recommending shoppers to travel two miles to the Breitenstrater Square location bordering Dayton and Kettering.

There's a couple of reasons to why it closed. But it has nothing to do with theft.

It has to do with leasing of the property. I am guessing the lease is up and the company had no choice but to leave. Also the company is struggling with this pandemic. With the cost of goods and services, that location was not feasible for the company. They are probably considering the Airway Shopping Center in Riverside or even the soon to be vacant Kroger in the Walnut Hills neighborhood.

The original Save-A-Lot store was located about 1/2 mile from the current location. It was on Linden Avenue. The company decided to close and became a Dollar General Market. Then in 2013, Save-A-Lot opened up in the Eastown Shopping Center.

The company is also selling off locations. 

The St. Louis-based discount grocer said September that it has completed deals to sell the Save A Lot supermarkets to Yellow Banana LLC. Financial terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed. Yellow Banana is part of 127 Wall Holdings LLC, a minority-owned holding company co-founded by Walker Brumskine, Ademola Adewale-Sadik and Michael Nance, who are joined by veteran operator and 127 Wall Holdings co-founder Joseph Canfield, who serves as Yellow Banana’s CEO.

Supermarket News reported that Save-A-Lot is transitioning into wholesale products and converting stores in the near future.

Yellow Banana said it aims to broaden each store’s assortment of local and regional products and hire from local communities. All of the stores are slated to be significantly remodeled in 2022 to reflect Save A Lot’s latest branding, including new decor, upgraded flooring and lighting, and updated produce and meat cases.

“In many cases, our stores are the only accessible option for healthy, affordable groceries,” Canfield stated, “and we will work hard to earn our place as the beloved hometown grocer across our communities.”

The 32 stores acquired by Yellow Banana generate combined annual revenue of more than $130 million, which makes Yellow Banana one of Save A Lot’s largest retail partners, the companies said.

“It is an honor to invest in communities like the one in which I was raised,” commented Nance, who grew up frequenting one of the Cleveland-area Save A Lots now owned by Yellow Banana. “The philosophy that guides our collaboration with Save A Lot is centered on providing both food and job security to those communities that are most in need.”

In December, Save A Lot announced it was shifting to a wholesale-focused business, a move that entails the sale of more than 300 corporate-operated stores to current and new retail partners. At the time, the company had 14 distribution centers and more than 1,000 stores in 33 states, with the vast majority of the locations licensed by over 200 independent grocers. Plans call for Save A Lot to retain 21 corporate-operated stores in St. Louis to serve as testing sites for retail partners. 

Upon announcing the strategy, Save A Lot said it had enacted seven sale transactions encompassing 82 company-operated stores, with other deals nearing completion. Most recently, in late May, the company said it sold five Washington, D.C.-area stores in Maryland to independent retailer AQS Foods LLC.

In July, Save A Lot unveiled plans to remodel a third of its store base in 2021 and upgrade the rest of the stores by 2024. Currently, the company has about 1,000 stores in 32 states.

Corbel Capital Partners served as financing partner for the transaction with Yellow Banana, and Squire Patton Boggs served as legal counsel.

“We expect this to be only the start of future growth and collaboration with 127 Wall Holdings, Corbel and Save A Lot,” stated Michael Jones, principal at Corbel Capital Partners.

There is no word on what will become of the now vacant property. But it will soon be a blight magnet.

Of course, grocery stores are not convenient in Dayton. With the looming departure of Kroger, the East Dayton is left with only one option, Dollar General Markets. It's also left with Family Dollar and local establishments which lack fresh vegetables and fruit. 

Kroger, Meijer, Walmart, Aldi, Target, Costco and Sam's Club are in the suburbs. They left Dayton with food deserts and economic turmoils. They build their million square feet facilities, enjoy the tax breaks the county gives them but soon as the profits dry up, the depart and leaves the community with a boarded up building plagued to vandalism, arson and depreciation of the area.

They are going to face nights where they won't be able to sleep if protesters start blaring noises at their homes.

Senate Democrats are facing mounting pressure to increase the nation’s debt threshold by Oct. 18, amid concern from the Biden administration that the U.S. could default on financial obligations.

Republicans in the upper chamber, who have already voted twice against raising the U.S. debt limit, are expected to block another vote Wednesday.

Earlier this week, reports showed Democrats were considering changing chamber rules to create an exception to the filibuster and allow the debt limit to be increased by a simple majority. 

"I've been very, very clear where I stand, where I stand on the filibuster," Manchin told reporters Wednesday. "Nothing's changing. But the bottom line is we have a responsibility to be the adults. Our leadership has a responsibility to lead and that's what I'm asking, imploring them to do."

Democrats will be left with little option but to look at pushing through a ceiling hike by way of budget reconciliation – an option that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said last week was a "non-starter."

Budget reconciliation is a tool the Senate majority could use to fast track budget measures without any support from the minority, and a way to bypass a filibuster blockade – which would require at least 10 Republicans to cross party lines.

Congress was able to reconcile a 2010 budget in 13 days when the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act was passed.

And most recently, Congress passed the American Rescue Plan under the reconciliation process in 15 days.

But Schumer is concerned this legislative tool will prove too complex to push through both chambers in just 12 days. 

"Going through reconciliation is risky to the country," Schumer told reporters. "Going through the long, convoluted, difficult reconciliation process with debt limit is very, very risky."

"We’re not pursuing that," he added.

But Obstructionist Leader Karen McConnell (R-KY) pushed for this route Wednesday, arguing Democrats "have plenty of time to get it done."

"There would be potential for time agreements to wrap it up well before any danger," he said speaking from the Senate floor. 

McConnell on Monday urged President Biden to "engage directly" with Senate Democrats to get all his colleagues on board, warning that no Republicans will assist in raising the debt ceiling. 

White House officials have warned that defaulting on financial obligations could pose a national security threat.

Manchin urged the Senate leaders ahead of Wednesday’s vote to get together to find a solution to prevent a federal default.

"We are not going to default as a country. We will not default. That's the responsibility we have as senators, as Congress, as 535 of us responsible to protect this great country," Manchin said. "I implore them, engage, start working, work this out. This should not be a crisis."

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has gotten fed up with the two. He went public to demand the two tell them what they want so the Democrats can pass the agenda. Sinema continues to not publicly state her position. Manchin wants to limit it but won't say which parts of the deal he wants to keep or remove.

There's too much shit going on in Washington, DC.

Two military veterans move into a neighborhood in Virginia Beach. The Black Navy veteran who served her country and defended the freedoms of all Americans is subjected to months of racial harassment by a neighbor. She decides to tell her story and warn others that racism exists.

Jannique Martinez and her family moved to Jessamine Court in Virginia Beach, the state of Virginia's largest city five years ago. She told CNN's Don Lemon that their neighbor was blaring recordings to antagonize other residents, and now he stepped it up by playing monkey noises and racial slurs whenever the family steps outside the house.

Martinez said her oldest son, 7 is terrified of this man. In addition the guy placed security cameras in the cul-de-sac, so every time they move in the yard, the noise would be blaring.

As soon as she opens her front door, his lights flash or the speakers boom with the racist recordings. The noises were tailored to taunt whichever neighbor triggers the sensors after such innocuous behavior as pulling into their own driveway, she said.

The Virginia Beach Police said that there were several calls to the nuisance and loud music on the block but it "has no authority to intervene."

A Virginia Beach woman had enough of her neighbor playing monkey sounds.

"As appalling and offensive as the neighbors' behaviors are, the city attorney and Virginia magistrates have separately determined that the actions reported thus far did not rise to the level that Virginia law defines as criminal behavior," the department said.

Martinez's only direct interaction with the neighbor over the noise came about a year ago, when she was working from home and her children were starting virtual classes during the pandemic, she said. She asked him to turn down the music that was blasting from his open window at 8am.

"His response to me was, 'Well, let me call the police to make sure I'm in good standing with the law to play my music,'" she told Lemon. "I was floored, because how about you just be a neighborly person, a parent, just anything to understand where I'm coming from, and he was adamant that he was doing nothing wrong."

Now she's decided to push for a protest against the neighbor and so far the national attention is focused on this asshole and hopefully they can get him to lose his job.

And from what I've heard on the social media, it appears that website I refuse to mention is back again.

Also I want to make acknowledgment of the website being sued by the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights is suing this and another hate platform. They are calling for VBulletin and JelSoft to sever ties with white nationalism.

This platform has been around for years. I've tangled with it before and I am certain that the pressure is on these companies to sever ties with extremism.

Bad enough that we have a pandemic, but a gun violence pandemic was ongoing since the 1990s.

So here's where we will end up after the latest mass shooting. Matter of fact, the latest school shooting. 

President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Gov. Karen Abbott, Sen. Karen Cruz (R-TX), Sen. Karen Cornyn (R-TX) and the 38 House members will soon offer their thoughts and prayers, "their hearts going out to" and condemn the action as senseless. God will always be used for a man-made catastrophe. The fingers will be pointing at an entity other than the shooter. The common theme from Republicans will be the "now is not the time to talk about gun control." The National Rifle Association will use the "more cops in school" or the "good guy stops a bad guy" troupe. The idiots over at Fox will quickly determine if the shooter was either a Black man, a practicing Muslim or an immigrant who didn't get American citizenship. If the shooter is white, they immediately call the shooter a Democrat because they don't want to anger the base of extremists who they need to win the elections. After a few days and few activist appearances on television or social media, we go off to another controversy for either ratings, click bait or something to be outraged over.

There was a shooting at a North Texas high school. In the Dallas/Fort Worth/Arlington metroplex, the suspect was apprehended after a three hour search.

Three of the victims were students while the fourth was "an older person that may be a teacher," Arlington Assistant Police Chief Kevin Kolbye said. At least two of the victims suffered gunshot wounds. Their conditions are unknown.

Kolbye said investigators believed the shooting stemmed from an argument between the student and another student in a classroom.

"This is not a random act of violence. This is not somebody attacking our school. This is a student -- we believe right now, preliminarily, that it was a student that got into a fight and drew a weapon," Kolbye said. Later, he clarified that police were not immediately sure whether the gunman was a student at the time. "We do have a suspect who's identified."

"What you're going to see now is that there's going to be continued searches for our suspect," Mansfield Police Chief Tracy Aaron said. "We ask for our citizens' help to continue to search for that person and call in any leads that you may have."

The terrorist will be charged with three counts of attempted murder, reckless weapon discharge, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and inducing panic.

Police said students will be bused to the Mansfield ISD Center for Performing Arts to be reunited with parents.

The Texas Department of Safety's Rangers, the Arlington Police, the FBI and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are investigating.

In Texas, these charges carry 40 years to LIFE if convicted. The terrorist is 18-years old. The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

I don't want to hear that protesting against police killing people of color is hate on cops in general. I don't want to hear talk about the coronavirus being a myth. I don't want hear folks say this is not white privilege. I don't want to hear folks say masks impede their freedoms. I don't want to hear the shit about guns saving lives. These incidents are a tragic part of American history.

We haven't forgotten about the many mass shootings in the United States. COVID-19 doesn't stop individuals from picking up firearms and killing others.

And I am getting fucking tired of white nationalists and their enablers of color complaining about the lack of Black fathers. The fathers are either killed by gun violence, police violence, COVID-19, heart diseases, diabetes, freak accidents and just being Black in America.

The website Officer Down is a memorial to those who were killed in the line of duty. Those who don't get their names mentioned in the junk food media. Also the website the National Gun Violence Memorial also keeps record of the many individuals killed by gun violence.

The New York Police Department's Sergeants Benevolent Association President is in some serious heat.

The controversial leader had his New York office and Long Island home searched by the FBI. His Port Washington, New York home was searched says the FBI spokesman.

It is not clear to why the union boss is under the federal radar, but it may be dealing with corruption.

New York City mayor Bill de Blasio is no friend of the union president. He probably chuckled as he said he has been informed on the turmoils with the union boss.

He is the union president since 2002.

He was frequent fixture on Fox and a strong backer of Washed Up 45. He often went to social media to lash out against Democrats. He had an open feud with de Blasio, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rev. Al Sharpton and Black Lives Matter.

He has called one of his political enemies a "first class whore" because the councilman wanted accountability with the NYPD and the communities of color. Ritchie Torres, was the person in the crosshairs. He is now a U.S. Representative for New York's 15th Congressional District. 

He called a former health commissioner a "bitch" because she felt the former Ferguson cop who shot Michael Brown got off because of his race.

The SBA president has often posted inflammatory crap on social media.

He said that the Michael Brown protests were based "on a lie and the nation of police have been under attack ever since."

The union president isn't charged with a crime as of yet, but there's something brewing with the U.S. Justice Department and it appears that the SBA and Patrol Benevolent Association presidents are in the crosshairs.
