So apparently this 27 year old terrorist shot and killed Barry Washington, Jr. in Bend, Oregon over allegations of him flirting with his girlfriend.

The white man shot this young Black man dead for paying his girlfriend a "respectful" compliment.

The prosecutor is looking for the hate crime charges to be slapped on this suspect.

He is charged with second degree murder, first degree manslaughter, reckless endangerment and tempering with evidence.

The incident happened on a street near an open container drinking district. The terrorist was upset that Washington, 22 spoke to his girlfriend Allie Butler outside The Capital, a popular nightspot in the city.

The Deschutes County Prosecutor John Hummel said, "It is believed that the initial interaction between Barry and [the suspect] began when Barry complimented [the suspect's] girlfriend."

The guy took a shiner and decided to use a firearm to retaliate.

"There's no evidence that what Mr. Washington did when he approached the woman was inappropriate."

"There's not an allegation that he groped her, grabbed her, was crass with here. He complimented her in a respectful matter. She was fine back. She said, 'No thank you. I'm flattered but I'm in a relationship.' No allegations that anything Mr. Washington did was inappropriate."

The two men got into a shouting match. There was some pushing and punches thrown but things calmed down before the egotistical suspect pulled a firearm from his waistband and shot Washington.

Footage was shared on social media.

Cops arrived to the scene to find Washington on the ground bleeding from a shot to the chest. The victim was rushed to the hospital and he died in surgery.

Now the terrorist is facing LIFE in the iron college if convicted. He has not been charged with state or federal hate crime ch  arges yet but the prosecutor is pushing for it. He said it parallels the killings of African Americans when it came to dating/flirting or even daring to look at white women.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On Monday, the president criticized Republicans for not voting to raise the debt ceiling, accusing them of being “reckless and dangerous” in a way that could harm the economy.

"Not only are Republicans refusing to do their job, they're threatening to use [the filibuster] to prevent us from doing our job — saving the economy from a catastrophic event," Biden said during a speech at the White House.

The Democrat-controlled House last week passed legislation that temporarily suspends the debt ceiling. Senate Republicans, however, have said they will not vote to approve such a measure. Biden said the Republicans’ stance is "hypocritical, dangerous and disgraceful."

"Especially as we’re clawing our way out of this pandemic," Biden said.

"We're not expecting Republicans to do their part," Biden said. "We tried asking to no avail. We’re just asking to not use [the filibuster] to block us from doing the job they won't do."

Republicans argue that if Democrats want to govern alone — by trying to enact Biden's "Build Back Better" plan through a legislative process that prohibits a GOP filibuster — they will have to raise the debt limit on their own.

"Republicans' position is simple. We have no list of demands," The Obstructionist McConnell wrote to Biden on Monday. "For two and a half months, we have simply warned that since your party wishes to govern alone, it must handle the debt limit alone as well."

Former news reporter who became Florida's first lady announces she has breast cancer. The controversial governor of Florida announced that his wife was diagnosis with cancer on Monday.

"As a mother of three young children, Casey is the centerpiece of our family and has made an impact on the lives of countless Floridians through her initiatives as First Lady," said Karen DeSantis. He added that his wife is a "true fighter."

"As she faces the most difficult test of her life, she will have not only my unwavering support but the support of our entire family, as well as the prayers and well wishes from Floridians across our state," he added.

The 41-year old has been active in helping promote initiatives addressing mental illness and substance abuse. 

Over 60,000 Floridians died of the coronavirus. Has the DeSantis family ever showed an ounce of "thoughts and prayers" to those who died?

MSNBC contributor Claire McCaskill can testify how Missourians lost faith in the Democratic Party. Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) ain't doing her state any favors. We now have Karen Hawley in the Senate thanks to the bombastic noise of the far right. The instigators of an insurrection are still acting like their shit don't stink.

Before Hawley, there was this douchebag who thought rape was legitimate. He would have been a U.S. senator if it wasn't for those idiotic comments. He lost handily to McCaskill.

He found that death is legitimate.

Former U.S. Rep. Todd Akin, a conservative Missouri Republican whose comment that women’s bodies have a way of avoiding pregnancies in cases of “legitimate rape” sunk his bid for the U.S. Senate and became a cautionary tale for other GOP candidates, died late Sunday. He was 74.

Akin had cancer for several years, his son, Perry, said in a statement. He died at his home in Wildwood, a St. Louis suburb.

“As my father’s death approached, we had people from all different walks of life share story after story of the personal impact he had on them,” Perry Akin said in a statement to The Associated Press.

“He was a devout Christian, a great father, and a friend to many. We cherish many fond memories from him driving the tractor at our annual hayride, to his riveting delivery of the freedom story at 4th of July parties dressed in the full uniform of a colonial minuteman. The family is thankful for his legacy: a man with a servant’s heart who stood for truth.”

Akin represented a Republican-leaning eastern Missouri district that included St. Louis-area suburbs for 12 years, giving up a safe seat to run for the U.S. Senate in 2012. He emerged from a crowded GOP primary to challenge then incumbent McCaskill, only to seriously hurt Republicans’ chances of recapturing a Senate majority less than two weeks later.

Akin, a strong abortion opponent, was asked during an interview by a St. Louis television station whether he supported allowing abortions for women who have been raped. He answered that “from what I understand from doctors” that such pregnancies are “really rare.”

He added: “If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.”

His comments sparked an outcry. The Republican presidential candidate, Karen Romney, immediately rebuked Akin and said his campaign would allow abortions in such cases.

Criticism of Akin’s remarks clouded his U.S. Senate bid until the end, making him a symbol of how Republicans could fumble away races they had a good chance of winning with a candidate deemed too far to the right. Akin’s campaign initially said he “misspoke,” and Akin later said he was wrong.

Akin faced pressure from the national GOP to withdraw and allow the state party to pick a replacement.

He refused and ended up losing the race by nearly 16 percentage points, receiving 39 percent of the vote. Yet other Republican officials and officeholders across the U.S. occasionally echoed his remarks — signaling how conservative some of the party’s base had become on the issue.

Two years later, Akin published a book, “Firing Back,” in which he accused GOP leaders of abandoning him and letting McCaskill win and labeling news organizations as bullies. In the book, he also retracted his public apology for his “legitimate rape” remark.

Akin never ran for office again, though early in 2015, he briefly fueled speculation about a 2016 primary challenge to GOP U.S. Sen. Karen Blunt with remarks that tea party Republicans wanted “new blood.”

Akin was born July 5, 1947, in New York City, but grew up in the St. Louis area. He received a bachelor’s degree in engineering and management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts in 1970, served in the U.S. Army and worked for IBM. He worked in corporate management at the St. Louis-based Laclede Steel Co.

He won a seat in the Missouri House in 1988 and served in the Legislature for 10 years. He won Missouri’s 2nd Congressional District seat in 2000 and was reelected five times. He also served on the board of the anti-abortion group Missouri Right to Life.

In the 2012 U.S. Senate primary, Akin faced two formidable opponents, former State Treasurer Karen Steelman and businessman Karen Brunner.

Claire McCaskill defeated that idiot.

Many Democrats thought McCaskill’s best shot at winning reelection would be with Akin as the GOP nominee. Her campaign aired television ads suggesting Akin was too conservative, Brunner was not a reliable conservative and Steelman represented “more politics as usual.”

Republicans took the ads as McCaskill’s attempt to help Akin win the GOP primary. An autobiography that McCaskill published in 2015 said she also tried to boost Akin’s campaign by urging it through back channels to resume airing a television ad featuring an endorsement from former conservative GOP presidential candidate and ex-Arkansas Gov. Karen Huckabee.

McCaskill’s moves paid off. Akin prevailed in the eight-person GOP field with only 36 percent of the vote.

Funeral information has not been announced. Survivors include Akin’s wife, Lulli Boe Akin, his mother, Nancy Bigelow Akin, four sons, two daughters and 18 grandchildren.

Now the Arizona Democratic senator is feeling the Bern. She was caught in a restroom taking a dump when protesters came crashing in. She clearly ignored them. As she went to washing her hands, two women told her that their needs are not being met and they've backed her campaign to win.

So at Arizona State University, protesters followed Sinema into the restroom demanding she do something on immigration reform and pass the infrastructure bill. 

Dr. Sophia Marjovic, one of the immigration activists who confronted Sinema said that she will expect more protests if she don't stop playing games.

The president was asked about the confrontation from that asshole on Fox. The president said that it is part of the process. "I don't think they're appropriate tactics, but it happens to everybody."

He added, "The only people it doesn't happen to are the people who have Secret Service standing around them."

He basically said that its "part of the process." 

Pressure for her and the West Virginia Democrat senator to back President Joe Biden's Build Back Better agenda or suffer the consequences.

The West Virginia senator was confronted by kayakers at his luxury yacht.

Also Fox is trying to pretend they're in "good faith" about politicians being confronted by protesters.

In case you're wondering, it only takes 15 minutes to conduct a COVID-19 test. If you test positive, you must take precautions to prevent the spread. If you are fully vaccinated, the state's health provider will hand you a COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card. It will be needed in case of travel.

If you're able to travel on an airplane or leave the continental United States, you must have a COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test. In the state of Hawai'i, you must provide proof you're vaccinated or have a negative test.

So I am guessing this former NBA star is either broke, stupid or just willfully ignorant.

Lazar Hayward, Jr. has been identified as one of the two visitors from California arrested on Tuesday afternoon in Kauai on suspicion of uploading fake COVID-19 test results into the database that screens and tracks Hawai'i arrivals amid the pandemic.

Hayward and his girlfriend Raven Randle flew into Lihue Airport on a direct American Airline flight from Los Angeles after uploading the falsified documents in an attempt to sidestep quarantine.

The state law requires travelers to submit either vaccine cards or negative COVID-19 tests to Hawai'i's Safe Travels portal in order to visit the islands without quarantining. The program flags fake tests.

The fake tests are flagged by the state's computer. As soon as Haywood and Randle arrived in the state, they were detained. 

The two were driven back to the airport, arrested and ordered a flight back to Los Angeles. Now the two are facing felonies for unsworn falsification. 

Hayward had some time with the NBA during the early 2010s. He played for the Washington Wizards, Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets. At his final time, he was playing for Guaros da Lara of the Liga Profesional de Baloncesto. 

The suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Powerball for Monday will be $750 million to $1 billion. Expect Americans to start buying lottery tickets. But with this pandemic, will the long lines exist or will it be low turnout which allows jackpots to exceed to historial numbers.

Let's the get the important stuff out of the way.

Most lotteries and casinos offer help for problem gambling. I want to acknowledge this.

The National Council on Problem Gambling operates the National Problem Gambling Helpline Network (1-800-522-4700). The network is a single national access point to local resources for those seeking help for a gambling problem.

It is a difficult thing to tell a family member, friend, co-worker or a player of a gambling venue. But if see something, say something. It may save a life.

The signs of problem gambling include:

  • The person constantly borrowing money from friends, family, loan facilities or banks.
  • The person is always taking more out to chase the jackpot (or clout).
  • The person loses track of time or misses appointments due to gambling.
  • The person is running late on paying bills or dues.
  • The person feels like "playing it back" is the only way to win.
  • The person is getting agitated over wins and losses.
  • The person is using alcohol or drugs to ease stress. 
  • The person damages property at casinos or lottery retailers.
  • The person deliberately asks others to claim prizes to avoid paying child support, spousal support or owed taxes.
  • The person uses false ID, false social security numbers or gives wrong information to avoid taxes or has known status as a banned guest or voluntarily excluded player (self-prevention/restricted gambler).
  • The person is restless and feel the only way to relax is to gamble.
  • The person is jeopardizing relationships, their jobs and their social life in order to gamble.
  • The person repeatedly lies about wins and loses.
  • The person is trying to curb problem gambling but never achieves the goal.

These are the hard truths about problem gambling. You know someone or have a problem. That's why it's important to know your limits when you gamble. 

Folks, the multi-state Powerball will now have three active drawings. The original jackpot drawings were on Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59pm. Now the drawings will be on Monday nights as well.

It will try to increase the opportunity for players who avoided playing during the pandemic.

Rules on how to play lottery. Note: Many lottery venues are no longer taking verbal requests due to the coronavirus and the possibility of eliminating long wait times due to excessive ticket requests.

  • Make sure you have money on hand. The operator is required to take money before issuing a ticket. Make sure you have your numbers placed on either a betting card, your lottery app or a previous ticket. Most operators will help you plug numbers in through the terminal or place an automatic bet for you. However in the case of long lines or possible errors, it would be best to be prepared for the transaction. Some states do offer debit and credit transactions. Make sure you get your information from your local lottery commission. You cannot cancel Powerball or Mega Millions tickets. They are property of your state (or territory's) lottery commission. Any alteration, distortion or underage playing will void the games.
  • In most states, the required age to play the lottery is 18 years or older. Do not let anyone under the playing age purchase a ticket or lottery game. The operator could lose their license or you will forfeit your prize if the regional lottery operator determined that an underage player was the winner.
  • If you purchase Powerball and Mega Millions from another state (or territory) and you won, understand that it not a winner in your home state. You must return to the state (or territory) where you purchased the ticket. The Mega Millions is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Powerball is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. If you're a traveler and won the lottery in the state of purchase, you have to return to the state to claim your prize. Every state has their own rules and regulations so don't think "it's all the same." It's not. It's a licensed property of the state gaming commission. 
  • Whenever a lottery retailer handles a jackpot ticket, ask the cashier to make sure you hear the "winner" sound. Most machines will make a noise if you're a winner. There are also ticket verifying stations located near a lottery terminal. Make sure before you hand a ticket to a cashier, you are sure you won a jackpot. Ask for a claims form and/or a validation claim voucher. If you are claiming jackpots that are under $500 or less at a licensed lottery operator, check your tickets at a lottery scanner first before handing the ticket off to the clerk. Make sure the cashier confirms the ticket. Tickets over $500 or more may have to go to a local lottery office in a regional jurisdiction. Lottery operators have vendor licenses and tickets are printed by a large set of numbers. If any allegations of fraud or cheating do occur, the lottery can subpoena the operator for the records of purchase and video surveillance of the person who purchased the ticket.
  • Mega Millions and Powerball minimum jackpots start at $20 million. Each ticket is valued at $2 per unit. Some states have multiplier options to their games which could make your ticket $3 or $4 per unit. 
  • You can view the results of Mega Millions and Powerball on your local television station at 10:59pm. Mega Millions is drawn on Tuesday and Friday. Powerball is drawn on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. You can also get your state's lottery results on websites, the lottery commission apps on the Apple Store and Google Play. You can view results on social media. 
  • You can self-validate tickets under $500 through your phone so it can make it "touchless" contact. You can also get winnings under $500 installed in your bank account or through a credit card. Some fees do apply for distribution of cards and bank deposits.
  • You have at least 90 days to a year to claim a Mega Millions or Powerball jackpot. Some states have a period of time to claim your prize. If you fail to claim the prize upon its final claim day, it will go back to the state. The lottery operator will collect a reward for selling the winning ticket. Do not wait till the last minute to claim a jackpot prize. The lottery commission does have the right to forfeit or cancel any prizes presented.
  • Do not quit your job until you're certain you won the lottery. At the end of the day, some people get bored with their lives and may want to return to the workforce. Don't burn bridges with your employer. You may have to return back to the employer one day.

You know I've often posted about what I would do if I won the lottery. It is not legal advise so you don't have to take my word for it. I am just expressing what I am going to do if I win the lottery.

I will first write my name on the lottery ticket. I will always make sure that if I ever lose that ticket, my name is on it and it cannot be claimed by someone who is the person who wrote on the back of it.

I will also make sure I take a picture of the ticket. It will be a good thing to take a picture if you want to prove to your state's lottery commission that you were the one who purchased the ticket. I mean it would be smart to take pictures of your lottery tickets. Say if you have a group purchase of lottery tickets and you purchase one for yourself or your family member. You won't have to obligate to the group pool's tickets if you show that you bought one for yourself. Because it will be a legal matter if you purchase the group tickets but failed to disclose you purchased one for yourself. Even though you won on your own separate ticket, it's best to let the group know that you purchased a solo ticket to prevent them from believing you've stolen money or violated the group's contract.

If I do win the lottery, I will immediately pay off all my debts. The car loans, child support, spousal support, medical bills, phone bills, mortgage, court fees and bank loans will be paid in full. Before I even collect my lottery winnings, I want to be caught up on everything. Many states will offset lottery winnings due to a person owning state debt, child support, spousal support and court fees. If you know that you owe, pay it off.

I will immediately close my social media and change my phone number. If you're a winner of the lottery, the junk food media, your family, your friends, your acquaintances, your co-workers, your community, charity groups, scammers and the state will know you. I am going to cancel my Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat and social dating apps. I am very clear about my movements and I chose to not be public about it. When I was younger and naive, I would have shown my face to the public. But alas, I've gotten older and I am not the same as I was when I was younger.

I will also get a trust fund prepared, a will and a trusted member of family to hold my winnings. Yeah, it would be nice to establish a trust fund for family members if you do die. I mean this year is full of uncertainty. Winning the lottery has higher odds than catching the coronavirus. On point, 1 out of 15 people are infected with the coronavirus and people have died from it. You win the lottery one day and the next day you caught the coronavirus. You got to remind yourself, you can't take it when you're gone. So it's best to establish a will to distribute your lottery winning to either family, charity and those who you feel deserve it. It will be written and notarized by an attorney or a bank. If you do establish a trust fund you could hire a financial advisor or a family member to oversee your earnings. Make sure that financial advisor is licensed and trusted by the Better Business Bureau. It also must be routine to study on how lottery winners adapt to money. Cause you're going into a bigger tax bracket and taxes vary on many states.

Now that I have my lottery winnings, I will now take the opportunity to buy things that are rational. I would purchase a vehicle, get a home, put some in an investment and prepare for a vacation. Of course, vacations are no longer the norm in the age of COVID-19. So I would be smart to be prepared to be tested for the coronavirus before I take a vacation. Many countries have banned Americans entry to their countries out of fear we're carrying the coronavirus. With the various strains and outgoing President Donald J. Trump's failure to take control of the matter, world leaders don't trust the American leadership in handling a global pandemic.

You might also want to make sure you're not playing lottery on company work time. You might also want to make sure that you don't scratch the tickets first then pay for them last. I used to work at a gas station and a former co-worker often took lottery tickets, scratch them off and then pay for them after they were scratched.

Taking lottery tickets is not only theft but a felony in some states if the vendor decides to press charges. 

Not only the lottery vendor could lose their license (if they look the other way), they lose the bonus from the sold winning ticket and they could be audited by the lottery commission. The worker will be forbidden from playing lottery if convicted. And yes, family members or friends who try to buy on behalf of a banned player could be criminally charged.

Be humble about winning the lottery. You will not live a normal life. You could hopefully use the lottery winnings for a long time of success or squander it away within five years and end up miserable. Do not worry about the have-nots! Enjoy the winnings with pride and caution. Your success shouldn't be a punishment. If you do take the opportunity to win the lottery make yourself aware of the surroundings. 

Be cautious about the pandemic.
