And now immigrants who want to live the American dream are killed by the police. We continue to see more and more incidents where unarmed people of color being killed by the police.
This stuff infuriates me.
A bride to be was killed by the Minneapolis Police. Justine Damond (nee Ruszczyk) was a 40 year woman who emigrated from Australia to be with her fiance and his family. She was a yoga and meditation teacher.
There was a call for a domestic dispute late night on Saturday. Two officers responded to the call and arrived in an alley in the Fulton neighborhood.
"At one point an officer fired their weapon, fatally striking a women," a police statement reported to the Washington Post.
Mayor Betsy Hodges and Minneapolis Police chief Janee Harteau.
Investigators are looking into whether a video of the shooting exists and the Minnesota Bureau Criminal Apprehension board and the Justice Department are involved.
Officers did not turn on their body cameras when they approached Damond.
The two officers were placed in the freezer. The prosecutor must determine if their actions were justified.
Justine's family demands answers. Her step son took to social media to say that his "mum" was a true Sydneysider who was "passionate" and his "best friend."
"Basically my mum was shot for reasons I don't know," he said on social media. "I just know she heard a sound in the alley so then she called the police and the cops showed up and she was a very passionate woman, she probably thought something bad was happening and then next thing I know they take my best friend's life."
He added, "This is a very difficult time for our family," the statement said. "We are trying to come to terms with this tragedy and to understand why this has happened."
Justine grew up in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She wanted to be married at the end of the month. Now her fiance and family will bury her on their wedding day.
The civil rights activist and Black Lives Matter address the controversy.
"For years, activists and community members have raised concerns about the 'shoot first, ask questions later' mentality amongst some police officers. Beyond that, police officers have routinely escaped accountability for perpetuating violence against civilians and have been allowed to kill with impunity. Justine Damond is the latest causality of a flawed system of policing, that is urgently in need of being overhauled. The fact that her case has been shrouded in a cloak of secrecy merely reinforces concerns surrounding a lack of transparency and accountability within this system," said Nekima Levy-Pounds, a local civil rights attorney and police reform activist.
She said that city's mayor Betsy Hodges and Gov. Mark Dayton (D) have failed the community. She is running for mayor against Hodges.
She said this is a "flawed system of policing."
"The tragic and senseless death of Justine Damond at the hands of the Minneapolis Police Department illustrates everything that is wrong with our system of policing in the US," she said.

It is mandatory for Americans to have health insurance. Unfortunately Republicans believe that it's too costly to have insured Americans. They rather spend all this money on military and border security.

The Tulsa Police officer who was acquitted of the murder of Terrence Crutcher will no longer be employed with them. Betty Jo Shelby will be fired out the cannon effective August 3rd, 2017.
The only person who shot at an unarmed Crutcher initially was assigned to another task. She would witness Crutcher's vehicle in the middle of the road.
She would investigate and see a belligerent man acting erratically.
Of course she radios for assistance. The Tulsa Police would corner him near the vehicle. The police helicopter would arrive.
The concern trolls talk about the lack of Black fathers. The whataboutism usually plays a role in the fatal police shootings of Black men.
The helicopter would zoom on Crutcher walking away with with his hands up.
On the radio scanner, Shelby's husband, a police pilot would utter the words, "looks like a really bad dude."
Then in the few seconds, you hear Shelby shout, "shots fired."
Shelby shot Crutcher three times. She claimed that he was reaching into his vehicle. Apparently, she thought wrong. He was unarmed and the video evidence showed he was threatening her.
The Tulsa County Prosecutor tried to indict her on murder. A White jury decided that despite Shelby being the only one who shot him, despite the infamous 60 Minutes interview and her record, she was found not guilty.
Shelby bolted out the courtroom fearing the public backlash.
Shelby was soon rehired to the force but was restricted to desk work.
The dirty cop's backers is the Tulsa Police Union. They released her statement on her cannon firing. It is with a heavy heart that I made the following decision. Effective August 3, 2017, I will resign from the Tulsa Police Department. Since being reinstated, I have that sitting behind a desk, isolate from all my fellow officers and the citizens of Tulsa is just not for me. I am proud to have had the privilege to call myself a Tulsa Police Officer. It is an honor that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I give thanks to all the people in Tulsa, across Oklahoma, in this country, and those around the world who supported me before, during and since my trial. I want to thank all my fellow officers for the moral support they gave me the last 10 months. I could not ask for better friends. I have had the honor of work I g with the finest officers in the nation. As I have stated before, the incident with Terrence Crutcher was a tragedy for everyone involved, and I am very sorry he lost his life. I pray for healing for his family. Let me get this straight. Tulsa Police said she was too toxic and felt that putting her back on the streets could pose an immediate danger to all officers.
You keep the $36,000 in back pay. You might collect a pension and get a book deal. Maybe a contributor role at either Fox News or Sinclair Broadcast Group. Who knows?

She now is sorry for the family after she went on national television to denounce Terrence and his family. She boldly said that he deserved it. Her defense played "he was high on PCP" and his "previous encounters" as an excuse.

Or the billionaire, who was a neighborhood reserve officer who accidentally shot a fleeing man. Hell, Shelby's supporters are the bad cops that have numerous accounts of alleged brutality. Some of her supporters are White extremists.
Shelby was a cop who got away with murder. Her days were numbered the moment they said she was permanently restrict to desk duty. It was an ugly reminder that BAD COPS will get good cops killed.
Florida only Black state attorney was razed by the law.
The first Black state attorney for the state of Florida got razed by the cops. Body cam footage released this week shows Aramis Ayala being stopped by two Orlando cops.
The excuse was allegedly window tint.
The two cops were rocked by the notion that Ayala was a state attorney. It raised some eyebrows in the nation. Even a Black professional like Ayala was profiled by the cops.
Ayala, who gained national attention when she refuse to issue the death card on a terrorist who shot a police officer and a woman. A jilted boyfriend murdered a Orange County deputy and his estranged girlfriend. It ended at a local Walmart where he surrendered without shots fired.
Orlando was the scene of the worst mass shootings in the country. The Pulse Nightclub shooting elevated Ayala and those involved into the national spotlight.
The body camera video sparked outrage among some who say Ayala was pulled over due to racial profiling.
The traffic stop lasted two minutes and did not involve any shouting or raised voices. They claimed that they ran plates and pulled her over first for the vehicle not being registered.
Stay calm and don't make any sudden moves. Even a Black professional could be razed.
The state attorney was annoyed by the whole ordeal.
"Since its release, the video has had more than 2 million views and produced a flood of misinformation," said Ayala in a statement. "Including the filing of a lawsuit that is not true."
Ayala didn't violate any laws, and her license was properly registered.
"Although the traffic stop appears to be consistent with Florida law. My goal is to have a constructive and mutually respectful relationship between law enforcement and the community," she added in a statement.
She will have a talk with the John Mina, the chief of the Orlando Police to discuss the incident.
It's unfortunate that in America, even a Black professional is a "criminal" in the eyes of law enforcement.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are investigating the fatal police shooting of an unarmed man. Aaron Bailey was the father of four who was shot and killed by cops after they claimed he was reaching for something. Expect more of these events to happen. A father of four was shot and killed by two Indianapolis Metro Police this week and the nation is talking. The police department won't comment on the shooting but promise that an investigation into the matter will be done.
So he had a few run-ins with the law. Does it mean he had to die for them?
The death of Aaron Bailey continues the trend of the police who use deadly force against people of color. The victim was unarmed and the cops will probably use their "fear for their lives" as an excuse to get off with murder.
Officers Michal Dinnsen and Carlton Howard fired their weapons. They claimed that the father was reaching into his car before they shot him. Dinnsen is White. Howard is Biracial/Black.
They are in the freezer pending if deadly force was justified.
Metro Police chief Bryan Roach is trying to get all the details. He acknowledged that this event was tragic and feels sorrow for the family.
Mayor Joe Hogsett vows transparency and accountability for those involved.

Once again, an unarmed person of color is shot and killed by police. They're excuse, "they feared for their life."
The Indy Star reports that the chain of events that ended in gunfire began with IMPD officers attempting to stop Bailey's vehicle about 1:45 am near Bursdal Parkway and East Riverside Drive.
Police said about 10 minutes into the stop, Bailey drove off and a chase started.
The officers have claimed that Bailey committed a traffic violation.
Of course they say that he had a warrant for theft and may have violate his terms of release. See the usual introduce criminal history to justify the shooting. They claimed that he had non violent offenses since the 1990s.
Police have not said if the car was registered to Bailey, the passenger or someone else.
After the chase, the officers approached the vehicle with guns drawn. They said that Bailey was still in the vehicle when they shot him.
His passenger, Shiwanda Ward was not shot but she was shaken by this. She was taken into custody for an unrelated charge.
Ward bonded out and hired a lawyer and kept quiet.
Civil rights group urge calm and peaceful marches.
"It is a human and civil rights issue. When there are no systems for accountability, safety is affected and anyone can be a victim. Let Indianapolis be the last time people lose their lives and families are terrorized by a police force without accountability. Law enforcement accountability means safer communities for us all," said Chrystal Ratcliffe of the Indianapolis NAACP.
Others were critical of the Indianapolis Metro Police.
"People of color are scared to walk and drive on their own streets," said Rev. Kenneth Sullivan of the New Direction Church said in a statement. "We need the community to be able to participate in something that brings resolve to this open season on Black men."
So I am wondering when the conservative start promoting the "whataboutism" when it comes to Blacks and the police.

ABC News is trying to make sure Americans know OJ Simpson's infamy.
The American junk food media was mesmerized by the "Trial of The Century." The People of the State of California vs. Orenthal James Simpson was considered on the biggest public trials in American history.

From January to October 1995, people were watching the trial on most of their local affiliates and of course CNN. People were glued to the verdict.
Simpson was charged with murder for the deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman on June 12, 1994. He was considered the prime suspect after allegations by Nicole saying that Simpson was abusive towards her. Simpson was being served a warrant for his arrest. He took off in his buddy, Al Cowlings in the Ford Bronco. Simpson was threatening suicide during the slow speed chase.
Many local and national junk food media outlets went live throughout the chase.
The busiest freeway in the United States is Interstate 405. That freeway became famous for the "chase viewed across the world."
Simpson would eventually surrender to the law at his home.
During the chase, Simpson penned a note saying if he died, he would be with Nicole.

Simpson who maintained his innocence hired the "Dream Team" of lawyers who helped him throughout the trial.
The verdict was read in late October. Simpson was found not guilty in the murders. He was a free man. However he was served in a civil trial. He was forced to pay over $35 million
During his freedom, Simpson made some appearances and still used his celebrity to attract fans and critics. He would raise his children and have another girlfriend on the side. But in 2007, Simpson found himself once again in the courtroom.
Simpson was convicted of armed robbery, use of deadly weapon to commit kidnapping, burglary, and armed robbery. He was sentenced to 33 years for the charges. OJ Simpson will have a parole hearing in late October. If he clears his hearing, he could walk a free man.
ABC's 20/20 is doing a segment on the infamous robbery in Las Vegas that put Simpson in the iron college for 9 to 33 years. He is in the Work House of Lovelock, Nevada.
Simpson was described as a model intern. Simpson could be out.

The 2 Live Crew began in the mid-1980s and became a part of American history in the 1990s. Their critically acclaimed album, As Nasty as They Wanna Be was a controversial piece. It was an X-rated album and earned the ire of conservatives.

Won and his former partner Luther "Uncle Luke 'Skyywalker'" Campbell were busted in a nightclub after they were performing songs that were deemed offensive. The federal judge placed them in the lockup.

Columbus man fleeing from the cops killed. The law claims he was reaching for his weapon and had a criminal history. He called the police to report kids throwing rocks at his girlfriend's car.

Two incidents in the central Ohio city of Columbus.
An incident that happened was a testament of the use of body cameras by the Columbus Police.
The department released the disturbing video of a fatal police shooting last Friday. The shooting of Kareem Jones got the nation talking. The death of the 30 year old man has brought once again attention to use of deadly force by the police.

The claims by a woman living in the Franklinton neighbor got the attention of the police. She claimed that kids were throwing rocks at her car. The woman next door to sister's duplex and Jones were looking for the kids who threw the rocks.
Jones headed by the duplex when the officers came in contact with him in a backyard.
The cops, Samuel James and Marc Johnson were exiting their vehicle and confronted Jones with guns drawn. Jones hands were initially up in the air. He was backing up with his hands up.
Then as he run, the video the police released shows Jones reaching into his waistband. I don't really see it.
The cops open fire on him.
Was he reaching for his firearm or trying to pull up his pants?
He drops. Then that's when the cops turn on their microphones. They start cussing and then cuffed him. He was laying on the ground for ten minutes before a medic was called.
During the video, other cops ask what happened?
"We roll up, we're talking to him, and I see a bulge in his waistband under his shirt and I'm like, 'That has to be a phone.'"
The officer goes on to say, "He draws down on him, and he pulls his fucking gun on us."
Kareem Jones died of his injuries at the local hospital. Now four children lost their father and the family is demanding answers. Kareem called the police for a crime. He wasn't the criminal.
Cops were placed in the freezer after they shot a fleeing man who flashed a gun.
The cops are placed in the freezer pending an investigation if force was justified.
But of course, since he's a Black man with a gun, the police see a threat. The conservative trolls will use their "whataboutism," to defend the actions of the cops.
The shooting of a Black male has gotten the attention of the nation. Even in Ohio's largest city, the divide is wide and people aren't truly feeling the Cbus.
The city of Columbus, Ohio is the largest in the state. The current population is 910,000 residents and it's growing.
By the way, Columbus Police delivered a least some accountability for the actions of their division cops.
Remember the incident where a cop kicked a handcuffed individual, he was fired out the cannon.
The ex-cop, Zachary Rosen was seen on video serving a handcuffed man a side order of toe jam salad. He was placed in the freezer. He had a disciplinary problem throughout his years.
Black Lives Matter responds to the NRA and white extremists go bonkers.
Black Lives Matter responds to the National Rifle Association. The pro-gun, pro-White and pro-stupid organization refuses to acknowledge the concerns of the BLM activists.
So in response, BLM Los Angeles made a video.
It was a response to NRA's Dana Loesch. She found herself on the end of a "digital dash." She caught flack for promoting a controversial commentary slamming "leftists" who invoke violence against law abiding Americans.
"When the NRA issues a public call to their constituents, inciting violence against police who are constitutionally fighting for their lives, we don't take that lightly, said Funmilola Fagbamila, a member who leads the Los Angeles chapter.
"They use their new president to enact a 'law-and-order administration.' All to make them shoot first, to make them ask questions later, make them scream, 'I thought he had a gun in his hand' and 'I feared for my life' and 'he matched the description of a suspect' and 'she was threatening us' -- until the only option left is for Black people to disrupt the systems that keep us oppressed and build the kinds of communities which we want to live."
She won't denounce police brutaliy.
The response was aimed at the NRA's lackluster involvement in the Philando Castile encounter.

On CNN, Loesch responded to the criticism. She said that it was "absolutely awful." She thought the situation should have been avoided.
Whataboutism is a new term created by progressives to denounce conservatives trying to "concern troll" topics.
The Advise Show noted the White extremist trolls denouncing the BLM response.
Right wing propaganda dominates the local news. Sinclair Broadcast Group will place its propaganda and the awful TBD Network in 54 million homes.
On Last Week Tonight, comedian John Oliver remarks on the potential merger of two media groups.
He said that this deal could make it a top-tier for promoting conservative propaganda.
Sinclair Broadcasting Group is a Maryland based company that owns local television stations in the country. Sinclair is trying to acquire Tribune Media, the owners of The Chicago Tribune.
Sinclair is about to distribute its propaganda into your local news. Sinclair's programming is slanted so far to the right, it actually could usurp Fox News as the choice of conservatives.
Oliver remarked that some local news stations were given "must runs," which included right wing video op-eds from Mark Hyman and former Trump consultant Boris Epstein.
He also noted that local anchors were saying the same talking point about the FBI's investigation into Michael Flynn, the disgraced National Security Adviser who failed to disclose his close contacts with Russian operatives.
"If the opinions were confined just to the commentary or to the ad breaks that would be one thing. But Sinclair can sometimes dictate the content of your local newscast as well. And in contrast to Fox News -- a clearly conservative outlet where you basically know what you're getting -- with Sinclair they're injecting Fox-worthy content into the mouths of your local news anchors," said Oliver.
On Sundays, you have Sheryl Attkisson who hosts Full Measure, an investigative program that promotes conservative talking points.
Sinclair Media has also purchased this obscure website called Circa News. It turned Circa News into a propaganda outlet suited for all things Donald J. Trump.
The official softball of the Trump corporation is promoting Sara Carter, a whataboutist who works as a contributor on Circa News.
Sooner or later, Sean "Softball" Hannity may exit Fox News. He's found a fixation with Carter.
I only assume that once the softball strikes out with Fox News, he'll join Sinclair Broadcasting Group to host a program on local affiliates.
Anyway, our local affiliates here are owned by Sinclair. I hardly watch the local news anymore.
Our local affiliate just put on this crappy TBD Network to replace the more reasonable GritTV.
