Jason Collins, the NBA's first openly gay player died of brain cancer.
For most of his time in the NBA, Jason Collins hid a secret. He was debating whether he told his girlfriend at the time and his family. He was in fear of the backlash knowing that most of the league is straight shooters.
He finally had the courage to come out and tell the world he was gay.
Collins was engaged to WNBA player Carolyn Moos at the time and felt that he betrayed her by hiding his feelings. Moose was devastated at the time but put aside her anger to support him as he decided to put his truth to the world.
Collins, the NBA’s first openly gay player who went on to become a pioneer for inclusion and an ambassador for the league, has died after an eight-month battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer, his family announced Tuesday.
Collins spent 13 years as a player in the league for six different franchises. He revealed in 2013 that he was gay, an announcement that came toward the end of his playing career.
Collins had been diagnosed with Stage 4 glioblastoma, which has an extremely low survival rate. He was 47.
“Jason changed lives in unexpected ways and was an inspiration to all who knew him and to those who admired him from afar,” Collins’ family said in a statement released through the NBA. “We are grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers over the past eight months and for the exceptional medical care Jason received from his doctors and nurses. Our family will miss him dearly.”
Just last week, Collins received the inaugural Bill Walton Global Champion Award at the Green Sports Alliance Summit. He was too ill to attend and his twin brother, former NBA player Jarron Collins, accepted for him.
“I told my brother this before I came here: He’s the bravest, strongest man I’ve ever known,” Jarron Collins said while accepting that award.
Jason and Jarrod Collins both played for the league.
Jason Collins averaged 3.6 points and 3.7 rebounds in his career. He helped the New Jersey Nets reach two NBA Finals and in his best season averaged 6.4 points and 6.1 rebounds for them in 2004-05.
“Jason Collins’ impact and influence extended far beyond basketball as he helped make the NBA, WNBA and larger sports community more inclusive and welcoming for future generations,” NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said. “He exemplified outstanding leadership and professionalism throughout his 13-year NBA career and in his dedicated work as an NBA Cares Ambassador. Jason will be remembered not only for breaking barriers, but also for the kindness and humanity that defined his life and touched so many others.
“On behalf of the NBA, I send my heartfelt condolences to Jason’s husband, Brunson, and his family, friends and colleagues across our leagues.”
Jason Collins spent the bulk of his career with the Nets, and also played for Atlanta, Boston, Memphis, Minnesota and Washington.
“This one hurts,” Dallas coach Jason Kidd, a former teammate and coach of Collins, wrote on X. “Jason Collins was a pioneer. He had courage like you’ve never seen. He was an incredible teammate. And having him in Brooklyn at the start of my coaching journey meant so much. Those who knew him were blessed to call him a friend. You are already missed my brother. Rest in power.”
Jason Collins revealed his sexuality in a first-person account for Sports Illustrated in April 2013. He was a free agent at the time, said he wanted to keep playing, and went on to play in 22 games with Brooklyn the following season.
“If I had my way, someone else would have already done this,” he wrote at that time. “Nobody has, which is why I’m raising my hand.”
His decision was widely lauded, with star players such as Kobe Bryant quickly speaking out in support of Collins. There was even support from the White House and then-former President Bill Clinton — whose daughter, Chelsea, went to Stanford with Collins. At Stanford, Collins was roommates with someone who was part of another American political dynasty, that being Joe Kennedy III, who spent eight years in Congress representing Massachusetts.
Collins, in the piece for Sports Illustrated, wrote that he realized he needed to go public about his sexuality when Kennedy walked in Boston’s gay pride parade in 2012 — but Collins couldn’t do the same.
Collins leaves behind his partner, film director Brunson Green.
Until then, Collins kept his feelings about gay rights close to the vest. He wore jersey No. 98 for the majority of his final three playing stints with Boston, Washington and Brooklyn — a nod to the year that Matthew Shepard, a gay college student in Wyoming, was killed. He also wore 46 in one game for the Nets, since it was the only jersey the team had available when he signed.
Tributes poured in Tuesday from around basketball and beyond. The Human Rights Campaign, a civil rights advocacy group, released a statement that said in part, “stepping forward as he did boldly changed the conversation. He was and will always be a legend for the LGBTQ+ community.”
Added Arn Tellem, the agent who represented Collins: “Representing Jason Collins was one of the great honors and privileges of my life — not only as an agent, but as a counselor and confidant. ... The courage he showed changed lives and transcended our game. His impact reached far beyond basketball.”
A moment of silence was held Tuesday before the Minnesota at San Antonio playoff game, in tribute to both Collins and Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke — whose death was announced Tuesday as well. The Spurs lauded Collins not just for breaking barriers, but for “his bravery and kindness.”
Collins made nearly 61% of his shots in his career at Stanford, which remains a school record. He was an honorable mention selection for The Associated Press’ All-America team in 2001, a few months before the Houston Rockets took him with the 18th pick in that year’s NBA draft.
“It’s a sad day for all of us associated with Stanford basketball when we lose one of the program’s greats,” former Stanford coach Mike Montgomery said. “We all have great memories of Jason and the kind of person he was. It’s hard to separate Jarron and Jason because they thought so alike, but even though he was an identical twin, Jason was unique in his own way. The impact he had on Stanford was immense, as he could match up against anyone in the country because he was big, smart, strong and skilled, all while being a very bright and nice person.”
Jason Collins was Northridge, Los Angeles, California. He has a twin brother Jarron, who played for the Utah Jazz. He leaves behind his partner Brunson Green.
The NBA announced the death of Memphis Grizzlies Brandon Clarke.
The Memphis Grizzlies and the NBA are mourning the loss of a forward Brandon Clarke.
He took his own life after a series of setbacks in his career.

The team and his agents announced Tuesday, and a person familiar with the terms of the ongoing investigation said an autopsy was planned to determine the exact cause.
The 29-year-old Clarke was found dead Monday at a home in the Los Angeles area and emergency personnel who responded to the scene found drug paraphernalia in the home, said the person, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because those details were not released publicly.
Neither the Grizzlies nor Clarke’s agency, Priority Sports, provided any details about the cause of Clarke’s death.
“We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of Brandon Clarke. Brandon was an outstanding teammate and an even better person whose impact on the organization and the greater Memphis community will not be forgotten,” read a statement from the Grizzlies.
His agents wrote on social media that they were “beyond devastated.”
“He was so loved by all of us here and everyone whose life he touched,” read the statement from Priority Sports. “He was the gentlest soul who was the first to be there for all of his friends and family.”
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver expressed sympathies to Clarke’s family and friends and the Grizzlies organization.
“We are devastated to learn of the passing of Brandon Clarke,” Silver said. “As one of the longest-tenured members of the Grizzlies, Brandon was a beloved teammate and leader who played the game with enormous passion and grit.”
Clarke was the 21st overall pick out of Gonzaga in the 2019 NBA draft by Oklahoma City, which dealt his rights to the Grizzlies.
He was fourth in the 2019-20 Rookie of the Year balloting — his Grizzlies’ teammate Ja Morant was the overwhelming winner of that award — and also was 11th in the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year voting for the 2021-22 season.
Clarke averaged 10.2 points and 5.5 rebounds in 309 career NBA games.
He averaged 16.9 points in his one season at Gonzaga, transferring there after starting his college career at San Jose State. At Gonzaga, he was a huge part of a team that also had Rui Hachimura — now with the Los Angeles Lakers — and went 33-4.
“He had such a kind, gentle and warm soul, and I will remember the great smile he had on his face whenever you were around him,” read a statement from Gonzaga and its coach, Mark Few. “BC was one of the most easygoing players we have ever had, and he was part of one of the greatest teams in our program’s history.”
Clarke was arrested April 1 in Arkansas for speeding and possession of a controlled substance that was reportedly kratom, an herbal supplement promoted as an alternative pain remedy that becomes illegal in Tennessee as of July 1. He was released on bond a day later.
A federal report in 2019 found overdose deaths involving the herbal supplement kratom were more common than previously reported. Most who died had also taken heroin, fentanyl or others, though officials counted a few instances in which kratom was the only substance listed.
“love you broski. gone way too soon,” Morant wrote in an Instagram post Tuesday.
Clarke joined Morant on the NBA’s All-Rookie team in 2020, and the Grizzlies gave him a multiyear contract extension in October 2022.
But injuries dogged him for more than three years. He tore his left Achilles tendon on March 3, 2023, in a loss to the Denver Nuggets in a showdown of what were then the top two teams in the Western Conference. Injuries limited him to 72 of a possible 246 games over the past three seasons, including only two this season.
“This is an incredible loss for the brotherhood,” the National Basketball Players Association said. “We will remember Brandon not only for the immense joy he brought to so many throughout his career, but for the genuine friendships he built far beyond basketball.”
Clarke was under contract for the 2026-27 season with Memphis, which went 25-57 this season. The San Antonio Spurs paid tribute to Clarke with a moment of silence — both for him and former NBA player Jason Collins, whose death was announced Tuesday — before a playoff game Tuesday night.
Clarke’s “leadership and passion earned him respect throughout the Memphis community and around the league,” the Spurs said.
Health officials have been warning about the risks of an opioid-related chemical known as 7-hydroxymitragynine and a component of kratom. The plant native to Southeast Asia has gained popularity in the U.S. as an unapproved treatment for pain, anxiety and drug dependence.
In the iron college, this dirty cop can preach the gospel.
The former Franklin County, Ohio sheriff's deputy who shot Casey Goodson, Jr. in 2020 was finally convicted. The former deputy tried to push the self defense excuse.
The deputy claimed Goodson was waving a gun while he was a part of U.S. Marshals Task Force. Woodson wasn't even a subject. However, Jason Meade decides to follow him to his grandmother's home. Words were exchanged then Meade shot Goodson multiple times.
Goodson died at Wexner Medical Ohio State. The prosecutors charged him with murder, reckless homicide and gross negligence. The jury had a mistrial on murder, but a conviction on reckless homicide.
The former sheriff’s deputy was found guilty of reckless homicide at trial Thursday for shooting a Black man who was bringing sandwiches to his grandmother’s house.
The killing of Casey Goodson Jr. by Jason Meade in December 2020 had provoked outrage in Ohio.
Trial jurors said they couldn’t agree on the more serious charge of murder, prompting the judge to declare a mistrial on that count.
Meade, who is white, said his shooting of Goodson — five times in the back and once in the side — was justified because he saw the 23-year-old holding a gun and turning toward him in the doorway of the house in Columbus. But no one else testified they saw Goodson holding the gun he was licensed to carry, and no cameras recorded the shooting.
Justice finally came.
This was Meade’s second murder trial after the first one ended in a mistrial two years ago. He is now the second white law enforcement officer to be convicted in the killing of a Black man in the state since the 2020 killing of George Floyd in Minnesota sparked national protests.
Tamala Payne, Goodson’s mother, said the guilty verdict gives her family closure and peace.
“I know now Casey can rest. You know, we’ve been fighting for five and a half years, and Casey sees his family fighting. He knows the stress. He knows the pain. He knows the heartache,” she said. “And now, not only can we try to find peace and finally start truly grieving, my baby can rest.”
Meade had testified in the first trial that he pursued Goodson after the man waved a gun at him as they passed each other in their vehicles. According to his family and prosecutors, Goodson was holding a bag of Subway sandwiches in one hand and his keys in the other, and was listening to music through earbuds when he was killed.
Meade did not take the stand at his second trial.
Prosecutors also said the evidence suggests the gun wasn’t in his hands, but in a flimsy holder under his belt. They added it was found under his body, its safety mechanism still engaged, as Goodson laid mortally wounded on the kitchen floor of his grandmother’s house.
Meade, now 47, retired from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department in 2021. He’s also a Baptist pastor. His attorney cited Meade’s oral and written accounts of what happened, and said the shooting was justified.
Ohio law defines murder as the purposeful causing of a death, while the lesser charge of reckless murder means the defendant acted recklessly in causing a death. The former is punishable by up to life in prison, while the latter carries a maximum prison sentence of five years.
Casey Goodson's mom waited over five years for a conviction.
Judge David Young set sentencing for July 16.
Prosecutors said they were pleased with the guilty verdict on the reckless homicide charge and haven’t decided yet whether to pursue a third trial on the murder charge — something Payne said she would like to see happen.
Defense attorneys Mark Collins and Kaitlyn Stephens did not address the media afterward.
Following the verdict, Brian Steel, president and chief executive of the Fraternal Order of Police Capital City Lodge #9, said he respects the jury but was “disappointed” with the decision. He said he hopes the prosecutor’s office does not seek a retrial on the murder charge.

Five years of being privileged ended on Friday.
“This was long six years drawn out. This is the second trial. I hope they’re for the sake of not only the Meade family, the Goodson family and the community, I hope we don’t try to do a third trial on this murder charge,” Steel said.
Christopher Corne was driving nearby that day and testified for the prosecution at both trials. He said Goodson seemed to be dancing and singing in his truck shortly before the shooting. He also testified during the first trial that he did not see a gun in Goodson’s hand.
Columbus police Officer Samuel Rippey testified at the second trial that while he was administering emergency treatment to Goodson, he saw the gun, with an extended magazine, lying on the floor.
Goodson’s death provoked public outrage in Ohio as the killings of Black people by white officers increased demands for police reform following the killing of Floyd by a white police officer in Minneapolis.
Banners were hung from highway overpasses in Columbus, carrying messages such as “Justice for Casey Goodson Jr.” and “Convict Murderer Meade.” The judge ordered the banners taken down during the trial.
Previous Ohio prosecutions in such cases led to only one conviction — that of Columbus police officer Adam Coy, who was indicted on charges including murder in the 2020 killing of Andre Hill.
For the first time in a fucking generation, inflation outweighs the average paycheck.
The gross domestic product is lower than the national debt.
President Donald J. Trump has a job approval of 30%. This is his lowest job approval.
Vice President JD Vance has a job approval of 37%.
Congress has a job approval of 21%.
Republicans now are unfavorable. They have a 32% job approval. Democrats have 34% job approval.
The biggest issues in the United States is the economy, inflation, income inequality, tone deaf politicians/celebrities and the hantavirus.
Israel is also extremely unpopular. Democrats strongly oppose the apartheid genocidal ethnostate. Republicans are coming closer to opposing Israel.
The U.S. launched its attack on Iran in February. It was a reckless attempt to overthrow the government of Iran. Based on faulty intelligence and pressure from Israel, the U.S. decided to go into this war with intentional causes.
The world now is angry at the president, Israel and the status quo. Where the global market is at risk of collapse, Trump continues to dismiss the concerns.
He said he rather have Iran not having a nuclear weapon over the economic pain.
Republicans have now a slim chance of holding the Congress.
Trump, 79 said the plight of Americans finding it harder and harder to make ends meet and rising gas and consumer prices simply aren’t on his mind as the months-long Iran war and impasse over the Strait of Hormuz continue to fuel surging inflation in the United States.
Trump made the stunning brush-off statement as he departed the White House for Beijing, where he will be feted by Chinese leader Xi Jinping at a state visit, including a lavish Thursday night banquet at the Great Hall of the People.
Asked about the continuing pocketbook pressures faced by everyday consumers as a result of the war he started more than two months ago, Trump told reporters: "I don't think about American financial situation — I don't think about anybody. I think about one thing: We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon."
The president’s blunt comments came just hours after the Labor Department released inflation data showing the Consumer Price Index spiking 3.8 percent from the same point last year, including a .06 percent jump last month in the CPI. Gasoline prices, meanwhile, surged by a whopping 5.4 percent last month alone as the ongoing standoff between the U.S. and Iran has blocked the waterway through which a fifth of the world’s oil supply transits each year.
East Lansing Police kills a man weeks shy of his college graduation.
This could be the catalyst for a civil war. It could be the end of the United States as we know it. The controversial pact between America's police and the Israeli government has been a lethal alliance.
Police agencies receiving training from the Israeli Defense Force must come to an end.
East Lansing, home of Michigan State University is a city known for its college lifestyle.
Located six miles from downtown Lansing, Michigan's state capital, the city of East Lansing is prominent college town. The governor, Gretchen Whitmer resides there.
The tensions are brewing after a East Lansing Police officer shot and killed a Black man.
The family of a 21-year-old Michigan State University student who was shot and killed by police in connection with a stabbing incident last week is demanding police release complete, unedited video and audio evidence.
"The family has been informed that video evidence may be compiled or edited before it is shown," Teresa Bingman, an attorney for Isaiah Kirby's family, said in an April 22 statement. "The family, and the public, are entitled to complete, unedited video evidence. Transparency cannot be selective."
Bingman's office also released a statement from Karyn Kirby, Isaiah's mother.
"While our grief is heavy, we are demanding answers based on facts and untouched video and audio evidence that show my son's alleged involvement in any of the incidents and/or other actions that took place at the scene," the statement said.
Kirby, of Owings, Maryland, was shot and killed during an incident police described as a stabbing that led to a fatal shooting by officers at a business at Lake Lansing and Abbot roads shortly after 6 p.m. on April 15.
While on the way to an initial call regarding a theft from a business, a 911 caller reported that a victim had been stabbed. When police arrived, they fatally shot the stabbing suspect, officials said.
Isaiah's mother demand accountability.
The victim of the stabbing, attorney Douglas Meilock, underwent surgery for his injuries and was released from the hospital over the weekend, police said. Meilock was not acquainted with his attacker, they said.
On Wednesday, April 22, East Lansing police Capt. Adrian Ojerio told the State Journal his department cannot publicly release all of the video and audio evidence from the incident but will release a video timeline of the events in coming weeks. He said the names of the officers involved in the shooting also will be released.
Michigan State Police investigators are conducting the inquiry into the shooting, as the agency often does when deadly force is used by local police departments.
Isaiah Kirby was a senior at MSU majoring in zoology, with concentrations in herpetology and aquarium science, Karyn Kirby said in her April 22 statement.
"He looked forward to graduating in a few weeks, and our entire family and community looked forward to celebrating his success," she said.
Isaiah Kirby worked part-time at the Potter Park Zoo, she said. He was scheduled to be interviewed for a job at a zoo in Austin Texas on April 17, his mother said.
"In the days since his death, we have been present in East Lansing, trying to understand what happened," Karyn Kirby's statement said. "Instead of clarity, we have only been met with confusion, limited information, and decisions being made without our knowledge."
The statement went on to say the family has sought basic information about Isaiah's injuries and the circumtances of his death, and what they learned "raises serious and painful questions that demand answers."
"We want the truth. We want transparency. We want accountability − and we demand justice," Karyn Kirby said in her statement.
Somehow I am getting a road rage incident where it involved a person using a knife either to defend himself.
I just want to say that the Second Amendment is White, period.
A bullet does not care about color. We all bleed red and so many lives are lost to gun violence. Republicans offer no solutions other than "thoughts and prayers", "send them back" with a touch of "lock em up."
Gun violence continues to be the number one threat in the United States.
I dismiss this ridiculous notion that criminals are the problem, not the guns. Firearms are often obtained through legal purchases.
Again, having more security, teachers being armed and offering safe rooms are not solving the problem. The problem is lawmakers not willing to stop gun violence.
According to the far right: White shooters are always mentally ill or lone wolves. The far right believes they should receive some sympathy for their crimes. Black shooters are unrepentant thugs and criminals who deserve lengthy time in the iron college or death. Gay and transgender shooters are active groomers who want to be pedophiles on children. Muslim shooters are terrorists who should be surveiled or deported. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants and they should be deported. According to the far right, almost all white [or non-white] mass shooters are registered Democrats [leftist or some progressive activist] because they have liked or done one thing common to the politics of the left. Of course, they often share or post disinformation by using the ridiculous "Sam Hyde" meme or make bogus social media platforms with the shooter's image as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white or associated with conservative causes. The far right says a white person should "protect" themselves from thugs, terrorists or protesters. They believe the use of firearms are "justified" if they are protesting or even instigating a conflict. The far right believes if a shooter is a police officer, an active military member, a veteran or a citizen who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens in urban communities, the far right automatically assume the gunmen are Black. Even if the evidence turns out that the shooter has alignment with conservative causes or Republicans, the far right dismisses it as a hoax or a plot to demonize the MAGA movement.
The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican lawmakers who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms.
Trump gave us open season.
WHITE PRIVILEGE IS REAL! IT'S "SUIT AND TIE" WHITE SUPREMACY ON TELEVISION, RADIO, THE INTERNET AND AMERICAN POLICY!

IF THE UNITED STATES CONTINUES TO AID ISRAEL, THE WORLD WILL BOYCOTT THE U.S. AND ABANDON THE DOLLAR!
I DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING ON THE INTERNET OR THE COP'S VERSION.
These murderers don't have mental illness. They are calculated and prepared. It happened to be a moment where they have the opportunity to take out lives.

There's no sickness in the head. Most mass shooters legally obtain their assault rifles without little background checks. They have likely no criminal history and they are willing to use the assault weapon in the only thing it's good for: Killing numerous lives.
Holding these lawmakers accountable is not just a pledge, but a promise. You need to learn who represents your community. Your local community member, your school board member, your mayor, your state representative, your state senator, your governor, your U.S. Representative, your U.S. Senator and the president need to be held accountable for their actions.
Iran isn't a threat. The U.S. citizen with a firearm is the threat.
People, please do not resort to the levels of those who profit off the anger. The anger of right wing Americans in the wake of white nationalist Charlie Kirk's death has sparked a censorship and harassment campaign.

We have bigger issues at home and our tax dollars should solve the housing crisis, lowering food prices, fixing roads, bridges, helping reinvest in struggling urban and rural communities. We have hospitals closing, big box retailers leaving communities and television programs dying. There are bigger issues in the country than Israel. You want an immediate ceasefire, a weapons embargo, sanctions and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more domestic or foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and lawmakers avoid influence from lobbyists and special interest groups.
THERE IS NO GOD!
GOD IS NOT FIXING THIS!
FUCK YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!
LET ME BE CLEAR, PRAYERS DO NOT STOP FUCKING BULLETS!
THIS IS A MAN-MADE ISSUE! WHY IS IT SO HARD TO STOP A MAN-MADE ISSUE LIKE GUN VIOLENCE?
STOP SAYING YOU'RE PRAYING TO PEOPLE AFFECTED BY GUN VIOLENCE. IT IS FUCKING PLATITUDES. DO SOMETHING ABOUT FUCKING GUN VIOLENCE YOU WORTHLESS LAWMAKERS. PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP, THE CHOICE TO CONTINUE THE STATUS QUO WILL KEEP YOU AND OTHERS AT RISK OF VIOLENCE. MAKE A CHOICE TO STOP THE CHAOS AND ACT LIKE A FUCKING 79 YEAR OLD MAN. DO SOMETHING TO HELP THE COUNTRY

The brand's creation was announced on June 16, 2025, at Trump Tower in New York City by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, Donald Trump's sons. This date was chosen because it was the 10th anniversary of the announcement of Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.
At the launch of the company's website it included a coverage map with the "Gulf of Mexico", instead of "Gulf of America" contrary to an executive order signed by President Trump. The map was removed from the Trump Mobile website. About a week after the initial announcement that the smartphones would be exclusively manufactured within the United States, Trump Mobile removed those references from its website after analysts pointed to the lack of existing U.S. facilities for such manufacturing. The T1 Phone launch date was changed from September 2025 to "later this year [2025]."
But the device has yet to ship, despite an initial delivery date of August 2025. And its release has been delayed multiple times since, with no official date earmarked as of May 2026.
The Trump Mobile website is still directing customers to a waitlist for the T1 Phone today, albeit a phone that appears slightly different from the one introduced with the launch of Trump Mobile.
All that glitters doesn't shine.
A representative for Trump Mobile was not immediately available to answer questions about the phone on Monday.
It’s unclear how many customers have preordered T1 Phones and paid the $100 deposits (a recent report from the International Business Times puts it at “around 600,000”), but those deposits are said to be completely refundable if customers would rather not wait around.
“Estimated ship dates, launch timelines, or anticipated production schedule are non-binding estimates only,” reads a portion of the terms and conditions, directly under a header reading “No Guarantee of Release, Delivery or Timing.”
The site also indicates that the phone may never be released at all.
“Trump Mobile does not guarantee that: the Device will be commercially released; regulatory approvals (including FCC authorization) will be obtained; carrier certification will be secured; production will commence or continue; or delivery will occur within any specific timeframe,” the terms and conditions read.
Customers wishing to cancel their deposit or request a refund can do so by contacting Trump Mobile customer support at (888) 878-6745, according to the terms and conditions. Refunds will also be issued if Trump Mobile “cancels or discontinues the Device offering prior to sale,” the site says.
Should customers wish to move forward in the hopes of one day getting their T1 Phones, their deposit does not “lock in” the promotional price, either: “Final pricing and offers will be disclosed at the time of purchase, and you will have the opportunity to accept or reject the final terms before completing your purchase,” according to Trump Mobile.
Metro Nashville Police had arrested the white nationalist Dalton Levi Eatherly after he did a dine and dash. He was ordered to pay for his meal and was banned from the facility.
Like an asshole, he goes into a racial rant, calls the food terrible, harass the patrons and walk out of the restaurant with his cameraman.
Eatherly — who goes by Chud the Builder online and is known for trying to provoke people during his livestreams by saying racial slurs — was taken into custody Saturday night after police were called to Bob’s Steak & Chop House, which is located in a hotel downtown.
According to Eatherly’s arrest affidavit, the restaurant staff and security manager told cops that they had asked Eatherly not to be disruptive or livestream while he was being served, according to local NBC affiliate WSMV.
The 28-year-old contractor went on to order two full entrees, drinks and appetizers that amounted to a $371.55 bill, the police report said. The restaurant workers then realized that he had allegedly been live streaming on the crypto trading platform pump.fun the entire time, and asked him to stop.
Eatherly allegedly became disruptive at the request and began to make racial statements, yell and cause a scene. He then said, “I’m not paying if you are kicking me out,” according to the affidavit.
He then left the restaurant, which is when staff called the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers found the streamer walking on Broadway. The affidavit said he “pulled his arm away” while being taken into custody, but was otherwise arrested without incident.
He was admitted to jail Sunday at around 4 a.m. local time, according to online inmate records. He was booked on a bond totaling $5,000 and was released around seven hours later.
Eatherly is charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and theft of services.
The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Lost his $400 cowboy hat and skipped a $400 meal. What a genius?
After the incident, Eatherly shared the full livestream footage on X, claimed that police had taken his phone as “evidence of the crime,” and made his mugshot his profile picture on the platform.
“Just got back to my airbnb after 13hours in custody for leaving a restaurant when i was asked to,” he wrote.
He said in a separate post: “I partially ate the two appetizers i ordered. Never got my meal, and couldnt enjoy or finish the food i did get.”
“Bob’s Steak & Chop House is aware of the incident that occurred at our Nashville location,” the restaurant said in a statement. “The safety and well-being of our guests and team members are always our top priority.”

🔥🚨DEVELOPING: It has been revealed that a Black woman living in Nashville named Lilly Venus is going viral for claiming Chud The Builder was a virgin who used to get p*gged in the a** by her and their relationship goes all the way back to 2015.
— i Report Racism & Child Crimes (@SeeRacists) May 11, 2026
CHUD THE BUILDER AKA DETECTIVE LOCK JAW EXPOSED
So it turns out the black woman That spoke with Chud last week Publicly on live stream Is a hermophadite sex worker That used to hit Chud from the back Along with her ex wife
Eatherly did not immediately return The Independent’s request for comment on the recent allegations against him.
The streamer has defended his inflammatory behavior as free speech in the past.
On a fundraising page launched in November, Eatherly asked for financial help after saying his contracting business in Clarksville, Tennessee, was struggling because he was “under attack” for his racist online presence.
“I’ve shared mild jokes, unfiltered thoughts, and yes, sometimes I’ve used the N-word in what I thought was edgy, harmless humor,” Eatherly said on the site. “ I know it’s controversial, but it’s my right to speak freely.”
Some crazy stuff.
White streamer Trevv snatched his $400 cowboy hat and plans to sell it. He plans on donating the proceeds to charity.
A Black transwoman named Lily Venus said that Eatherly had engaged in sexual contact with her. She said that he was always on the bottom. She warned him not to share too much about their relationship.
Dalton Levi Eatherly, known as Chud The Builder is the Romeo Rose of Clarksville, Tennessee.
You will spot him around metro Nashville harassing Black people for click bait. Still saying racial slurs. Promoting Islamophobia and antisemitism. Still promoting his failed projects.
Not allowed to own firearms.
Required parental supervision when seeing his child.
Embarrassing his family.
All for free speech.
Wanting a Black person to harm him so he can collect a coin. His devotion to Karenism is a money making strategy. Not the smartest, but I get it. He desperately trying to point out double standards. He wants to be free to say racial slurs and intimidate people.
While he is free to speak, his relentless harassing and threats of violence are not smart strategy.
Chud we hardly knew thee.
Paying over $5.75⁹ for diesel in his huge truck is hurting him. He also is struggling to pay his bills. Cause nothing screams struggle than asking for GiveSendGo requests.
Dalton Eatherly, for all the racial slurs, the MAGAland, the gaslighting and signs of autistic behavior, you are perfectly entitled to speaking your opinions. I am not a doctor but you show signs of asperger's syndrome.
You can freely walk around Tennessee with your firearm trying to be the tough guy.
You can film yourself instigating or sharing a video of Black people showing grievances.
You can make Sora videos to depict Blacks as whatever you want.
At the end of the day, you're a nobody. Just a worthless penny in a bank of coins.
They can be assholes all the want. They are obsessed with Black people.
It's free speech.
Sharing images of Black women with children by calling them future thugs. Or White women with children who were born from a father of color. They certainly love calling white women traitors for loving outside their race.
They showed us who they are when they harassed HBCUs in the wake of that white nationalist's death.
They showed us who they are when the Supreme Court rolled back long established rulings, laws and achievements to protect the fragile feelings of white privileged Americans.
What do they want to offer us next?
A bunch of memes depicting Black people posing with firearms, eating chicken, watermelons, peanuts or turkey legs. A mene of Black people drinking a 40oz malt liquor or a grape drink.
Or they want to make memes of bearded men expressing their freedoms to wear a dress, heels or makeup.
They certainly love to attack transgender women for looking way better than the women they try to well.... in Trump’s word "pull up to and grab 'em by the...."
Or a meme where a picture of a turban wearing individual posing with a gun or a depiction of an Arab with the decapitated head of a white person.
Republicans, libertarians and conservatives have always been like this. It was never a closed door or a private chat.
They referred to Black people as monkeys and “the watermelon people” and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies and driving them to suicide and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.
People, please do not resort to the levels of those who profit off the anger. The anger of right wing Americans in the wake of white nationalist Charlie Kirk's death has sparked a censorship and harassment campaign.
The right wing ain't got the smoke for the shooter, his family and the Utah state government allowing open carry on school campuses. They ain't got the smoke for the people who advocate violence against people perceived as threats to society.
They want to go after the vulnerable. Typical of these folks.
All the while, the rich are getting richer. Israel is still committing a genocide and war crimes from every angle. Russia is pushing further in Ukraine with Lithuania and Poland next on the country's agenda. China is becoming the superpower as they are moving on from exporting goods to the United States for other nations.
China is working on solving problems the United States failed at doing.
Food prices are increasing.
We are in endless wars.
General merchandise prices are increasing.
The cost of living is increasing.
Inflation has rising this month.
Unemployment is increasing.
Gasoline prices are increasing.
Wages are stagnant.
Jobs are not satisfying.
Where does the outrage go to?
Random people who don't agree with these folks politics.
Y'all voted for chaos and you got it. Black Americans who didn't vote for President Donald J. Trump are keeping our heads down and not trying to get involved in the noise.
Republicans bank on culture wars as well as divide and conquer. They are worthless even in power. With majorities in Congress, the White House and state governments, they still ruin everything for an imaginary sky deity. They want to push anti-Black policies under guise of Black empowerment through conservatism.
We are not trying to hand the Democrats a free pass either. They need to clean house on Zionists, racists, homophobes and Islamophobes. The Democrats are unpopular too.
Yes, political violence existed before Trump. I mean there were politicial assassinations of presidents, lawmakers and controversial figures. The United States is the most violent country in the world.
You expect nothing less of this country.
FREEDOM!
People are emboldened to carry out violent acts against individuals who spurned them.
This behavior by supporters of Trump is a catalyst to a potential civil war.
Endless chaos.
A decline of power in the United States.

They are scared that the bullet won't miss. They want you to risk your freedom or your life to protect their right to gas you up to commit unspeakable crimes against one another.
Let me be clear: I do not condone violence towards to politicians, media personalities, animals and property. I am not condemning things any longer. I am getting tired of putting empathy on antipathy.
Keep the Black community out of it.
1 in 5 Americans believe violence is the only way to solve political problems. Trust me, it is a coming. There is a reckoning with the status quo thanks to Trump.
The Netflix roast of legendary comedian Kevin Hart has a surprise guest. The guest comes to the stage to end a longstanding feud but publicly air out his frustrations.
Chelsea Handler, Pete Davidson, Jeff Ross, Regina Hall, Draymond Green, Tony Hinchcliffe, and Sheryl Underwood. The star-studded event also included musical performances by Usher and Lizzo, surprise sets from Katt Williams and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and a cameo by Tom Brady.
Kevin Hart got into the hot seat and Netflix gave the material.
During Netflix's The Roast of Kevin Hart on Sunday, May 10, Regina Hall introduced Williams, 54, as a surprise comedian and performer more than two hours into the roast in honor of Hart, 46.
The pair of comedians previously traded barbs in 2018, when Williams complained in a radio interview that comedians like Hart and Tiffany Haddish did not deserve the success they had found so quickly in their careers. In 2024, Williams also suggested during a podcast interview that Hart routinely took several movie roles from him while Williams was still considering signing on to those projects.
“I'm surprised they invited me. That's how little star power you have. They had to start inviting your enemies. I said, ‘I hate him.' They said, ‘Come anyway,' " Williams told Hart, as he took the stage, to laughter during the roast. "Very humble of me to be at your GOAT roast tonight, Kevin. I've won an Emmy Award, but this is going to be my best acting tonight as I pretend like you are a GOAT."
Williams also zinged Hart for participating in the Saudi Arabia-set Riyadh Comedy Festival in 2025, which Hart and a number of American comedians were criticized for taking part in by other comedians and organizations like Human Rights Watch due to the country's suppression of free speech.
"You're wondering, why is the Katt man doing this? For the money, bitch," the comedian said. "This is my Riyadh Comedy Festival. Only one with a soul.”
Katt Williams’ full set on The Roast Of Kevin Hart on Netflix.
Pete Davidson made a Charlie Kirk joke toward Tony Hinchcliffe and calls Ye a ‘gay Nazi’ during Kevin Hart’s roast.
“Tony reminds me of Charlie Kirk, and that’s he’s definitely been on camera letting a guy unload in his throat. Oh you don’t know me? yeah ‘Kill Tony.’ Please… pic.twitter.com/JGmZMX2AAk

🇺🇸🇵🇸 Shane Gillis at the Netflix Roast of Kevin Hart calls out Chelsea Handler for being a ZIonist Epstein associate:
"Chelsea is a Zionist.. speaking of dead kids, she's a big fan of abortions. Chelsea's been scrapped more times than the grill at Benihana... speaking of tossing… pic.twitter.com/7VbqL5zxeO

Tony Hinchcliffe did not hold back at the Kevin Hart roast 😭😭😭
“Her (Sheryl Underwood) husband commited suicide 3 years into the marriage, I’ve been sitting next to her for 2 hours and I have to ask how did he last that long”pic.twitter.com/F1GRsvjfnv
The show also featured performances from Dwayne Johnson, Pete Davidson, Chelsea Handler, Tom Brady, Draymond Green, Shane Gillis, Jeff Ross and more celebrities. Williams pointed to his past statements about Hart's place within the entertainment industry during his surprise set.
"For those of you just joining us, Kevin and I had beef, and I'll tell you why. Because, privately, this motherfucker stole everything from me. Before he saw my act, he was a 6-foot-3 White man," he said.
Williams continued, "I tried to tell y'all that Kevin Hart was a plant, because I keep burying him. He keeps springing back the fuck up, just like a plant. Yes, I said some things I'd like to take back, some things I said were misunderstood. I did say that Kevin was a Hollywood puppet, and I want to explain that because it might not be what you think. I meant that the head of Netflix literally has his whole hand up Kevin's ass and can make him do anything.”
Hart, who sat onstage during Williams' set, approached the comedian after Williams finished his performance. “Me and this man have been at odds for years on years. You coming out here, quite the fucking surprise. But Katt, I can sit, I can watch you, I can laugh because I'm a fucking fan first ... Katt, we have an opportunity in real time — this is live television — to put our fucking beef behind us. I am offering you an olive branch of peace. I want to be a brother. I want to be a friend, Katt."
Tony Hinchcliffe aka Kill Tony once again got another racist joke out. He made reference to George Floyd. Hinchcliffe faced major backlash for a joke he made about the murder of George Floyd during the Netflix special The Roast of Kevin Hart. During his set, Hinchcliffe said: "The Black community is so proud of you... right now, George Floyd is looking up at us all laughing so hard that he can’t breathe."
George Floyd’s family and foundation strongly condemned the joke, expressing disappointment toward both Hinchcliffe and Kevin Hart. The family publicly stated that Hinchcliffe's comments—which also follow similar jokes Hinchcliffe previously made during Tom Brady's roast—have caused additional pain for Floyd's loved ones, especially his children who are being bullied at school.
