Heads Off In Macon!

Body found near cruising motel.

A person discovers a body in the woods near a Macon, Georgia hotel and restaurant. The body was pretty much was bones and clothes. What was missing was the head. Now the Macon Police-Bibb County Sheriff's Department are investigating.

Upon entering woods behind America's Best Value Inn and Burger King remains were found. 

The remains were partially buried in dirt. Bibb County authorities found a body in the woods off Romeiser Drive in Macon, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.

The body was located deep in the woods behind the America's Best Value motel located near Eisenhower Parkway, according to Jones. He said it appeared the body had been in the woods for a long time, but could not confirm the sex or the race of the person. 

The body was found face down with a pair of black tennis shoes near the body, but Jones is unsure if the shoes belong to the person.

That hotel and two others were on a list of nuisance properties due to drugs, prostitution and illegal activities.

The three motels are the the America’s Best Value Inn and Suites on Romeiser Drive, the America’s Best Inn and Suites on Harrison Road, and the Econo Lodge Inn and Suites on Chambers Road.

A few days ago, a woman was found dead at the Econo Lodge. Bibb County Deputies say there's no evidence of foul play but the motel is no stranger to death, after another woman was found shot to death there nearly a year ago.

The complaint filed against the the Chambers Road motel lists five separate incidents of of illegal activity including an ongoing investigation into possible human trafficking and prostitution.
