Dwyane Wade: Keep My Son Out Ya Mouth!

Dwyane Wade supports his son. Trolls attack his son for being gay.
Retired NBA star Dwyane Wade comes out in support of his son. Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union are currently feuding with Simon Cowell over her firing at America's Got Talent.

Wade decides to take a picture with his daughter, his wife and his son, Zion.

The picture goes viral. And then here comes the trolls!

This year, Wade was dealing with trolls taunting his son because he is gender fluid (or gay).

Back in April, Wade's son went with his stepmother and older brother at the Miami Beach pride festival. Union and his brother Zaire were supportive of Zion coming out.

"Zion had his own cheering section today. Wish I was there to see you smile kid," Wade posted on social media. "We support each other with pride. It's a family thing."

Wade took to social media after folks started posting on Union's social media about the appearance of Zion. They mocked him for wearing a crop-top and fake nails. Some were cruel to the young child.

Wade didn't take kind to trolls talking crap about his son.

Like most fathers, some find it hard to accept a child that could be gay. It's hard to accept in some conservative families. Especially in the Black community.

A third tweet called out the "hate" his family had received, adding that "stupidity is a part of this world we live in."

He went on to defend his parenting and Zion's right to dress as he chooses.

"I've been chose to lead my family, not y'all," he posted. "So we will continue to be us and support each other with pride, love and a smile."

Granted, he is quickly learning that the trolls on Twitter and Instagram won't let him or Union post a photo without adding in their opinion about whether or not he is doing everything correctly. That's the nature of social media.

The longtime Heat star has heard this criticism, and he is not very happy about it. In his opinion, the anonymous users on Twitter should leave him alone and let him raise his family how he and Union see fit.
